Overview
########

- Checks a variety of prominent Pokemon in the meta, such as Entei, Hydreigon, Pidgeot, etc.
- Access to Rocks and Trick Room make it a good supporter on both offensive and defensive builds
- Decent offensive stats allow it to still carry offensive presence with a good attacking movepool

Trick Room Support
########
name: Trick Room Support
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Stealth Rock
move 3: Explosion
move 4: Diamond Storm

item: Normal Gem
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
nature: Careful / Adamant

Moves
========

Diancie makes for a solid supporting pivot and Trick Room user with its low speed and high defensive stats. Its defensive stats combined with its stellar defensive typing also help it set Stealth Rocks easily. Diancie's last two moveslots are used for Explosion and Diamond Storm. Explosion allows Diancie to block Rapid Spin or Defog in a pinch, made even more useful since Diancie outspeeds the majority of the metagame under Trick Room. Additionally, Explosion packs quite a punch combined with Normal Gem and Diancie's solid attack stat, and disregards any burns Diancie may have picked up from Pokemon like Entei or Arcanine that it typically switches into. Finally, Diamond Storm is strong, reliable STAB that allows Diancie to threaten Pokemon such as Crobat, Entei, and more.

Since Diancie has a comparatively low base HP stat, it gains more overall bulk by investing in HP before its defenses; thus, HP is maximized. Attack is also maximized to increase the damage output of Explosion and Diamond Storm, since Diancie still possesses great natural bulk and this set is geared more towards offense than defense. Finally, the last 4 EVs are put into Special Defense to take hits slightly better from Pokemon that Diancie walls such as Hydreigon and Pidgeot (especially since Diamond Storm can boost Diancie's physical defense). To take advantage of Diancie's stellar defensive stats, a Careful nature is recommended, as even without a boosting nature in attack Diancie's attack investment is typically enough to do its job, although an Adamant nature could also be used.

- No -Spe nature because there are some significant things Diancie wants to outspeed before Trick Room (ex. Forretress, Slowking)

- Slow, hard hitting Pokemon like Abomasnow and Dragalge synergize well with Diancie and appreciate the Trick Room it sets up
- Entei appreciates Pokemon such as Defensive Arcanine being weakened, while being able to remove problem Pokemon such as Forretress for Diancie and weaken bulky waters
