Moves
========
Shell smash is self explanatory.
Hydro Pump is the STAB move of choice as it allows omanyte to nail pokemon such as ponyta and larvesta hard.
Earth power allows omanyte to break down bulky waters such as tentacool and the ever so common chinchou. Ancientpower can be used for stab and the occasional boost, and hitting pokemon like snover if you arent running hp fire.
Hidden power fire is used so that ferroseed is not a problem. Ice beam can hit murkrow and other grass types such as foongus although murkrow doesn't like a +2 hydro pump.
Set Details
========
A modest nature is used to maximize omanyte's firepower however a timid nature can be used to outspeed nearly all scarfers in the meta at +2.
Weak armor is the abiliity of choice as it allows omanyte a speed boost while taking little damage due to its high defense. If you do not like the defense drop then either shell armor or swift swim can be used.
The evs are used to maximize omanyte's bulk, special attack, and speed.
Life orb allows omanyte that extra oomph while eviolite allows omanyte neutral defenses after a shell smash. Berry juice can also be used to allow for more longevity, but this is usually inferior to the previously mentioned items.
