Just colored pencils and photoshop, nothing special.

Yours looks as if it's ready to attack, whilst the D/P one looks like it's trying to intimidate the foe though.

Your version seems a little less muscular than the usual Raikou though imo.

Yees, your's certainly looks more lithe than the D/P sprite. I especially like the jagged-esque man, in comparison to the billowing one on the sprite.

The only critique I can offer is that, Raikou seems a bit grainy, which does not go well with the smooth background.

Otherwise, superb picture.

Yes, I noticed the sprite after I drew it. <3

Part of the graininess is from both the colored pencils and the camera I took a picture of it with, which is pretty crap. I should've scanned it but I was impatient.

The way the bottom part of his "star-moustache" curves makes him (her? It?) look very feral, I love it.

His tail and mustache are blue in his official art and the 3d games. Maybe the spriters were lazy.
