Fun fact: in my last walrus, Zack sent me this song. I gave it like a 7.5. Clearly, the song has grown on me a LOT since then. I think the bassiness of it really bugged me when I first heard it? Doesn't bother me anymore, and everything else about it is pretty great. Sorry, Zack.

Boku no Hero Academia OST - You Say Run

Thanks for reminding me that I need to watch season 2 lmao. Yeah this is really good. Constant driving guitar/drums in the background, some nice strings laid on top of that, and a killer french horn to top things off. The vague choir noises in the background near the end add a lot more to it than you'd think they would. Overall great track.

Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage

Sometimes a song just Works. I thought I was gonna score this significantly lower and then it just wouldn't leave my head for like a week. This is why we listen to walrus songs more than once, kids. I can't even really quantify why it's so good. The sax is fantastic, though. I can say that for a fact.

Think I was turned off by the slow start last time. Shortly after the reveal I playlisted it on a whim and it's rapidly becoming a strong sub for me. The choruses are fantastic and the guitar solo at the end is incredible.

This is a solid new wave groove and IDK why I was doubting that the first time through. It might get into a bit of a rut, yeah, but it's a pleasant rut, with a cool instrumental.

I still don't really LIKE this song, but it wasn't as terrible as my first evaluation rated it. Its worst crime is being fairly boring, but the girl's voice is kind of nice, and the backing track isn't really all that offensive.

Have revisited this more than I thought I would. There's a certain haunting quality about it that draws me in. The vocals are objectively kinda not-that-great but there's a melancholy to them that's alluring. A grower.

I hate her voice, and I hate the fact that this song never goes anywhere. It feels incomplete to begin with, and the part that IS completed doesn't sound particularly good.

Punk bands doing slower songs is never something that works particularly well for me - it tends to expose the weaknesses of their vocalists, and this is no exceptions. What's probably supposed to sound raw and emotional just hits me as discordant in a negative sort of way.

Jeff Rosenstock - I Did Something Weird Last Night

It's come to my attention that this is the same vocalist as in the previous submission, so I'm pretty comfortable with this placing. As you can probably tell, I'm not a fan of his vocal stylings. The music on this one is better though.
