[SET COMMENTS]
Raging Bolt's strong STAB combination and high bulk make it a potent Calm Mind user and wallbreaker on a large majority of teams. Lucarionite with a Modest nature gives Raging Bolt incredible power, more rounded bulk, and notably the ability to naturally outspeed slower Arceus formes. Alternatively, Diancite with a Timid nature trades a large portion of bulk and a little power for the ability to outspeed fast threats like Arceus-Ground, Eternatus, and Lugia, although it makes Raging Bolt more reliant on Substitute to stay on the field. Draco Meteor gives Raging Bolt an instant burst of power, while Dragon Pulse is a less powerful alternative that pairs better with Substitute and Calm Mind at the cost of being unable to naturally OHKO bulky Eternatus variants if it is using Diancite. Thunderclap is primarily used in tandem with Lucarionite, allowing Raging Bolt to outspeed and OHKO Pokemon like Urshifu-R, Hisuian Samurott, and Pinsirite Gouging Fire and threaten other would-be faster Pokemon like Iron Boulder and Tough Claws Solgaleo. Alternatively, Volt Switch pairs best with Diancite and turns Raging Bolt into a powerful pivot, taking advantage of its 135 Speed after Mega Evolving to outspeed a majority of the metagame, most notably the ever-present Eternatus. Substitute allows Raging Bolt to be less prediction reliant, especially with Diancite, while reducing its weakness to Pixilate Extreme Speed from the likes of Hisuian Arcanine, Entei, and Regieleki, but it takes up a valuable moveslot. Raging Bolt capitalizes on the lack of strong Electric-resistant Pokemon in the metagame, threatening OHKOs against defensive staples like Eternatus and Great Tusk and 2HKOs against Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy with entry hazard support from the likes of Hisuian Arcanine, Clodsire, and Garganacl. As a result, Pokemon that can take advantage of the weakening and removal of these staples like Urshifu-R and Iron Boulder make for great partners. Dual screens support from Regieleki and Deoxys-S can allow Raging Bolt to set up on a variety of Pokemon, including certain would-be checks like Arceus-Ground and Great Tusk unless it has already Mega Evolved using Diancite. Blissey and Altarianite Dragonite are the only Pokemon that Raging Bolt cannot ever break, as the former is simply too bulky while the latter can easily shrug off Raging Bolt's STAB moves. As a result, teammates that can remove these threats such as Galarian Zapdos, Gouging Fire, and Altarianite Hisuian Arcanine are greatly valued. Other Pixilate Extreme Speed users, namely Regieleki and Hisuian Arcanine, reliably force out Raging Bolt and can both survive even a Lucarionite-boosted Thunderbolt from it, so teammates that can switch into these like Galarian Slowking, Eternatus, and Arceus-Water pair well with it.
