While normally a strong sharpshooter, Decidueye is one of SV PU's best defensive pivots and forms of entry hazard control, thanks to its solid defensive typing, access to reliable recovery, and deep movepool. Shadow Ball reduces Decidueye's passivity and deals good damage to Pokemon like Mesprit, Sandaconda, and Bronzong. Decidueye's last slot is generally flexible; Knock Off cripples item-reliant threats like Rotom-C and Articuno, while U-turn gives Decidueye pivot ability against more awkward matchups like Wo-Chien and Skuntank. Tera Fairy provides Dark resistance while generally being a good defensive type, whereas Tera Poison trades the Dark resistance for a better matchup into Poison-types like Hisuian Sneasel and Weezing, as well as allowing Decidueye to remove Toxic Spikes upon switching. The EVs outspeed 0 Speed Sandaconda. Decidueye has issues with Pokemon like Wo-Chien and Skuntank, which it can't use Defog safely against, so Pokemon like Virizion and Sandaconda that can threaten these two are helpful. Other pivots like Lanturn, Mesprit, and Eelektross form a solid VoltTurn core with Decidueye.

Shadow Ball is Decidueye's STAB move of choice, making it not completely passive and dealing good damage into Pokemon like Mespirt Mesprit and Bronzong. (i'd add sandaconda too, more common than both of them. also worth mentioning that the move gives decid an easier time keeping hazards off against these foes.) Roost gives Decidueye reliable recovery, allowing it to be constantly healthy to remove hazards and act as a pivot. (roost is self-explanatory, though you could probably mention its access to reliable recovery in the first sentence where you explain why it's a good defogger.) Decidueye's last slot is generally flexible; Knock Off is normally used to remove items from Pokemon and cripple threats like Rotom-Mow and Articuno who rely on their items, but U-turn gives Decidueye pivot ability against more awkward matchups like Wo-Chien and Registeel. Tera Fairy is used to have a useful Dark-type resistance and generally being a good defensive type, but Tera Poison trades off the Dark-type resistance for a better matchup into Poison- and Steel-types like Hisuian Sneasel and Alolan Sandslash. (how is poison better vs steels?) (also lets you absorb tspikes rather than having to defog them, which is cool if you get knocked.) The EVs outspeed 0 speed Sandaconda. Decidueye has issues with Pokemon like Wo-Chien and Registeel, who it can't defog safely against, so Pokemon like Virizon Virizion and Lycanroc who can threaten these two are helpful. (lycan generally loses 1v1 to registeel, mention smth like sandaconda instead.) Other Pivots like Lanturn, Mespirit Mesprit, and Elektross Eelektross forms a solid VoltTurn core with Decidueye.

Replace Muk with Weezing, Muk still sort of blanks you anyway + Tera Poison Decidueye gets to Defog on Weezing basically all day.

Decidueye has issues with Pokemon like Wo-Chien and Sandaconda, who it can't defog safely against, so Pokemon like Virizion and Lycanroc who can threaten these two are helpful.

Other than Glare (which is admittedly annoying), you Defog on Sandaconda fine. When I said mention Sandaconda, I meant in place of the Lycanroc mention because Lycanroc isn't the most ideal way to pressure Registeel.
