[OVERVIEW]
With a solid defensive typing in Psychic, all-around good stats, and an incredibly diverse movepool, Mew carves itself a strong standing within the 1v1 metagame. With viable moves in both offensive and defensive departments like Fake Out, Taunt, Nasty Plot, Soft-Boiled, Will-O-Wisp, Ice Beam, Overheat, and Transform, Mew is capable of being played in a variety of different playstyles, adding to its unpredictability and setting it apart from other Psychic-types such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Mega Slowbro. However, Mew's typing leaves it vulnerable to common threats such as most Dark-types - Mega Gyarados, Greninja, Incineroar, Hoopa-U, and Mega Sableye in particular - as well as other Pokemon like Aegislash, Volcarona, and Z-Conversion Porygon-Z.

Moves
========
Soft-Boiled allows Mew to recover off any damage, allowing it to outstall foes like Donphan, Magearna, and non-Taunt Heatran. Taunt prevents slower Pokemon like Primarina, Tapu Lele, Crustle, Mega Venusaur, Mega Altaria, and Zygarde from setting up or using other status moves like opposing Taunt, Sleep Powder, and Rest, to hinder Mew's strategies. Will-O-Wisp and Barrier both help Mew take on physical attackers like Mega Mawile and Crustle. Will-O-Wisp cuts the foe's Attack in half, as well as dealing chip damage and reducing critical hit damage, while Barrier allows Mew to boost its Defense up to +6 and also works against opposing Fire-type Pokemon. Barrier is commonly run with Seismic Toss, as Mew no longer has a way to damage opposing Pokemon without Will-O-Wisp. Amnesia boosts Mew's Special Defense, and combined with Soft-Boiled, it gives Mew the potential to outstall Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, special Dragonite, and Naganadel. Seismic Toss can be used over any move besides Soft-Boiled if more consistent damage is needed and Mew isn't required to boost both defenses. The move helps when stalling is not a reliable way to win, such as against Heatran, which is immune to Will-O-Wisp, and Jumpluff, which can hide behind a Substitute to avoid Will-O-Wisp.
Set Details
========
212 HP and 44 Special Defense EVs give Mew the best chance of surviving both physical and special attacks, specifically Bug Buzz from Choice Specs Genesect and two Sludge Waves from Choice Specs Naganadel after using Amnesia. Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature is used to allow Mew to outspeed slower foes to give it the chance to react to anything the opponent can do, such as to use Taunt against opposing Taunt users, Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical attackers, or Amnesia to boost its Special Defense. It also allows it to Speed tie with opposing base 100 Speed Pokemon, such as Mega Gardevoir and Mega Charizard X and Y, which is essential in order to potentially Taunt them before they set up or to boost Mew's defenses before they attack. Kee Berry allows Mew to immediately get a +1 Defense boost when hit by a physical attack. This gives it a better chance against physical attackers like Haxorus and Mega Metagross, as Mew can safely use Soft-Boiled to heal off the damage from the first hit, gain the +1 Defense boost, and rest easy for subsequent attacks. An alternate spread of 128 HP / 128 Def / 252 Spe with a Timid nature, Seismic Toss, and Barrier can also be run to better take on physical attackers, specifically letting you beat Mega Charizard X without having to worry about Jolly Dragon Dance variants.
Usage Tips
========
Generally, Stall Mew is quite straightforward to use, as you simply want to nullify the opponent's actions. For physical attackers such as Donphan and non-Substitute Mega Metagross, use Will-O-Wisp to cut their Attack in half, or use Barrier if you are running it. However, against faster physical foes, it may be better to use Soft-Boiled first, as they will trigger Mew's Kee Berry, which will allow it to recover its HP to where it can safely use Will-O-Wisp. This is useful in cases such as against Choice Scarf Haxorus and Choice Scarf Archeops. Against special attackers such as bulky Mega Charizard Y, Primarina, and special Dragonite, use Amnesia to boost Mew's Special Defense, and against foes that can set up or use other status moves, use Taunt. This is relevant for Pokemon like non-Crunch Mega Gyarados, Dragon Dance Dragonite, Crustle, Tapu Lele, Zygarde, and certain Stall Pokemon like Jumpluff and Pyukumuku, to block their recovery moves and other status options. Against certain foes, you may want to shut down their offenses before using Taunt; for example, against non-Taunt Mega Gardevoir, use Amnesia before locking it down. Seismic Toss is used to prevent Mew from being useless if it gets Taunted. This makes it easier against foes such as fast Taunt Mega Gardevoir, Flame Charge Type: Null, and Tapu Fini. It also reduces the chances that Mew can get hit by a critical hit, which is likely to happen if it is forced to PP stall its foe. Kee Berry Mew's only chance against Jolly Mega Charizard X is to have both Barrier and Seismic Toss, along with a physically defensive EV spread. This combination also helps for matchups like non-Crunch Mega Gyarados and physical Dragonite.
Team Options
========
Kee Berry Mew has many viable potential partners. In particular, Pokemon like Tapu Fini and Primarina are good checks for Mega Charizard X if you are not running both Barrier and Seismic Toss, and they also deal with Pokemon like Crunch Mega Gyarados, Greninja, Volcarona, and Pheromosa. Encore Primarina can tackle Mega Slowbro, while Icy Wind Tapu Fini takes care of stall Deoxys-S as well. In return, Mew is able to handle Pokemon like Magearna, non-Substitute Mega Metagross, and Tapu Lele. Zeraora and Magnezone provide support by tackling frailer Pokemon such as Greninja, Volcarona, and Hoopa-U. They also take out important Water-types like non-Earthquake Mega Gyarados and Mega Slowbro, and powerful Normal-types like Meloetta and Normalium Z Porygon-Z. Magnezone is another threat to Mew that Zeraora takes care of. Mew checks bulkier Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Mega Altaria, and non Substitute Mega Metagross, in return. More importantly, it defeats most Ground-type Pokemon that check Magnezone, like Zygarde, Donphan, and Landorus-T, all of which are immune to Magnezone's Electric-type attacks.

Moves
========
Psychic becomes Mew's signature move, Genesis Supernova, when used with Mewnium Z. It is Mew's primary attacking move, allowing it to beat Kommo-o and Mega Venusaur right off the bat and OHKO Zygarde at +2. It also sets up Psychic Terrain, boosting Mew's subsequent Psychic-type moves, as well as blocking priority moves from opposing Pokemon. This allows Mew to beat Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Prankster Pokemon like Whimsicott. Fake Out lets Mew freely break Sturdy on Pokemon like fast Magnezone, Sawk, Carracosta, non-Protect Crustle, and Donphan, which allows Mew to finish them off the following turn without fear of retaliation. Overheat hits the Steel-types that resist Genesis Supernova, such as Celesteela and uninvested Magnezone. Nasty Plot increases Mew's Special Attack so it can beat passive foes like Type: Null and Porygon2. Calm Mind is another option over Nasty Plot that can help Mew take on specially offensive threats like Primarina, Heatran, and Magearna better.
Set Details
========
The 120 HP EVs allow Mew to survive a Draco Meteor from Choice Specs Naganadel. The 52 Defense EVs on top of that allow Mew to take an Outrage from Choice Band Haxorus as well as almost always survive a Giga Impact from Mega Pinsir. 152 Speed EVs allow Mew to outspeed Smeargle and bulky Mega Charizard X. The remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to hit as hard as possible, which is crucial for taking on Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X and Magnezone. Mewnium Z turns Psychic into Genesis Supernova.
Usage Tips
========
In most cases, such as against Mega Charizard X and Sturdy Pokemon, Mew simply has to use Fake Out for some chip damage before unleashing a Genesis Supernova to finish off the foe. Against bulky Mega Charizard X, you may need to use Psychic again. Be wary that some Sturdy Pokemon such as Donphan and Crustle run Protect, so it may be better to use Mew's Z-Move first. Against Steel-types like Ferrothorn and fast Magnezone, use Overheat after Fake Out. For bulkier Pokemon like Zygarde, non-Substitute Primarina, slow Tapu Fini, Mega Aggron, and Celesteela, use Fake Out and then Nasty Plot or Calm Mind before attacking with Genesis Supernova or Overheat. Against Substitute Primarina and Magearna, you will need to use Calm Mind. For Magearna, simply keep using Calm Mind before finishing it off with two Overheats. Mega Mawile is a special case, as it uses a priority move in Sucker Punch. Thus, Mew should use Fake Out followed by Genesis Supernova to set up Psychic Terrain and prevent Sucker Punch, before using Overheat.
Team Options
========
Pokemon that can cover Mew's Dark-type weakness are great partners. Primarina can take on the likes of Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Incineroar, as well as Fire-types like Mega Charizard Y and Volcarona, while Mew handles Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and slow Tapu Fini. Specially defensive Mega Mawile is good at beating most Dark-types, as well as Porygon-Z, Meloetta, and Mega Gardevoir. Mew can take care of Mega Charizard X, Primarina, Zygarde, Sturdy Pokemon, Mega Aggron, and Celesteela, all of which trouble Mega Mawile. Magnezone is also a good partner for Mew, as it can cover Pokemon like Greninja, Porygon-Z, Meloetta, and Mega Gardevoir, while Mew can handle most Fighting-type Pokemon like Sawk, Kommo-o, and Mega Medicham, as well as Pokemon like Mega Venusaur.

Other Options
=============
Mew can run a wide variety of sets, however, they usually come at a huge opportunity cost compared to the ones above. In contrast, they can catch opponents off guard, as they cover a completely different set of Pokemon. On the offensive Mew set, other moves can be run, such as Ice Beam for Garchomp, Focus Blast or Aura Sphere for Mega Gyarados and Heatran, and Taunt for stall Pokemon like Jumpluff and Whimsicott. Running maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature can also allow Mew to outspeed Pokemon like Porygon-Z and Tapu Lele. Normalium Z Transform Mew with maximum HP and Speed investment can run a set with Will-O-Wisp, Taunt, and Thunder Wave to catch opponents off guard. It allows Mew to cripple foes before using Z-Transform to transform into them with full HP. This lets Mew circumvent some of its common checks, particularly Dark-types like Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Super Effective STAB Attackers**: Dark-type Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Hoopa-U, Incineroar, and Greninja generally have an easy time against most Mew sets, as they are immune to its Psychic-type attacks. Bug-type Pokemon such as Volcarona and Pheromosa are good Mew checks. Aegislash and Normalium Z Conversion Porygon-Z are also potent threats to Mew.
**Opposing Psychic-type Pokemon**: Psychic-type Pokemon naturally resists Mew's STAB moves, making it hard for Mew to leave a dent in them. Meloetta can set up with Z-Celebrate and break through defensive Mew with Laser Focus while easily taking any hit from the offensive set. Victini is immune to Will-O-Wisp, and can use Trick to remove Kee Berry from defensive Mew, and resists its main offensive moves in Psychic and Overheat.
**Taunt-Immune Stall Pokemon**: Although Seismic Toss Mew has ways of breaking through some stall Pokemon such as Jumpluff and Type: Null, Mew has trouble dealing with others like Mega Slowbro, Mega Sableye, and Deoxys-S, as they either are immune to Taunt via their ability or can outspeed and Taunt Mew first, as well as shrug off most of its offensive attacks.
**Serperior**: Serperior poses a significant threat to Mew, as it is faster than the stall set and can outstall Mew with Leech Seed while also being able to take down offensive Mew by tanking any hit and retaliating with Leaf Storm.
