I don't know why, but I thought I'd mention that I basically advertised this forum on a different website by "subtly" telling people about it. And by that, I mean making it a big part of a journal piece I spent an hour writing.

I'm sorry if this isn't that much of a post, so I guess I'm going to mention something I saw in earlier posts here that I initially wasn't going to respond to, since I briefly mentioned this in a post before, but it just got straight-up ignored. I cannot download Paint.Net or any other program for making sprites with a transparent background. My computer has a malware on it whose only affect is preventing me from downloading new files by filling up my PC space with files I cannot find. I would download it to a USB, but every time I save something to my USB, the file says it takes up 0 bytes of space and does nothing when opened. I had to upload those sprites from before off of a school computer. I may be able to eventually, but for now, this problem is near impossible for me to get fixed, as my antivirus software won't update for the same reason.
Oh.. I'm sorry to hear that. I'll upload them with a transparent background later then

Thanks, and I'm sorry I can't do it myself; it makes my posts that would have otherwise gotten good response feel like I've put a lot less effort into them than I have. I'm going to continue to try and fix my computer, but don't expect it to be fixed for a while.

Nah that's not the thing, the transparency hardly matters and is required for just one sprite. And look at the sprites which you've made! they are really great (Particularly Merger Monstratus) which reflect the hard work you put in making them and that too making with MS Paint is incredible. Also, we're in the process of adding another feature which shows the sprite of the Pokemon when /dgen <Pokemon> is used that'll make the Pokemon and sprites more recognizable. However, it has some limitations which we aim to fix with the help of Spandan and only the sprites and info of Sparkideer and Chipmorgue are currently there. Hope your PC gets fixed soon! :]

Of course *pokemon* means the name. That's all that's physically needed

-Wide Guard (Probopass)

I also have a move idea to fill up TM118:

Infect

Power: -
PP: 15
Accuracy: 85%
Description: The user sends a small parasite out that infects the target.
Effect: Gives the opponent the infected status
Does not make contact, Can be reflected by Magic Coat and Magic Bounce, and Can be blocked by protect.

other minor suggestions:
  • Change Misty Surge on Pixinga and Pixingillo to Cute Charm, but leave Misty Surge on Flamingairy.
  • Change the name of Gigawatt Burst to Voltage because its variations have simple names. This change also allows me to make a signature move for the Harmonian Cyndaquill line.
  • What do Aquatic Adaptation, Absolute Zero, Dazzling Light, Flash Bang, Leaf Runner, Muckracker, Recharger, and Water Droplet do? I saw them on pokemon, but not in the new abilities list.
  • On vampyric Litleo and Pyroar, replace Flare blitz with Crunch due to Flare Blitz becoming an egg move.

Gastroling and Dragonight are DNA evolutions. Basically extra evolutions for old pokemon. Mega Cherrim is self explanatory.

I belive he is talking about changing only Power Ball, and adding Fleur Cannon, Recover and Parting Shot to Powette's movepool.

Okay, Before I begin on this, we all need to decide on something. The names for the 2 different versions. Please flood us with ideas for names. So far we have: Nothing

This is just something I've noticed, but there doesn't seem to be any legendary pokemon... Perhaps we can make 2 legendaries and base the names off of that?

Also: We need names!

We actually do have two main legendary mons based on book burning and progress. I forgot what their names were but it says on the first post that we set those as the Legendary Duo of the region.

There are apparently 3 of them. And besides, we don't really have a design concept for them (Also, Guzzlord is already greed, so why do we need another?)

Pokemon Crescendo - Means "gradually getting louder" in music. Fits with the Southeast US Region feel, as jazz is a big thing there (also the region is called Harmo, gosh dang it). Also fits with the legendary that represents progress as crescendo gradually increases your progress towards the absolute top (probs could've explained that better)
Pokemon Decrescendo - Reverse the above reasoning to fit the book-burning moving back motif

Can we make the two current main legendaries a 600 BST duo and buff Spirox and Machinalibur to 630 BST and give them main legendary status?

If this ends up being the case, would it be fine if I possibly update Spirox's design to make it look more like a cover legend and less like a Mythical?

Here's a extremely big evolution line if you want it Jerrytkrot but this is the only one I'll make

Story: These Pokémon are not very common, but not very rare. Unimender fall in a mid zone on rarity. Despite looking very generic, these Pokémon do something very special if you trade them when they hold type enhancing items. Scientists have concluded that there are a humungous 15 total evolutions Unimender can evolve into.

(If that can't be programed, make it evolve with a Ice Stone) Spicicle are only found in the cold mountains of Harmo. They are able to use the snow as a slide and gain alot of momentum (not the battle kind though).

Story: One of the many evolutions of Unimender, this occurs when you trade Unimender holding a Poison Barb. Spioxic live in swamps and loves it when random acid rain occurs. Any body part of Spioxic that is touched will get the toucher badly poisoned. Because of this, they are avoided very commonly.

Story: One of the many evolutions of Unimender, this occurs when you trade Unimender holding a Moon Shard. (If that can't be programed, make it evolve with a Shiny Stone) No information is available because the scientists gave up on documenting this species.

There is not a basis for this line. Unimender is just a generic spider and its evolutions are also generic spiders that are colored and have markings that reflect their secondary types.

Competitive role: These mons were designed in mind to be suicide leads, for weather and terrain teams. Why some of them have bad typings is because i don't think a suicide lead needs to have a good typing to be successful. Its also why these mons also have bad offensive movepools and great supportive ones. All of them get Sticky Web and Spikes so that they can set stuff up. They all also get Sleep Powder so that they can use the opposing pokemon as setup fodder. Set-Up moves are also included, along with Baton Pass to pass them. Each also gets U-Turn for momentum if thats your thing. Unimender, however, is a sticky web lead for LC that can also set Spikes. But it does not summon a weather/terrain. Instead it has oblivious to block Taunt.

More suggestions
  • Nature Power should become Power Gem in Rocky Terrain, not Stone Edge. This is because Nature power, Since pokemon X and Y, always summons a special move while Stone Edge is Physical. Im fine with nature power becoming Sludge Wave in Toxic Terrain however.
  • Dragon Types should not be immune to Acid Rain.
  • A new ability called "Acid Rush" that doubles speed in Acid Rain should exist. What pokemon should get it if it's accepted?
  • Im suggesting 3 new moves called "Flaming Spikes", "Petrifying Spikes", and "Infecting Spikes". They are hazards that can only be used once and cannot stack with Toxic Spikes, or each other (If you try to use them in this situation, then they will override the olds spike kind) Flaming Spikes burns pokemon that come out, Petrifying Spikes paralyzes pokemon that come out, and Infecting Spikes infects pokemon that come out.
  • Change the Muscle Band so that it Boosts the power of physical moves by 1.3*, but lowers special moves by 0.3*
  • Change the Wise Glasses so that it Boosts the power of special moves by 1.3*, but lowers physical moves by 0.3*

(If that can't be programed, make it evolve with a Water Stone) Not only can they live on land, but also in water. Spiater can also live in any body of water too, but it needs to be in a location with nearby water in order to survive. Don't expect them to be found in plains, deserts, or the like.

  • Change the Muscle Band so that it Boosts the power of physical moves by 1.3*, but lowers special moves by 0.3*
  • Change the Wise Glasses so that it Boosts the power of special moves by 1.3*, but lowers physical moves by 0.3*
Why would you allow there to be more spiders.

Spiders are demons. There's a good idea, spider demon that steals kids.

But honestly, good idea

Cool thread, I stopped by to ckeck it out right now and it looks quite interesting, as I've read in the first post, you need fossils, right? Here's my attempt :]

Stegross
Stegosaur + Gross

Type 1: Rock
Type 2: Poison

Ability 1: Poison Touch
Ability 2: Weak Armor
Hidden Ability: Corrosion

HP: 36
Atk: 80
Def: 70
SpA: 15
SpD: 60
Spe: 9
BST: 300

Notable Moves: Gunk Shot, Stone Edge, Stealth Rocks, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Toxic, Slack Off, Roar

Design Conecept: Based on Stegosaurus, obviously, but spits poison from its mouth. It has almost like a spiky, toxic club on the end of its tail, and has a armor made of bones. It looks very small and innoffensive

Evolves by leveling up with Gunk Shot.

Stegunk
Stegosaur + Gunk

Type 1: Rock
Type 2: Poison

Ability 1: Stamina
Ability 2: Weak Armor
Hidden Ability: Corrosion

HP: 79
Atk: 130
Def: 120
SpA: 45
SpD: 105
Spe: 41
BST: 520

Notable Moves: Gunk Shot, Stone Edge, Stealth Rocks, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Toxic, Slack Off, Roar

Design Conecept: Based on Stegosaurus, obviously, but spits poison from its mouth. It has almost like a spiky, toxic club on the end of its tail, and has a armor made of bones. This Pokemon is very large and intimidating, it has stone toxic spikes growing from its back too.

Competitive Analysis: Hits very hard with 135 Base Attack and is quite tanky. Has SR and Rapid Spin support too, and also can recover its HP with Slack Off, low speed, tons of weaknesses and its relative fragility on the special side hurt Stegunk though. The ability to poison Steel and opposing Poison-Types is very interesting as well, as this is a very bulky mon, and a better user than Salazzle.

Velectro
Velociraptor + Electro

Type 1: Rock
Type 2: Electric

Ability 1: Static
Ability 2: Petrifying Touch (This Pokemon's moves have a 30% chance to paralyze on top of their original chance)
Hidden Ability: Galvanize

HP: 36
Atk: 80
Def: 70
SpA: 15
SpD: 15
Spe: 54
BST: 300

Notable Moves: Wild Charge, Stone Edge, Head Smash, Earthquake, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Volt Switch, Taunt, Knock Off, Magnet Rise, Return (Galvanize), Stealth Rocks, Dragon Tail

Design Conecept: This Pokemon is based on a Velociraptor, and has what seems to be a plug at the very end of its tail. Its said to be the Pokemon that introduced Electricity to humans. This Pokemon is also tiny and very quick.

Evolves by leveling up with Wild Charge

Veloshock
Velociraptor + Shock

Type 1: Rock
Type 2: Electric

Ability 1: Static
Ability 2: Petrifying Touch (This Pokemon's moves have a 30% chance to paralyze on top of their original chance)
Hidden Ability: Galvanize

HP: 79
Atk: 130
Def: 120
SpA: 45
SpD: 45
Spe: 101
BST: 520

Notable Moves: Wild Charge, Stone Edge, Head Smash, Earthquake, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Volt Switch, Taunt, Knock Off, Magnet Rise, Return (Galvanize), Stealth Rocks, Dragon Tail

Design Conecept: This Pokemon is based on a Velociraptor, and has what seems to be a plug at the very end of its tail. Its said to be the Pokemon that introduced Electricity to humans. This Pokemon is also very tall and very quick.

Competitive Analysis: Just outspeeding the crowded base 101 Speed Tier, Veloschock is a huge threat because of its high attack stat and two amazing abilities on Galvanize or Petrifying Touch. Rock + Electric is quite a bad typing though, and this Pokemon can't take Special hits too... Though, it does have a way to keep Momentum in Volt Switch and access to notable support moves in Taunt and Stealth Rocks.
Idk if there's still time for that, but I'd like to reaplace Veloshock's Static for Rock Head, for recoilless Wild Charge and Head Smash :)
