Challenge The Scramble Challenge - Mark 2

Hey guys! Been a loooong time since I've done one of these. I suddenly just got in the mood to do another, so I'm gonna try and do an X or Y scramble. Got a few specifications though:

  • I can and will probably trade over level one versions of the entire team at game's start, so feel free to give me anything from any gen!
  • Any difficulty you want is fine.
  • I won't be using Exp Share, so keeping Pokes within certain level ranges of the party challenges are totally fine!
  • No starters, except for Fennekin. Only one I haven't really used before.
  • No non-evolving challenges, please.
  • I would like to have at least one mega-evolvable Pokemon, but one that I haven't used before. That means Abomasnow, Banette, Manectric, Medicham, Mawile, Houndoom or Pinsir.
  • At least one fairy type that isn't Marill.
  • Try and give me some more unorthodox Pokemon. The last time I did one of these, I fell in love with Sawsbuck, a 'mon I never would have used out of these challenges.
  • If you give me a challenge of something I've used, I may ask if I can do something similar on a different Poke instead of outright rejecting it.
I think that's all! Hope it's not specific enough to give you guys some freedom to come up with fun ideas. Thanks in advance!

Lightwind take Silent the Whismur. Silent must have a Quiet nature, if possible. Feel free to do Everstone breeding and stuff to get a Quiet nature. Silent grew up in a very loud city, and all the noise made him/her deaf. So, Silent must have the Soundproof ability. Also, Silent cannot use any sound-based moves. When Silent evolves into Loudred, re-nickname it Teacher. During evolution, Silent became no longer deaf! However, his/her ears are rather delicate now, but Teacher does like listening to soft music, and must solo all enemy Pokemon that use soft music(Soft music is Relic Song, Perish Song, and Disarming Voice).Teacher learned much from his time as Silent, and wishes to teach other Pokemon. So, Teacher can never be the lowest-leveled Pokemon in your party. When you meet Team Flare, Teacher HATES the Team Flare battle music, and must solo all Team Flare grunts you come across. Also, Teacher-Oh, no! I just broke the fourth wall! Anyway, when Teacher evolves into Exploud, re-nickname it Jazz. Jazz's ears are all better now, and may now learn one, and only one, sound-based move. However, the Team Flare restriction still applies. Also, the level restriction no longer applies. That's all, gl, and hf!

Lightwind take the Fennekin named Mr. Peterson. This is where the name comes from.

Mr. Peterson believes every day is opposite day, which is why he looks like a girl even though he's really a dude! The type chart is also switched up on opposite day, so he will never use a super effective attack on his opponents. In fact, he will always use the attack that will do the least damage to his opponent! He also will not use moves that boost his stats or lower his opponent's stats, believing that he is actually lowering his own and raising his opponent's. However, moves that have a stat affecting side effect are free to use, since those effects are accidental. He must also solo Grant, since on opposite day, Fire has the advantage over Rock!

Good luck!

Lightwind Take iNVERSE (capitalization intended) the Riolu. Inverse the Riolu believes that he causes all his battles to be inverse battles. As such, he may never switch out against a Ghost, Fire, Ground, or Fight-type (but just Psychic, Flying, Fairy, and Ghost as a Riolu), and must never use a SE attack (changed to NVE attacks if you battle the guy who does Inverse Battles). Also, he must be taught Hi Jump Kick and Crunch via egg move, as those two moves have perfect coverage, bar none. He may only forget either such move for another move of that same type.

To evolve into a Lucario, it must solo Grant's entire gym (except Grant himself) and one of every normal-type (or part-normal type), barring Snorlax, that you can find in the wild before your battle against Grant, to prove it can overpower type disadvantages. He may not battle against Valerie, for he thinks that a Fight-type should not battle Fairies in Inverse Battles due to the type advantage. He must solo Wulfric, to prove that he can overcome such major type disadvantages. At the E4, he must solo a total of 4 pokemon from Wilkstrom and Drasna (in total, not 4 of each) for the same reason. It must go on to solo both of Diantha's fossil pokemon, to prove its power once and for all.

In double battles and larger formats, he makes your allied pokemon also think it is an inverse battle. The inverse battle and opposite day cancel out, and Riolu's type-based restrictions are lifted if your Fennekin (or whatever it evolved into) is also in play.

All three of these are awesome! Definitely accepting, one slight concern on iNVERSE though. I'd kind of rather not use another Lucario, could I do something similar with, say, a Croagunk or a Medicham?

Lightwind take Sylvan the Bagon.

Sylvan had always led a life of peace in his home, but then everything changed when the Fairies arrived. Forced to flee for his life, Sylvan encountered you, and deemed you a trainer strong enough to train him up to fight back against the Fairies that took his home.

First up, it must learn the Fairies' weaknesses, and must know at least one Poison, Steel or Fire type move.
2nd, as a Salamence, it must master mid-air combat, in order to compete with the flying foes, so it must learn Fly.

Regardless of his evolutionary stage, Sylvan must solo Valarie's gym minus Valrie herself, as he is too exhausted facing off against her grunts that he cannot take on the Fairy leader himself.

Dissapointed with himself, Sylvan goes into a state of depression, and becomes unfocused in battle. Every second attack he makes is determined at random (roll a die or flip a coin twice (HH, HT, TH, TT) to determine the move). He stays like this until Lysandre reveals the ultimate weapon, realising that if Lysandre isn't stopped, he won't even have a home to return to.

After Lysandre's defeat, Sylvan is inspired anew and resolves to defeat the most powerful fairy of all, Diantha's Gardevoir. (He doesn't have to solo, just land the finishing blow.) In doing so, he will have caused the fairies to retreat from his homeland, as they know that they're not a match for the Gardevoir slayer.

GL;HF

Sure. Use it with a Croagunk that starts knowing Drain Punch and Sucker Punch. He may not switch out against Psychic, Flying, Fairy, Ghost, and Ground, and may not battle Olympia instead of Valerie.

Awesome, thanks! Definitely taking this one!

Lightwind take Sylvan the Bagon.
I most certainly will! Thanks, Sylvan looks really cool!

So far, that's Fennekin, Whismur, Croagunk and Bagon. Still need two more, and would like a fairy type and one of the Mega's I mentioned before if possible:
Abomasnow, Banette, Manectric, Medicham, Mawile, Houndoom or Pinsir.
Really excited to get this one underway! Thanks everyone!

I need 4 more for my black scramble...
I'm also gonna stop doing gym updates for my Y scramble because i keep on forgetting to do them.

Thanks in advance for your attention!

3 more, please.

Lightwind can I reserve a spot?
Absolutely! And in return, I'll give you one! ;D.

Battle Scissor take Luckybot the Magnemite. You are not Luckybot's first trainer; his first partner was a Game Corner addict, and the two spent many-a-night sleeping on its floor, in search of the next big jackpot. Those days are still fresh in his mind, as he was released as part of a losing bet from its former trainer. While it has been somewhat difficult for Luckybot to revert to a life of battle rather than gambling, he has managed to succeed by emulating his favorite casino-style game.

When you catch Luckybot, roll a six-sided dice. The result of the dice determines what battle style he will use:

  • 1 is Blackjack! Luckybot must have and keep the move Sonicboom. He must open every battle he is in with it and use it every other move; he always subscribed to the theory that hitting 20 and stopping was way more effective than going for the 21.
  • 2 is Poker! Luckybot must learn two Stat Reduction moves as soon as possible (Screech / Metal Sound, Supersonic or Lock-On can be used instead of either one of those is unobtainable or in the interim) and use both on an opponent before attacking. That one, unblinking eye of his was a lot more intimidating than you might think.
  • 3 is Roulette! Luckybot can learn any four moves he wants, but must use them in the following sequence: ABCD-BCDA-CDAB-DABC, etc. This sequence must continue from battle to battle (if possible; if you lose track, just start from the beginning again) and the position of moves cannot be swapped. Bet it all on black, baby!
  • 4 is Slots! Again, Luckybot can learn any four moves he wants, but each time he uses a move, he must repeat it another two times before he can use something else! This also persists through battles. Luckybot never wasted his time on going for diagonals; three down the middle was the way to go.
  • 5 is the Wheel of Fortune! When teaching Luckybot a new move, you must roll a four-sided dice (or use a RNG) to determine which move he will replace. For additional challenge (if you don't mind rolling dice a lot), you must use this same method to determine which attack will be used during battle. This one was all about Luck, and hey, it's in the name!
  • 6 is High Rollers! Anytime that Luckybot can learn a new move of a higher base power than one he currently possesses (level up OR TM), he MUST learn it, replacing the lowest base power move he had. In battle, Luckybot must use the highest base-power move he has until its PP runs out. This is where the big money was made (and the big losers were discovered!)
Additionally, when in a city with a Game Corner (Goldenrod and Celadon), Luckybot must solo all trainers (including gym battles) - that is, if you've caught one by then.

Good luck! (Get it? Hehehe.)

Nice job getting Illuminate! To remind you, details are in earlier posts.

As for Lightwind You get a Jigglypuff named Songster that must have Sing and a sound-based attacking move at all times. It may not evolve unless it solos a Gym Leader using only sound-based moves.

Geez. I really intended to throw in some challenges for you guys, and I actually had one all written up. I never posted it tho, since I intended to make another one in the same post, but it got stalled by a couple of my friends being around for pretty much all of the week... and well, my written one wasn't needed anymore.

Verxilo: I'll give you Bruce the Tynamo.
Tynamo is a pretty bad Pokemon, so it won't have any of these restrictions until it evolves.
Bruce can only have one Electric-type move, which is the only move it can use until the opponent is paralysed. In addition to this, it should always have Crunch as a move. (These are based on Eelektrik's Dex entry from BW2 and X)
Due to how evolutionary stones usually greatly hinder learning new moves, Bruce may not learn any new moves in any way after evolving into Eelektross.
Lastly, Eelektross must solo one E4 member of your choice (Obviously, if a different Pokemon is already required to solo someone, that's not an option.

I would've wished to give out more than one challenge, but... I'm bad. Real bad.
Reminder though, that while giving out challenges, a Y challange of mine is still missing 4 members.

I'm good with this! Just one question... Why is it's name Bruce? I honestly have no idea, but if you could tell me, that'd be great! Thank you.

I bet you aren't prepared for this... because Tynamo evolves into an eel. As in... Bruce Eel.

I'm so, so sorry.
Eh, it's fine. I'm used to bad puns like that. Anyway, thanks for telling me! I shall add it to my list when possible.

EDIT: Is it ok if I name it Bruce Backwards? TY

Many tales of frustration... I almost beat the Diantha in my Scramble Challenge after soloing Siebold with Furfrou because why not, but anyway, Diantha killed me and now I have to do all my hard work over again! NUUUUUUUU!!!! WHYYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!??!?!? Ok that's enough for today. Thank you for listening.

Also I need 3 more scramble mons for my black scramble because I wanna be able to start that as soon as I'm done w/ the Y Scramble.

Alright, let's fill that reserve slot!

Verxilo you get Deniapede the Venipede. Our poor buggy friend here is in full denial that he is, in fact a bug; therefore, he may not learn any bug type moves, and must solo all bug type Pokemon he sees, trainer and wild. He also shows no fear of Pokemon that are strong against bug, so if he finds himself in battle against a Fire, Flying or Rock type, he will refuse to be switched out.

To evolve, Deniapede must solo Burgh's gym. After seeing how cool his Whirlipede is, he'll be feeling a little better about his true self, so he must learn Steamroller when it becomes available (only after he evolves though).

However, Deniapede runs into a roadblock when your team reaches Skyla's gym. After (probably) spending most of the gym watching his teammates take down bird after bird, he gets really jealous and wants a turn for himself. He must solo Skyla, after which he realizes that hiding his bug typing is only hurting him in the end. From then on, he can evolve into Scoliopede, and must learn every bug-type move available to him when it arrives (X-Scissor via TMs, Megahorn if you have a heart scale). He no longer refuses to switch out upon seeing a Pokemon bug type is weak to, but he still feels the need to solo all bug Pokemon to prove his strength.

That's all, have fun!
