  1. CAP 13 CAP 2 - Part 5 - Flavor Ability Poll 1

    Anticipation Unnerve
  2. CAP 13 CAP 2 - Art Submissions

First CAP art submission ever! Apologies for the poor-quality camera shot, if this gets feedback i'll do a version on the computer. This CAP design is based on a spriggan/dryad, which channels the spirits of its fallen friends and family (and soon to fall enemies) into its own wooden...
  3. CAP 13 CAP 2 - Part 4 - Stat Spread Submissions

Was going to post a stat spread but bugmaniacbob's spread is basically a better and more justified version of mine, so I'll just vouch for his instead. :p I like how the high HP stat is actually a key factor in how CAP2 can use certain support moves like Wish and Transform (and even recoil moves...
  4. Deoxys-S (Multipurpose)

I tried something like this for my team, and I'd have to say it both supported the team with entry hazards and got key revenge kills. Here's the set I used. Deoxys-S @ Life Orb Trait: Pressure EVs: 204 HP / 252 SAtk / 52 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Stealth Rock - Spikes - Ice Beam - Psycho...
  5. Mantine [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

Does Ice Beam even warrant a slash? The only pokemon in the tier it hits harder than Hidden Power Flying or Scald are Rotom-C and Gligar, and the latter is already wrecked by Scald anyways. Meanwhile, Poliwrath and Feraligatr can now set up on you, and other Water types can just tank your hits...
  6. Yep. I don't intend to do any more analysis work, so go ahead. :)

Yep. I don't intend to do any more analysis work, so go ahead. :)
  7. Gliscor (Classic)

Okay, duly noted. The pokemon that Roost Gliscor deals better with include some variants of Dragonite (if you have Ice Fang or Toxic), Choice Band Tyranitar (that lacks Ice Beam), Haxorus, Salamence, and Toxicroak that lack Ice Punch I guess. In retrospect this set doesn't have a lot of merit...
  8. Jolteon (Baton Pass)

Yep, I'll put both in the AC. I think I'd prefer to use Magnet since Hidden Power Ice hits everything it needs to hard enough with Leftovers in my experience, and Magnet gives Thunderbolt better power against neutral targets. I'll also revise that description you were talking about.
  9. Jolteon (Baton Pass)

Sure, I'll give it a slash. It's sort of like a midway between the Specs and Leftovers sets, although the recoil is disheartening, especially when opponents are likely to switch in Tyranitar. Is Magnet worth a mention, since it gives Thunderbolt a good boost without causing recoil?
  10. Jolteon (Baton Pass)

I've been given permission by PKGaming to take over the analysis for Jolteon (Baton Pass) since Hyperbeem hasn't worked on the analysis for ages, hasn't responded to either my messages or those of AccidentalGreed, and the set he's used is largely the one I suggested anyways. Furthermore, he's...
  11. CAP 13 CAP 2 - Concept Assessment

I think, with the aim of preventing CAP 2 from being one dimensional, it shouldn't have an amazing speed stat. Otherwise, people are just going to slap Spore and a Scarf on it, and call it a day, especially since this thing will probably have the offenses to make a Scarf set somewhat usable...
  12. 5th Gen OU Analysis Index - 89 BW2 Revamps On Site!

I PM'd SDS beforehand, just posting here because AccidentalGreed asked me to. :P
  13. 5th Gen OU Analysis Index - 89 BW2 Revamps On Site!

I've already done most of the work for the set as well, and since it's passed QC I just need to write it up.
  14. Claydol (Physically Defensive)

Now that Excadrill's gone, Claydol is going to require even more justification to get an OU analysis, since it was one of its few reliable checks. It's almost complete setup fodder for stuff like Gyarados, and apart from controlling hazards it doesn't really do much in OU. Dragonite isn't even...
  15. 5th Gen OU Analysis Index - 89 BW2 Revamps On Site!

I'm reserving Jolteon (Baton Pass) since Hyperbeem hasn't worked on the analysis for ages, hasn't responded to either my messages or those of AccidentalGreed, and the set he's used is largely the one I suggested anyways.
  16. CAP 13 CAP 2 - Part 1 - Concept Poll 3

    Fire Blast
  17. Chandelure (Trick Room) [QC 0/3]

I'd say Chandelure is /just/ about slow enough to use Trick Room, since it can still undercut Tyranitar under its effects. That said, I wouldn't use it in OU over Reuniclus due to the Stealth Rock weakness inhibiting its decent bulk. It's only 20% less bulky than Reuniclus, but the extra...
  18. 2Drag2Mag and a couple friends

From what you've said in the description for Salamence, and from the fact you have a Rapid Spinner on the team already, why not run Multi-Scale Dragonite instead? It has much better bulk even without Multi-Scale and can set up Dragon Dances more easily than Salamence, negating its speed issues...
