Steam Christmas sale

Oh man I got the Hexen pack for less than 5 dollars. My brother and I played a soundless Heretic demo (first chapter only) for soooo long this is like a present Santa never brought. No one else got it?

Fuck me for missing Portal 2.

Got Portal 2 :U, already played a pirate version some months ago but I want to try the co-op
Also bought BIT.TRIP.RUNNER, pretty fun game, and some old valve classics (TFC, Deathmatch, CS and Ricochet)
EDIT: so my final list is this

Sonic Generations
Street Fighter IV
BIT.TRIP.RUNNER
Portal 2
Counter Strike
Counter Strike: Condition Zero
Deathmatch Classic
Day of Defeat
Team Fortress Classic
Ricochet
Psychonauts (great pile of gifts)

Total spent: $ 27-ish

wow D:

Didn't buy much this time, but still got a fair bit for £30:

The Witcher Enhanced Edition (ROW)
The Witcher 2
Rock of Ages
Avadon: The Black Fortress (lol)
Hitman Collection
BIT.TRIP.BEAT
HOARD
and a few tf2 keys for the Winter Crates :x

Being broke during the sale is not fun, especially since I bought some games before the achi stuff started. Including those, all the damage this month:

Psychonauts
LIMBO
Magicka
Prototype

For altogether 15€. In addition I got a Shattered Horizon gift (unpacked), DOTA2 gift, 3 coupons and some coal. Dunno what to do with the SH and the coupons, I don't want them :| (-33% Valve, -25% Paradox, -50% Gratuitous Space Battles).

I decided to bite the bullet earlier today and buy Bastion as part of the encore.
Here's my final list:
Bastion (£3~)
Blocks That Matter (£1~)
Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time (£1~)*
Dungeons of Dreadmor (87p lol)
EDGE (£2~)
GRID (£5~)
Plants v Zombies: GOTY Edition (£3~)
Portal
Portal 2 (£5 for the bundle)
Prototype (£4~)
Recettear (£4~)
RUSH (£1~)
Solar 2 (£2~)
Terraria (free from dak)
Toki Tori (£2~)
Universe Sandbox (£3~)
Worms Crazy Golf (£3~)*

Total Spend: £40-42

*I bought these for my family who share the PC I use for gaming.

I'm quite happy actually, especially with Portal 2, GRID, and Prototype - games that would've cost me £20+ each if I bought them for PS3.

I ended up getting:

GTA Complete Pack - $17.50
Mass Effect 1/2 - $10
Sacred Gold/2 - $15

Not too much, but I now realise that I have a fair amount of game that I should probably download.

My list of purchases:

Assassin's Creed
Assassin's Creed 2
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed Revelations
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: Arkham City
BioShock
BioShock 2
Dragon Age: Origins
Skyrim
LA Noir
Portal
Portal 2

I spent more this holiday season than I wanted to, but I managed to get 13 solid titles for around 200 USD.

I got:

Bastion ($5)
Batmam: Arkham Asylum ($5)
Half-Life Complete ($20)
Left 4 Dead 2 ($5)
Magicka ($2.50)
Portal 2 ($15)
Skyrim ($40)

So a little over $90. Man I got played by Steam so hard. I would never buy most of these games while I have no income, let alone all in one week.

I got:
Fallout 3
Oblivion
Morrowind
Dungeon Defenders
universe Sandbox
Nuclear Down
Audiosurf
Terraria
Overlord
As well as every Valve game for free

so I actually didnt spend muc hat all, Universe Sandbox has been by far my favourite so far

Well, I just bought Steam this Christmas because the sales were simply too great to refuse. Here's what I picked up:

Portal
Portal 2
Orcs Must Die!
HOARD
Terraria
Plants vs. Zombies: GotY
Braid
Bioshock
Bioshock 2
Magicka
Rochard
Civilization V
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Fallout: New Vegas
Flight Control HD
Frozen Synapse
Defense Grid: The Awakening
Audiosurf
Star Wars: KOTOR
Bastion
Borderlands
Batman: Arkham Asylum GotY
Overlord
Overlord 2
Team Fortress 2
Garry's Mod
LIMBO
Half-Life 2

Bought it all for around $80. Steam simply made offers I can't refuse. I also got coupons for Atom Zombie Smasher and Psychonauts, so I'll likely pick those up later. Now, time to get playing!

Not seeing many people pick up KOTOR and Fable: The Lost Chapters makes me sad. I'm hoping that that's just because you've all played them before...

This is sort of off topic since it's not Steam, but Green Man Gaming is having a 14-day sale that started yesterday, likely building off of the momentum from Steam. If you missed out on any particular deals during the Steam sale, consider checking them out. They don't have any publisher-wide sales like Steam did, but their daily deals are just as good.

Some of their games can be activated on Steam too, it will say so on the product page; otherwise you need their own client called Capsule.

I did my best, I have no regrets!
