Metagame SM Ubers Sets Discussion

Status
Not open for further replies.
With SM well on its way to being fully playable on Showdown I feel it's a good time to start a thread dedicated to discussing sets, as the Showdown teambuilder supports the vast majority of Ubers related mons.

This thread will be used to discuss VIABLE and maybe anti-meta sets - this is not a replica of the creative/underrated sets thread we have for ORAS Ubers, as this is intended to be used to help users quickly catch up and get an eye on what is currently picking up steam in the SM Ubers metagame, and find what sets are viable/standard for Pokemon they are not too sure of.

Discussion of the sets posted by users is encouraged to perhaps get better optimization, or offer insight on other improvements like a different spread or move. Post away!

I've been playing a few SM games on the ladder and what not, guess I'll post a few sets that i've found really effective

Xerneas @ Fairium Z
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 200 Def / 24 SpA / 36 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Sun / Moon bought another way to cheese the opponent with Xerneas, this is actually quite effective when pulled off, though it might seem like a gimmick on paper, I urge people to at least give it a chance. Z Geomancy actually gives Xerneas really good physical bulk, making it harder for Priority users to knock it out, coupled with the traditional Rest Talk Geomancy set from ORAS. +3 SPA is very threatening, I slotted 24 Evs into Spa so Xerneas OHKOs Mega Gengar after Stealth Rock at +3.

Arceus-Dark @ Dread Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Refresh / Will-O-Wisp

this isnt a new set by any means, but something I can see rising back into the higher viability ranks in due course, Dark Arceus is a effective Calm Mind sweeper, refresh makes it a effective stall breaker and Dark types in particular seem very potent in Sun and Moon, one of the best Yveltal checks in the tier currently. One can opt for Will-o-Wisp if they wish to help shut down physical threats. Dark Arceus can help deal with the common ghost types like Mega Gengar and Lunala that are running around a lot, Solgaleo to take care of Xerneas / other fairies, providing good synergy, and makes a fantastic partner as Dark Arceus covers it's threats.

Yveltal @ Choice Band
Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Foul Play
- U-turn

Another set that returns from ORAS which is extremely potent in Sun and moon. Yveltal looks like a potential top metagame threat, with similar reasons to above, Banded Knock off does nuts damage and the boon dark types have against prankster, means it can directly tackle Klefki, one may opt for jolly to outspeed Max speed Rayquaza, Solgaleo and Lunala which are quite rare, though Adamant is most optimal nature for the power output.

Lunala @ Spooky Plate
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moongeist Beam
- Focus Blast / Psyshock
- Roost / Substitute

Im actually really happy with how Lunala turned out, this is a set I have been using, Lunala gets a good speed tier for a breaker, stall teams dont really have much of an answer for this, 137 Special attack Moongeist beam backed by Spooky Plate does insane amounts of damage, out damaging the classic CM Ghost Arceus, However unlike Ghost Arceus, it is completely able to bypass a 100% lugia which is beautiful to see. Substitute over roost is a interesting tech to try if you're into that kind of stuff, though I prefer roost because of Shadow Shield.

Im planning to explore Zygarde-Complete more, I've been messing around with it here and there and I'll post a set for it soon hopefully.

Definitally more anti-meta than anything, but this is something I've found to be really solid

Solgaleo @ Expert Belt
Ability: Full Metal Body
EVs: 80 HP / 200 Atk / 120 Def / 108 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sunsteel Strike
- Morning Sun
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

200+ Atk Expert Belt Solgaleo Sunsteel Strike vs. 184 HP / 28 Def Xerneas: 439-518 (100 - 117.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
200+ Atk Expert Belt Solgaleo Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Primal Groudon: 192-228 (47.5 - 56.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
200+ Atk Expert Belt Solgaleo Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Ho-Oh: 634-749 (152.7 - 180.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
200+ Atk Expert Belt Solgaleo Stone Edge vs. 80 HP / 0 Def Mega Salamence: 230-274 (65.5 - 78%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Solgaleo: 288-342 (66.2 - 78.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and 1 layer of Spikes
0 Atk Primal Groudon Precipice Blades vs. 80 HP / 120 Def Solgaleo: 366-432 (84.1 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Focus Blast vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Solgaleo: 318-375 (73.1 - 86.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252+ Atk Mega Salamence Earthquake vs. 80 HP / 120 Def Solgaleo: 328-388 (75.4 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Life Orb Deoxys-A Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 80 HP / 120 Def Solgaleo: 296-351 (68 - 80.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

It looks weird, but a boosting item is needed to KO Xerneas, and Expert Belt lets it also hit PDon on the switch while not chipping at its HP. Life Orb might be better for the 2HKO on Arceus and OHKO on MMence after stealth rock, but I'm still in the process of testing it.

Zygarde @ Leftovers
Ability: Power Construct
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Dragon Tail
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

This thing is basically unkillable from the physical side. I'll let the calcs speak for themselves:

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 203-239 (31.9 - 37.5%) -- 0% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 264-312 (41.5 - 49%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Ho-Oh Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 204-240 (32 - 37.7%) -- 0.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Primal Groudon Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 174-205 (27.3 - 32.2%) -- 57.8% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Primal Groudon Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 136-162 (21.3 - 25.4%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
+3 252+ Atk Solgaleo Sunsteel Strike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 294-346 (46.2 - 54.4%) -- 6.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

You can tank pretty much anything physical and phaze it out, making Zygarde-Complete an excellent shuffler with hazards support. Regular Zygarde is burly enough to where transforming in practice isn't too difficult. Thousand Arrows is to hit Ground weak mons mostly, though it also smacks Ho-Oh which allows Zygarde-Complete to actually check it well. Appreciates partners that can tank Fairy and Ice moves.

Some other options include Glare and Toxic for that last moveslot if you don't want or need Sleep Talk. Coil might be able to sweep a team late-game when Xerneas and Ice Beamers are out of the way.

Toxapex @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes / toxic
- Haze
- Ice Beam
- Recover

Bulky and fun to use. Pretty good cm arc check and xern check. Also can tank a shit ton of things and then just haze if you are in trouble. It's hard to wear down because of regen and tspikes kinda suck cause mgar is so common but it can still be useful.

Palkia @ Psychium Z
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spacial Rend
- Hydro Pump
- Fire Blast
- Heal Block

A set I've made for a balance team. With Primal Kyogre seemingly gaining more viability/popularity and new stuff like Solgaleo running around Palkia fits into some teams again as a secondary water resist and gains other defensive properties, something it didn't have in ORAS. Palkia's issue was never being bad offensively, it was justifiying its use. +2 SpA makes it a real wallbreaker now. Z-Heal Block gives the +2 SpA and really annoys support Arceus formes and Lunala even if you dont Z-Move it. Modest is used for the extra power as this set has no Life Orb or Lustrous, and theres no competition around the 100 speed tier atm - Latis are dead which is huge for Palkia, and there's no need to worry about Mega Diancie either as its unreleased so Timid isn't really necessary. +Speed 90s are pretty rare as well.

Make Palkia Great Again

Foggi

Solgaleo @ Iron Plate
Ability: Full Metal Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sunsteel Strike
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Morning Sun/Stone Edge

you can run more defensive spread on it but i didnt bother calcing one because this one works solid for me, basically offensive xerneas check and a way to get toxic on mons like Pdon, Supportceus and Pogre i guess? it also walls all passive mons that rely on toxic for example lugia so yeah overall a cool set wich works really nice if paired with Hex Gar. May edit the post and add some sets later

EDIT: Couple more sets that work pretty well in current sm meta

Arceus-Fairy @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Earth Power
- Calm Mind/Stone edge
- Recover

With all that yveltal spam and the lack of diancie and klefki fairyceus becomes really good on yveltal weak teams, you can either run the good old Recover 3 Atks Set or just CM Recover 2 attacks but i recommend you having a solid ho oh anserw (for example Bulky Salamence) if you wanna run the second one.

Tapu Lele @ Terrain Extender
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Nature's Madness
- Moonblast
- Psychic

The most fun thing to use in this gen imo, pair it with deo-a and LO mewtwo or cm Psyceus and it destroys everything thanks to that amazing abillity wich boosts all psychic attacks and stops any priority moves.

Lunala @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moongeist Beam
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock

A decent set that I have used to check pokemon commonly used in hyper offensive archetypes. A scarf set is viable due to it having more than decent special attack and good speed tier, being faster than base 95 speed pokemon such as Rayquaza and Groudon. Not to mention that the metagame is becoming slightly faster with new pokemon like Pheromosa and Kartana being introduced. It is especially useful in checking Ekiller and Deoxys-A with its Ghost-typing being immune to Extremespeed, not to mention being able to revenge-kill both new mons Solgaleo and Lunala itself after Stealth Rock. Try not to allow opposing Xerneas to come in on it as Xerneas can set up Geomancy on it rather easily.

252+ SpA Lunala Moongeist Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Solgaleo: 410-486 (98.7 - 117.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Yveltal @
| Ability: Dark Aura
Naive Nature | EVs: 32 HP / 4 Def / 232 SpA / 240 Spe
Dark Pulse
Oblivion Wing
Sucker Punch
Knock Off / Heat Wave

In my opinion Yveltal is gonna be amazing in this gen, the set Life Orb works awesome making offensive pressure especially versus slow teams. This is my personal spread although I'm not that good fixing EVs... Anyway, its EVs on HP and Defense allows Yveltal to survive Extreme from E-Killer and I gave 240 Speed allowing Ygod to outrun Lunala and Solgaleo so you won't have to worry for those 50/50 versus Lunala who learns Moonblast.

Arceus @
| Ability: Multitype

Adamant Nature | EVs: 192 HP / 252 Atk / 64 Spe
• Swords Dance
Extreme Speed

Shadow Claw
• Brick Break

Ghostium Z on Arceus, I've tested this heat a bit and I liked it pretty much. The Z-Move, Never-Ending Nightmare, is mainly used for getting KOs on things like, Salamence, Primal Groudon and even Sableye, it has a 190 BP before STAB (I guess), and it just hits insanely hard! ( shoutouts xJoelituh )

Lunala @
|
Ability: Shadow Shield

Timid Nature | EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
• Moongeist Beam
• Psyshock
• Moonblast
• Focus Blast

Spooky Plate as a bluff of Choice Specs! Moongeist Beam hits pretty hard and it can works very well vs opposiing Ekiller as most of them can SD infront of it so you can do Focus Blast and procede to kill it.

STALL MOVESETS

Magearna @ Leftovers
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heart Swap
- Thunder Wave
- Fleur Cannon
- Pain Split

This set was a creation of WreckDra, fun to use and useful on "STALL", this thing destroy Arceus-Dark, Xerneas Boost and Dark Types, The spread given is for make this bulky enough to stall dark type and xerneas, Fleur Cannon is the STAB, Arceus Dark can destroy this, but needs to be the Whirpool + Perish Song set.

Arceus-Ground @ Earth Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 124 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Judgment
- Recover
- Defog

This set is Old, but with this new gen and the incorporation of Solgaleo and other steel types, Arceus-Ground have use again, I use this set on stall with Magearna / Sableye Mega / Tyranitar / Blissey / Primal Groudon, a good thing now is Gengar dont have anymore Levitate, so u can hit it safely, Toxic is for destroy Multiscale from Lugia, Shadow Shield from Lunala, and opposing Arceus-Formes, Defog for cleaning.

HYPER OFFENSE MOVESETS
I ve been laddering today and I found interesting things to use, some strategy are old but now they work, at least, work for me

Shuckle @ Mental Herb
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sticky Web
- Encore
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

This thing dont die, and its very useful now, I played the ladder and noticed most of the ubers teams now, have a big weakness to Sticky Web, SPECIALLY PSYCHIC SPAM HO, Because webs lowers the opponent speed, and thats very useful for Pokemons like Solgaleo Choice Band, Primal Groudon Eruption, Lunala Choie Specs / Life Orb, and sweepers, A big weakness to this is Hypnosis Gengar, but thats the only thing that destroyed this strategy at the moment, I want share my ladder team too, peaked 19-1 without difficult ( thnx Haruno for stop me ;-;)

Shuckle @ Mental Herb

Solgaleo @ Normalium Z

Lunala @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Focus Blast
- Moongeist Beam
- Psyshock
- Moonblast / Shadow Ball

Well, this thing is not the best set, is All-out-Attacking, but i found it good because with Webs, Lunala Specs can sweep and destroy teams, can do a brainless pain to the opponent if he dont play safe agaisn't this, Focus Blast hits Tyranitar / Steel types, Psyshock for Blissey, Moonblast for some Dragon and Dark Types and Moongeist Beam is the STAB, u can run shadow ball in case that u run out Moongeist Beam PP's.

Solgaleo @ Choice Band
Ability: Full Metal Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sunsteel Strike
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Wild Charge

Solgaleo is really powerful, for me Solgaleo will be TOP Ubers, balanced stats, High Attack and not bad Defenses, good movepool, I love it, Choice Band Adamant unleash all the power, Sunsteel Strike is the STAB and hits hard almost all Ubers (fck Primals) Earthquake take down Primal Groudon without HP Investiment but unfortunatly its a 2HKO, hits hard Dialga, Excadrill, Stone Edge KO' Ho-Oh, Yveltal and Wild Charge was to hit hard Primal Kyogre, but can be used Meteor Mash.

Solgaleo @ Expert Belt / Iron Plate / Leftovers
Ability: Full Metal Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sunsteel Strike
- Substitute
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

I noticed no one is using Substitute Solgaleo, and that make me sad a bit, because Substitute can be used predicting Sucker Punch Yveltal, Will-o-Wisp from Sableye-Mega, or Arceus Support, Expert Belt to make big damage, can be used Iron Plate too if u want boost Sunsteel Strike, Earthquake hits Primal Groudon, and Stone Edge for birds.

I ve seen another core, that destroyed me easy when The Trap God used it agaisn't me, and I feel that players needs to know it, well its been used a lot but I'll post it anyways.

+
+

How to use it is easy, I said this core have nightmares with sticky web, but Gengar Hex Hypnosis totally wrecks Shuckle if it Hit Hypnosis, Tapu Lele sets Psychic Terrain nullyfing Priority moves, and Deoxys Attack Focus Sash with Nasty Plot, u need full health deoxys-attack, to do Nasty Plot and win, Psychic at +2 KO Ho-Oh, under psychic terrain.

I know Marshadow isn't released yet, but I've already come up with some sets to use, so I thought I might as well post them.

Marshadow
/
/

Ability: Technician
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Nature: Jolly
Shadow Sneak

Close Combat

Spectral Thief

Pursuit
-
Substitute

216 speed is to outspeed jolly max speed arceus forms like ekiller, ghostceus, and a possible max speed darkceus.
Shadow Sneak obv some powerful stab prio + boosted by technician.
Close combat and Spectral thief as its hard hitting stab moves.
Pursuit to potentially trap a Deo-a or Mgar as they switch out fearing the sneak.
Substitute if you're not running AV, and about you're about that life.
Ghostium/Fightium Z can be used over Assault Vest to KO/2HKO certain pokemon like Solgaleo.
AV allows you to switch into unboosted Arceus-Dark at least once, and lets you take any one hit from Mega Gengar.
Keep in mind, these calcs are without rocks up:

Arceus-Dark
With AV
0 SpA Dread Plate Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. 40 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Marshadow: 109-130 (32.9 - 39.2%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO
Without AV
0 SpA Dread Plate Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. 40 HP / 4 SpD Marshadow: 165-195 (49.8 - 58.9%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO

Mega Gengar
With AV
252 SpA Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 40 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Marshadow: 192-228 (58 - 68.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Gengar Hex (65 BP) vs. 40 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Marshadow: 156-186 (47.1 - 56.1%) -- 76.6% chance to 2HKO

Without AV
252 SpA Gengar Hex (65 BP) vs. 40 HP / 4 SpD Marshadow: 234-276 (70.6 - 83.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 40 HP / 4 SpD Marshadow: 288-338 (87 - 102.1%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

Another Marshadow set:

Nature: Jolly (if not running HP Ice) / Naive / hasty

EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe;
252 ATK/ 4 Def / 252 Spe (to get that clutch speed tie with rash deo A under psychic terrain);
or 252 ATK / 40 SpA / 216 Spe (if running HP Ice)
A note on EVs, and IV of 29 and 0 EVs in HP is necessary in order to minimize life orb recoil, correct me if I am wrong.

Item: life orb / leftovers

Moves:
Spectral thief
Close combat
Shadow sneak
Will - o - wisp / hidden power ice

Spectral thief and close combat serve as the obligatory stab moves of choice, as the combination is the strongest available and allows Marshadow to beat any Swords Dance Arceus forme. Shadow sneak provides useful priority, with the added bonus of being technician boosted.

What differentiates this set from Lucos's above is that this set allows marshadow to more effectively deal with physical attackers that can comfortably tank any hit Marshadow can throw and OHKO it back unboosted, most notably Mega Salamence, but also including Solgaleo, Landorus - T and other physical attackers not behind a substitute or running refresh. Will - o - wisp can be used to cripple any such Pokemon for the rest of the game. Should Salamence be running refresh, the turn wated healing the burn can be used to your advantage. This does run the risk of powering up a potential Facade on Mega Salamence however, which must be kept in mind. Alternatively, hidden power ice can be used to heavily dent or even OHKO Mega Salamence and Landorus -T. HP ice is chosen over ice punch as it gains a technician bonus, and acts as a workaround to intimidate and their physical bulk that would otherwise be a challenge for Marshadow to overcome. Life orb allows Close Combat to OHKO any variant of extreme killer Arceus if I recall correctly, and powers up an otherwise fairly weak hidden power ice. While leftovers sacrifices power, it enables a Marshadow to become a more functional burn spreader, as unless you predict the switch and burn the Pokemon, Marshadow will be taking a hit after burning the foe, and Marshadow lacks recovery. Leftovers mitigates this to an extent, but life orb is generally preferred, as Marshadow will not be taking many hits anyway, and it loses the important Close Combat OHKO on extreme killer Arceus without stealth rock. Do note that because of hyper training, it is possible to have perfect 6IVs and hidden power ice, so the speed EV need not exceed 216, in any case, to outspeed fully invested positive natured base 120 pokemon, such as arceus.

Calculations:

252 Atk Life Orb Blaziken (Marshadow) Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 424-502 (110.9 - 131.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO (guaranteed OHKO up to above 172 HP EVs)

40 SpA Life Orb Technician Mega Scizor (Marshadow) Hidden Power Ice vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Mega Salamence: 354-421 (100.8 - 119.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

40 SpA Life Orb Technician Mega Scizor (Marshadow) Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 390-463 (122.2 - 145.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I cannot wait to use this Pokemon, and it's a real shame we cannot use it because it's not released (obviously).

Will-o-wisp is an innovative idea that helps deal with some physical threats like the by you mentioned Solgaleo and Landorus-therian, but I disagree with Mega Salamence, as you seem to have forgotten that 99% of the mences run Facade.

Thank you for your opinion, I appreciate it. I amended the post to mention facade Mence, but I wouldn't go so far as to say 99% of Mences run it.

4 SpA -Nature Marshadow OHKO's max HP mmence with a life orb fyi.
4- SpA Life Orb Technician Mega Scizor Hidden Power Ice vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Salamence: 406-478 (103.3 - 121.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
The reason for running WoW on marshadow is probably only gonna be the crippling of any physical arceus form ( which is amazing, make no mistake)
Spectral Thief allows it to deal with any special cm version to an extent. Especially if it runs a special coverage move, like focus blast(albeit unlikely to happen)

The important benchmark is not KO'ing ho-oh, but rather ohko'ing solgaleo is the benchmark thats is to be hit, which requires running Dark Pulse, so the moveset would have to look like:
-Nasty Plot
-Psychic
-Dark Pulse
-Ice Beam (which does ohko any form of yveltal bar 252HP/100SpD+ AV sets)

Thanks for doing the calculation for me, that's one less thing I have to do when I get home. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think spectral thief takes Special Attack bonuses, or benefits from them, as it is a physical attack and thus runs off physical attack boosts. Also:
4- SpA Life Orb Technician Mega Scizor Hidden Power Ice vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Mega Salamence: 307-364 (87.4 - 103.7%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

Also;

Okay, I wasn't going to say anymore on this topic to prevent flooding this thread, but when someone makes a stupid remark directed at me I feel obliged to respond.
I think it was pretty clear that I was referring to the wow variant that majora posted, but in case you couldn't understand this by reading, you should make an appointment with an ophthalmologist.
Still, for some reason you seem to think that Marshadow has some special ability, allowing it to run 5 moves instead of 4, otherwise I don't see how it can run wow, hp ice + the 3 mandatory moves.

Oh and btw, I don't know what's wrong with your calc, but both of your calculations were dead wrong.
4- SpA Life Orb Technician Marshadow Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Salamence: 338-400 (85.7 - 101.5%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
Where I'm from that's called a small chance to OHKO, not a guarantueed one.

Also, I don't see what hp ice Mega Scizor calcs have anything to do with this whatsoever.
I don't see a reason to run it either, as you would have to drop other, clearly more viable options than the by you mentioned gimmick.

Apart from this I wanted to mention that it might be worth running Drain Punch Marshadow if you want to run Life orb.

I don't see the point of Wisp, if the SD Arceus are the same as last gen you beat Arc-Ghost and Ekiller regardless, it's really only useful for Groundceus but like I'd rather stop Mence setting up on me. If Groundceus sets up on me or is already set up I can just use Spectral Thief so not really seeing the point of that tbh. I don't really see the point of AV either, I'd rather maximise my damage output with Life Orb(btw Drain Punch fails to OHKO Ekiller so that's not even an option). Living random hits from Gengar isn't really relevant when you obviously can't switch into a Gengar and you OHKO it with Sneak regardless, it's only practical in the case it gets up a sub before killing your other mon but that's not worth the tradeoff of AV imo. Also please run max Speed, what's the point of 40 arbitrary HP EVs when you could run max and at worst tie with other Marshadow using Sneak, I think it's worth more in the long run. The Scizor calcs are obviously just using it as a reference point for Marshadow cos it's not on the calc yet, don't be so pedantic.

The Deo-A / Tapu Lele combination sounds fire on paper but the sceptic in me doubts it's prowess in practice, at least from a teambuilding standpoint. That said a Deoxys-A that can't be revenged by priority does sound absolutely terrifying...

I've been using this set currently in the ladder and received some decent results. Z-celebrate gives a +1 boost to every stat which is just insane. The disadvantage is that you can't run regenerator since it's and event only move

Ho-Oh @ Normalium Z
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Sacred Fire
- Earthquake

Banned deucer.

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Recover
- Haze

A nice new toy for stall teams to abuse, Toxapex is really incredible as a great mixed defensive pivot. The Water/Poison typing allows it to check Fire, Fairy, and Fighting types really well which means it could take on a majority of the metas greatest wallbreakers. It also has utility with setting up Toxic Spikes which is really nice for Stall (especially the Rest Coil Zygarde stall variants) and Haze which lets it stop setup sweepers such as Xerneas and Lunala in their tracks. Here are some calcs to showcase its impressive bulk:

+3 252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Toxapex: 172-203 (56.5 - 66.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
136+ Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 120 Def Toxapex: 180-213 (59.2 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Toxapex: 94-111 (30.9 - 36.5%) -- 62.8% chance to 3HKO
252+ Atk Ho-Oh Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 120 Def Toxapex: 138-163 (45.3 - 53.6%) -- 40.2% chance to 2HKO

Really nice addition to SuMo Stall, Substitute Calm Mind Lunala is still a problem for it unless you wanna run Z Purify Baton Pass Unaware Pyukumuku lol

Also HypnoGar and DeoLele are both so stupid rn....

Also wanted to add another cool core:

+
+ Any setup sweeper/hard hitter really (ie:
,
,
,
)

So this might look like a meme but Baton Passing Evoboosts is actually pretty insane. With Screens and Memento support from Uxie, Eevee actually ahs the chance to setup and pass those insane stat boosts to any of these powerful sweepers and just win games easily. You can even opt for Stored Power Espeon to block phazers and to hit incredibly hard. I urge you guys to try this out before saying its stupid cause its honestly not that bad.

Uxie @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Def / 220 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
- Memento

Eevee @ Eevium Z
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Last Resort
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Substitute

This is basically an experimental AV Yveltal set that I made to be able to come in on Lunala fairly easily:

Yveltal @ Assault Vest
Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 132 HP / 212 SpA / 164 SpD
Modest Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Oblivion Wing
- Sucker Punch
- Heat Wave

I'm still working on the kinks of this set, but this is what I have for now. 132 HP is to help you survive an Adamant Mega Salamence's Frustration/Return after stealth rocks while the HP coupled with the SpDef investment turns Modest Life Orb Lunala's Moonblast in to a 3HKO given that rocks are off the field, which is easily doable with an Arceus forme. Pretty fun set that also turns 8 SpA Judgments from the likes of Rockceus in to 3HKOs as well given that rocks are off the field.
