[OVERVIEW]

Victreebel is one of PU's most dangerous threats under sun. Thanks to Chlorophyll, Victreebel outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame as well as a majority of Choice Scarf users like Mesprit and Primeape even without having to run a Timid nature. A fantastic offensive typing in Grass / Poison coupled with Fire-type coverage backed up by a base 100 Special Attack makes Victreebel a great choice to clean in the late-game. Victreebel also has a plethora of status moves to choose from, including Sleep Powder, Growth, and Sunny Day. Victreebel separates itself from other sun sweepers by being the only fully evolved Pokemon in the tier to have access to Weather Ball + Chlorophyll. However, Victreebel is incredibly frail and is susceptible to most forms of priority, especially Ice Shard. Victreebel also has a hard time breaking certain Pokemon, such as Magmortar and Curse Muk, without a boost. Moreover, it cannot make use of Solar Beam, Weather Ball, or Chlorphyll without sun, making it setup fodder for Pokemon such as Carracosta and Oricorio-G. Lastly, Victreebel does not have any distinguishable niches outside of sun.

Moves
========

Solar Beam is Victreebel's most powerful and spammable STAB move, being able to OHKO a large portion of the tier. Sludge Bomb is a secondary STAB move that helps eliminate Grass-types and deals solid neutral damage to Pokemon that resist Solar Beam like Pyroar and Oricorio-E. Weather Ball rounds out Victreebel's coverage by dealing super effective damage to Steel- and Bug-types such as Ferroseed and Pinsir, and dealing neutral damage to Poison-types such as Skuntank and Weezing. Growth boosts Victreebel's Special Attack by two stages while under sun, giving it the opportunity to break even the bulkiest specially defensive walls such as Probopass and Audino. Sleep Powder shuts down Pokemon Victreebel cannot OHKO, opening opportunities to pull off a 2HKO or a 3HKO. Sleep Powder also helps Victreebel against Sucker Punch users such as Skuntank and Kangaskhan.

Set Details
========

Life Orb boosts the power of all of Victreebel's attacking moves, allowing it to pick up important OHKOs and 2HKOs in conjunction with a Modest nature, which boosts Victreebel's Special Attack stat even further. Chlorophyll doubles Victreebel's Speed under sun, allowing it to outspeed up to Jolly or Timid base 95 Speed Choice Scarf users such as Primeape, Oricorio-G, and Mesprit. 252 Special Attack and Speed EVs allow Victreebel to be as fast as possible in tandem with sun while simultaneously dishing out as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
========

Victreebel should act as your primary sun cleaner; it's recommended to save it towards the near end of the game for optimal sweeping potential. However, Victreebel can be used mid-game if absolutely necessary. Victreebel is incredibly frail, so it's recommended you don't bring it in until all or most of its checks are gone or weakened. Victreebel should almost never be switched in directly. Victreebel also appreciates being brought onto the playing field with as many remaining turns of sun as possible, as a Victreebel outside of sun is highly susceptible to being revenge killed or used as set up fodder. Try not to switch Victreebel in and out too much, as entry hazard damage stacked with Life Orb damage racks up quick. Victreebel's main goal is to clean up late-game by spamming its three main attacks. It is recommend to only use Sleep Powder in situations where it cannot immediately OHKO the opposing Pokemon. Growth should be used against passive walls or when you predict the opponent to switch. Only use Growth when necessary to wallbreak. Victreebel is also reliant on making key predictions in order to conserve as many turns of sun as possible.

Team Options
========

Victreebel is a sitting duck if sun is not present, so it appreciates suicide weather setters such as Regirock and mid-game setters such as Volbeat and Liepard to constantly keep sun up. Victreebel appreciates its checks being whittled away at before it attempts to sweep. Exeggutor and Magmortar are good partners for chipping away at or removing Pokemon such as Mesprit, Hitmonchan, Muk, and opposing Magmortar for Victreebel. Lilligant can be used as a Healing Wish user to heal Victreebel if it decides to break early-game. Pokemon that benefit from having Victreebel on their team include Leafeon, Shiftry, and Exeggutor, as they appreciate Victreebel's ability to remove Steel-types and other sun checks with Weather Ball. Dedicated sun teams also appreciate Victreebel because it's able to absorb Toxic Spikes for the rest of the team.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Sunny Day can replace Growth or Sleep Powder in the fourth moveslot to help Victreebel sweep, but it is usually more effective on teammates such as Regirock, Volbeat, and Liepard. Victreebel could run a physically offensive set using Leaf Blade, Poison Jab, Swords Dance, and either Sucker Punch or Return, but Leafeon is a better Swords Dance Chlorophyll user, with more bulk and a better Speed tier. Special sets are generally superior due to higher Base Power STAB moves and unique access to Weather Ball. Similarly, Victreebel can run a mixed offensive set, but that would spread Victreebel's offensive stats too thin to be of any use. Grassium Z or Poisonium Z could be used as a one-time nuke, but Victreebel is fairly weak without a Life Orb, and generally it prefers to more consistent damage output. A Timid nature can be utilized, but without a Modest nature, Victreebel suffers from a significant power drop, missing out on a potential 2HKO for Audino and the near guaranteed 2HKO for Assault Vest Hitmonchan.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Lack of Sun**: With no sun, Victreebel cannot effectively make use of Solar Beam or Weather Ball. Futhermore, Victreebel becomes outsped by an overwhelming majority of the tier, leaving it wide open to attacks. Pokemon with Snow Warning and Sandstream such as Abomasnow and Hippopotas can get rid of Victreebel's sun and potentially check it in return.

**Priority Moves**: Victreebel's frailty leaves it susceptible to priority moves from Pokemon such as Kangaskhan and Lycanroc when weakened. Victreebel also is severely dented by a super effective Ice Shard from Piloswine and Abomasnow. Fake Out also burns out Victreebel's remaining sun turns.

**Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Mesprit, Muk, Magmortar, and Regice can take a hit and OHKO Victreebel back. The latter two must be wary of Stealth Rock, however, as too many switch ins can prevent them from reliably checking Victreebel. Specially defensive walls such as Audino and Altaria must also be taken into account.

**Sap Sipper Pokemon**: Sap Sipper Drampa and Assault Vest Bouffalant are immune to Solar Beam and are OHKOed by neither Sludge Bomb nor Weather Ball. In return, Victreebel is OHKOed by their STAB moves.

**Faster Choice Scarf Users**: Choice Scarf Alolan Raichu and Pyroar both outspeed and threaten to OHKO Victreebel with a STAB Psyshock and Fire Blast, respectively.

looks good but C&C is too specific:
Prankster Rain Dance is not relevant enough, just mention it's p slow if no sun is up
Poison-types > Muk and Skuntank
Faster Pokemon > Faster Choice Scarfers
maybe something about specially defensive walls if it's not growth

  • Victreebel is one of PU's most dangerous threats under sun
  • Thanks to its Chlorophyll ability, Victreebel outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame, as well as a majority of scarfers, without having to run a Timid nature List the scarfers
  • Fantastic type coverage in Grass / Poison / Fire backed up by a Base 100 Special Attack stat makes Victreebel a great choice to clean late game
  • It even gets access to Growth, which doubles Victreebel's Special Attack in the sun, opening a window of opportunity to break walls such as Audino and Muk Does it break Muk?
  • However, there are many downsides to running this Pokemon. First, Victreebel is incredibly frail and is susceptible to all forms of priority, especially Ice Shard Not all forms but yeah
  • Secondly, it has a hard time breaking certain Pokemon, such as Magmortar, Skuntank, and CroMuk without a boost. It doesnt really have a hard time breaking skuntank.(252 SpA Life Orb Victreebel Weather Ball (100 BP Fire) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Skuntank in Sun: 265-312 (76.3 - 89.9%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock)
  • Thirdly, it cannot make use of Solar Beam, Weather Ball, or Chlorphyll without sun, making it set-up fodder to Pokemon such as Carracosta and CroMuk To be fair, Cromuk isnt that common so I would list something else since u mentioned it previously
  • Lastly, Victreebel does not have any use outside of sun hyper offense
  • Maybe mention how good sleep powder is since you mentioned every other attack

Checks and Counters
===================

**Prankster Rain Dance**: Both Liepard and Volbeat have the ability to set up priority rain, halting Victreebel's sweep and gaining momentum for the opposing team. I'd say other weather instead of prankster rain dance
**Priority Moves**: Victreebel's frailty leaves it susceptible to priority moves from Pokemon such as Kangaskhan and Lycanroc-Midday. Victreebel also is OHKO'd by a super-effective Ice Shard from Piloswine and Abomasnow

**Steel-types**: Victreebel cannot touch Steel-types outside of sun, leaving it as set-up fodder to Mawile, Bronzor, and Aggron. ? You dont use it outside of sun you even said that in overview

**Muk and Skuntank**: Weather Ball fails to OHKO Muk and Skuntank, while Muk can OHKO back with Fire Punch and Skuntank can 2HKO with a Poison Jab + Sucker Punch combination. Skuntank must be cautious about Sleep Powder bypassing Sucker Punch. fire punch is rare on muk so i'd just say poison jab. i would also remove skuntank since vic can play around it with sleep powder AND weather ball does a ton

**Specially Bulky Attackers**: Pokemon such as Mesprit, Guzzlord, Magmortar, and Regice can take a hit and OHKO Victreebel back. The latter two must be wary of Stealth Rock however, as too many switch-ins can prevent them from sufficiently checking Victreebel. remove mespirt and say "special bulky pokemon" u should also mention audino

**Faster Choice Scarfers**: Choice Scarf Raichu-Alola and Pyroar both outspeed victreebel in sun and threaten to OHKO Victreebel with a STAB Psyshock and Fire Blast respectfully

  • A Modest nature boosts Victreebel's Special Attack stat even further already mentioned modest, but ur writing this up now so it doesn't matter
  • Chlorophyll doubles Victreebel's speed under sun, allowing it to outspeed up to Jolly/Timid Scarf base 95s such as Primeape, Oricorio-Sensu, and Mesprit only one of those actually is 95, just careful how u word it
  • 252 Special Attack and Speed EVs allow Victreebel to be as fast as possible in tandem with sun, whilst simultaneously dishing out as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
========

  • Victreebel should be used as a backup sun cleaner, saved for the near end of the game. unless ur rly certain about this, cuz i admit i haven't used sun like at all this gen, i don't see why you'd have to leave it late game. like if i had victreebel and sawsbuck or somth, which one i used first would depend more on their team and what i wanted to break, not an arbitrary "use this one first"
  • Victreebel is incredibly frail, so its recommended you don't bring it in until all/most of its checks are gone or weakened. Victreebel should almost never be switched in directly

also somth about how this is a hugely prediction reliant mon and to be the most effective really wants to get every move guessing game right to save sun turns

Team Options

u can have a sentence saying "this mon only goes on sun teams with sun staples", that's fine and would help summarize the rest of TO
  • Victreebel is a sitting duck if the sun is not present, so it appreciates suicide-setters such as Regirock and mid-game setters such as Volbeat and Liepard to constantly keep the sun up
  • Victreebel appreciates its checks being whittled away at before he attempts to sweep. Exeggutor and Magmortar are good partners at chipping away at or removing Pokemon such as Mesprit, Hitmonchan, Muk, and opposing Magmortar for Victreebel

  • Sunny Day and Encore can replace Growth or Sleep Powder in the fourth moveslot to help itself sweep, but they are usually more effective on teammates such as Volbeat or Liepard. sunny day fine but i see no reason to mention encore
  • Victreebel could run a Physically Offensive set using Leaf Blade, Poison Jab, Swords Dance, and either Sucker Punch or Return, but special sets are generally superior due to higher base power STAB moves and unique access to Weather Ball. sd can also be if u wanna run this off sun, but it's worse than leaf/obama and poison stab doesn't rly help much. it should get a separate mention tho
  • Similarly, Victreebel can run a Mixed Offensive set, but that would spread Victreebel's offensive stats too thin to be of any use.
  • Grassinium-Z or Posionium-Z could be used as a one-time nuke, but Victreebel is fairly weak without a Life Orb, and generally prefers to more consistent damage output
  • A Timid nature can be utilized to outspeed Choice Scarf Base 100s and 105s like who? examples would be good, but without a Modest nature, Victreebel suffers from a significant power drop, missing out on a potential 2HKO for Audino and the near guaranteed 2HKO for AV Hitmonchan.

Victreebel also is OHKO'd by a super-effective Ice Shard from Piloswine and Abomasnow no it's not, calc it lol. it gets picked off, but it's not quite OHKOd

**Specially Bulky Attackers**: Pokemon such as Mesprit, Muk, Guzzlord, Magmortar, and Regice can take a hit and OHKO Victreebel back. The latter two must be wary of Stealth Rock however, as too many switch-ins can prevent them from sufficiently checking Victreebel. Specially defensive walls such as Audino and Altaria must also be taken into account. change "attackers" to "pokemon", stuff like audino doesn't fall under attackers but pokemon gets across the point ur trying to make

**Faster Pokemon**: Threats such as Choice Scarf Raichu-Alola and Pyroar both outspeed and threaten to OHKO Victreebel with a STAB Psyshock and Fire Blast respectfully i don't see the point of saying "threats such as" when they're literally the only 2 relevant faster things (or if I'm forgetting like 1 mon, mention that so u can say those 3 things). Honestly though I'd just say "faster Choice Scarf users" since the only faster things are scarfers and the specificity is nice

hi so this isnt a qc check but i feel like the first sentence under usage tips (Victreebel should be used as a backup sun cleaner, typically saved for the near end of the game.) should instead read something like (Victreebel ideally should be used as the primary sun cleaner, typically saved for the near end of the game for optimal sweeping potential.) so yeah. next sentence can add a clause to this thats like "this is not set in stone however, as in the case that another chlorophyll sweeper may have an easier time sweeping then vic can act as a midgame wallbreaker too." or something

point is, vic is by far the hardest sun mon to actually stop lategame as it outspeeds everything while having much better pre-setup power than anything else in the tier. leafeon and sawsbuck are good yeah, but they are usually iffier in terms of wincon potential and whatnot since vic doesnt need to set up to just start doing a billion damage to everything. additionally, technically exeggutor is better midgame wallbreaking-wise due to more powerful solarbeams so i think from my own personal experience that stating that vic is ideally the best option for sun wincon more often than any other mon and definitely more often than not is the idea we should be trying to get across

i feel very strongly about vic btw, not sure if that came across lol

[OVERVIEW]

Victreebel is one of PU's most dangerous threats under sun. Thanks to its Chlorophyll ability, Victreebel outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame, as well as a majority of scarfers like Mesprit and Primeape, without having to run a Timid nature. Fantastic type coverage in Grass / Poison / Fire backed up by a Base 100 Special Attack stat makes Victreebel a great choice to clean late game. Victreebel also has a plethora of status moves to choose from, including Sleep Powder, Growth, and Sunny Day. However, there are many downsides to running this Pokemon. First, Victreebel is incredibly frail and is susceptible to most forms of priority, especially Ice Shard. Secondly, it has a hard time breaking certain Pokemon, such as Magmortar and CroMuk without a boost. Thirdly, it cannot make use of Solar Beam, Weather Ball, or Chlorphyll without sun, making it set-up fodder to Pokemon such as Carracosta and Oricorio-Sensu. Lastly, Victreebel does not have any distinguishable niches outside of sun. (id mention somewhere that it has a distinct niche in weather ball)

Moves
========

Solar Beam is Victreebel's most powerful and spammable STAB move, being able to OHKO a large portion of the tier. Sludge Bomb is a secondary STAB move that helps eliminate Grass-types and deals solid neutral damage to Pokemon that resist Solar Beam like Pyroar and Oricorio Pom-Pom. Weather Ball rounds outs Victreebel's coverage by dealing super effective damage to Steel and Bug-types such as Ferroseed and Pinsir, respectively, and dealing neutral damage to Poison-types such as Skuntank and Weezing. Growth boosts Victreebel's Special Attack by 2 stages (in the sun), giving it the opportunity to break even the bulkiest special defense walls, such as Probopass and Audino. Sleep Powder shuts down Pokemon Victreebel cannot OHKO, opening opportunities to pull of a 2HKO or a 3HKO. Sleep Powder also helps Victreebel against Sucker Punch users such as Skuntank and Kangaskhan.

Set Details
========

A Life Orb boosts all of Victreebel's attacking moves, allowing it to pick up important OHKOs and 2HKOs in conjunction with a Modest nature, which boosts Victreebel's Special Attack stat even further. Chlorophyll doubles Victreebel's speed under sun, allowing it to outspeed up to Jolly/Timid Scarf base 95s and below, such as Primeape, Oricorio-Sensu, and Mesprit. 252 Special Attack and Speed EVs allow Victreebel to be as fast as possible in tandem with sun, whilst simultaneously dishing out as much damage as possible. (good)

Usage Tips
========

Victreebel should act as your primary sun cleaner; try to save it towards the near end of the game for optimal sweeping potential (eh, it can be used anytime during the game, because it's a sun team; Id probably use it to break earlier). Victreebel is incredibly frail, so its recommended you don't bring it in until all/most of its checks are gone or weakened (again, it's sun, it's used to break and sweep as quick as possible; it also has almost no checks due to coverage). Victreebel should almost never be switched in directly. Victreebel also appreciates being brought onto the playing field with as many remaining turns of sun as possible, as a Victreebel outside of sun is highly susceptible to being revenge killed or used as set-up fodder. Try not to switch Victreebel in and out too much, as entry hazard damage stacked with Life Orb damage racks up quick. Victreebel's main goal is the clean up late game by spamming its 3 main attacks (again, it can be used to break early game too).

========

Victreebel is a sitting duck if the sun is not present, so it appreciates suicide-setters such as Regirock and mid-game setters such as Volbeat and Liepard to constantly keep the sun up. Victreebel appreciates its checks being whittled away at before he attempts to sweep. Exeggutor and Magmortar are good partners at chipping away at or removing Pokemon such as Mesprit, Hitmonchan, Muk, and opposing Magmortar for Victreebel. Pokemon that benefit from having Victreebel on their team include Leafeon, Shiftry, and Exeggutor, appreciating Victreebel's ability to remove Steel-types and other sun checks with Weather Ball. (sun teams also appreciate victreebel because it's able to absorb toxic spikes for the rest of the team)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Sunny Day can replace Growth or Sleep Powder in the fourth moveslot to help itself sweep, but they are usually more effective on teammates such as Regirock, Volbeat or Liepard. Grassinium-Z or Posionium-Z could be used as a one-time nuke, but Victreebel is fairly weak without a Life Orb, and generally prefers to more consistent damage output. A Timid nature can be utilized, but without a Modest nature, Victreebel suffers from a significant power drop, missing out on a potential 2HKO for Audino and the near guaranteed 2HKO for AV Hitmonchan.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Lack of Sun**: With no sun, Victreebel cannot effectively make use of Solar Beam or Weather Ball. Futhermore, Victreebel becomes outsped by an overwhelming majority of the tier, leaving it wide open to getting attacked. Furthermore, Pokemon with Snow Warning and Sandstream such as Abomasnow and Hippopotas can get rid of Victreebel's sun and potentially check it in return.

**Priority Moves**: Victreebel's frailty leaves it susceptible to priority moves from Pokemon such as Kangaskhan and Lycanroc-Midday when weakened. Victreebel also is severely dented by a super-effective Ice Shard from Piloswine and Abomasnow (fake out is also able to stall out sun turns)

**Specially Bulky Attackers**: Pokemon such as Mesprit, Muk, Magmortar, and Regice can take a hit and OHKO Victreebel back. The latter two must be wary of Stealth Rock however, as too many switch-ins can prevent them from sufficiently checking Victreebel. Specially defensive walls such as Audino and Altaria must also be taken into account.

**Sap Sipper Pokemon**: Sap Sipper Drampa and AV Bouffalant are immune to Solar Beam and are not 2HKO'd by either Sludge Bomb nor Weather Ball (I think you meant to say aren't ohko'd by sludge, because drampa is 2hko'd). In return, Victreebel is OHKO'd by their STAB moves.

**Faster Choice Scarf Users**: Threats such as Choice Scarf Raichu-Alola and Pyroar both outspeed and threaten to OHKO Victreebel with a STAB Psyshock and Fire Blast, respectfully
Nice analysis and good job! 3/3 QC
