1. Players are limited to only 2 basic mafias at a time. The big mafia games are counted separately.

2. A small mafia game is defined as a game with very few players. Generally, below 25 players is heavily recommended.

3. Currently, only 3 small mafia games may be hosted at the same time.

4. Players who are not participating in any other basic mafia will be Priority 1 players, players who are already in another game will be Priority 2 players and players who are already playing their full quota of games will be Priority 3 players. The players themselves must post what category they belong to when they sign up.

5. Sign-ups will be posted and dealt with by mods using a random number generator site to ensure that all the people that sign up have a fair chance. This is there because people don't trust others to do this fairly. Additionally, Priority 1 players will get spots before Priority 2 and so on.

6. *NEW* An exception to this is if a host chooses to handpick his players. Priority is then irrelevant, and the player list can consist of anyone the host wants to include. However, the host may only choose to do this if:
- at least one of the hosts has successfully hosted a game before
- none of the hosts has handpicked the player list of their last game
- there is no other handpicked game going on at the moment

Note that players in games with handpicked lists still have their priority lowered like normal.

7. All basic mafia games must have their playing roster randomized. However, hosts can choose to reserve up to 7 spot for players they choose. This should only contain Priority 1 players unless there are spots left over AFTER giving a spot to all Priority 1 players. In this case, a host could reserve a spot for a Priority 2 player and so on.

8. Hosts worried about idling can implement this rule: "Unless notified beforehand, every player in the game must send in a pm to the 'Host' or post in the thread during each game cycle. Failure to follow this rule will result in you being subbed out and banned for the next basic mafia game. If you have any problems with this rule, notify the host immediately."

9. Being dead or having subbed out from another game will still count towards your tally until the game in question ends. Exceptions from this are Night 1 deaths which are really unavoidable!

10. The Game Listings Thread should list the line-up for the upcoming basic mafia games to clear up any issues of people signing up for a mafia that they feel is inferior to one that just became available.

11. Hosts must keep signups open for a minimum of 48 hours. At this point, they should ask any of the mods to close the thread and do the randomization for them.
