[OVERVIEW]
Grass
========
With a unique offensive typing, Rotom-C serves as an effective revenge killer and pivot for Grass. Its Electric typing lets it check dangerous Flying-types that threaten Grass such as Mega Pinsir and Mega Charizard Y, and it can whittle down Pokemon with Volt Switch while switching out to their defensive checks. Rotom-C helping keep faster foes in check and serving as the team's revenge killer allows Grass's most dangerous offensive threat, Tapu Bulu, to run other wallbreaking sets such as Choice Band and Swords Dance + Z-Move. Rotom-C can also check threats Tapu Bulu can't, such as Choice Scarf Togekiss and +1 Gyarados. Furthermore, Rotom-C's ability Levitate allows it to switch into powerful Ground-type attacks from threats such as Excadrill that counter-intuitively threaten Grass's defensive core, which takes Ground moves neutrally. However, Rotom-C's merely moderate Special Attack and limited coverage options leave it easily walled by Pokemon such as Chansey, Zapdos, and Mega Venusaur. Rotom-C's awkward Speed tier also leaves it vulnerable to common revenge killers such as Choice Scarf users Victini, Nihilego, and Greninja, though it can still outspeed certain threats such as Choice Scarf Heracross.

Moves
========
Thunderbolt is a strong Electric-type STAB move that is necessary for Rotom-C to effectively check Mega Pinsir and Celesteela. Volt Switch allows Rotom-C to generate momentum off of forced switches and bring teammates in safely. Leaf Storm is Rotom-C's most powerful attack and lets it check threats such as Mega Diancie. Hidden Power Ice is useful coverage for hitting Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Latios as well as pesky Electric-immune foes in the Flying matchup such as Gliscor. Trick is an option over Hidden Power Ice as a means of crippling defensive switch-ins to Rotom-C such as Chansey and Zapdos.
Set Details
========
Maximum Special Attack investment ensures Rotom-C hits as hard as possible, while maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature and a Choice Scarf allows Rotom-C to outspeed key threats such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Alakazam. Levitate is Rotom-C's only ability; it helps Rotom-C check Mega Pinsir in the Bug matchup, lets it avoid Sticky Web, and lets it switch into Ground-type attackers that threaten the team.
Usage Tips
========
Rotom-C should primarily be used as a revenge killer to check offensive threats to the team and generate momentum off them using Volt Switch. Use Volt Switch liberally on predicted switches to pivot safely out to teammates that can take advantage of and to deal chip damage against threats such as Mega Charizard Y that Rotom-C cannot OHKO. Rotom-C benefits greatly from entry hazards set by teammates to deal chip damage against Pokemon it forces out such as Excadrill and Skarmory. Rotom-C should be switched into Ground-type attacks that threaten teammates on Grass, such as Excadrill's Earthquake, so that it can force them out with Leaf Storm. However, take care to preserve Rotom-C in matchups where it'll be needed to check threats to the team, such as Mega Charizard Y when against Flying. If using Trick, use it to cripple dangerous walls to the team such as Zapdos. However, be careful not to give away Rotom-C's Choice Scarf while there are still threats on the field that it is needed to check, such as Choice Scarf Togekiss.
Team Options
========
Every Pokemon on Grass appreciates Rotom-C's ability to bring them in safely on switches using Volt Switch and check threats to the team such as Mega Pinsir. Mega Venusaur is a defensive staple of Grass teams and an excellent teammate for Rotom-C; it easily manages many of the offensive threats Rotom-C cannot check such as Mega Scizor and Mold Breaker Excadrill. In return, Rotom-C can take the pressure off Mega Venusaur to check Sand Rush Excadrill, which takes tremendous damage from Leaf Storm and cannot hit Rotom-C effectively. Cradily and Ferrothorn form an effective hazard stacking core using Stealth Rock and Spikes that helps Rotom-C rack up damage by forcing switches as a revenge killer. Cradily can check Fire-types such as Volcarona for the team, while Ferrothorn manages threats such as Kyurem-B and Latios that Rotom-C struggles to check. Tapu Bulu serves as a dangerous physical attacker and partner to Rotom-C, using Grassy Terrain-boosted STAB attacks and Fighting- and Rock-type coverage to break the many walls Rotom-C lures in and pivots on, such as Zapdos and Chansey. Rotom-C serving as the team's revenge killer also allows Tapu Bulu to utilize wallbreaking sets such as Choice Band and Swords Dance + Z-Move. Celebi is a complementary special attacker that supports Rotom-C in the Poison and Steel matchups with its Psychic-type STAB attacks and useful coverage. Breloom is a strong physical attacker with excellent utility in Spore and strong Technician-boosted priority that assists Rotom-C in the Steel and Normal matchups, where Rotom-C finds itself easily walled by Ferrothorn and Chansey.

Grass
--------
**Grass-types**: Rotom-C is easily walled by Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Mega Venusaur, as they resist both of its STAB moves and can take advantage of it to set entry hazards or attack.
**Special Walls**: Rotom-C's mediocre Special Attack leaves it easily walled by the majority of special walls in the tier such as Chansey, Zapdos, and Alolan Muk.
**Dragon-types**: Even when running Hidden Power Ice, Rotom-C is easily checked by Dragon-types such as Kyurem-B and Latios that can 2HKO it in return.
**Revenge Killers**: Even with Choice Scarf, Rotom-C is still slower than most revenge killers and is vulnerable to faster threats such as Choice Scarf Victini and Choice Scarf Greninja.
**Electric-immune Pokemon**: While Rotom-C can threaten Ground-types with Leaf Storm and Hidden Power Ice, it is walled by other Electric-immune foes such as Alolan Marowak and Thundurus-T. Even against Ground-types, Rotom-C is forced to make predictions and risk losing momentum if they block its Volt Switch.
