And yes, the fact I usually always sub as scum is why I typically don't give a shit about towntelling. I know that's a VERY bad habit but I just hate playing scum that much lmfao

it was a pretty interesting game, mafia looked fairly close to parity win but then whydon turned up and assassinated 3 maf in a row. Even then jalmont looked like he could totally have enough cred if the order of the guns was in his favor but sadly that was not the case.
The last popcorn setups seemed way townsided because all town needed to die before scum could win but it was fairly unlikely all town would die before that. I think based on genuine rand most ratios in the OP hovered around 50% especially with the addition of parity which I think is a fine and cool mechanic for this sort of setup. Also at first the 48 deadline looked like the game was going to a crawl but then the entire game got finished within the last two days or so, so it was wildly quick once people were feeling confident to press the trigger. The cool part about popcorn is that your reads are the only ones that matter, and some people were able to enact that to a great degree as they were able to hit scum despite the thread consensus not necessarily backing them.

i think in some way we actually hit on the most optimal play pattern
day 1 and to a lesser extent day 2 discussion and reads matter the most because the degree of relevance they have to individual solving capability is at its maximum
but after a couple of flips, particularly after the first mafia flip, the individual value of those reads and that discussion decreases in an inverse relationship to the interactions between flipped game members
as such, the EV of hip shooting increases where successive town members have factual outcomes to base their results on and increased discussion favors mafia until the next flip
even at the end of day 1 and certainly by end of day 2 i hit a point where i felt i was stable in my tier list and the only thing that i was prepared to allow to influence my list was additional flips
which, assuming town is on board, is +value to town when you can control the pace of the flips, being able to chain shots together to provide a bulk of information together is valuable vs spending 48 hours per cycle discussing the latest flip where scum can orchestrate a spin however they want (there's a reason my scum game is so much stronger than my town game)
