Name: Sylveon
Nerfed Stats: 75/105/85/70/90/70 (-20 HP, +40 Atk, +20 Def, -40 SpA, -40 SpD, +10 Spe) [495 BST]
Removed Moves: -Celebrate
Ability: Cute Charm/Natural Cure/Long Reach [HA]
Typing:

New Moves (If Any):
Final Gambit, Play Rough, Psycho Cut, Earth Power
Justification: Sylveon certainly is adorable as a special attacker, but it needs to put those ribbons to good use! As such, it now is a physically biased mixed attacker with okay bulk and Scarf-worthy speed (for NU standards at least). In order to account for this shift in roles, I decided to equip it with new abilities that help out. Natural Cure helps defensively, while Long Reach is useful for Rocky Helmets and any potential Ferroseeds or other Pokemon that we eventually nerf that have things like Iron Barbs. Final Gambit is an interesting niche tool for Defensive sets. Play Rough and Psycho Cut help give Sylveon physical options with Iron Tail, while Earth Power forces the user to make a choice between it and the more powerful but less reliable Dig.
Competitive Insight: Sylveon either shines defensively or can run a pretty mean Scarf set of Play Rough/Iron Tail/Psycho Cut/Earth Power.

If it's broken or underpowered, lemme know.

Nerfed Stats: 100 / 100 / 80 (-45) / 80 (-30) / 50 / 50 (BST: 460 (-75))
Removed Moves: Earthquake
Abilities: Chlorophyll / Leaf Guard / Regenerator
Typing: Grass
Justification: I tried to keep Tangrowth's niche as a Regen Wall. It kept generally good stats, even though they are way too low for OU. I also removed Earthquake, which helped Tangrowth to pass through opponent it shouldn't be able to. It's still a good pokemon, but not a pokemon usable in PU
Competitive Insight: It has pretty much the same role in NU, except with -75 BST and no more Earthquake.

Nerfed Stats: 61 / 127 / 127 / 53 / 101 / 13 (All still primes)
Removed Moves: Gyro Ball, Trick Room
Added Moves: Explosion
Abilities: Sturdy
Justification: Main reasons to use Stak are powerful Gyro Ball and good enough bulk to set up TR itself and sweep, as well and living some hits despite the poor type defensively. With those gone, Stakataka loses a lot of power
Competitive Insight: Can still be a mon to take a few hits and deliver a punch before going down. Iron Head and Stone Edge are it's main STABs, Sturdy allows it to live a hit against sweepers and possibly KO them back

Tell me if it's too under/overpowered fir NU (I don't usually play the tier so I don't know much)
Yh its really underpowered. I think it should get back Gyro Ball tbh. Then it has a terrifying niche. Beast Boost is gone so it can't spiral, and its Ball is weaker to the point that fat waters can pribs beat it.

Ok, thanks to everybody who turned out to support this mod, and now voting is open! Vote for up to your four favourite submissions, and order does matter! just don't vote for yourself in the first slot.

Options for voting are
Doing some more stuff:

Name: Celesteela
Nerfed Stats: Unchanged
Removed Moves: -All Fire-type moves, -All Grass-type moves (except Mega Drain), -Fly, -Earthquake, -Magnet Rise (why did it even get this in the first place)
New Typing (If Any): Unchanged
Justification: My goal for these was to prove just how much movepool defines a Pokemon's role and, subsequently, niche. By removing the most common moves that Celesteela uses in OU, we are left with a one-dimensional Pokemon that is walled by steels and fires. Of course, you have your pick of running either physical or special offense, but both have significant flaws.
Competitive Insight: Probably rest talk or Automize. Treat it as a Registeel that trades a couple of utility moves for a different typing and more speed/bulk.

Name: Manaphy
Nerfed Stats: Unchanged
Removed Moves: -Tail Glow, -Calm Mind
Justification: Let's be real, nobody would ever use Manaphy if not for its boosting moves combined with Hydration. The fact that its a bulky water with those stats is the one thing keeping it viable. Oh, also Heart Swap for dumb countersweeps, but that's a bad gimmick
Competitive Insight: Stallbreaker? One thing it has over Suicune is access to Knock Off. Maybe use a gimmicky Rest/Knock Off/U-turn/Scald set on a rain team?

Name: Landorus-Therian
Nerfed Stats: 70 / 110 / 80 / 90 / 80 / 71 (-19 HP, -35 Atk, -10 Def, -15 SpA, -20 Spe)
Removed Moves: -U-turn, -Superpower, -Stone Edge, -Focus Blast
Ability: Anger Point [HA: Frisk]
Justification: Landorus-Therian has been an OU powerhouse for a long time being in the A+ to S Rank tier due to it's great typing, access to Intimidate, U-turn, Stealth Rock, Defog now along with a good Attack stat and options to go from a bulky set to a Scarf Attacker too as well as a Rocky Helmet user, a great switchin in the game to pacify the foe and force switchouts.
With Intimidate and U-turn removed it can no longer highly influence battles and forceout switchouts from powerful hitters. With 75 base Speed, Medicham, Absol, Zangoose can outspeed it + the reduced defenses and HP let's them handle it. Superpower (and Focus Blast as the Special move) is removed as it could've been a very powerful coverage move on a potential Scarf set. Stone Edge being a 100 Base Power move has been removed for the same reason, in addition it could've been used on a non Scarf set as well.
Competitive Insight: Landorus-T can act as a item scouter with Frisk and hazards controller with Stealth Rock and Defog at the same time. A surprise Attacking Scarf set can also be used to target a different group of Pokemon (Mainly fast frail sweepers). HP Fire being

Nerfed Stats: 80 / 103 / 65 / 105 / 65 / 95 (-20 HP, -10 Def, -15 SpA, -10 SpD, -32 Spe)
Removed Moves: Earth Power
Ability: Leaf Guard
Justification: Air Slash + Serene Grace was one big reason for it being in Ubers. That has been removed here and the bulk, Special offense, and the Speed been reduced, it's Physical movepool is already shallow. Outsped and handled by Pokemon like Ambipom, Delphox, Charizard, Mismagius. Threatened by others like Incineroar and Klingklang. With Earth Power's removal, HP Fire is it's best move against Steel-type Pokemon.
Competitive Insight: It's a straightforward Special Attacker now with the only diversity of using either Choice Scarf or power boosting items like Z Moves or Choice Specs or Life Orb just like most of the non-slow attackers. Although it could be of great use as it can take on S Rank Pokemon namely Mega Slowbro and Mega Venusuar. Leaf Guard can be only situationally helpful when used in conjunction to sun users like Charizard.

Name: Lugia
Nerfed Stats: 80 / 90 / 100 / 90 / 110 / 80 (-36 HP, -30 Def, -44 SpD, -30 Spe)
Removed Moves: Roost, Thunder Wave, Psycho Boost
Ability: Pressure [HA: Synchronise]
Justification: Multiscale gives Lugia a good start, it was replaced with Synchronise which is still a usable ability. Roost has been removed so it can't lose it's Flying-type weaknesses against slower foes. Reduced Speed let's it get outsped by most attackers so it would require a lot of EVs (252 for Medicham) to at least speed tie with them unlike with it's previous Speed stat. Psycho Boost was removed to prevent it from turning into a powerful attacker with Calm Mind in it's movepool. Thunder Wave was removed so now the opponent's mostly know which status would Lugia use (Toxic that is).
Competitive Insight: With Aeroblast, Toxic, Whirlwind, Calm Mind, Recover and decent stats it can still be used as a fine stall Pokemon in the tier giving Slowbro some competition with Lugia having a Ground immunity, better Special Defense while Slowbro with higher physical defense, Regenerator, and Scald. It can also act as a Tailwind + Defog support Pokemon. Another possibility due to it's colourful coverage is a attacking Pokemon but base 90 offensive stats aren't that impressive without Choice or Calm Mind boost.

252+ Atk Life Orb Absol Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Lugia: 307-361 (84.3 - 99.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Nerfed Marshadow

Stats:
80/95/60/80/70/95 (-10 HP, -30 Atk, -20 Def, -10 SpA, -20 SpD, -30 Spe), 480 BST (-120)
Type: Fighting/Ghost (unchanged)
Ability: Iron Fist
Removed Moves: Bulk Up, Close Combat, Poison Jab, Iron Head
Justification: Nerfed Marshadow no longer has a way to set up (calm mind marsh, anyone?) and loses its strongest reliable Fighting stab. It is also unable to hit Fairies SE with strong coverage moves. Losing Technician also hurts Shadow Sneak, Rock Tomb, and HP Ice. However, it gets Iron Fist to make up for it, powering up its Drain Punch and elemental punches, and it still has Spectral Thief. 95 Atk and 95 Spe aren't bad in NU either.
Sample Set:
Marshadow @ Marshadium Z
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spectral Thief
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Shadow Sneak

Nerfed Pheromosa

Stats:
71/127/37/127/37/81 (-10 Atk, -10 SpA, -70 Spe), 480 BST (-90)
Type: Bug/Fighting (unchanged)
Ability: Swarm [HA: Justified]
Removed Moves: Ice Beam, Throat Chop
Justification: By severely nerfing Pheromosa's speed, it is no longer as threatening, as most offensive mons outspeed and OHKO it. Removing Ice Beam allows Flying-types to wall it; removing Throat Chop gives Ghosts a much easier job walling it as well. Swarm and Justified are mostly (but not completely) useless abilities.
High Jump Kick remains, though, so it could serve a similar role as Medicham (while having marginally higher speed). Also note that this thing gets Agility, Quiver Dance, and Rapid Spin, although I doubt they'll be useful.
Sample Set:
Pheromosa @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified / Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- High Jump Kick
- Poison Jab
- Drill Run / Lunge

Nerfed Kartana

Stats: 59/137/113/59/29/83 (-44 Atk, -18 Def, -2 SpD, -26 Spe), 480 BST (-90)
Type: Grass/Steel (unchanged)
Ability: Overgrow [HA: Light Metal]
Removed Moves: Smart Strike, Knock Off
Justification: Its Attack and Speed have been nerfed to levels that are still decent in NU, but not broken. Because of its low SpD, it is unable to set up on some walls that can take it out with even a weak special move.
Without Smart Strike, it loses its secondary stab; without Knock Off, it can still use Night Slash but that lacks utility. Overgrow powers up Leaf Blade when Kartana is low on health; Light Metal is mostly useless. In general, Kartana functions like it did would OU: Choice Scarf (which can no longer snowball out of control) or SD + Z-move (sticky web support is appreciated).
Sample Set:
Kartana @ Grassium Z / Fightinium Z
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword
- Return / Psycho Cut / Night Slash / Defog

Nerfed Nihilego

Stats: 79/53/47/97/101/103 (-30 HP, -30 SpA, -30 SpD), 480 BST (-90)
Type: Rock/Poison (unchanged)
Ability: Solid Rock [HA: Poison Point]
Removed Moves: Toxic Spikes
Justification: Its bulk and SpA are now reduced significantly; while its Speed is good, it can get outsped and OHKOed by Delphox's Psyshock. Without Toxic Spikes, it loses much of its utility (otherwise it might be able serve as a lead, or even as a special wall on sand teams). Solid Rock is niche, but does allow it to survive some hits it otherwise wouldn't (0 SpA Slowbro Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Solid Rock Nerfed Nihilego: 234-276 (78.2 - 92.3%)). Rock/Poison aren't good stabs when Steelix is everywhere. Non-nerfed Nihilego is probably dropping to RU soon because of its bad matchup vs common UU threats like Scizor, Gliscor, and Latias.
Sample Set:
Nihilego @ Choice Specs
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Grass Knot
- Power Gem
- Thunderbolt

Name: Darkrai
Nerfed Stats: 70/70/70/115/90/100
(-20 Atk, -20 Def, -20 SpA, -25 Spe)

Removed Moves: - King's Shield, - Swords Dance, - Protect
Ability: Stance Change
Justification: Once it leaves shield form Aegislash has to stay in blade form. Being unable to boost attack then switch makes it easier to manage and allows for more creativity with Reflect, Autotomize, Destiny Bond, and Iron Defense.

Name: Darmanitan
Nerfed Stats: 85/130/55/30/55/85

(-20 HP, -5 Def, -10 SpA, -5 SpD)
Removed Moves: - Flare Blitz, - Focus Blast, - Rest, - U-turn
Ability: Sheer Force, Zen Mode
Justification: Being forced to used Zen mode and having less control over it makes Darmanitan harder to use reliably.
Reserving Zekrom, Landorus (Base), Marshadow (my own version) and Scizor

Name: Landorus
Nerfed Stats: 79 HP / 105 Atk / 70 Def / 95 SpA / 60 SpD / 81 Spe [BST:500] (-10 HP, -10 Atk, -20 Def, -20 SpA, -20 SpD, -20 Spe)
Removed Moves: Swords Dance, Rock Polish, Knock Off, Sludge Bomb / Wave, Grass Knot
New Ability: Cloud Nine
New Typing (If Any): Ground
New Moves (If Any): Nasty Plot
Justification: Stat wise i generally just debuffed Landorus to a BST more suitable for NU. Its now much more frail, and 81 base speed is now below the general "fast mon" facet. I axed both Swords Dance and Rock Polish so its sweeping / wallbreaking abilities are not too expansive. Knock Off makes Landorus unable to cripple switchins reliant on their items. Sludge Bomb / Wave and Grass Knot both got axed to preserve the viability of Grass and Water type checks and counters. Sheer Force was super busted, so I replaced it with a much tamer Cloud Nine. I said "screw Grass neutrality + Ground immunity" and made it pure Ground. It helps that Grass and Water type moves are the preferred attacks to take down Gound mons in lower tiers. I did give it Nasty Plot to give i a niche not held in NU tho.
Competitive Insight: Landorus can either go a special wallbreaker route or sport a Scarf and try going Physical.

Name: Zekrom
Nerfed Stats: 80 HP / 120 Atk / 95 Def / 75 SpA / 70 SpD / 80 Spe [BST:520] (-20 HP, -30 Atk, -25 Def, -45 SpA, -30 SpD, -10 Spe)
Removed Moves: -Bolt Strike, -Fusion Bolt, -Focus Blast
New Ability: Static
New Typing (If Any): N/A
New Moves (If Any): N/A
Justification: Same general stat nerfing, with emphasis on special attack. Bolt Strike and Fusion Bolt are both removed so it doesn't have any stupidly strong Electric STAB, while Focus Blast is axed so it doesn't auto beat Steelix. Static is a neat ability to pair with its ok defense stat.
Competitive Insight: Zekrom is a physical breaker that is unfortunately countered by the tier's best physical tank - Steelix.

Name: Scizor
Nerfed Stats: N/A
Removed Moves: -Bullet Punch, -Superpower
New Ability: Swarm [HA: Light Metal]
New Typing (If Any): Bug
New Moves (If Any): N/A
Justification: WIP
Competitive Insight: WIP
Name: Stakataka
Nerfed Stats: 61 / 127 / 127 / 53 / 101 / 13 (All still primes)
Abilities: Sturdy
Justification: Main reasons to use Stak are powerful Gyro Ball and good enough bulk to set up TR itself and sweep, as well and living some hits despite the poor type defensively. It keeps the nieche, but hits less hard and tanks less hits
Competitive Insight: Can still have the same nieche, just toned down to a less powerful level

(Thanks to Jucherz and Luke for warning me to fix it)

Name: Tangrowth
My votes: snorlax's Marshadow, my Landorus, charizard's Shaymin-Sky and Rev's Sylveon

P.S: You can only vote for one of your own subs, but anyone else's own is fair game

Name: Lugia
Nerfed Stats: 96/50/90/50/104/90 [480 BST]
Removed Moves: Thunder Wave, Calm Mind
Abilities: Hydration / Multiscale [HA]
Typing: Water/Flying
New Moves (If Any): Morning Sun, Moonlight, Night Shade
Justification: Lugia’s main strengths are it being able to abuse Multiscale for setting combined with a decent typing. Water is due to it having a lot of ties to the seas as well as being described in the dex as living in the sea. Morning Sun and Moonlight I think it should have gotten from the start. As it has some ties to Psychic (even if not one), Night Shade fit rather well.
Niche: Lugia in NU is a Pokémon with meh bulk but decent speed for the tier in pure stats. If Hydration, it can run a Rain Dance set with Moonlight to avoid status. Multiscale increases bulk overall while at full HP.

Feedback would be nice.

Name: Ho-Oh
Nerfed Stats:
HP:
86 (-20)
Atk: 100 (-30)
Def: 70 (-20)
SpA: 50 (-60)
SpD: 134 (-20)
Spe: 70 (-20)
BST: 510 (-170)
Removed Moves: Brave Bird, Recover, Earthquake
Abilities: Pressure
Typing: Fire/Flying
Justification: A still powerful fire-type attacker with very nice special bulk. However, it has very poor physical bulk, no more regenerator, no good Flying STAB, and no way around Rock-types. All of this is compounded by a mediocre speed stat of 70. Recover is removed so that Roost is the only recovery option, allowing for Earthquake read. Sacred Fire is preserved so that the spirit of Ho-Oh can be preserved, plus its the only Fire STAB it has that's any good.

Name: Lugia
Nerfed Stats:
HP:
86 (-20)
Atk: 70 (-20)
Def: 100 (-30)
SpA: 70 (-20)
SpD: 134 (-20)
Spe: 50 (-60)
BST: 510 (-170)
Removed Moves: Recover
Abilities: Pressure
Typing: Psychic/Flying
Justification: Fun Fact: Psychic/Flying is a MUCH worse defensive type in NU compared to Ubers. Of the 6 pokemon in the S and A+ ranks, 4 of them have supereffective STAB and the other 2 can defensively handle Lugia's atrocious 70/70 offenses. However, 86/100/134 bulk is still very nice for walling, if somewhat weakened by the loss of multiscale. Much lower speed prevents Lugia from messing with defensive pokemon too much with fast Substitutes.

Name: Groudon
Nerfed Stats:
HP:
100 (-0)
Atk: 120 (-30)
Def: 110 (-30)
SpA: 70 (-30)
SpD: 50 (-40)
Spe: 50 (-40)
BST: 500 (-170)
Removed Moves: Swords Dance, Thunder Punch
Abilities: Solar Power
Typing: Ground
Justification: Obviously, Drought needs to go. It's not even legal in NU! Groudon is now a physically bulky Ground-type attacker with poor speed and special bulk. However, 120 Attack and access to STAB Precipice Blades makes it a powerful Bulk Up or Rock Polish user, and can also set Stealth Rock. Thunder Punch is removed so that it is better countered by Slowbro, however mixed Thunderbolt can still be used as a lure.

Name: Kyogre
Nerfed Stats:
HP:
100 (-0)
Atk: 70 (-30)
Def: 50 (-40)
SpA: 120 (-30)
SpD: 110 (-30)
Spe: 50 (-40)
BST: 500 (-170)
Removed Moves: Ice Beam, Blizzard, Water Spout
Abilities: Rain Dish
Typing: Water
Justification: Obviously, Drizzle needs to also needs to go, it also is not legal in this tier. Kyogre is now a powerful, specially bulky Calm Mind user with a powerful STAB option in Origin Pulse. However, it is walled by Grass-types due to the removal of Ice-type coverage, and Water Spout is gone because nobody enjoys Choice Scarf Water Spout.

I gave it more HP and Speed and gave it Dragon Tail and Feather Dance back. How is it now?
Definitely still needs some form of recovery- it’s not like roost or recover will be broken with multi scale here as it would need to invest in speed which undermines its already worse-than-phione bulk
