Earlier today, I decided to play some SV RU Ladder. After a couple games, I was matched up against Feliburn, a friend of mine who I had played many times on ladder. This was just an ordinary SV RU game…UNTIL SUDDENLY…something happened that I have never seen before. After my Slowbro hit Cyclizar with a scald, it suddenly got a status infliction. Now, status inflictions from scald is nothing new. This move is infamous for burning the opponent. However, Feliburn's Cyclizar was inflicted with a status condition known as “British”. This status condition was like burn in that it crippled the Pokemon, but this was an extreme version of burn.

I have no explanation for this status condition. I am bewildered. When I came back a few minutes later, I tried to replicate this, but all the scald’s yielded a burn, not a “British”. This may just be a once in a life time occurrence. Maybe it is a 0.000000000000001% chance of happening. Whatever it is, I have been blessed on this day.

Feliburn: thinking about a real serious plan for 1 hour and a half before it gets shattered by his unplanned ally
GK, Oyster and Pepe: speaking once in a while but ending up with a well-thought plan based on getting the lowkey excellent overall players once everybody has forgotten about them

THE RARELYUSED TIER SHINES BY THE BLUE WHITE RED: AN INTRODUCTION TO OUR GROUP​

Morning gamers,

As the unofficial leader and unofficial spokesman of the (Un)official French community of RarelyUsed, let me introduce you to the official gold mine we have been blessed enough to be gifted of as our national RU community over here. Indeed, this 9th generation allowed us to see a lot of people showing interest in this magnificent tier in France, reviving a community that was basically left for dead from the middle of SwSh onwards, and the less I can say is that our new generation of goons has been particularly brilliant when it comes to RU gaming (especially in SV).
That being said, this is why Rarelyme and I have decided to introduce our dear managers (GoldCat) to our best wonders (I was the only one who thought about it I just forced Rarely to approve), including some more experienced players who may have never really been into RU tours before but are still broken enough to get their chance and do well, according to my skill diff theories (they're always wrong).

(As a matter of fact, they are all very nice and adorable guys to chat and play with, most of them aren't so new to this stuff too so ensure to have a cool team environment if u have them around :3)
(Disclaimer: this list is all about either the "unknown" players on the RU scene, either the newcomers on an upward slope. Therefore, if you don't see my boys Clementine, Suzuya etc. mentioned that's totally normal, they're already well installed kek)


RULT Heroes:
yovan33321 « The Amazing Van » - I don't think I need to take a while on this one since he's already kind of established, but Yovan has been taking a crazy road for more than a year in RU, notably achieving the feat of cursing his partners in RULT playoffs by bolding them all, the rest belongs to history. Being that he made it to the mentioned RULT playoffs in addition to his good seasonal run that came to an end in round 8, the multitask strong lower tiers player he's turned into should be sufficient enough to bring wins whenever he wants to (i.e. when he ain't loading pyuku stall).
Arakd’eau ㋛ « The Blue Bug » - Accused of having been a paid actor for that questionable terastallizing Fairy against Master Chief, it never stopped Arak from being one of the fittest French players at the moment, even though I guess he will veto any tera fairy ideas from now on. Jokes aside, after he's a good builder and a player with a real flow that's very refreshing, definitely one of my favourite "new"comers who will for sure be a good element in SV, being a known name from this new generation of cyborgs who're Cyclizaring everything fr...
Cielau « Lost in J... Monotype » - Known for playing pocket monsters that share the same type for a couple years, it's very recently that The Original Cielau ♪ started to get along the Sableye gang, because yeah he has a real problem with playing these... original spinblockers! Seriously though, taking into account his recent Classic performances, his already established in-game skills thanks to his past few years at a high level in Monotype and the fun food he's being onto since he got into SV RU, it's no surprise to recommend him as a solid dude who could fit in several gens.

Lowkey but crazy:
Hats « The Tunisian Prime Minister » - Oh God. I could spend hours talking about him. Very discreet on the Smogon scene but being one of the most active players in the national zone, Hats is one of the most talented RU players we have down here. Although the mental aspect of the game is sometimes tricky to him, his creativity in the builder and flexibility in terms of generations played make him a rare profile that I think y'all need in a team to always go forward throughout a season. Always down to give ideas and support, definitely consider him as a 3k steal at the very least, I think you won't be disappointed whatsoever.
Cao Jie « The Speedrunner » - I don't have much to say besides that once he gets a team God will guide him to the auto-win but, like, my man would be comfortable playing RBY Doubles OU for 7 weeks why tf would he be scared of BW LMFAOOOOOO
BlazingDark « Mister Sauce » - His name already says it all. Aside from being a now usual SPL player, he showed me a real hype for BW RU during the last RUWC and kept stepping up in-game ever since then. That said, thou can def count on him if thou need, on a sidenote, a +10 years experienced player that's always helpful to help the new dudes around improving their approach of the game, and on a main note a funny guy with a great capacity of metagame analysis that will get him in the bath very quickly. Certainly the best overall player among all of those mentioned.

Lowkey but calmer:
Fathiryxi « The Mayor of Skikda » - Another discreet but invested lower tiers player, here goes Fathiryxi a.k.a RX a.k.a. Bob l'Éponge RER D but also known as a years-skilled man in UU and NU who was also onto it in RU back in PTPL. I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea how knowledgeable he is in RU currently, just bringing his name right here so you know you can get a cool steal that will build DA HEAT whenever he got time to do so and bring you a very fun and enjoyable atmosphere with his amazing life facts. A mix of an underrated builder-player and a very chill guy, an element we need fr.
Kindyy « My life is Bellibolt » - You might have seen him on roomtours many times, but unless Flamigo hid from us that he had a twin, I think Kindy is a real human who defends Bellibolt's rights and that's rare enough to be mentioned so there you go! Here as well, he's the better man to tell you if his motivation for the tour and his overall meta knowledge is really it, but he's a pretty cool kid and an improving player you should keep an eye on even though he has no experience of tours like this one, being that he's a very newcomer around here. (Get him for RUFPL with no question though, he'll be a Bellibolt until the day he dies)

Dlanyer:
Dlanyer « The Magic Tyrantrum » - Despite having been around for I cannot count how many years and being surely the name you've heard the most of among all of the guys, he has never really had a chance to prove himself in official RU team tours, at least ever since gen 8 dropped, so I think the time has come for him to flip the table. Let's get it straight though: he's an absolute goat in terms of both in-game skills and teambuilder skills. Okay, just be careful whenever he tries to make Togetic work in ORAS, but that left aside, the man who's on the top of Feliburn's blacklist ever since this story of the Discord's pfp bet shows up as a very reliable player whatever gen you put him in, and personally he helped me a lot improving at ORAS so I can do nothing but promoting him as a last but not least.
Also, except if he's playing me, don't be worried about having RNG on your side LOOOOOOOL my man made RBY OU look casual fr


I think that's it, I may have forgotten some ppl (je suis DÉSOLÉ) and I was about to write an essay on three dudes who'd not sign up so I hate them but for sure if you're interested, here are the not so known profiles that I think are the most interesting in our national community, après sah si vous voulez pas me3lich y en a qui veulent.

The RU mainers. The tour players. The French. The ladder heroes. Long ago, the four RU nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when Astrø & the new French RU players attacked. Only Pepeduce, master of all playstyles, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and EviGaro and I discovered the new PepeDuce, a French RU tryhard named Rarelyme. And although his building skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Rarelyme can save the world.
