[OVERVIEW]

Wishiwashi has the highest Special Attack stat in the tier, allowing it to 2HKO most Pokemon with its Choice Specs-boosted moves. Given its low Speed stat, great offensive capabilities, and the fact that it functions optimally with HP investment to avoid deactivating its School form, it works best with Trick Room support. While it has a shallow movepool, it has enough coverage to make it difficult to wall with standard Water-resistant Pokemon, as Hidden Power Grass OHKOes Gastrodon, U-turn OHKOes Jynx, and Ice Beam provides coverage against Grass-types like Cradily that are able to switch into a Choice Specs-boosted Hydro Pump. Its vulnerability to entry hazards coupled with its lack of reliable recovery options outside of Rest and Leftovers leaves it liable to being worn down to the point its ability Schooling is deactivated, which in turn causes Wishiwashi to become extremely passive. Even with full HP investment and high defenses, it is unable to take many neutral hits before it's forced out of School forme. Outside of Trick Room, Wishiwashi is very easy to KO or deactivate Schooling, as it's slow, forcing it to take a hit before attacking. Its weakness to common typings in Grass and Electric causes it to lose to Pokemon like Lilligant and Alolan Raichu when Trick Room is not active. Wishiwashi requires a great deal of team support to work well, as it cannot set up Trick Room on its own and greatly benefits from entry hazard removal.

Moves
========

A STAB-boosted Hydro Pump with Choice Specs coming from a massive Special Attack stat allows Wishiwashi to 2HKO even Water-resistant Pokemon like Drampa and Abomasnow. Ice Beam is used for hitting Dragon- and Grass-types that can take a Hydro Pump such as Altaria, Alolan Exeggutor, Cradily, and Ludicolo. Hidden Power Grass hits Pokemon that resist both Hydro Pump and Ice Beam such as Gastrodon, Poliwrath, and Lanturn. U-turn is used in the final slot to preserve momentum on predicted switches and to ease prediction against opposing teams with Water-immune Pokemon like Gastrodon. It will also OHKO Jynx on the switch, which is able to freely switch into Wishiwashi's other moves.

Set Details
========

Full investment in HP and Special Attack maximizes Wishiwashi's bulk and damage output. A Quiet nature with 0 Speed IVs is used to increase Wishiwashi's Special Attack while making it as slow as possible so it is able to move before its foes when Trick Room is in effect. Choice Specs is the preferred item, as it allows Wishiwashi to hit incredibly hard with Hydro Pump. Schooling is Wishiwashi's only ability and causes its base stats to be reduced dramatically if Wishiwashi's HP goes under 25%.

Usage Tips
========

Try to bring Wishiwashi in safely while Trick Room is active with moves such as U-turn, Healing Wish, and Explosion to prevent Wishiwashi from being taken below 25% HP, deactivating Schooling. Use Wishiwashi early-game to break down the opposing team to enable another teammate such as Crabominable to sweep. Hydro Pump should be used most of the time for its incredible Base Power, and it should only be using its other moves on Pokemon that avoid the 2HKO from Hydro Pump, such as Ludicolo and Alolan Exeggutor. Be wary of using Hydro Pump if the opponent has Pokemon with Water immunities, such as Gastrodon and Jynx, as they can take advantage of Wishiwashi being locked into Hydro Pump. Against these Pokemon, it's a good idea to use U-turn to scout the opponent's reaction and preserve momentum, as Trick Room is a hyper offensive playstyle and cannot afford to lose momentum. If Wishiwashi is about to reach 25% health and transform out of School forme, it is better to sacrifice it so it doesn't become setup fodder for the opposing team unless Wishiwashi has access to Healing Wish from Pokemon such as Mesprit and Audino. Schooling only activates at the end of the turn, so even if Wishiwashi is brought below 25% health, it is still able to act in its School forme for that turn.

Team Options
========

Wishiwashi requires Trick Room active to function but is unable set it up itself, so it needs support to do so. Pokemon such as Carbink have access to both Stealth Rock and Trick Room and can use Explosion to safely bring Wishiwashi in during Trick Room turns. Mesprit can set up Trick Room and has access to U-turn to bring Wishiwashi safely in; it can also use Healing Wish to fully heal Wishiwashi, allowing it to be played more aggressively in the match. Musharna and Audino also have access to both Trick Room and Healing Wish but are more passive than Mesprit, which is able to threaten the opposing team with Psychic. Other Trick Room users such as Crabominable and Alolan Exeggutor appreciate Wishiwashi's wallbreaking ability for a late-game sweep. Crabominable helps Wishiwashi by breaking down special walls like Type: Null, which can wall Wishiwashi. Alolan Exeggutor is able to beat Water-resistant Pokemon like Gastrodon and can also set up Trick Room for Wishiwashi. Ursaring beats Ferroseed and Type: Null, which can be problematic for Wishiwashi, while absorbing status and being able to clean up teams weakened by Wishiwashi with Facade.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Surf is an option over Hydro Pump, as it has more PP and does not miss, which can be beneficial because missing an attack can easily cause Wishiwashi to be taken out of School forme. However, the loss of power allows Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Kangaskhan, and offensive Mesprit to avoid an OHKO. 252 Speed EVs and a Modest nature can be used to work outside of Trick Room to outspeed uninvested base 60s, but Wishiwashi needs a great deal of support like Sticky Web, paralysis, or Tailwind to outspeed faster Pokemon, and the Speed investment causes a noticeable loss of bulk. Earthquake is an option over U-turn to guarantee a 2HKO on Lanturn, but it's already very likely 2HKOed by Hidden Power Grass after Stealth Rock damage, and losing U-turn prevents Wishiwashi from pivoting. It also allows Ground-immune Pokemon like Archeops and Eelektross to revenge kill Wishiwashi for free, and it's only usable against specific Pokemon like Lanturn, as it's not boosted by Choice Specs and is coming off of an uninvested Attack stat. Aguav Berry heals 50% of Wishiwashi's health when it reaches 25% health, allowing to it avoid being taken out of School forme once, but this greatly reduces its damage output. Assault Velt increases Wishiwashi's special bulk and allows it to change moves but greatly reduces its damage output. Rest + Sleep Talk or Rest + Chesto Berry lets Wishiwashi recover its HP back to full but requires it to give up offensive coverage for it and wastes valuable Trick Room turns. Endeavor allows Wishiwashi to do great damage even outside of its School forme, but it cannot afford to give up a moveslot for the move. A physically based set can be used to make use of Wishiwashi's high Attack stat, but its physical movepool is lacking, as Waterfall is significantly weaker than Hydro Pump, and it has very limited physical coverage moves, being limited to Earthquake, Iron Tail, U-turn, and Return, making it much easier to wall. Hidden Power Fire allows Wishiwashi to OHKO Ferroseed, which would otherwise wall it, but being able to take on Gastrodon and Lanturn is more important. Wishiwashi scores a 3HKO on Ferroseed with Choice Specs-boosted Ice Beam anyway. Life Orb is an option over Choice Specs to allow Wishiwashi to hit as hard as possible without being locked into moves, but the recoil from Life Orb makes Wishiwashi even easier to wear down to deactivate Schooling.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-immune Pokemon**: Pokemon like Gastrodon, Cradily, Poliwrath, and Jynx are immune to Water-type moves, and they can easily capitalize on this by pivoting into Wishiwashi's Choice-locked Hydro Pump and setting up or inflicting status on it or its teammates afterwards. Additionally, until they have been KOed, their presence prevents Wishiwashi from safely wallbreaking with Hydro Pump and can force it into using its weaker coverage options.

**Grass-type Pokemon**: Grass-types like Abomasnow, Ferroseed, and Ludicolo are threatening for Wishiwashi. Abomasnow survives an Ice Beam and can use Giga Drain to recover enough health to take another one while being almost guaranteed to deactivate Schooling. Ferroseed avoids the 2HKO from anything but Hidden Power Fire and can use Leech Seed and Protect to stall out Trick Room turns. Ludicolo is 2HKOed by Ice Beam and U-turn but avoids a 2HKO from Hydro Pump and can use Giga Drain to restore the lost health and likely deactivate Schooling.

**Faster Pokemon**: Wishiwashi is very slow and struggles to do much when Trick Room isn't active. Without Trick Room, faster Pokemon with a type advantage over Wishiwashi like Manectric and Shiftry can outspeed it and OHKO it with their STAB moves.

  • A combination of the highest Special Attack in the tier combined with a very low Speed makes Wishiwashi a good choice for dedicated Trick Room teams.
  • It can 2HKO almost the entire tier with a Specs boosted Hydro Pump. rephrase this to include its coverage too
  • It has an incredibly shallow movepool. mention what it is limited to
  • It is easy to wear it down as it only needs to be taken below 20% HP, forcing it out of Schooling form.
  • When it is forced out of Schooling form it becomes extremely weak and setup fodder for the opposing team. merge this with the bullet point above
  • It struggles to do much outside of Trick Room as its low Speed forces it to take a hit before attacking and potentially taking it out of its Schooling form.
  • mention its decent defences although low HP

  • Hidden Power Grass is used OHKO Gastrodon which is immune to Hydro Pump and is able to switch into Ice Beam. also mention other water types it hits
  • U-Turn is used to keep mometum and scout the opponent. would remove the scouting part, mainly just used for momentum
  • Earthquake can be used instead of U-Turn to guarantee a 2HKO on Lanturn, but it is already very likely to be 2HKO'd by Hidden Power Grass after Stealth Rock damage. move to oo

Set Details
========

  • 252 HP and 252 Special Attack EVs are used to make Wishiwashi as bulky and powerful as possible.
  • Quiet nature is used with 0 Speed IVs to make Wishiwashi as slow as possible to function during Trick Room.
  • Choice Specs is used boost its already incredible Special Attack to enable 2HKOs on the majority on the tier even if they resist Hydro Pump.

Usage Tips
========

  • Try to safely bring Wishiwashi on the field while Trick Room is active.
  • You should use Hydro Pump most of the time unless they have Pokemon with Water immunity or something that can avoid a 2HKO from Hydro Pump like Exeggutor-Alola.
  • If the opponent has Pokemon like Gastrodon that are able absorb Hydro Pump but you cannot risk using Hidden Power Grass it is better to U-turn to preserve momentum.
  • It is better to sack Wishiwashi than to let it transform out of Schooling form as it is a huge momentum drain. mention how it can turn into set up fodder out of schooling form

Team Options
========

  • Pokemon that are able to setup Trick Room are necessary as Wishiwashi cannot set it up itself. A good choice is Carbink who also has access to Stealth Rock and can use Explosion to safely bring in Wishiwashi. Mesprit is capable of doing the same but it is less passive and able to use U-Turn or Healing Wish to bring Wishiwashi into the field.
  • Other Trick Room abusers such as Crabominable or Exeggutor-Alola. The former complements Wishiwashi with strong physical attacks and the latter can also set up Trick Room. mention what pokemon they are able to take on that helps wishiwashi

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Wishiwashi has a very shallow movepool and lacks viable alternatives. don't need this here
  • Endeavor can be used to discourage setting up on its base form, but it is impractical as Wishiwashi is usually choice locked into another move.
  • Z-Haze can be used to bring Wishiwashi to full health once, but Wishiwashi is too slow to use it and it would be a waste of the already limited Trick Room turns to use it. The drop in power compared to Choice Specs is also too very noticeable.
  • could mention a purely physical set
  • hp fire lets you beat ferroseed easier

Checks and Counters
===================

**Trick Room ending** Wishiwashi loses most of its potential when Trick Room ends making it lose to many things it would beat during Trick Room such as Bloom Doom Lilligant and Exeggutor-Alola. could also mention stuff like Kangaskhans fake out stalling TR turns

**Type: Null** Type: Null is able to switch into Hydro Pump and use Rest and the 2nd Hydro Pump. It can then easily stall out Trick Room turns and beat Wishiwashi when it ends.

**Ferroseed**: Ferroseed avoids 2HKO from anything except a very impractical Hidden Power Fire and can use Protect to stall out Trick Room turns. It can beat potentially beat Wishiwashi locked into Hydro Pump with Leech Seed + Protect.

**Munchlax**: Munchlax avoids 2HKO from Hydro Pump and can use Rest + Sleep Talk to stall out Trick Room turns. merge this with Type: Null since it does the same thing

**Abomasnow** Abomasnow survives an Ice Beam and can use Giga Drain to restore its health to survive another and very likely force Wishiwashi out of Schooling form.

  • A combination of the highest Special Attack in the tier combined with a very low Speed makes Wishiwashi a good choice for dedicated Trick Room teams. (no need to say combined twice)
  • It can 2HKO almost the entire tier with a Choice Specs boosted Hydro Pump and Pokemon that can take Hydro Pump lose to its coverage moves. (this is a very general point, as it applies to almost every pokemon that act as wallbreakers) (you could expand a little here by merging with the below point)
  • It has an incredibly shallow movepool so it's only viable set is the Choice Specs set. (you can probably combine this with the previous point, while also mentioning how abusable it is when its choice locked)
  • It is easy to wear it down as it only needs to be taken below 20% HP, forcing it out of Schooling form. When it is forced out of Schooling form it becomes extremely weak and setup fodder for the opposing team. (25% hp, i'd also talk about how it doesn't transform straight away but instead at the end of the turn, so any attack that it uses will still go off the schooling forme's stats)
  • It struggles to do much outside of Trick Room as its low Speed forces it to take a hit before attacking and potentially taking it out of its Schooling form. (more so the combination of a shallow movepool, relying on choice specs and having a low speed stat)
  • Because it's used on Trick Room it can invest fully into HP to make most of its fantastic defenses giving it decent bulk. (mention how low its initial hp is)

Moves
========

  • A STAB boosted Specs Hydro Pump coming from a base 140 Special Attack is able to 2HKO even most Water-type resists in the tier. (like?) (it's also its most spammable move)
  • Ice Beam lets it take on Dragon-type and Grass-type Pokemon that would be able to take a Hydro Pump such as Exeggutor-Alola, Ludicolo and Cradily. (all three of the pokemon mentioned are grass-type, so if you're mentioning dragon-types then at least talk about the likes of drampa, however that's 2hko'd by hydro pump too) (altaria is actually worth a mention) (i'd also say that ice is overall a good coverage move because of how much it hits)
  • Hidden Power Grass is used OHKO Gastrodon which is immune to Hydro Pump and is able to switch into Ice Beam. (also hits poliwrath and lanturn too, so mention these pokemon)
  • U-Turn is used to keep mometum. (expand on this point, explain when it would use it)

Set Details
========

  • 252 HP and 252 Special Attack EVs are used to make Wishiwashi as bulky and powerful as possible.
  • Quiet nature is used with 0 Speed IVs to make Wishiwashi as slow as possible to function during Trick Room. (so that it is able to move first)
  • Choice Specs is used boost its already incredible Special Attack to enable 2HKOs on the majority on the tier even if they resist Hydro Pump. (this is a repeated point, why is this preferred over other items like life orb or expert belt?)
  • even though it's a detrimental ability you should still explain it here, and mention why it's crippling

Usage Tips
========

  • Try to safely bring Wishiwashi on the field while Trick Room is active. (how? can be brought in with explosion and healing wish for example)
  • You should use Hydro Pump most of the time unless they have Pokemon with Water immunity or something that can avoid a 2HKO from Hydro Pump like Exeggutor-Alola. (never say "or something", you need to be as specific as possible) (being choice locked into an ineffective move can drain all momentum for trick room, as it relies solely on momentum due to it being a hyper offensive play-style)
  • If the opponent has Pokemon like Gastrodon that are able absorb Hydro Pump but you cannot risk using Hidden Power Grass it is better to U-turn to preserve momentum. (can also be used as a middle-ground play against the likes of alolan exeggutor, for example) (you can also talk about ice beam here too as it does a considerable amount of damage to gastrodon, especially if it attempts to directly switch in on it)
  • It is better to sack Wishiwashi than to let it transform out of Schooling form as it is a huge momentum drain. Wishiwashi out of Schooling form is also easy setup fodder for the opposing team. (well, not quite sure i agree with this point. it can be brought back to full by a healing wish user and trick room often has at least one user)
  • used to break down the opponents team, this should be mentioned

Team Options
========

(musharna and audino are also worth mentioning)
  • Other Trick Room abusers such as Crabominable or Exeggutor-Alola. The former complements Wishiwashi with strong physical attacks and the latter can also set up Trick Room. (mention how they break things for each other, alolan exeggutor is able to deal with water resists and crabominable breaks down special walls such as type: null)
  • ursaring is a good partner on trick room

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Earthquake can be used instead of U-Turn to guarantee a 2HKO on Lanturn, but it is already very likely to be 2HKO'd by Hidden Power Grass after Stealth Rock damage. (you also lose to ability to pivot, which can mean you're forced to rely on double switching)
  • Endeavor can be used to discourage setting up on its base form, but it is impractical as Wishiwashi is usually choice locked into another move. (unless you're mentioning this with another item besides choice specs, remove it purely because it's so unbelievably situational)
  • Z-Haze can be used to bring Wishiwashi to full health once, but Wishiwashi is too slow to use it and it would be a waste of the already limited Trick Room turns to use it. The drop in power compared to Choice Specs is also too very noticeable. (i'd just remove this)
  • A physically based set is possible with Wishiwashi's 140 Attack stat but its physical movepool is lacking as Waterfall is significantly weaker than Hydro Pump and it has no physical Ice-type or Grass-type moves. (walled by significantly more in comparison)
  • Hidden Power Fire can be used to OHKO Ferroseed which would otherwise wall Wishiwashi but Hidden Power Grass is too important to give up for just one Pokemon. (mention jynx here too)
  • expert belt and life orb can get mentions

Checks and Counters
===================

**Trick Room ending** Wishiwashi loses most of its potential when Trick Room ends making it lose to many things it would beat during Trick Room such as Bloom Doom Lilligant and Exeggutor-Alola. (it's outspeed by everything and such, also is unable to self set so it has to rely on another teammate to do so) (mention how protect and fake out can be used to stall out trick room turns)

**Type: Null and Munchlax** They are able to switch into Hydro Pump and use Rest and the 2nd Hydro Pump. They can then easily stall out Trick Room turns and beat Wishiwashi when it ends. (hmm, i'm unsure about the way you phrase this. they beat it 1v1, or at least stall trick room out, most of the time, but when stealth rock is up both have a chance to be 2hko'd so mention that; they can, however, freely switch in to any coverage move)

**Shedinja** Shedinja is immune to all of Wishiwashi's viable moves. (i'm going to assume this is a joke)

**Ferroseed**: Ferroseed avoids 2HKO from anything except a very impractical Hidden Power Fire and can use Protect to stall out Trick Room turns. It can beat potentially beat Wishiwashi locked into Hydro Pump with Leech Seed + Protect. (hidden power fire isn't that impractical)

**Abomasnow** Abomasnow survives an Ice Beam and can use Giga Drain to restore its health to survive another and very likely force Wishiwashi out of Schooling form. (if you're going to mention abomasnow then you should mention ludicolo, and explain how hidden power fire can hit abomasnow as you've mentioned it in the ferroseed section)

**water resists**: there's no mention of lanturn, gastrodon, poliwrath, jynx, etc. which you talk about previously
Approved 2/3 QC. Also the title should be n/3, not n/2. Only gp has two checks.

[OVERVIEW]

  • A combination of the highest Special Attack in the tier with a very low Speed makes Wishiwashi a good choice for dedicated Trick Room teams.
  • Shallow movepool and lack of ways to boost its Special Attack makes Wishiwashi very reliant on Choice Specs to 2HKO most of the tier, making it abusable when it is locked to a move.
  • It is easy to wear it down as it only needs to be taken below 25% HP to force it out of Schooling form. When it is forced out of Schooling form it becomes extremely weak and setup fodder for the opposing team. Schooling only activates after the turn meaning Wishiwashi is able to use a move on its Schooling form on the turn it reaches below 25% HP.
  • It struggles to do much outside of Trick Room as its low Speed forces it to take a hit before attacking and potentially taking it out of its Schooling form.

  • U-Turn is used to keep mometum and is useful when the opposing team has Pokemon with Water-type immunity like Gastrodon to ease prediction. It also OHKO's Jynx who could otherwise switch into Wishiwashi( freely)

Set Details
========

  • 252 HP and 252 Special Attack EVs are used to make Wishiwashi as bulky and powerful as possible.
  • Quiet nature is used with 0 Speed IVs to make Wishiwashi as slow as possible to function during Trick Room to make it move first.
  • Choice Specs is used boost its already incredible Special Attack to enable 2HKOs on the majority on the tier even if they resist Hydro Pump. Choice Specs is necessary to reach many 2HKOs. Wishiwashi also cannot run Life Orb because of its ability. (im not sure why the last point is there. i feel like you should touch it up a bit more if you want to keep it since it sounds random and doesnt flow)
  • Schooling makes Wishiwashi weak and setup fodder when it gets below 25% HP so Wishiwashi cannot afford to take strong hits. (remove the cannot afford to take strong hits part)

Usage Tips
========

  • Try to safely bring Wishiwashi on the field while Trick Room is active by using, for example, U-turn, Volt Switch or Explosion.
  • It should be used mainly to break down the opposing team so that another teammate such as Crabominable can sweep.
  • You should use Hydro Pump most of the time unless they have Pokemon with Water immunity or Pokemon that can avoid a 2HKO from Hydro Pump like Exeggutor-Alola.(might as well say gastro again) Avoid getting locked into a wrong move as it a huge drain on momentum that Trick Room teams cannot afford as a hyper offensive play-style.
  • If the opponent has Pokemon like Gastrodon that are able absorb Hydro Pump but you cannot risk using Hidden Power Grass it is better to U-turn to preserve momentum or use Ice beam if Gastrodon has any prior damage for a 2HKO.
  • It is better to sack Wishiwashi than to let it transform out of Schooling form as it is a huge momentum drain. Wishiwashi out of Schooling form is also easy setup fodder for the opposing team. An exception is if you have Healing Wish user such as Mesprit that is able to bring Wishiwashi back to full health.

Team Options

  • Pokemon that are able to setup Trick Room are necessary as Wishiwashi cannot set it up itself. A good choice is Carbink who also has access to Stealth Rock and can use Explosion to safely bring in Wishiwashi. Mesprit is capable of doing the same but it is less passive and able to use U-Turn or Healing Wish to bring Wishiwashi into the field. Musharna and Audino also have access to both Trick Room and Healing Wish.
  • Other Trick Room abusers such as Crabominable or Exeggutor-Alola. Crabominable is able to break down special walls like Type: Null or Munchlax who could wall Wishiwashi. Exeggutor-Alolan is able to beat Water-type resists like Gastrodon and can also set up Trick Room. Ursaring is another good partner that is able to break special walls and absorb status with Guts. (mention what wishiwashi can do for these wallbreakers)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

=============
  • Earthquake can be used instead of U-Turn to guarantee a 2HKO on Lanturn, but it is already very likely to be 2HKO'd by Hidden Power Grass after Stealth Rock damage. It also prevents Wishiwashi from being able to pivot making it rely on double switches to preserve momentum. (also add something about getting momentum on lanturn is better anyways since you can go into something like ursa and kill force it out.)
  • A physically based set is possible with Wishiwashi's 140 Attack stat but its physical movepool is lacking as Waterfall is significantly weaker than Hydro Pump and it has no physical Ice-type or Grass-type moves making it significantly easier to wall.
  • Hidden Power Fire can be used to OHKO Ferroseed which would otherwise wall Wishiwashi and to beat Jynx but Hidden Power Grass is necessary to hit Water-type Pokemon like Lanturn and Gastrodon. (and you can pivot out on ferroseed with u-turn)
  • Life Orb could be used to allow Wishiwashi to hit as hard as possible without being locked into moves but the recoil from Life Orb makes it much easier to force Wishiwashi out of Schooling because of the recoil.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Trick Room ending** Wishiwashi loses most of its potential when Trick Room ends making it lose to many things it would beat during Trick Room such as Bloom Doom Lilligant and Exeggutor-Alola. It also cannot set up Trick Room on its on so it needs team support to set it up. Pokemon like Ferroseed with Protect or Kangaskhan with Fake Out are able to stall out valuable Trick Room turns.

**Type: Null and Munchlax** They are able to switch into Hydro Pump and use Rest and the 2nd Hydro Pump. They can then easily stall out Trick Room turns and beat Wishiwashi when it ends. However they both have a chance to be 2HKO'd by Hydro Pump if Stealth Rock is up.

**Ferroseed**: Ferroseed avoids 2HKO from anything except Hidden Power Fire and can use Protect to stall out Trick Room turns. It can beat potentially beat Wishiwashi locked into Hydro Pump with Leech Seed + Protect.

**Abomasnow** Abomasnow beats Wishiwashi lacking Hidden Power Fire as it survives an Ice Beam and can use Giga Drain to restore its health to survive another and very likely force Wishiwashi out of Schooling form.

**Water immune Pokemon** Pokemon like Gastrodon, Lanturn, Poliwrath and Jynx are immune to Hydro Pump preventing Wishiwashi from safely wallbreaking with Hydro Pump. They can also revenge kill Wishiwashi that is choice locked into Hydro Pump.

Just clicked onto this because I saw the am check, and C&C is really a mess. Trick Room ending should be "Faster Pokemon" and mention in that how they beat it specifically when trick room is over, it's simply a more accurate way to talk about the scenario. I dont get type null and munchlax at all when they're going to lose to wishiwashi and the best they do to stop it is end trick room before dying which really isnt great, like, at all, plus Wishi is never going to be without wallbreakers that abuse the hell out of the pair like Crabominable and Marowak. Abomasnow and Ferroseed could and should be condensed into a "grass types" section to include ludicolo because all 3 check it basically the same way (plus all grass types can abuse wishi specs locked into the wrong move or beat it without TR up). The order is in the exact reverse of what it ought to be. Checks and Counters is done by order of decreasing threat level, water immune mons are the worst for wishi, then grasses, then faster pokemon. This isnt a formal stamp or anything and if you disagree or have questions on any of this just let me know.

[OVERVIEW]

Wishiwashi has the highest Special Attack in the tier and a very low Speed, making it a good choice for dedicated Trick Room teams. Its movepool is incredibly shallow and it has no moves to boost its Special Attack, forcing Wishiwashi to rely on Choice Specs to achieve 2HKOs on most of the tier, but making it abusable when locked to a move. However Wishiwashi has no access to recovery and has a detrimental ability in Schooling that forces it out of its School-Form, making it incredibly weak and passive to be used as setup fodder for the opposing team. Schooling only activates after the end of the turn allowing Wishiwashi to move before being transformed. With its low Speed and Schooling it struggles to do much outside of Trick Room as it cannot afford to take strong hits without risking being taken out of its School-Form. Because it's used on Trick Room teams it can afford to maximize its low HP stat to make use of its amazing defenses.

It would be best to reorder some of these points, while adding some new content. What you have so far is good, but basically, talk about its strengths firsts, then its weaknesses, like this:
  • Strong attacker that OHKOes or 2HKOes the majority of the tier with its Choice Specs-boosted moves
  • Given that it has a low Speed stat, great offensive capabilities, and that it functions optimally with HP investment so that it can avoid being knocked into its Solo form, it works best with Trick Room support
  • Wishiwashi is difficult to wall with standard Water resists, despite its shallow movepool; for example, HP Grass OHKOes Gastrodon, U-turn OHKOes Jynx, Ice Beam provides coverage against Grass-types that might attempt to switch into its Choice Specs-boosted Hydro Pump, etc.
Then, once you've told us why Wishiwashi is useful and what kind of team it works best on, go into its cons a bit - being prediction reliant can alternatively just go in Usage Tips:
  • Schooling's disadvantages - Wishiwashi's vulnerability to entry hazards coupled with its lack of reliable recovery may knock it into its Solo form earlier than anticipated, which reduces its base stats dramatically and makes it passive as a result.
    • Despite its large defenses when in its School form, Wishiwashi cannot take many neutral hits before reverting to its Solo form.
  • Prediction reliant
    • Wishiwashi is forced to lock into coverage moves if the opponent's team has a Water immune Pokemon (ex. Jynx, Gastrodon, Cradily, Poliwrath, etc.). If Wishiwashi is locked into Hydro Pump before its teammates have KOed said Water immune Pokemon, then they are able to pivot into its Hydro Pump and use this opportunity to set up or status something.
  • Easy to KO outside of Trick Room due to its low Speed stat
  • Talk about its weaknesses to specific types and Pokemon more - Grass- and Electric-type coverage moves are reasonably common. Faster Electric-types like Alolan Raichu and Manectric beat it when TR is down. Faster Grass-types like Shiftry and Lilligant do the same.
  • Generally speaking, Wishiwashi needs a great deal of team support to be effective.

A STAB boosted Hydro Pump with Choice Specs coming from a massive base 140 Special Attack allows Wishiwashi to 2HKO even many Water-type resists like Drampa and Abomasnow. Ice Beam is used to hit Dragon- and Grass-type Pokemon that can take a Hydro Pump such as Altaria, Exeggutor-Alola, Cradily and Ludicolo. Hidden Power Grass hits Pokemon that resistas both Hydro Pump and Ice Beam such as Gastrodon, Poliwrath and Lanturn. Hidden Power Fire can be used to OHKO Ferroseed and Jynx. U-turn is used in the final slot to preserve momentum on predicted switches and to ease prediction against opposing teams with Water-type immunities like Gastrodon. It will also OHKO Jynx on the switch who is able to freely switch into Wishiwashi's other moves.

HP Fire belongs in OO.

Set Details

========

Full investment in HP and Special Attack maximizes Wishiwashi's bulk and damage. A Quiet nature with 0 Speed IVs is used to increase its Special Attack while makingmake Wishiwashi as slow as possible, so that Wishiwashi is able to move before its foes when Trick Room is in effect. to make it as slow possible to function during Trick Room to make it move first. Choice Specs is the preferred item as it allows Wishiwashi to hit incredibly hard with Hydro Pump. Schooling is Wishiwashi's only ability and makes it easy to wear down to make it weak and passive causes its base stats to be reduced dramatically if Wishiwashi's HP once it reaches below 25% health.

Usage Tips

========

Try to bring Wishiwashi in safely while Trick Room is active with moves such as U-turn, Volt SwitchHealing Wish or Explosion to prevent Wishiwashi from being taken out of Schooling (Coming in off of a Healing Wish is better to mention, since Trick Room's primary abusers do not make use of Volt Switch really - only PU Pokemon that are slow enough to work in Trick Room optimally and use Volt Switch are Alolan Golem, Eelektross, and Probopass, which aren't staples of the archetype). Use Wishiwashi early in the game to break down the opposing team to enable another teammate such as Crabominable to sweep. (For example, what does Wishiwashi beat early-game that allows Crabominable to win late-game? Or vice versa even?). Hydro Pump should be used most of the time for its incredible power, only using its other moves on Pokemon that avoid 2HKO from Hydro Pump such as Gastrodon (You mention Gastrodon in the very next sentence, change this mention or that mention to a differerent Water-immune Pokemon) or Exeggutor-Alola. Be wary of using Hydro Pump if they have Pokemon with Water immunities such as Gastrodon and Jynx as they can abuse Wishiwashi being locked into Hydro Pump. Against these Pokemon it's a good idea to use U-turn to scout the opponent's reaction and preserve momentum as Trick Room is a hyper offensive play-style and cannot afford to lose momentum. If Wishiwashi is about to reach below 25% health and transform out of School-Form it is better to sack Wishiwashi to not let it become set up fodder for the opposing team unless you have access to Healing Wish from Pokemon such as Mesprit or Audino.

Team Options

========

Wishiwashi requires Trick Room active to function but is unable set it up itself so it needs support to do so. Pokemon such as Carbink have access to both Stealth Rock and Trick Room and can use Explosion to safely bring Wishiwashin in during Trick Room turns. Mesprit can set up Trick Room and has access to U-turn to bring Wishiwashi safely in and can also use Healing Wish to fully heal Wishiwashi, allowing it to be played more aggressively in the match. Musharna and Audino also have access to both Trick Room and Healing Wish but are more passive than Mesprit who is able to threathen the opposing team with Psychic. Other Trick Room abusers such as Crabominable and Exeguttor-Alola appreciate Wishiwashi's wallbreaking to be able to sweep. Crabominable helps Wishiwashi by breaking down special walls like Type: Null who could wall Wishiwashi. Exeggutor-Alola is able to beat Water-type resists like Gastrodon and can also set up Trick Room for Wishiwashi. Ursaring beats Ferroseed and Type: Null which can be problematic for Wishiwashi while absorbing status and being able to clean up teams weakened by Wishiwashi with Facade.

Good!
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options

=============

Earthquake is an option over U-turn to guarantee a 2HKO on Lanturn, but it's already very likely 2HKOed by Hidden Power Grass after Stealth Rock damage and prevents Wishiwashi from pivoting with U-turn. It allows to Ground immune Pokemon like Archeops and Eelektross to revenge kill for free and it's only usable against specific Pokemon like Lanturn as it's not boosted by Choice Specs and coming off of an uninvested Attack stat. A physically based set can be used to make use of Wishiwashi's high 140 Attack stat but its physical movepool is lacking as Waterfall is significantly weaker than Hydro Pump and it has very limited physical coverage moves, being limited to Earthquake, Iron Tail, U-turn, and Return, making it much easier to wall. Hidden Power Fire allows Wishiwashi to OHKO Ferroseed which would otherwise wall it, but being able to take on Gastrodon and Lanturn is more important and Wishiwashi can use U-turn to pivot out of Ferroseed. Life Orb is an option over Choice Specs to allow Wishiwashi to hit as hard as possible without being locked into moves, but the recoil from Life Orb makes Wishiwashi even easier to wear down to deactivate Schooling because of the recoil.
  • SURF - Still scores many of the same OHKOes and 2HKOes, has greater PP, and does not miss. Missing an attack and taking one in return can potentially put Wishiwashi in Solo form, so Surf is a decent alternative.
  • 252 Speed EVs on Modest to work outside of Trick Room. Would still need support from effects like Sticky Web / Tailwind / paralysis to ameliorate its low Speed. This improves its wallbreaking potential against neutral-natured, uninvested base 60s and lower without needing Trick Room support.
  • Aguav Berry - heals a large portion of HP when at 25% HP or less and brings it back out of Solo form while allowing you to change moves. However, not ideal as it reduces Wishiwashi's damage output
  • Assault Vest - similar to the above, increases Wishiwashi's special bulk while allowing it to change moves, but reduces its damage output
  • Rest + Sleep Talk OR Rest + Lum Berry - bring Wishiwashi's HP back to full, but gives up offensive coverage for it
  • Endeavor - makes Wishiwashi not totally useless when in its Solo form, but it is difficult to find a slot for Endeavor without removing its ability to pivot or a coverage move to hit its typical switch-ins.

Checks and Counters

===================

**Water immune Pokemon** Pokemon like Gastrodon, CradilyLanturn,(Lanturn is technically immune to Water-type moves if it uses Water Absorb, but it never does, so I'd remove this and use Cradily instead here) Poliwrath, and Jynx are immune to Water-type moves, and can easily capitalize on this by pivoting into Wishiwashi's Choice-locked Hydro Pump and setting up or inflicting status on Wishiwashi or its teammates afterward. Additionally, until they have been KOed, their presence prevents Wishiwashi from safely wallbreaking with Hydro Pump and can force it into its weaker coverage options, thereby reducing its damage output.

**Grass-type Pokemon** Grass-types like Abomasnow, Ferroseed and Ludicolo . Abomasnow survives an Ice Beam and can use Giga Drain to recover enough health to take another one while being almost guaranteed to deactivate Schooling. Ferroseed avoids 2HKO from anything but Hidden Power Fire and can use Leech Seed and Protect to stall out Trick Room turns. Ludicolo is 2HKO'd but by Ice Beam and U-turn, but avoids a 2HKO from Hydro Pump and can use Giga Drain to restore the lost health and likely deactivate Schooling.

**Faster Pokemon** Wishiwashi is very slow and struggles to do much when Trick Room isn't active. Without Trick Room, faster Pokemon with a type advantage over Wishiwashi like Ludicolo (you just used Ludicolo as an example above, talk about Alolan Raichu, Lilligant, or something else that is faster and has a type advantage) can switch even into an Ice Beam and recover the lost health with Giga Drain before Wishiwashi can use it again.
3/3 if you implement the above, LzzzR. Feel free to let me know here or on Discord if anything I've written is unclear.

Its vulnerability to entry hazards coupled with its lack of reliable recovery options outside of Rest and Leftovers leaves it liable to be worn down to the point its ability Schooling is deactivated, which in turn causes Wishiwashi to become extremely passive as a result. Even with full HP investment and high defenses,(AC) it is unable to take many neutral hits before it's forced out of School-form. Outside of Trick Room,(AC) it is very easy to KO or force out of School-form as it slow, forcing it to take a hit before attacking. Its weakness to common Grass- and Electric-types causes it to lose to Pokemon like Lilligant and Raichu-Alola when Trick Room is no active. It requires a great deal of team support to work well as it cannot set up Trick Room on it'(Apos)s on and greatly benefits from entry hazard removal.

Wishiwashi has the highest Special Attack stat in the tier, (AC) allowing that allows it to 2HKO most Pokemon of the tier with its Choice Specs-(AH)boosted moves. **Faster Pokemon**: (colon) Wishiwashi is very slow and struggles to do much when Trick Room isn't active. Without Trick Room, faster Pokemon with a type advantage over Wishiwashi like Manectric and Shiftry can outspeed and OHKO it with their STAB moves.

Its vulnerability to entry hazards coupled with its lack of reliable recovery options outside of Rest and Leftovers leaves it liable to being worn down to the point its ability Schooling is deactivated, which in turn causes Wishiwashi to become extremely passive as a result. Even with full HP investment and high defenses, it is unable to take many neutral hits before it's forced out of School form forme. Outside of Trick Room, it Wishiwashi is very easy to KO or force out of School form deactivate Schooling, as it's slow, forcing it to take a hit before attacking.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

If Wishiwashi is about to reach 25% health and transform out of School form forme, it is better to sacrifice it so it doesn't become setup fodder for the opposing team unless Wishiwashi has access to Healing Wish from Pokemon such as Mesprit and Audino. Schooling only activates at the end of the turn, so even if Wishiwashi is brought below 25% health, it is still able to act in its School form forme for that turn.

Team Options
========

Wishiwashi requires Trick Room active to function but is unable set it up itself, (AC) so it needs support to do so. Crabominable helps Wishiwashi by breaking down special walls like Type: Null, which could can wall Wishiwashi.

Other Options
=============

Surf is an option over Hydro Pump, as it has more PP and does not miss, which can be beneficial because missing an attack can easily cause Wishiwashi to be taken out of School form forme. However, the loss of power allows Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Kangaskhan, and offensive Mesprit to avoid an OHKO. 252 Speed EVs and a Modest nature can be used to work outside of Trick Room to outspeed uninvested base 60s, but it Wishiwashi needs a great deal of support like Sticky Web, paralysis, or Tailwind to outspeed faster Pokemon, and the Speed investment causes a noticeable loss of bulk. Aguav Berry heals 50% of Wishiwashi's health when it reaches 25% health, allowing to it avoid being taken out of School-form School forme once, but this greatly reduces its damage output. Endeavor allows Wishiwashi to do great damage even outside of its School-form School forme, but it cannot afford to give up a moveslot for the move. A physically based set can be used to make use of Wishiwashi's high Attack stat, but its physical movepool is lacking, as Waterfall is significantly weaker than Hydro Pump, (comma) and it has very limited physical coverage moves, being limited to Earthquake, Iron Tail, U-turn, and Return, making it much easier to wall.

===================
