[SET COMMENTS]

Obstagoon is a powerful wallbreaker, as its Guts-boosted STAB Facade hits extremely hard, allowing it to 2HKO physically bulky neutral targets such as Toxapex and Hippowdon. STAB Knock Off deters Ghost-types from switching in to block Facade; it also has enough power to guarantee an OHKO on maximum HP Aegislash after Stealth Rock. Close Combat rounds out Obstagoon's coverage by handling Rock- and Steel-type Pokemon, OHKOing Tyranitar and Bisharp and dealing huge damage to Ferrothorn. As Obstagoon relies on the damage boost from Guts to wallbreak, Obstruct is useful to allow it to safely activate its Flame Orb; it's also helpful in scouting moves from revenge killers using Choice items, such as Galarian Darmanitan. One other interesting option is Switcheroo, which can cripple defensive checks such as Corviknight as they switch in by burning them and removing Leftovers recovery. Though this is helpful, Obstagoon can't afford to drop coverage and it can struggle to find free turns to activate its Flame Orb without Obstruct. An Adamant nature is preferred to improve damage rolls on targets including Toxapex, Aegislash, and Hatterene while still outspeeding Gyarados and below. While the loss of power is notable, a Jolly nature can be used instead, allowing Obstagoon to outspeed targets such as Excadrill and Kommo-o.

Obstagoon's bulk is respectable for such a strong wallbreaker, and its Dark / Normal typing also grants it a useful and uncommon Ghost immunity, which deters common Pokemon like Dragapult and Aegislash from spamming their most reliable STAB attacks. Despite this, it still appreciates support from Pokemon with U-turn or Volt Switch, such as Corviknight and Rotom-H, as they can grant it safe opportunities to switch in and wreak havoc. Electric-types such as Rotom-W and Rotom-C make particularly good partners, as they threaten Corviknight—one of Obstagoon's most reliable answers—and are able to Volt Switch to keep momentum in your favor. Fast cleaners such as Dragapult and Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan also appreciate Obstagoon's ability to break down defensive cores to help them sweep.

Think this is ready? Some things I wasn't too sure about and would like feedback on:

-I'm comfortable saying Adamant > Jolly as the speed tier beneath you is so vacant and the power boost is so noticeable, but should I mention Jolly? It outspeeds Drill and that's basically it but outspeeding Drill's not bad..
-Do I need to go into more detail about the rolls that Adamant improves or is it ok to say 'yeah makes rolls better'
-didn't think it was worth mentioning Obstruct's secondary effect because there are basically 0 situations where it's relevant and it would take too many words to explain that.
-I don't think any other moves are even worth mentioning, tried Bulk Up and the few times it was relevant were far outweighed by how horrible it feels to have a Goon on your team but no safe way to get its Flame Orb up. Parting Shot is a cool move but bad on a breaker that has very few switchins anyway + Mirror Armor Corv, one of your switchins, makes it flub. Other abilities are obviously horrible

thanks

Just a few things:
  • You mention that Knock Off can OHKO an Aegi from full, but it's still a roll unless rocks are up. Make sure you specify.
  • Jolly is at least worth a slash. Adamant is def preferred because Facade consistently does well over 50% to Pex and as you said killing Aegi from full after rocks is pretty great. There's definitely a few other small things but not really worth mentioning, such as better Clef rolls. Regardless, not being forced out by Driller is super nice, and you also get the jump on like Timid Rotom and Kommo. Again, not THAT important, but still nice.
  • Personally haven't tried it but a few members on QC have talked about Switcheroo being a useful filler move over Obstruct. You can burn Corvi which is one of the few mons that can actually somewhat take on Goon. Also lets you steal Lefties from Hippo or Boots from Mandi which are obviously way more useful than Flame Orb once it's activated. Just mention it though, no need to slash. Obstruct is still better in a meta ran by Darm.
Other than that, great work. Your team section is great.

Obstagoon's bulk is respectable for such a strong wallbreaker, and its typing also grants it a useful and uncommon Ghost immunity and Dark resistance, which deters common Pokemon like Dragapult and Aegislash from spamming their most reliable STAB attacks. A resistance to Dark isn't particularly hard to come by in this meta and neither Dragapult or Aegislash use Dark-type moves, so it's not really relevant here. Despite this, it still appreciates support from Pokémon with Volt Switch and U-Turn, such as Corviknight and Cinderace, as they can grant it safe opportunities to switch in and wreak havoc. Neither of those Pokemon learn Volt Switch, make sure to mention one that does. Electric-types such as Rotom-W and Rotom-H make particularly good partners as they threaten Corviknight- one of Obstagoon's most reliable answers- and are able to Volt Switch to keep momentum in your favor. Fast cleaners such as Dragapult and Hawlucha Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan also appreciate Obstagoon's ability to break down defensive cores to help them sweep. Hawlucha took a big hit with the ban on Dynamax and it's really hard to fit onto teams with Obstagoon. I think Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan makes for a better example because it's incredibly splashable right now.
