To explain: Water tends to be absorbed by food, such as breads and vegetation, hence the SE and Immunity factor. If you feed a ghost who is like a sheet, he gonna get fat. And heart? It may be more the arteries, but your heart doesn't want the clog!
Grasses and vegetation are practically food thus it resists food (but there's no way in hell you're dragging up an eighth type to resist poor grass.)
Ice is the fridge, it tends to put food in stasis, and Bugs tend to eat food. Normies love food! Seriously, Ratatta? They love scavenging? The normal birds? They'll pick at what they can! Bidoof? He can gnaw through any meal thrown at him!
Dragons are devourers. Food is worthless against them.
Space tends to... well, try growing food in space. Oh and time rots food. Bugs eat food and normies and Dragons do too.
Meanwhile food tends to numb the mind, and the savage beast. Dirt makes food dusty, but for Pokemon? They don't care the way humans do. Fire makes food cooked and yummy! Electric cookers do that too.
We need more types with high resist counts.
