Personally, I voted to remain, but with no great enthusiasm. This has been the ugliest campaign I can remember, even worse than the recent London mayoral contest which really did have racist undertones against the Muslim candidate Sadiq Khan. The lies and attacks from both sides have been disgusting.

Lots has been made of the age divide, but even more significant than that has been the class divide. Graduates overwhelmingly voted to stay, the lower classes voted unanimously to leave. And now I see so much sneering from the rich to the poor along the lines of "How dare you defy us! Get back into line!"

Of course, the EU works for the rich. Rich folks get more profitable businesses, the poor find immigrants competing with them for jobs and housing.

Any more questions I will be happy to discuss but I don't want to talk about it on the main thread. The combination of politics and open forums is too inflammatory.
