SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

Nope. I went there to check if there were other people with an early copy.

Did I ever mention I despise that place? :row:

At any rate, it's an incredibly superfluous design. Smoliv was obviously designed to be meme material as is, they didn't need to add another plant humanoid right after Hisuian Lilligant.
I'm not going to saddle this thread with a collage of /vp/ posts asserting Tsareena and/or Lilligant superiority over the latest plant—yes, there are that many already—but I think you're missing the forest for the trees, as it were. Give it 30 days, and they'll pretend to have never heard the name "Dolliv."

Man, I am SO tired of girly grass mons... Gimme something gnarly and wicked looking!
I feel you. On one hand, Roserade and Tsareena are precious to me. On the other hand, I am saddened to remember man-eaters like Victreebel and Carnivine are in short supply. It doesn't help that every generation reserves at least one 3-stage line for a Grass-type starter that's strictly an animal with leaves glued on. Instead of creaking branches and snaring vines, we get weedcat. Our last tree monster (and the only one larger than the average NBA player) was Alolan Exeggutor, itself a redesign of one of the original 151.

Shout-outs to Gigantamax Rillaboom for at least falling in a grey area such that I'd feel remiss not to mention it.
I did not foresee the gorilla growing into the drum.

While Zarude is just a grass monkey (2 in a gen? lol), it's at least pretty inspired and quite vicious looking. I love how it has vines to swing from built-in, that's clever

Honestly when it comes to Dolliv I'll hold my judgement until we see the final stage. I'll admit I find it cute though.

If the design for the final stage is just Gardevoir but plant or something like that I'll be disappointed. If it were to incorporate olive trees into its design with bark-like skin or something that'd be kinda cool though ngl.

Someone let me know when we have a count for how many total catchable in game. Seems like it will be 400, but ping me when it is confirmed.

I'm also wondering what the in game stat screen looks like. And I do wonder if we get the 40 boxes Brilliant Diamond/Pearl had or we're going back to 32. Give us 40 please!

Well Arachnophobia is the most common phobia and different countries have different age ratings. I know ESRB doesn't do this, but I thought Japan did.
Eastern countries are way less prone to arachnophobia. They have a lot more cultural significance over there due to weaving than the west where we just paint them as evil and vemonous (when ours aren't even as venomous as theirs).

Unless spiders are banned for a protected cultural significance (idk anything that is animal wise lol..) I highly doubt GF banned 8 legged arachnids for that purpose, its probably just for design cause artist don't want to dig themselves a grave when they draw card art/animate in the anime. Ariados is a pretty common pokemon back then and if they gave it 8 legs well..

I found a Pastebin that seemingly lists the names of all the Gen 9 Pokemon.

This is a new one, and it seems more legit this time. Of course, take it with a grain of salt as usual.
Naming convention for the violet paradoxes doesn't match the leaked "iron xyz" pattern that Japanese/Chinese have, and seems unlikely they'd change that. The types also don't match what's expected (eg, too many dragons). Kaka could have been wrong, and I wouldn't be mad at fairy/dragon jiggly, but this list doesn't look likely.

At least it should be debunked when leaker finds a new mon.

Ok, back to avoiding the thread for me, clicked it out of habit... :P

That's the third example of Toxalotl I've seen, with Bravely Second and Temtem already using it.

Edit:

I can't tell if this a a compliment or an insult to Etherium. I'm guessing fake for the whole list, the other leaked name lists have all been debunked, why would this one be different.

Could somebody please do me a big favor and reply to this post with what we know about general game content? More specifically I'd like to know if the towns are empty, if the routes are short, are there caves/dungeons to explore, what is the level scaling like esp with badges being any order, is there any postgame/battle frontier content, and anything else in this sort of vein.

Most of the leaks discussion so far seems to be focused on new mons and the dex but I haven't looked into much detail; I don't really want to be "spoiled" by this side of things. I'm mostly just interested in knowing if this release is another ripoff or not. I'm also not in any particular rush, if we don't know yet that's cool. Super big thanks in advance to anybody who helps me out. :)
