Mantine @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Roost
- Defog
- Haze

Mantine is a Check to CB Durant, resisting three of Durant's moves, including its STABs, and having Roost to heal up to switch into the Ant. However, Mantine is weak to Rocks, meaning it takes a lot of chip damage switching into Durant's moves after SR, and risks being 2HKOed after Rocks by Crunch. Of course Hustle could make Ant miss the Crunch Mantine's way of dealing damage to Durant is through Scald, which luckily 2HKOes Durant because of Ant's bad Special Defense.

252 Atk Choice Band Hustle Durant Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Mantine: 128-151 (34.2 - 40.3%) -- 42.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

And another week has passed, thanks to all who participated!

Vicitim:
Choice Band Durant

Counter:

Gligar by The Bill Cipher
Fully invested, physically defensive Gligar is indeed a counter to CB Durant, as it takes 2 hits of Durant's most effective attack to hit Gligar with, Iron Head, after Stealth Rock and can proceed to heal the damage with Roost. Even though Earthquake only 3HKOes after 1 round of hazard damage, Knock Off further aids Gligar in weakening Durant's attacking prowess, while at the same time reducing the chanches to flinch from Iron Head. However, it should be kept in mind that Defog Gligar is highly susceptible to Toxic from common hazard setters such as Registeel, Rhyperior and Gigalith, which can lessen Gligar's ability to appropriately counter CB Durant.

Checks:

Mantine by Cheryl.
"Mantine is a Check to CB Durant, resisting three of Durant's moves, including its STABs, and having Roost to heal up to switch into the Ant. However, Mantine is weak to Rocks, meaning it takes a lot of chip damage switching into Durant's moves after SR, and risks being 2HKOed after Rocks by Crunch. Of course Hustle could make Ant miss the Crunch Mantine's way of dealing damage to Durant is through Scald, which luckily 2HKOes Durant because of Ant's bad Special Defense."

Moltres by Stan Soojung
Despite the slightly unconventional EV spread, Stan Soojung's Moltres set is a solid check to CB Durant - as long as Stealth Rock is off the field. Unfortunately, Stealth Rock turns both Crunch and Iron Head into an 2HKO. Additionally, the provided set lacks Flame Body, which would improve Moltres capability to check CB Durant. Don't get me wrong, Pressure + Subsitute is a annoyingly effective strategy at burning PP. However, a Subsitute set should preferably carry Toxic over Will-O-Wisp as well as be more invested in Speed. Ultimately, the provided Moltres set does check CB Durant because it still takes X-Scissor and Superpower after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery, while also being able to recover with Roost. It obviously OHKOes back with Flamethrower, too.

Torkoal by HypnoEmpire
Physically defensive Torkoal takes 2 hits of everything CB Durant can throw at it (bar Superpower after Rocks), and easily cooks it OHKOes back with Lava Plume. However, the lack of recovery as well as Torkoals slow nature make it prone to chip damage.

Honorable mention:

Bewear by Lennart
A good offensive check to CB Durant thanks to the amazing Fluffy ability. Takes 2 hits of everything after Rocks except for Superpower, and even takes 1 Superpower after Rocks. As mentioned in the original post, Superpower>Hammer Arm increases Bewear's ability to successfully OHKO the ant without the need of hazards.

Announcement:
From now on, if we deem the explanation of the original submission elaborate enough, we will consider adopting it for the reasoning in the week-concluding post.

The next victim will be ...

CHOICE SPECS DRAGALGE

Dragalge @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Adapatibility turns Dragalge's mediocre 97 base Special Attack into a force to be reckoned with.
With a Choice Specs equipped and powerful attacks like Draco Meteor and Sludge Wave as well as good coverage options at its disposal,
Dragalge can with little effort put a dent in unprepared teams.
How do you deal with Dragalge?

We are looking forward to your submissions! Have fun!

Bronzong is an defensive counter to Dragalge, with the EV spread maximizing it's special defense. Bronzong tanks all of Dragalge's attacks and can set up Stealth Rock or use Earthquake to 2HKO Dragalge. Leftovers also helps a lot by healing Bronzong

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 220 SpD / 40 Spe
Calm Nature
- Moonlight
- Thunder Wave

- Psychic

SpD Cresselia is a Counter to Specs Dragalge, being able to tank any one of it's hits, even Specs Draco, and heal back up with Moonlight. While Draco does 2HKO Cress, Cress outspeeds and Moonlights, as Dragalge is forced out by the Special Attack drop. Cress also hits Drag for hard damage with Psychic, threatening it even more.

Specially defensive Diancie as a check.

Diancie @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Heal Bell

Pretty simple stuff, immune to Draco Meteor and takes nothing from HP Fire. Isn't always 2hko'd by Sludge Wave, but should avoid switching into that. Not a counter as it doesn't exactly have stellar forms of recovery and isn't able to do a whole lot to Dragalge, so you're basically switching into it and wearing it down w/ Diamond Storm. With some prior damage you can 2hko Dragalge with a free switch though.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Adaptability Dragalge Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Diancie: 150-178 (49.3 - 58.5%) -- 63.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragalge Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Diancie: 24-28 (7.8 - 9.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever

0 SpA Diancie Moonblast vs. 204 HP / 0 SpD Dragalge: 85-102 (26.3 - 31.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

0 Atk Diancie Diamond Storm vs. 204 HP / 0 Def Dragalge: 118-139 (36.6 - 43.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 180 SpA / 80 SpD

Assault Vest Slowking can take specs dragalges hits fairly well, and either phaze it out with Dragon Tail or deal massive damage w super-effective stab Future Sight or Psyshock, it can also pivot out to regain health thanks to regen and possibly wearing dragalge down quickly w hazards.
180+ SpA Slowking Future Sight vs. 32 HP / 0 SpD Dragalge: 284-336 (101.7 - 120.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

We got a few submissions this week :(, the winners are:

Checks
teachable's Diancie
Can't do a lot to Dragalge or recover itself but will take with ease any of Dragalge moves but Sludge Wave

Counters
Cheryl.'s Cresselia
"Able to tank any one of it's hits, even Specs Draco, and heal back up with Moonlight. While Draco does 2HKO Cress, Cress outspeeds and Moonlights, as Dragalge is forced out by the Special Attack drop. Cress also hits Drag for hard damage with Psychic, threatening it even more."

The Bill Cipher's Bronzong
Although I don't like Earthquake over Protect or Psywave on Bronzong, it can beat Specs Dragalge with ease, taking hits and using Earthquake for a solid 2HKO

And the next Victim of the Week will be:

Nasty Plot Mismagius
Nasty Plot Mismagius
Mismagius @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 8 Def / 248 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Taunt

Thanks to its Speed tier, 3 immunities and access to Taunt, Mismagius can find a lot of set up opportunities and become a threatening Nasty Plot user, with Dazzling Gleam hitting most of the Ghost resists in the tier and Taunt preventing Toxic, and thanks to Z-Moves Mismagius is even more threatening since it can just use a Never-Ending Nightmare to get past some checks, what are the best checks to NP Mismagius?

Swellow @ Choice Specs
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Air Slash
- Heat Wave
- Boomburst

The Swellow BW sprite is actually :ok_hand: Anyways, despite Swellow frailty it have a rather easy time switching directly into swellow thanks to being a normal type and by that having an immunity to its main wallbreaking move. Boomburst does 87% min which is basically a guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock (unless you are REALLY unlucky). It can even 1v1 it if it gets a safe-switch, even after Stealth Rock since Dazzling Gleam does 59% max.

Sneasel is a Check to Mismagius, outspeeding and putting Mismag into a 50/50 position, as Knock Off easily OHKOes Mismag and if Mismag switches out, there's a chance it will get Pursuit trapped and OHKOed too. Sneasel can live any one unboosted hit from Mismagius too, just in case it stays in as you Pursuit.

Sorry for posting so late, but here I am, the winners this week are:

Checks
Stan Soojung's Meloetta
"Thanks to Meloetta's immunity to mismagius stab ghost attacks and great natural Special Defense, it can take on Missy easily by setting up with calm mind and exploiting it with super-effective coverage in Shadow Ball."

Cheryl.'s Sneasel
Knock Off is always a KO, Pursuit is a 2HKO (OHKO on a switch) and Mismagius needs Rocks to beat Sneasel.

avocado's Sharpedo
Will take even a +2 Never-Ending Nightmare through Protect and can outspeed after a Speed Boost, KOing Missy with a Crunch, revenge killing it easily.

And an honorable mention for
The Bill Cipher's Durant
Faster and will always OHKO Mismagius, can't really switch in and risk missing but...it's Durant, it does a good job at KOing Missy.

Counters
askov's Band Snorlax
"Snorlax can easily switch-in on Mismagius because it doesn't fear his ghost STAB and take little damage from Dazzling Gleam, and can Pursuit trap Mismagius KOing it if it switches out (if the opponent doesn't switch out Snorlax still 2HKO Mismagius with Pursuit)."

Mylo Xyloto's Porygon2

Although Doublade fears the 2HKO from CB Earthquake from Tyrantrum, it can tank Tyrantrum's main attack Head Smash decently well and threaten it with Iron Head, although you need to get a bit of chip damage on Tyrantrum to ensure the KO with Iron Head + Shadow Sneak. Doublade shouldn't be sent on CB Tyrantrum recklessly, because it lacks recovery.
