Talking to me like they were they realist out
Due to myself being insanely garbage at this game, I was not able to hit top 10 on the ladder, so top 50 will have to do for this post (1950 would've been top 15-20 1 month or more ago :/ ). I built this team around the core of Mega Scizor and Groundium Z Greninja. Mega Scizor has a great matchup against a lot of offensive teams I see on the ladder due to its nice bulk & great attack stat. Greninja removes things like Toxapex and Heatran to give Scizor a path to clean/sweep. The team all together took about 20 minutes to put together and I have been tweaking it as time went on. Enough said let's get into it.

you were baited. I only peaked 1949 :P low gxe cuz im bad

The Sets

Greninja (M) @ Groundium Z
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Dig
- Gunk Shot
- Ice Beam
- Spikes

This is pure gold and the best protean greninja set in my opinion. It is the ultimate lure. This things main role is to set up spikes and lure things like Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Tapu Bulu, and much more in to kill them. The removal of Toxapex is the biggest thing as it allows Mega Scizor to sweep a lot easier. Bluffing Ash-Gren is super satisfying as you hit Gunk Shot/Z Dig/Ice Beam on the switch. Mega Scizor also really appreciates the spikes support to chip things down into the range of its attacks.

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 184 HP / 176 Atk / 148 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Roost

While the EV spread on this looks weird, it has a purpose. The Attack EV's allow you to 2hko Clefable, ohko Ferrothorn at +1, ohko Heatran at +1, and give you a really nice chance to ohko magnezone & kartana unboosted. I used to run 136 speed on this, but after discussing things in the OU room, I made the Scizor outspeed the Rotom-Wash in the analysis and the spdef Heatran in the analysis (has come in clutch a couple of times). The rest is dumped into hp to make Scizor bulkier.

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Def / 12 SpA / 40 SpD / 192 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Scald
- Taunt
- Defog

Since I was running Scizor, I was gonna need a fire switch-in. I figured Tapu Fini would get the job done as it also provides Misty Terrain to protect the team from status which is super helpful. It also provides the team with a defogger and a Heatran and Ash Greninja switch in. I prefer to run Moonblast and Scald over Natures Madness to threaten Ash Gren and Heatran more but Natures Madness can work too. I was running the Whirlpool + Natures Madness set but quickly changed it after a couple of games because I couldn't get the KO on things like Greninja and Keldeo.

Tangrowth @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Sleep Powder

Tangrowth synergizes well with Tapu Fini for part of the defensive core. Rocky Helmet allows me to chip and punish those U-turners and any physical move for that matter. Helps in the rain match up a lot since Fini doesn't want to take eq's from Mega Swampert over and over. Sleep Powder may seem odd considering the fact that I have misty terrain, but it is 100% necessary as a nice safety option and taking 1 of your opponents pokemon out of the game.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 208 SpD / 48 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power / Protect
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Heatran rounds off the Fire, Water, Grass, defensive core (tbh I didn't realize it when first making the team). The speed is mainly for Mega Mawile (but helps with some other things like creeping things that are creeping Mawile). I was using Protect > Earth Power for a lot of the run but realized that I would rather just kill Tapu Koko instead of stalling it out. Heatran is also my rocker & main answer to things like Lele, Zam etc. It also absorbs fire moves which Scizor appreciates. Toxic is used to hit Zapdos to wear it down as it is annoying for the team. I don't use it too much due to Misty Terrain but it's about my best way of wearing down Zapdos.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk / 68 Def / 208 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- U-turn
- Defog

Landorus Therian. Needed some sort of speed control so I kind of slapped this thing on. The spread allows me to outspeed +1 Kommo-o (cuz I got destroyed by the belly drum set), the defense is for Hawlucha, and the rest is dumped into attack. It adds a second defogger to the team which is nice since everything is neutral to Stealth Rock and 5/6 mons take Spikes. Explosion is a lot better than Stone Edge imo as it is a one time nuke to hit something (helps weaken things like Quagsire, Zapdos, etc on stall). U-turn is a great move and allows me to pivot into whatever is needed.

This thing gets the coverage to hit everything on the team super effectively. Combine that with LO & Sheer Force and you have one of the toughest matchups. I started to tilt because I ran into the same guy twice in a row who was using a Nidoking and he beat my ass with it both times. It only went downhill from there.

More specifically if it's running sub + sd. If it gets them both off, good luck and have fun.

Psyspam cores can easily overwhelm my defensive core and cause massive damage. My best counterplay to it is toxic

STALL
Stall is a harder matchup for this team but it's not an auto lose matchup.
There are definitely more threats that I'm forgetting about but I can't think of them : /

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-936234664 - vs some standard Bulky Offense
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-936399813 - vs some standard Hyper Offense

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-936498011 - has a skarmchan (skarmory + chansey) core
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-936016091 - vs a Dusknoir team...

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-936427236 - vs a weird rain team
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-936460362 - vs stall
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-938657149 - vs stall (after I tilted. was just trying to get more replays)

I'm not qualified for this shit.

Some words
Feedback on the team is much appreciated as no team is perfect. I doubt the team can be as successful if people notice this RMT as all the cool techs like Groundium Z Greninja won't do their job as well. I can add some losses to the replays if people ask. I personally don't save losses too often unless I'm battling friends but I'll see what I can find. I feel that this team has a good matchup against most of what I saw on the ladder, which was offense. After I peaked, I dropped 4-5 games in a row and just gave up on the account. The ladder is so up and down.

Despite me being baited at that fact you did not achieve 1950. This team man lemme just say it’s great, you running enough attack evs to ensure you kill the likes of heatran,Ferro, rotom and having the ideal lure with them. No man would expect such a thing and not only that but groundium z greninja is a impressive lure that most players wouldn’t think of to ensure they kill Magearna and especially toxapex. Oh darn how much I hate Toxapex and Magearna in OU. But besides the point you have such a great core it’s basic but gets the job done. This team got me out the 1400s I would like to thank you. Continue to create more and more teams I would like to see what you offer to this beautiful (sometimes) community.
LOOOOOL I wanna see you do this to every RMT l
