RU Swiss tour!
Tournament Rules:
- General tournaments rules and regulation can be found here
- Standard SM RU
- Best of 1 for the swiss phase, best of 3 for the playoffs
BECAUSE OF NUMBER OF SIGNUPS THAT TURNED OUT TO BE INCOMPATIBLE WITH A SWISS FORMAT, I AM UNABLE TO END WITH AN 8 PLAYER PLAYOFFS, SO HERE IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN:
There's going to be a 7 player playoffs because that's the closest we can get to without having a massive tiebreaker, and to incentivize doing well in the qualification stage, the top 2 players will battle for the undefeated record, and the winner will get a bye in the first round of playoffs.
Smogon Championship Type B
So winner of the following 2 is getting a bye next round, the loser will just qualify for playoffs normally.
Eternal Spirit vsHANTSUKI
And the winners of these matchups will move on to the playoffs, the loser being eliminated.
I apologize for the people who expected a 6th round but didnt make this last cut, but at this point you guys are pretty much eliminated, and this is the best way to go about this, after consulting several options and doing some research on how swiss tours can work.
