Welcome to Man vs WildBird Episode 1112! I am Slashie the Ralts, your host, referee, commentator or whatever you call of this match (Ayush gave me the opportunity for he hates to ref).

Here on the left side, we have just a normal man (TMan87), who will be fighting 1v1 against a five-headed wild birb (Doduodrio), at my right side! Let's see what they have gotten to beat each other.

Just don't mind me cuz I use Discord on Light Mode (& please don't sue me for that). Stay Tuned for More!

Ryūko can only be described as a force of nature. She charges straight ahead, cutting down her foes with incredible focus. She will not even attempt to dodge blows; she simply counts on her natural armor to deflect them. Relentlessly, she will pursue the last of her targets to cut her down.
Now, here's the problem: she's also a MASSIVE ditz. You may see her attempt to appear serious and intimidating, only for her to trip up and ruin the mood. And given that she's hot-blooded, she might try to vehemently deny everything and get into catfights. That said, you will likely regret it if you underestimate her because of her antics. When she gets serious, blood will flow.

Marianne's character development was truly amazing. Starting as an Oddish, she had a shy disposition and did not exactly do well as a team member. The Gloom phase was even worse, as she constantly depreciated herself, believing she was of no use whatsoever to the group. She later admitted she considered leaving altogether a few times. She was usually spotted looking forlornly at the moon by the more night-based members.
But most of that changed with the evolution into Bellossom. A much more cheerful Marianne emerged, and even if she still wasn't a social butterfly, she wasn't running away from all conversations. She even took up dancing and used it to cheer her team on, which usually works because she's very cute doing so! Unfortunately her battle prowess isn't that great, but she makes for a great utility partner.

Selphine lost a good chunk of her occasional bloodthirsty tendencies with the swap to Galar, which is... appreciated. She made fast friends quickly with the new group, and returned to her sweet-craving self almost instantly. She can't help but nibble on some members, which has them, uh, inconvenienced, but has also been more rigorous on her training, instead of skipping out.
It's weird, but I feel there's something lacking there...

That's it, that's what was lacking. With access to her Mega Stone once more, Selphine simply transforms from a cute walking danger to a blood knight with tremendous power. It is said the spirits of several Mega Mawiles of past times reside in her Mega Stone, overriding her original personality a little and giving her a cold and blunt demeanor. She's also very easily angered in this state, and with punish the tiniest slight with terrifying force. You want to tread very carefully while she's awakened. Fortunately, it doesn't last for long.
She doesn't seem to remember much of what happened once she reverts back to normal.

Kingambit

Species:
Kingambit, Gender: Male
Level: 4, EXP: ---
Nature: Impish (+2 Def, -1 SpA)
Typing: Dark / Steel
Abilities: Defiant / Supreme Overlord / (Unlocked) Pressure
Profile as a Bisharp:
Rook is overly cautious and trusts nobody because of past experiences. He's more of a strong and silent type. Rook has a dangerous obsession with sharpening his blades and is always hungry for a fight. Doduodrio hopes to get through to him somehow.

Changes Upon Evolving:
After a lot of hunting, Rook managed to pin down the location of the Bisharp that took over his pack. Then, they engaged in a fierce clash of whirling blades that resulted in the defeat of the rogue Bisharp. Rook took the Bisharp's Leader Crest as a trophy which caused him to evolve into a Kingambit! As a Kingambit, the addition of long hair has made it more difficult to move, but Rook is now physically a lot stronger to compensate for the lost Speed. His appearance is more formidable, commanding the respect of those who see him-- a huge improvement from when he was initially defeated.

How They Met:
Once, Rook was undefeated and led his own pack of Pawniard. Until one of them evolved into a Bisharp and challenged his leadership. And defeated him, driving him out of the pack. In doing so, his pride was damaged, maybe irreparably so, so when Doduodrio stumbled upon him, he immediately challenged him to a battle. As Rook was still hurt from his duel with the other Bisharp, he lost easily and was caught.

Name Origins:
"Rook" is the name of a chess piece. Fairly straightforward name.

Species:
Tyranitar, Gender: Female
Level: 4, EXP: ---
Nature: Impish (+2 Def, -1 SpA)
Typing: Rock / Dark
Abilities: Sand Stream / (Unlocked) Unnerve
Advanced Techniques: None
Profile:
Not trusting of people she just met, it takes a while to get Louise to warm up to anyone. Despite this, she puts all her effort into whatever she chooses to put her mind to and has a keen eye for detail. Because of this, many people think that she is a lot older than she really is.

How They Met:
Louise doesn't like to talk about herself or her past, so nobody really knows anything about her history. But, she has let it slip that she used to live somewhere that rained all of the time and that she used to have a very nice life before being forced to move by some catastrophe.

Name Origins:
Originally going to be Barbara because it sounded similar to barbaric which Tyranitar's Japanese name was apparently based on. But, I thought Louise (based on Luisa from Encanto lol) sounded better.

Plasmanta, Gender: Female
Level: 4, EXP: ---
Nature: Modest (+1 SpA, -1 Atk)
Typing: Electric / Poison
Abilities: Storm Drain / Vital Spirit / (Unlocked) Telepathy
Advanced Techniques: None
Profile as a Snugglow:
Node is cheerful and constantly bounces around with seemingly limitless energy. She loves to hug her friends. Her bubbly personality cheers up her teammates and helps encourage them in battle. Node isn't always like this, though; when she doesn't get her way, she can be quite feisty.

Changes Upon Evolving:
Node is no longer as small and bouncy as she was as a Snugglow, but she's still very energetic. Her loving hugs always make her teammates feel better and encourage them to continue battling their hardest. She's too big to fit indoors, though, so she gets to stay outside in a special barn. Her increase in size also means that Node is big enough to be ridden; she glides gracefully through the air, held aloft by magnetic currents.

How They Met:
Doduodrio hatched Node from when she was an egg, hoping to learn more about raising Pokemon through her. Electric and Poison are some of the more dangerous Pokemon types, so he was hoping for it to be good experience for the future. He received the egg from a Pokemon Breeder who worked at the Smogon CAP Nursery.

Name Origins:
The two antennae on Snugglow and Plasmanta look like what Doduodrio originally thought were called "nodes."

I spot a couple things to rework here:
  • Defiant and Intimidate work on stat stages, not stage ranks. Intimidate should have lowered Kingambit's Attack stage by 1 for 6 turns, triggering Defiant raising Attack by 2 stages (for a net bonus of +1) for 3 turns (I believe Defiant overwrites). This theoretical +1 bonus would mean +4 flat damage on all physical attacks from Kingambit
  • Kingambit oddly has 30 EN, when it should have 70. I'm guessing you mentally swapped EN spent and EN left.
With that said...

"*ahem* Let's start over, from the top..."
:mawile: "Oooh, it's been a while!"

[MEGA EVOLVE] Brick Break | Brick Break | Brick Break

At start of step, IF Metal Burst THEN Focus Punch
At start of step, IF Dig THEN Magnet Rise first instance, Flamethrower second and third instance
Once at start of step, IF Torment THEN begin action string Focus Punch | Rock Smash | Fire Fang

The Torment sub should activate S2, meaning Mawile readies FPunch, gets hit by the combo, loses focus because it is hit, gets inflicted with Sealed (Brick Break), maybe FPunch too (if it Seals the moves used in the previous round too, can't check cause on mobile), and either fail to execute Focus Punch cause it's Sealed, or because it was hit when readying.
It then uses Rock Smash S3.

Mawile's stats should also be updated in the post-round.

Indeed an interesting match! But finally, man beats the wild birb, after a long struggle! Would've loved it even more if the Metal Burst mistake wasn't made! Anyways, here, have your rewards (& forgive me for my mistakes)!

TMan87 & Doduodrio get 1 TC, 2 RC & spend 2 JC.

Blades the Gallade (AyushKr) gets 2 RC & 6 JC.

The combo should not be able to confuse but get a +2 boost from Sheer Force, to the same result.
Also you're using old confusion, watch out.
Updated confusion is 50% recoil on all attacks.

I'm sorry, either way, almost the same consequences
