Alolan Golem (QC: 1/3)

[OVERVIEW]

* Alolan Golem is a situacional pick for teams that struggle against Steel-types, such as Ferroseed and Aggron.
* Its niche resides in Magnet Pull, making it a good trapper for the aforementioned Pokémon, eliminating them with ease, separating itself from Probopass.
* Considering its resistances and STABs, Alolan Golem can pressure some of the hazard removers of the tier, such as Skuntank and Articuno.
* Unfortunately, Alolan Golem is heavily outclassed as a Steel trapper and Stealth Rock user by Probopass, who can do a similar role.
* It doesn't fit on defensive teams very well, leaving it behind Probopass in that scenario, considering the synergy and defensive utility it brings to that playstyle.
* Because of its Speed stat, Alolan Golem is outsped and dealt with even by Pokemon that it could otherwise handle, such as Abomasnow and Alolan Sandslash with Fire Punch.
* Also, despite its good Defense stat, its poor defensive typing and Special Defense leaves it vulnerable against common coverage moves and reasonably powerful resisted Special attacks.

[SET]
name: Utility Trapper
move 1: Stone Edge/ Rock Slide
move 2: Stealth Rock
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Fire Punch
Item: Shuca Berry
Ability: Magnet Pull
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 SpD/ 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Stone Edge is Alolan Golem's most powerful Rock-type move, allowing it to OHKO Pyroar, Oricorio-G and Jynx, while 2HKO bulky mons such as Clefairy and Eelektross on the switch. Rock Slide can be used for its better accuracy and the ability to OHKO the former three, but doing it you lose the ability to 2HKO the latter two.
* Stealth Rock provides entry hazard support and can pressure some teams, helping Alolan Golem and its team partners achieve some OHKOs or 2HKOs.
* Earthquake is used to trap and revenge kill Aggron and Probopass for a guaranteed OHKO and 3HKO defensive Mawile after Stealth Rock, while serving as a powerful move overall.
* Finally, Fire Punch gives Alolan Golem the ability to 2HKO Ferroseed and to hit Bronzor, beating it in the long run.

Set Details
========

* Full investment in Attack and Speed along with a Jolly nature lets Alolan Golem hit hard and fast as possible.
* Shuca Berry allows Alolan Golem to endure an Earthquake from Aggron and Alolan Sandslash or an Earth Power from Probopass if needed, letting it trap and remove them easily.
* Magnet Pull is what makes this Pokemon valuable on the tier, letting it trap its Steel-type targets.

Usage Tips
========

* Because of its difficult to take hits like Probopass does, Alolan Golem appreciates slow VoltTurn to bring it in the Steel-types that it traps.
* Even with Shuca Berry, Alolan Golem has a high chance to fall to Choice Band Aggron's Earthquake after Stealth Rock, so keep that in mind when trying to hard switch or pivot into it.
* Because of its Steel-less typing, Alolan Golem can trap Probopass and alleviate the job of its Steel-type partners, while Probopass can't do the same and will get OHKOed by it.
* Even though Alolan Golem is able to trap and remove Ferroseed with ease, try to chip it before bringing Alolan Golem on the field. With Leech Seed, Protect and Iron Barbs, Ferroseed could hurt it to the point that it can no longer pivot in front of its targets as safely as before, leaving it unable to resist a hit before attacking if needed.
* When trying to trap Togedemaru, keep in mind that it will outspeed Alolan Golem and can use U-Turn to take advantage in a switch-in. Scout its set and only trap it if it's the Choice Scarf variant and it's not locked in U-Turn.
* After did it job of trapping Steel-types and setting hazards, Alolan Golem can be sacked if needed to gain momentum.

Team Options
========

* Alolan Golem fits better on offensive teams alongside Pokemon that struggle against problematic Steel-types like Ferroseed, Choice Scarf Togedemaru and Aggron. Mesprit, Z-Me First Pinsir and Aggron are good examples of partners that appreciate this role, allowing them to wallbreak or not being walled by Alolan Golem's targets . Also, Ferroseed appreciates opposing Probopass being knocked out, leaving it doing it job without the fear to being trapped.
* By virtue of its defensive typing and Defense stat, Alolan Golem can be useful pivoting into a few physical Flying- and Electric-types moves, supporting Pokemon that struggle against it, such as Pinsir and Kingler.
* To support Alolan Golem, Weezing can be used as a free switch to Ground-types and a resist for Fighting and Grass-types, while Lanturn, even stacking a common weakness in Ground- and Grass-type, can alliviate its horrendous Special Defense and can take Water-type moves for it, while pressuring physical defensive Pokemon that give Alolan Golem some trouble, such as Mesprit and Weezing.
* Slow VoltTurn is a valuable way to bring Alolan Golem in the field without taking a hit that can compromise its job. Lanturn and Eelektross are the premier users of Volt Switch, while Specially Defensive Togedemaru can pivot out using U-Turn.
* Keeping your side of the field without hazards can seen to be very useful for Alolan Golem when trapping Choice Band Aggron, Alolan Sandslash and Probopass, allowing it to survive the Ground-type move without risking being OHKOed after the entry hazard damage. Skuntank and Hitmonchan can achieve that role to support it.

Other Options
========
* Choice Band can be used to achieve a secure OHKO against Ferroseed, but it doesn't have any use outside of it, plus it is largely outclassed by other Choice Band users such as Primeape and Mudsdale, hinder its ability to trap Steel-types and none of its moves are at least passable to be locked into.
* Choice Scarf can be used to outspeed Aurorus, Abomasnow and Zangoose and OHKO the former two and have a good chance to do the same to the latter, but being locked in one move can drain momentum and its speed tier isn't good even considering the item, still leaving it oustped by the majority of the offensive Pokemon of the tier.
* A suicide lead with Galvanize and Focus Sash can be used, using Explosion as a nuke that can at least cripple even the bulkiest wall that doesn't resist it. but that way Alolan Golem loses its primary role as a trapper of Steel-types, besides being outclassed by others suicide leads such as Aurorus and Lycanroc.
* Wild Charge can replace Stone Edge depending on the team's needs, but the lack of Rock-resistances in the tier and the overall power of the Rock-STAB is much more desired.
* If Stealth Rock is being used on another Pokemon, Toxic can be used to cripple some walls or a slow set-up sweeper.

Cheks and Counters
========

**Special Attackers**: By virtue of its poor Special Defense stat, it will fall to any decently Strong Special Attacker on the tier, even if they're not very effective against it. Oricorio-G and Choice Specs Pyroar are some examples that Alolan Golem resists at least one of their STAB and can 1v1, but doesn't serve as a switch-in, while Swanna, Floatzel and Alolan Raichu are inevitable problems if they get a safe switch.

**Ground-types**: Due to Alolan Golem mediocre typing and movepool, almost any Ground-type will cause it problems, at least walling it at some degree and achieving a OHKO with little difficulty. Alolan Dugtrio, Golurk, Claydol and Mudsdale are the main names in this category, although Alolan Dugtrio doesn't appreciate switching in an attack from Alolan Golem and can't OHKO it without some prior damage.

**Faster Attackers**: Taking in consideration its low Speed stat, Pokemon like Kingler, Primeape and Lycanroc-Midday can take down Alolan Golem with a guaranteed OHKO, with the latter two after Stealth Rock damage.

**Physically bulky Pokemon**: Considering Alolan Golem's lack of raw power, it will struggle to break defensive Pokemon such as Mesprit and Weezing, being 2HKO with Psychic by the former and crippled with a burn by the latter.

[OVERVIEW]

* Alolan Golem is a situacional pick for teams that struggle against Steel-types such as Ferroseed, Aggron and Probopass.
* Its niche resides in Magnet Pull, making it a good trapper for the afromencioned mons, eliminating them with ease. (it's mainly for ferroseed, is worth mentioning)
* Alolan Golem's moverpool, although small in the sense of usefulness, has everything it needs to do its job in the tier. (unless you expand slightly this is actually pointless. just briefly mention its movepool)
* Considering its resistances and STABs, Alolan Golem can pressure some of the hazard removers of the tier, such as Skuntank, Articuno and Rotom-Spin. (i wouldn't even both mentioning rotom fan, it's such a god awful form of hazard removal)
* Unfortunately, Alolan Golem is heavily outclassed by most of Stealth Rock setters and other mons that bring Steel-types problems, such as Mesprit and Pyroar, respectively. (faces serious competition from probopass, but only holds a niche because it can successfully trap aggron without the risk of coverage or requiring an air balloon)
* Because of its Speed stat, Alolan Golem is outspeeded and dealt with even by mons that it could handle, such as Abomasnow and Alolan Sandslash.
* Also, despite its good Defense stat, its poor defensive typing brings a lot of common weakness to the team like Ground, Water and Fighting-types, and its horrible SpD stat doesn't help either. (very rough sentence here, just brush over it. very easy for coverage to deal with it)
* played on more offensive teams, and wont find use on defensive teams because it just doesn't bring the same synergy that probopass does

Moves
========

* Stone Edge is Alolan Golem's most powerful Rock-type move, allowing it to OHKO Pyroar, Oricorio-Sensu (oricorio-g) and Jynx, while 2HKO bulky mons such as Clefairy and Eelektross. (you actually lose to eelekross 1v1, because giga drain does way too much to you)
* Stealth Rock provides entry hazard support and can pressure most of the teams, helping Alolan Golem and its team partners.
* Earthquake is used to trap and revenge kill Aggron, Probopass and offensive Mawile for a garanteed OHKO after Stealth Rock, while serving as a powerful move in general.
* Finally, Fire Punch gives Alolan Golem the ability to 2HKO Ferroseed and to hit Bronzor for a little, yet bigger than Stone Edge's damage.

Set Details
========

* Shuca Berry lets Alolan Golem shallow an Eartquake from Agrron and Alolan Sandslash or an Earth Power from Probopass if needed, letting it trap and remove then from the game in a confortable way.
* Magnet Pull is what makes the difference between Golem-Alola (alolan golem) and its normal forme, allowing it to trap and remove Steel-types, something that the Kanto-forme can't do at all.
* A Jolly nature let Golem-Alola outspeed Adamant Aggron, one of its main targets.
* Full investiment in Attack and Speed let Alolan Golem hit hard and fast as possible, with the last EVs going into SpD. (put this at the top)

Usage Tips
========

* Althought Alolan Golem has a respectable bulk, it's better to bring it in a free switch or via Volt-Turn. Alolan Golem's typing doens't fit well with its defensive stats.
* Even with Shuca Berry, Alolan Golem has a high chance to fall to Choice Band Aggron's Earthquake after Stealth Rock, so keep that in mind when trying to pivot into it.
* It's not recomended to use Alolan Golem as your only Stealth Rock setter, seeing how fragile, slow and momentum drainer it can be.
* After did it job of trapping Steel-types and setting hazards, Alolan Golem can be sacked if needed to gain momentum.
* When trying to trap Togedemaru, keep in mind that it will outspeed Alolan Golem and can use U-Turn to take advantage in a switch-in. Only trap it if it's the Choice Scarf variant and it's not locked in U-Turn.

the usage tips here are pretty bare and only do a mediocre job of describing its role. also you wouldn't have two stealth rock setters, that's not optimal building. you need to stress that its main job is to trap ferroseed and other steel-types. please expand and i recommend looking at some usage tips from analyses in the gp stage.

Team Options
========

* Alolan Golem fits better alongside Pokémon that struggle against problematics Steel-types, such as Clefairy, Alolan Exeguttor and Lilligant. (both lilligant and alolan eggy do not really struggle versus steel-types. trick room alolan eggy has flamethrower and lilligant's best set right now involves hidden power fire and it also has access to sleep powder)
* Altough Alolan Golem is not the most reliable Stealth Rock setter, teams that lack one can appreciate this role. :pikuh:
* Its defensive typing, while not the best, can be useful supporting mons that struggle against Flying and Electric-types, such as Pinsir and Kingler. (it isn't an electric- or flying-type resist, at all. so many common pokemon in each type break it)
* To support Alolan Golem, Weezing can be used as a free switch to Ground-types and a resist for Fighting and Grass-types, while Gastrodon can alliviate its horrenduous Special Defense and can swallow Water-type moves for it.

this isn't good. talk about how it's primarily used on more offensive teams. mention both offensive and more passive pokemon that enjoy it being trapped. talk about how other pokemon can support it, and by god does it require extensive support. again read other analyses in the gp stage for more in-depth team options.

Other Options
========
* Alolan Golem's lack of different useful moves and items doesn't open much space for other options, altough it have a few ones.
* Choice Band can be used to achieve a secure OHKO against Ferroseed, but it doesn't have any use outside of it, plus it is largely outclassed by other Choice Band users.
* Wild Charge can replace Stone Edge depending on the team's needs, but the lack of Rock-resistances in the tier and the overall power of the Rock-STAB is much more desired.
* Brick Break can be used to break Aurora Veil and OHKO its setter, Alolan Sandslash, after Stealth Rock damage, but it's useless outside of it. (aurora veil is banned)

mention toxic, choice scarf, galvanize, etc.

Cheks and Counters
========

**Special Attackers**: By virtue of its poor Special Defense stat, it will fall to any decently Strong Special Attacker on the tier, even if they're not very effective against it. Choice Specs Pyroar, Oricorio-Sensu (oricorio-g) and Jynx are some examples. (why are you mentioning pyroar? you resist both of its stabs so you can beat it 1v1. same thing with oricorio-g and jynx. mention pokemon like alolan raichu, swanna, floatzel, etc.)

**Ground-types**: Due to Alolan Golem medíocre typing and moverpool, almost any Ground-type will cause it problems, at least walling it at some degree and achievimenting a OHKO with little difficult. Gastrodon (this will be rising with the next tier shift), Alolan Dugtrio and Golurk are the main names in this category.

**Faster Attackers**: Taking in consideration its low Speed stat, mons like Kingler, Primeape and Lycanroc can take down Alolan Golem with a garanteed OHKO, with the latter two after Stealth Rock damage. (i'd possibly either clarify lycanroc-midday as having drill run, because fire fang is very useful, and

**Physically bulky Pokémon**: Mesprit, Regirock and Weezing can all wall Alolan Golem with ease and KO it back or cripple it. (only earthquake regirock ohkos, and even then you have shuca berry so i don't like the wording)
I'm borderline hesitant giving this a stamp. The way this analysis is written and the actual content makes me question your meta game knowledge, but I'll give you a QC 1/3 if you include all of my changes.

Talked on Discord about some points (Probopass's mentions and C&C) and implemented all the others. Thanks for the check! Ready to QC 2/3.

[OVERVIEW]

* Alolan Golem is a situacional (situational)pick for teams that struggle against Steel-types that can't be handle by Probopass.(Examples of Steel-types that Probopass can't beat reliably)
* Its niche resides in Magnet Pull, making it a good trapper for the afromencioned(aforementioned, also you didn't mention them) Pokémon, eliminating them with ease, separating itself from Probopass by trapping and eliminating most notably Ferroseed and Aggron(Okay, so you did mention them but a very awkward spot, mention them in bullet point one and remove their mention here in bullet point two.).
* Considering its resistances and STABs, Alolan Golem can pressure some of the hazard removers of the tier, such as Skuntank and Articuno.
* Unfortunately, Alolan Golem is heavily outclassed by most of Stealth Rock setters and Probopass, who can do a similar role(we've went from Magnet Pull to pressuring hazard control to not being a good stealth rocker, and these are all true things, but the information feels very choppy).
* Because of its Speed stat, Alolan Golem is outspeeded(outsped) and dealt with even by mons(Pokemon) that it could (otherwise)handle, such as Abomasnow and Alolan Sandslash(Two Ice-types 4x weak to Fire are probably not the best example, unless you are trying to reference Alolem using Fire Punch, and if so, that wasn't clear. You can fix this by mentioning Fire Punch).
* Also, despite its good Defense stat, its poor defensive typing and horrible Special Defense leaves it to drop to("leaves it to drop" is very awkward reading. I get the gist of what you are saying, but reword this please) common coverage moves and moderated(moderately, you want to adverb not the participle) powerful resisted Special attacks.
* It doesn't fit on defensive teams very well, leaving it behind Probopass in that scenario, considering the sinergy(synergy) and defensive utility it brings to that playstyle.(Alot of these bullet points are very negative towards Alolem, and that makes sense because it's a low ranked mon. I would move this sentence where you shift between positive and negative attributes as this would be a great transition bullet point. Be sure to explain how it fits on certain offensive teams better than Probopass.)

Moves
========

* Stone Edge is Alolan Golem's most powerful Rock-type move, allowing it to OHKO Pyroar, Oricorio-G and Jynx (Okay, but considering its shaky accuracy and the fact that Rock Slide also OHKOes all of these mons, shouldn't I be using Rock Slide? Find better examples imo), while 2HKO bulky mons(Pokemon) such as Clefairy and Eelektross on the switch.
* Stealth Rock provides entry hazard support and can pressure most of the teams(all of a sudden we've went from some teams to most teams change "most" to some), helping Alolan Golem and its team partners(vague, elaborate).
* Earthquake is used to trap and revenge kill Aggron, Probopass and offensive Mawile (pretty for sure Offensive Mawile ain't a thing this gen)for a garanteed(guaranteed) OHKO after Stealth Rock, while serving as a powerful move in general.
* Finally, Fire Punch gives Alolan Golem the ability to 2HKO Ferroseed and to hit Bronzor for a little, yet bigger than Stone Edge's damage. (Referencing Stone Edge isn't ideal, considering it has shaky accuracy and its resisted You mentioned Abomasnow and Alolan Sandslash earlier, why not use them now? Just remove "to hit" and end the sentence with something like Snowslash.)

Set Details
========

* Full investiment(investment) in Attack and Speed let Alolan Golem hit hard and fast as possible, with the last EVs going into SpD(Is there a prupose for the 4 SpD EVs? If not, you can forgo mentioning them).
* Shuca Berry lets Alolan Golem shallow(do you mean swallow? weird word choice) an Eartquake(Earthquake) from Agrron(Aggron) and Alolan Sandslash or an Earth Power from Probopass if needed, letting it trap and remove then from the game in a confortable(comfortable) way(comfortable way? again I would maybe change the wording).
* Magnet Pull is what makes the difference between Alolan Golem and its normal forme, allowing it to trap and remove Steel-types, something that the Kanto-forme can't do at all.(You don't have to reference regular Golem here. I would talk about how such few Pokemon have access to this rare ability)
* A Jolly nature let Golem-Alola outspeed Adamant Aggron, one of its main targets.(This feels out of place, I would combine this bullet point with the first one)

Usage Tips
========

* Because of its difficult to shallow(swallow? again?) hits like Probopass(Probopass isn't a hit, it's a Pokemon. Change to Probopass's Earth Power), Alolan Golem appreciates VolTurn(VoltTurn) to bring it in the Steel-types that it traps. (Mention that Golem is frail on the special side so slow pivots are best)
* Even with Shuca Berry, Alolan Golem has a high chance to fall to Choice Band Aggron's Earthquake after Stealth Rock(this is why swallow doesn't fit in either context you used it), so keep that in mind when trying to hard switch or pivot into it.
* Because of its Steel-less typing, Alolan Golem can trap Probopass and alliviate(alleviate) the job of its partners(why is this important), while Probopass can't(why can't it). This is an important difference between these two Pokemon.(but you didn't explain why and you left the reader confused)(remove the last sentence)
* Even though Alolan Golem can trap and remove Ferroseed with ease, try to chip it before bringing Alolan Golem on the field(why). With Leech Seed, Protect and Iron Barbs, Ferroseed can hurt its trapper(this analysis is about alolem, don't use trapper because you've suddenly broadened the subject to include Pokemon like Probopass) to the point that it can no longer pivot in front of its targets with safety as before(why is this important).
* When trying to trap Togedemaru, keep in mind that it will outspeed Alolan Golem and can use U-Turn to take advantage in a switch-in. Only trap it if it's the Choice Scarf variant and it's not locked in U-Turn. (Mention scouting for its set)
* After did it job of trapping Steel-types and setting hazards, Alolan Golem can be sacked if needed to gain momentum.

Team Options
========

* Alolan Golem fits better on offensive teams alongside Pokemon that struggle against problematics(problematic) Steel-types like Ferroseed, Choice Scarf Togedemaru and Aggron(Good, you explained why it fits on offensive teams more than Probopass, now explain that briefly in Overview). Mesprit, Z-Me First Pinsir and Type: Null are good examples of partners that appreciate this role(why do they appreciate Steel-type being trapped). Also, Ferroseed appreciates opposing Probopass beign(being) knocked out, leaving it doing it job without the feart(fear) to beign(being) trapped.
* By virtue of its defensive typing, Alolan Golem can be useful pivoting in(into) a few Flying(Flying-) and Electric-types moves, supporting Pokémon(Pokemon) that struggle against it, such as Pinsir and Kingler. (Several Flying and Electric mons such as Swanna and Eelektross beat Alolem)
* To support Alolan Golem, Weezing can be used as a free switch to Ground-types and a resist for Fighting and Grass-types, while Lanturn can alliviate(alleviate) its horrenduous(horrendous) Special Defense and can swallow(again? swallow in this context isn't good word choice) Water-type moves for it.
* Continuing talking about Lanturn(But we're talking about Alolem, you can mention lanturn again in a list of examples)(slow VoltTurners such as X, Y, and the previously mentioned Lanturn), slow VoltTurn(you mention slow pivots now, but you didn't before) is a valuable way to bring Alolan Golem in the field without taking a hit that can compromisse(compromise) its job. The Former(former) and Elektross(Eelektross) are the premiere(premier) users of Volt Switch, while Mesprit and Togedemaru can pivot out using U-Turn(Togedemaru for sure isn't a slow pivot, and Mesprit isn't really either unless you mention its Defensive Mesprit).
* Keeping your side of the field without hazards can seen to be very useful for Alolan Golem when trapping Choice Band Aggron, Alolan Sandslash and Probopass, allowing it to survive the Gound-type move(Ground-type move) without risking too much rolls. Skuntank and Hitmonchan can achieve that role to support it.(weird sentence structure)

Other Options
========
* Alolan Golem's lack of different useful moves and items doesn't open much space for other options, altough it have a few ones.(This bullet point doesn't have a point to it, remove...)
* Choice Band can be used to achieve a secure OHKO against Ferroseed, but it doesn't have any use outside of it, plus it is largely outclassed by other Choice Band users.(does it hinder its ability to trap and set up rocks?)
* Choice Scarf can be used to outspeed Aurorus, Abomasnow and Zangoose and OHKO the former two and have a good chance to do the same to the latter, but being locked in one move can drain momentum and its speed tier isn't good even considering the item, still leaving it ousped(outsped) by the majority of the offensive group(group? weird word choice) of the tier.
* A suicide lead with Galvanize and Focus Sash can be used, using Explosion as a nuke that can at least cripple even the bulkiest wall that doesn't resist it. but that way Alolan Golem loses its primary role as a trapper of Steel-types.(good)
* Wild Charge can replace Stone Edge depending on the team's needs, but the lack of Rock-resistances in the tier and the overall power of the Rock-STAB is much more desired.
* If Stealth Rock is beign(being) used on another Pokémon, Toxic can be used to cripple some walls or a slow set-up sweeper. (why isn't it slashed then? there has to be a downside)

Cheks and Counters
========

**Special Attackers**: By virtue of its poor Special Defense stat, it will fall to any decently Strong Special Attacker on the tier, even if they're not very effective against it. Choice Specs Pyroar, Oricorio-G and Jynx(these are the SAME exact examples in the exact same order they were listed in Moves, find better examples) are some examples that Alolan Golem can 1v1, but doesn't serve as a switch-in, while Swanna, Floatzel and Alolan Raichu are inevitable problems if they get a safe switch.

**Ground-types**: Due to Alolan Golem medíocre(mediocre) typing and moverpool(movepool), almost any Ground-type will cause it problems, at least walling it at some degree and achievimenting(achieving) a OHKO with little difficult(difficulty). Alolan Dugtrio and Golurk are the main names in this category.

**Faster Attackers**: Taking in consideration its low Speed stat, Pokemon like Kingler, Primeape and Lycanroc-Midday can take down Alolan Golem with a garanteed(guaranteed) OHKO, with the latter two after Stealth Rock damage.

**Physically bulky Pokémon**: Mesprit, and Weezing can all wall Alolan Golem with ease and cripple it, leaving it unable to function well.(vague)
Overall, the information is there, you just need to find examples and explain more in-depth on some of the vague parts. However, my real issue with this analysis is that there are so many typos and weird sentence structures, and it makes it severely difficult for the reader to understand what's going on. I would consider taking a good look at your analysis even after you implement this AM QC check because I can't understate how hard it was for me to read this, and I know for a fact I didn't catch everything.

[OVERVIEW]

* Alolan Golem is a situacional pick for teams that struggle against Steel-types, such as Ferroseed and Aggron. (emphasize ferroseed here, it's a ton more common and you trap it way easier than you do with aggron.)
* Its niche resides in Magnet Pull, making it a good trapper for the aforementioned Pokémon, eliminating them with ease, separating itself from Probopass. (alolan golem also has greater offensive presence than probopass does, which is arguably the biggest thing it has over it.)
* Considering its resistances and STABs (you're really only using one of its STAB types in stone edge.), Alolan Golem can pressure some of the hazard removers of the tier, such as Skuntank and Articuno.
(merge these two points and go into a bit more detail about the synergy and defensive utility that probopass provides.)
* Because of its Speed stat, Alolan Golem is outsped and dealt with even by Pokemon that it could otherwise handle, such as Abomasnow and Alolan Sandslash with Fire Punch. (the wording on this point sort of makes it sound like abomasnow and alolan sandslash are using fire punch.) (mention that it's also outsped by pokemon like kingler, lilligant, primeape, and golurk, meaning that it's easy to offensively pressure.)
* Also, despite its good Defense stat, its poor defensive typing and Special Defense leaves it vulnerable against common coverage moves (what are some examples of these coverage moves?) and reasonably powerful resisted Special attacks. (mention some of its weaknesses, it will explain why the typing is poor defensively.)

Moves
========

* Stone Edge is Alolan Golem's most powerful Rock-type move, allowing it to OHKO Pyroar, Oricorio-G (super minor, you don't 100% have to do this, but specify that this is offensive oricorio-g, bulkier variants aren't always OHKOed.) and Jynx, while 2HKO bulky mons such as Clefairy and Eelektross on the switch. (clefairy isn't going to be switching into alolan golem.) Rock Slide can be used for its better accuracy and the ability to OHKO the former three, (if you decide to the thing earlier about bulky oricorio-g, be sure to fix this part too.) but doing it you lose the ability to 2HKO the latter two.
* Stealth Rock provides entry hazard support and can pressure some (p much all teams are at least somewhat pressured by stealth rock, but that's also minor.) teams, helping Alolan Golem and its team partners achieve some OHKOs or 2HKOs.
* Earthquake is used to trap and revenge kill Aggron and Probopass for a guaranteed OHKO (shuca berry aggron isn't OHKOed at all, while choice band variants only have an 18.8% chance to get OHKOed.) and 3HKO defensive Mawile after Stealth Rock, while serving as a powerful move overall.
* Finally, Fire Punch gives Alolan Golem the ability to 2HKO Ferroseed and to hit Bronzor, beating it in the long run. (put wormadam-trash here too.)

Set Details
========

* Magnet Pull is what makes this Pokemon valuable on the tier, considering that there are only two Steel-type trappers in the metagame and Alolan Golem is the one that works best with offensive teams. (the last part of this is kinda unnecessary outside of hand-waving that it allows alolan golem to trap steel-types. you already established why alolan golem is a decent user of magnet pull before, so you don't need to do it again.)

Usage Tips
========

(you're never going to hard switch this into cb aggron, it OHKOes you with head smash after rocks and has a high chance to OHKO you with eq after rocks like you say, and you don't have a high enough chance of KOing in return to run that risk.)
(i feel like as long as you're removing ferroseed, the fact that you're being chipped and stuff doesn't matter all that much, since you did accomplish your main job.)
  • Something about setting Stealth Rock and when to do it.
Team Options
========

* Alolan Golem fits better on offensive teams alongside Pokemon that struggle against problematic Steel-types like Ferroseed, Choice Scarf Togedemaru and Aggron. Mesprit, Z-Me First Pinsir and Type: Null (type: null isn't something you're going to use on more offensive teams like the other two. something like aggron would be better here.) are good examples of partners that appreciate this role, allowing them to wallbreak or not being walled by Alolan Golem's targets . Also, Ferroseed appreciates opposing Probopass being knocked out, leaving it doing it job without the fear to being trapped.
* By virtue of its defensive typing, Alolan Golem can be useful pivoting into a few Flying- and Electric-types moves, supporting Pokemon that struggle against it, such as Pinsir and Kingler. (too many pokemon with these typings have ways to pressure alolan golem, like eelektross, lanturn, swanna, alolan raichu, etc.)
* To support Alolan Golem, Weezing can be used as a free switch to Ground-types and a resist for Fighting and Grass-types, while Lanturn can alliviate its horrendous Special Defense and can take Water-type moves for it. (lanturn stacks a ground weakness, but provides a slow volt switch and can threaten certain physically defensive pokemon like weezing and mesprit.)
* Slow VoltTurn is a valuable way to bring Alolan Golem in the field without taking a hit that can compromise its job. Lanturn and Eelektross are the premier users of Volt Switch, while defensive Mesprit can pivot out using U-Turn. (i do understand the point of this mention, but this feels like a weird one bc it is also a stealth rock user.)

========

* Choice Band can be used to achieve a secure OHKO against Ferroseed, but it doesn't have any use outside of it, plus it is largely outclassed by other Choice Band users such as... and hinder its ability to trap Steel-types and brings rocks up. (none of its moves are anything you want to be locked into.) (the lack of rocks doesn't matter all too much bc you'll pair it with something that can set them in its place.)
* A suicide lead with Galvanize and Focus Sash can be used, using Explosion as a nuke that can at least cripple even the bulkiest wall that doesn't resist it. but that way Alolan Golem loses its primary role as a trapper of Steel-types. (also outclassed by other suicide leads like aurorus and lycanroc.)
* Wild Charge can replace Stone Edge depending on the team's needs, but the lack of Rock-resistances in the tier and the overall power of the Rock-STAB is much more desired.
* If Stealth Rock is being used on another Pokémon, Toxic can be used to cripple some walls or a slow set-up sweeper, but the tradeoff can be troublesome in the long run. (why?)

Cheks and Counters
========

**Special Attackers**: By virtue of its poor Special Defense stat, it will fall to any decently Strong Special Attacker on the tier, even if they're not very effective against it. Oricorio-G and Choice Specs Pyroar and Oricorio-G are some examples that Alolan Golem resists at least one of their STAB and can 1v1, but doesn't serve as a switch-in, while Swanna, Floatzel and Alolan Raichu are inevitable problems if they get a safe switch.

**Ground-types**: Due to Alolan Golem mediocre typing and movepool, almost any Ground-type will cause it problems, at least walling it at some degree and achieving a OHKO with little difficulty. Alolan Dugtrio and Golurk are the main names in this category. (put claydol and mudsdale here too, and mention that duggy-a doesn't OHKO without some chip + doesn't appreciate switching in.)

**Faster Attackers**: Taking in consideration its low Speed stat, Pokemon like Kingler, Primeape and Lycanroc-Midday can take down Alolan Golem with a guaranteed OHKO, with the latter two after Stealth Rock damage.

**Physically bulky Pokémon**: Mesprit and Weezing can wall Alolan Golem with ease or cripple it with a burn, respectively, 2HKOing it with Pyschic or leaving it unable to function well due to the attack reduction. (reword this point.)
implement this and tag me when you do.

Hi bud!

Sadly, with Ferroseed leaving Alolan Golem just doesn't retain a strong enough niche to warrant an analysis at this time, as both the rise in Jolly Aggron and the decreased usage in Probopass (due to the previously mentioned Ferroseed rise) means it's trapping basically nothing. Do try another analysis though!
