Title. Could we have a challangeable Stadium Custom Game?
For those that don't know Custom Game is a challangeable "format" with no clauses, bans or restrictions; it's used either as a sandbox or as a place to test pet mods or OM easily. Currently all gens have a Custom Game, and all gens with Doubles format (ADV forward) also have a Doubles Custom Game, and Gen 6 has a Triples Custom Game, too.
Currently in the RBY community we've started exploring the Pokemon Stadium Rentals metagames - link to RoA forum thread - which is a collection of metagames where you're only allowed to use the Pokemon Stadium rentals (there are several categories of rentals, like Poke Cup or Pika Cup which feature different rental pokemons and thus different formats). Anyhow, what matters here is that the format is currently impossible to play in Showdown - some sets, like for example Chansey, have evasion-boosting moves like Minimize or Double-Team, and there is no Stadium Custom Game to play the format on.
Something to note is that Stadium has different mechanics from base RBY - for example, if you kill with Hyper Beam on RBY you don't get to recharge while you do recharge in Stadium. That's a big meta-warping difference, on top of different crit rates and how long sleep lasts. They're big changes to how the format works. The current consensus in the Stadium community is that evasion moves are probably fine - many mons have Swift in their movesets and mons that have evasion often don't have the offensive moveset to take advantage of it.
Adding a Stadium Custom Game shouldn't be too hard - it's just a format with no clauses added on the Stadium engine, after all. Could that be arranged? Thank you!
