I believe we forgot one very important aspect about Jynx's Kissing shenanigans: Vital Spirit Scarf Primeape. Lovely Kiss becomes a somewhat risky move for Jynx, Scarf or not, as Primeape can switch in and snag momentum with U-turn, putting further pressure on Jynx if SR is on the field.

Also, one would almost never face a -2 Def Costa, unless they left some major gaps in their team structure to allow 2 Smashes for Costa.

This is a very risky move, however. If you mispredict Jynx using Lovely Kiss as you bring in Primeape, you probably just lost your Primeape.

Also, if you bring in Primeape as Jynx uses Substitute, you're in a pretty crappy situation.

X is brought in.
Jynx uses Substitute.

Primeape uses Close Combat.
Jynx uses Substitute.
Primeape uses Close Combat.

Primeape is dead.

You gotta be at full health, ensure Jynx is not running Psychic, and hit it with Stone Edge two times if you want to guarantee you revenge SubJynx. For the other Jynx sets, you gotta be pretty damn sure it's going to use Lovely Kiss if you want to revenge it with Primeape, otherwise one of the best Jynx checks will be destroyed.

That's true, but it is likely just as risky (probably not more) for any Jynx to go for the Kiss, which will prove troublesome if Jynx that cannot OHKO its target. Man, I wish Cincinno were still here.
