Defensive Chesnaught as a counter

Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Wood Hammer
- Synthesis
- Spiky Shield

Chesnaught is easily able to switch in against Araquanid due to its bulk and typing, and the only thing it'd hate from dealing with it is being statused from Toxic.

Calcs:

216+ Atk Splash Plate Water Bubble Araquanid Liquidation vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 74-88 (19.5 - 23.2%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

0 Atk Chesnaught Wood Hammer vs. 96 HP / 0 Def Araquanid: 147-174 (48.8 - 57.8%) -- 95.7% chance to 2HKO

0 Atk Chesnaught Wood Hammer vs. 96 HP / 0 Def Araquanid: 147-174 (48.8 - 57.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after 3 layers of Spikes

Kommo-o @ Choice Specs
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Clanging Scales
- Focus Blast
- Flamethrower
- Flash Cannon

Kommo-o is a Check to Araquanid, as it resists and takes Liquidations fairly well with its decent bulk, and is able to deal massive damage to Araquanid with Clanging Scales, cleanly 2HKOing Araquanid. Araq is not able to Toxic stall Kommo-o due to Clanging Scales doing so much to it. However, Kommo-o can be 2HKOed by Liquidation at -1 Defense due to Clanging Scales, so beware of that.

216+ Atk Splash Plate Water Bubble Araquanid Liquidation vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kommo-o: 96-114 (32.9 - 39.1%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO
216+ Atk Splash Plate Water Bubble Araquanid Liquidation vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Kommo-o: 146-174 (50.1 - 59.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kommo-o Clanging Scales vs. 96 HP / 0 SpD Araquanid: 195-229 (64.7 - 76%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Goodra @ Choice Band
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake

- Power Whip

Goodra is a check,as it can come in, tank an Liquidation and kill(or severely damage) Araquinid. It's only a check because Liquidation has a 97.7% chance of 2HKOing(100% after rocks) and Outrage isn't a guaranteed OHKO(it is after rocks). Also, defense drops are annoying

252+ Atk Choice Band Goodra Outrage vs. 96 HP / 0 Def Araquanid: 288-340 (95.6 - 112.9%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
216+ Atk Splash Plate Water Bubble Araquanid Liquidation vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Goodra: 158-186 (49 - 57.7%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO

Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 204 HP / 252 SpA / 52 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave
- Toxic Spikes

Dragalge can easily switch in on any attack due to its typing, and nuke the spider with Z-Draco Meteor. Although Liquidation is only a 3HKO, Dragalge does, however, lack recovery to effectively counter Araquanid.

252+ SpA Adaptability Dragalge Devastating Drake (195 BP) vs. 96 HP / 0 SpD Araquanid: 300-354 (99.6 - 117.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

Jellicent as a Counter

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 84 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald / Hex
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover

Jelli is immune to Araquanids Liquidation and shuts it down with Taunt. Jellicent chips it with Scald or Hex.

I still believe that EV spread isn't the best and should rather be optimized for bulk, but that aside.

Mantine as a counter

Mantine @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Scald
- Roost
- Air Slash

Disregard the spread, meant to outspeed Adamant Bewear n Pangoro, to either chunk with Air Slash or cheese with Scald. I don't know if it's just me, but people just forgot you can run Air Slash on Mantine. I get that Toxic and Haze are also very good options, but my teams need stuff like actually chipping those stupid bears, so I guess that's my justification. Anyway, due to the trapper set's HP investment, Mantine is able to 3HKO Araquanid, thereby outlasting Rest. Araq would need to run more Special Defense investment plus Leftovers in order to succesfully trap Mantine, and that's not even counting fucking flinching.

0 SpA Mantine Air Slash vs. 96 HP / 0 SpD Araquanid: 108-128 (35.8 - 42.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Mantine Air Slash vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Araquanid: 80-96 (23.5 - 28.2%) -- 82.8% chance to 4HKO

Toxicroak as a counter

Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Sucker Punch
- Drain Punch
- Swords Dance

Thanks to Dry Skin and Toxicroak's poison type which imunise it to Liquidation and Toxic, Araquanid can't do Anything to Toxicroak andthe frog can place Swords Dance maybe sweep the opposing team ^-^.

This week the winners are:

Checks
Mylo Xyloto's Dragalge
Can take a hit and OHKO back like 93% of the time (always after literally any prior damage)

Cheryl.'s Kommo-o
3HKOed hits even after a Clanging Scales Defense drop and 2HKO.

The Bill Cipher's Goodra
2HKOed but OHKO Araquanid almost always (always after Rocks).

Counters
Kyora's Toxicroak
Immune to Toxic, immune to Liquidation, the perfect counter, do I need to say something? The only thing the Spider can do is prevent a switch with Spider Web then switch to a check, and...is a fodder.

ThatRandomPerson42's Chesnaught
Hates Toxic but can 2HKO Wood Hammer and use it as a Spikes fodder, taking nothing from Liquidation.

Kamen Rider's Mantine
Can 3HKO with Air Slash, while the lack of Haze or Toxic and taking Araq's Toxic are annoying, will always beat Araquanid and Air Slash is also useful against Fighting- and Grass-types such as Shaymin and Kommo-o.

And the next Victim of the Week will be:
Choice Specs Zoroark

Zoroark @ Choice Specs
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- U-turn / Flamethrower

Specs Zoroark is a very powerful Pokémon with a good speed tier, Dark-type coverage is very uesful (mainly given it can pressure most of the Dark-resists with Poison, Fighting and Fire coverage), Fairy-types will take a lot from Sludge Bomb while Steel- and Dark-types are covered by Focus Blast, while Flamethrower can help against some specific Steel- and Grass-types who can resist Sludge bomb and Focus Blast well, like Swellow it can also use U-Turn against it's checks, oh and Illusion, that ability is so annoying sometimes, also even if you know it's a Zoroark, you never know what you should expect from this Pokémon, it have so many good moves and sets, I one of it's best sets, how to check Specs Zoroark?

thanks to goodra being thique as fuck (having natural sustainable bulk of 90 hp / 150 spd), it can switch in somewhat comfortably against any of its attacks, being 3HKOd, it can live on and fire back with powerful STAB attack boosted by choice band.

Milotic @ Leftovers

Milotic is a Counter to Specs Zoroark, tanking Specs Dark Pulses easily, even after SR damage, and being able to recover the damage off with Recover. In return, Milo 2HKOs Zoro with Scald.

252 SpA Choice Specs Zoroark Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 120+ SpD Milotic: 127-150 (32.2 - 38%) -- 97.2% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Calm Nature
- Scald

much like the aforementioned Milotic , its capable of tanking Dark Pulse 2 times , even after rocks , enabling it to roost afterwards and pivot into what you expect or know to be zoruark, espacially if you believe its more likely that youre opponent predicts your potential fairy or fighting type check with a sludge bomb or a fblast . Unfortunately its a worse counter than Milotic because it gets chipped by rocks constantly and easily.

252 SpA Choice Specs Zoroark Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Mantine: 127-150 (33.9 - 40.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aromatherapy
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Synthesis

Florges can absorb anything Zoroark does except Sludge Bomb (which is a 2HKO with the given spread. A specially defensive spread will be a 3HKO). Florges can come in safely and threaten to OHKO with Moonblast.
If Florges is already set-up, Zoroark can't do anything to it.

Bulky Toxicroak as a Counter. (or regular toxicroak as a check)

Toxicroak @ Black Sludge
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Drain Punch
- Gunk Shot
- Sucker Punch

Comes in multiple times, avoids a 3hko most of the time due to Black Sludge recovery, and additional recovery in Drain Punch (which kills Zoroark, ofc) allows it to come in repeatedly to do its job. Also only takes 6% from rocks which lets it avoid taking too much residual damage combined with its bug resistance.

252+ Atk Toxicroak Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zoroark: 356-420 (136.3 - 160.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Zoroark Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxicroak: 131-154 (35.4 - 41.6%) -- 80.2% chance to 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Zoroark Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxicroak: 98-115 (26.4 - 31%) -- 11.7% chance to 4HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Zoroark Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxicroak: 130-154 (35.1 - 41.6%) -- 78.9% chance to 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery (good luck hitting 3 of these)
0- Atk Zoroark U-turn vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Toxicroak: 16-19 (4.3 - 5.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Chesnaught as a check (counter if Zoroark is not running Flamethrower)

Chesnaught (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Wood Hammer
- Synthesis
- Drain Punch

I submitted this set but it also works with the fast Taunt set. Chesnaught resists Dark Pulse and is immune to Focus Blast and Sludge Bomb thanks to Bulletproof. The only way Zoroark would be able to deal with Chesnaught is if it has Flamethrower but in my experience it prefers U-Turn most of the time because Flamethrower is really only useful for Escavalier which takes a decent chunk from Dark Pulse and Chesnaught which is not very difficult to switch into due to its utility rather than offensive pressure so Zoroark doesn't have to sacrifice its pivoting capabilities in U-Turn just to hit these mons.

That's it for this week, people! Thank you all for your participating, and here are the results:

-Victim:
Choice Specs Zoroark-

Checks:

Pixie Plate Comfey by PursuitOfHappiny
Takes everything bar Sludge Bomb, has healing capacities and a pretty good shot at OHKOing Zoroark with priority Draining Kiss.

Bulky Toxicroak by teachable
Moved this from counter to check. Takes a ton from Dark Pulse and has no means of recovery outside of Drain Punch and Black Sludge, which are both difficult to rely on. Other than that, it's still a perfectly fine check, as it is able to switch into any of Zoroark's moves multiple times.

Defensive Florges by Xiri
Similar to Comfey, lacks the priority healing and damaging moves but has better bulk and still works fine as a check.

Counters:

Specially Defensive Milotic by Cheryl.
Takes everything Zoroak can throw at it, has reliable recovery and 2HKOes with Scald.

Defensive Chesnaught by Ice Tray
Moved this from check to counter: Dark Pulse is a guaranteed 4HKO, Sludge Bomb and Focus Blast can't damage it, OHKOes back with Drain Punch and has an additional recovery option in the form of Synthesis.

Defensive Mantine by Lennart
Similar to Milotic but a little less bulky and more vulnerable to Stealth Rock damage, which turns Dark Pulse into a possible 2HKO.

Honorable mention:

Choice Band Goodra by Stan Soojung
Takes two Dark Pulse and easily OHKOes back. Choice Band is something people gotta use more, instead of that shitty AV set. Cheers!

Rejected submission(s):

Choice Specs Kommo-O by The Bill Cipher
Unfortunately, the submitted Kommo-O set did not feature the ability Bulletproof, which would allow the Dragon/Fighting type to function as a much better check to Zoroark, since it blocks both Sludge Bomb and Focus Blast. Make sure to double check your submitted sets!

The next Vicitim of the Week will be...

Choice Band Durant

Durant @ Choice Band
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- X-Scissor
- Crunch
- Superpower

Hustle + Choice Band provides a multiplier of 2.25 to Durant's already decent 109 base attack, making it a nightmare to switch into for many teams.
Additionally, Durant possesses a variety of great coverage options, further limiting the amount of 'mons that can safely switch into it.
(We don't talk about the fatal accuracy drop around here.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Announcement: We will attempt to limit slashes in the provided sets as much as possible from now on.

Moltres @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flamethrower

this a slightly more bulkier variant of Moltres than people are used to, but i feel it's definitely warranted in this case.

Moltres can muscle any of durant's attacks with ease, maximum taking about 40 ish from Crunch, but Moltres can roost off the damage, decimate it with a STAB super-effective Flamethrower or cripple it entirely with Will-O-Wisp.
252 Atk Choice Band Hustle Durant Crunch vs. 248 HP / 160+ Def Moltres: 146-172 (38.1 - 44.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

While Torkoal's use is exclusive to Sun teams, it's a good check to Durant regardless. Torkoal is only 3HKOed by Choice Band Crunch, even with Stealth Rock up, though Superpower can 2HKO with Stealth rock up. Torkoal obviously OHKOes Durant with Lava Plume.

with a little bit def creep Bewear shrugs off everything even CB Durant possibly can hit it with bar Superpower. In other words no coverage option besides Superpower scores a 2 hko on Bewear and Superpower doesnt OHKO after Rocks ( with the def creep ) but Bewear is able to strike a solid OHKO with Hammerarm , when Rocks are included , and Superpower on the Band set doesnt even require Rocks to take it out.
