Ability: Poison Puppeteer
EVs: 252 HP / 204 SpA / 28 SpD / 28 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
- Malignant Chain
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Nasty Plot

Simply click Nasty Plot once, then spam Malignant Chain/Shadow Ball depending on if Primarina teras. +2 Pecha out speeds and 2HKOs even after a Calm Mind. EV spread is to deal with a degenerate case where a well-timed tera could enable Primarina to win ~2% of the time while still outspeeding Jolly Kingambit and uninvested Lando-t.

+2 204+ SpA Pecharunt Malignant Chain vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Primarina: 458-542 (125.8 - 148.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 204+ SpA Pecharunt Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Tera Ghost Primarina: 368-434 (101 - 119.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Liquid Voice Tera Ghost Primarina Psychic Noise vs. 252 HP / 28 SpD Pecharunt: 106-126 (27.8 - 33.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

+2 204+ SpA Pecharunt Malignant Chain vs. +1 252 HP / 8 SpD Primarina: 306-362 (84 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 204+ SpA Pecharunt Shadow Ball vs. +1 252 HP / 8 SpD Tera Ghost Primarina: 246-290 (67.5 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 204+ SpA Pecharunt Malignant Chain vs. +1 252 HP / 8 SpD Tera Ghost Primarina: 76-90 (20.8 - 24.7%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 0 SpA Liquid Voice Tera Ghost Primarina Psychic Noise vs. 252 HP / 28 SpD Pecharunt: 160-189 (42.1 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

(note that getting here requires Primarina to have taken a Malignant Chain at only +1 SpD, making the 2HKO guaranteed)
+2 204+ SpA Pecharunt Shadow Ball vs. +2 252 HP / 8 SpD Tera Ghost Primarina: 186-218 (51 - 59.8%) -- 86.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 0 SpA Liquid Voice Tera Ghost Primarina Psychic Noise vs. 252 HP / 28 SpD Pecharunt: 211-250 (55.5 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Spoiler alert: It did not go up tonight. My bad. Anyways, here's the Victim of the Week.

They say you need to be ruthless to make money and climb up the corporate ladder. That’s certainly seen with Nasty Plot Gholdengo!

:sv/gholdengo:
Gholdengo @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Make It Rain
- Recover

Gholdengo returns from week 1, this time wielding terrible thoughts rather than a fashionable scarf. Nasty Plot makes it a near-unwallable wallbreaker, ripping through defensive teams thanks to Good as Gold + Recover keeping it constantly healthy. Tera Fairy lets Gholdengo flip the script on Kingambit trying to Sucker Punch and remove it. How will you deal with this threat?

You may submit up to 1 check and 1 counter.
Submissions close Sunday, March 9th.

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower/Fiery Dance
- Giga Drain
- Tera Blast/Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance
Pretty standard Volcarona set. Volc outspeeds Gholdengo and you just spam your fire STAB and do a lot of damage. Flamethrower always OHKOs and Fiery Dance has a 50% chance to do that. Flamethrower is always a 2HKO if the Gholdengo terastalizes.
252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gholdengo: 326-386 (103.4 - 122.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tera Fairy Gholdengo: 163-193 (51.7 - 61.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Kingambit @ Leftovers
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

Kingambit resists both of Gholdengo's attacks and has enough bulk to avoid the 2HKO. Kowtow Cleave will OHKO if Gholdengo doesn't tera, and Iron Head will finish it off if it does.

+2 252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 212 HP / 0 SpD Kingambit: 228-269 (57.8 - 68.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Similar to Kingambit, Samurott-Hisui resists both of Gholdengo's attacks and can avoid the 2HKO and 2HKO in return. Unlike Kingambit, Samurott has the speed advantage, allowing it to counter Gholdengo instead of just checking it.

+2 252 SpA Tera Fairy Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Samurott-Hisui: 189-222 (58.6 - 68.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 40 Def / 84 SpA / 92 Spe
Tera Type: Poison
Lonely Nature
- Knock Off
- Psychic
- Drain Punch
- Gunk Shot

These are weird pre-DLC1 EVs that can probably be improved, but this is what moderate special bulk does to an mf.

252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Hoopa-Unbound: 106-126 (29.2 - 34.7%) -- 6.8% chance to 3HKO

This is the sexy new Clodsire set that all the hot people are using. If their air balloon isn't popped then you can't really touch them, but they kinda bounce off you too, and you have MUCH more pp. If the air balloon is popped, or if they (stupidly, stupidly) tera, then you win pretty handily.

252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Clodsire: 144-171 (31.1 - 36.9%) -- 74.9% chance to 3HKO

Iron Moth @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Dazzling Gleam
- Substitute

The standard boots set, commonly seen in UU, but plenty usable in OU. This set forces Gholdengo into the most awkward 50/50 ever for them, but it's much more in your favor than they would think, because as long as you can get in for free, you win. You'll always be clicking Fiery Dance initially, if they don't have Tera or mind-game themselves they're likely to just get OHKO'd on the spot. If they Tera they dodge the OHKO, but they can never OHKO you back, even at +2, meaning they simply drop to the Sludge Wave on the following turn(or Fiery Dance if they don't Tera and survive the initial Fiery Dance).

+2 252 SpA Gholdengo Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Iron Moth: 244-288 (81 - 95.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Iron Moth Fiery Dance vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gholdengo: 300-354 (95.2 - 112.3%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Iron Moth Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tera Fairy Gholdengo: 356-420 (113 - 133.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
