These are weird pre-DLC1 EVs that can probably be improved, but this is what moderate special bulk does to an mf.

252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Hoopa-Unbound: 106-126 (29.2 - 34.7%) -- 6.8% chance to 3HKO

With the given EV spread, this is a check not a counter. Gholdengo can Nasty Plot as you switch in, and the combination of a +2 Make It Rain and a +1 Make It Rain will finish you off before you can use a second attack.
To make it just barely count as a counter, you need 252 HP / 252 SpD; in the scenario above with two max rolls on Make It Rain, you would survive with 1 HP remaining.

Skeledirge is a check. It needs to Tera to avoid the 2HKO from Shadow Ball, but once that particular hurdle is cleared, you don't have much to worry about aside from lucky Sp. Def drops or the rare Thunderbolt, since Unaware ignores any Nasty Plot boosts. In return, Skeledirge can begin snowballing with Torch Song. If Gholdengo doesn't end up Terastalizing itself, even an unboosted Torch Song will 2HKO.

+2 252 SpA Gholdengo Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 168+ SpD Assault Vest Goodra-Hisui: 102-120 (28 - 33%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

But if you land the first Fire Blast, you can finish Dengo off next turn. If they didn't tera, a second Fire Blast can KO whether they do or not. EQ out-damages recover with perfect accuracy. If they do tera at any point, Heavy Slam will do over 90%.

Assault vest araquanid is BULKY on the special side, as even at +6, ghold can't even ohko it with shadow ball.
+6 252 SpA Gholdengo Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Assault Vest Araquanid: 253-298 (74.4 - 87.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Yeah, and araquanid can counter ghold in many ways. Liquidation just does great damage to ghold, as it outdamages recover damage by a decent amount. Skitter smack reduces the target's sp.Attack whenever it connects, so Ghold will be doing less damage and araquanid can survive some hits it usually wouldn't. Crunch just is a good move to hit ghold for super effective damage, though it actually does less than liquidation. Finally, mirror coat allows araquanid to guarentee the ko on ghold if it can't take two hits from it, as the sheer damage it does means that most likely ghold will be ko'd in return. Tera dark also allows the spider to live more shadow balls if necessary while boosting the power of crunch.

Congratulations, your sets will be added to the Hall of Fame shortly! Next, we'll be looking to answer one of the tier's newest additions, a terrifying spectre that haunts the dreams of Psychic- and Ghost-types alike; what will you choose to handle Darkrai?

:sv/Darkrai:
Darkrai @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
Tera Type: Poison
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Nasty Plot

Despite losing perhaps its most terrifying option in Hypnosis, Life Orb Darkrai remains a terrifying threat in the Indigo Disk metagame, with near-perfect coverage bolstering its already high power to rip apart targets unable to withstand its assault. Focus Blast hits Dark-types like Ting-Lu and Kingambit that would otherwise be able to stomach its attacks, while Sludge Bomb targets Fairy-types like Primarina and Clefable along with flipping its weaknesses to Fairy- and Fighting-type attacks. Nasty Plot can allow Darkrai to power through bulkier Pokemon that would be able to stomach a hit and threaten it back, leveraging its high Speed and ability to force switches to turn it into a terrifying sweeper. Can you save OU from this nightmare?

Ability: Toxic Chain
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drain Punch
- High Horsepower
- Toxic
- Poison Jab
Okidogi can resist every single move that darkrai has on this set and threaten it back with a drain punch, or a high horserpower if it tera's. Toxic allows okidogi to reliably get something off on darkrai unless it tera poison's on that exact turn, while posion jab is just good stab. However, at +2, dark pulse can 2hit ko okidogi, so it does have to be careful.
+2 252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 240 SpD Okidogi: 153-182 (48.2 - 57.4%) -- 48.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
The ev's are max attack to deal as much damage as possible, the jolly and speed ev's allows okidogi to outspeed jolly gambit and the rest go into special defense to live as many hits as possible. Tera ground boosts up high horsepower's damage as it sadly doesn't ko from full.

8 Atk Clodsire Megahorn vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Darkrai: 150-178 (53.3 - 63.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Yeah, clodsire gets megahorn, who would've thunk (probably due to the protuding poison spikes it has on its back when attacking in-game).
This clodsire set can deal massive damage to darkrai while not taking much in return, as dark pulse does max 32% back to it. This allows clodsire to get off an amnesia and recover almost all of the time. Then it can threaten darkrai back with a megahorn as clodsire has enough longevity and raw bulk to afford the misses from megahorn. If darkrai tries to tera poison to avoid being ko'd by megahorn, then e-quake is going to finish the job off even quicker.
Ev spread is standard and the tera types are customisable, you can choose more than the ones provided. Tera bug allows megahorn to deal even more damage, which is just funny, while tera fairy resists both dark pulse and focus blast allowing you to get off an amnesia before they can hit a sludge bomb.
