Moltres @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Scorching Sands
- Substitute
- Roost

Moltres burns through a lot of its checks in Monotype! Its Fire typing makes it one of the best options on Flying teams to beat Steel and Ice teams, especially threatening Steel-types such as Melmetal and Celesteela. Scorching Sands helps Moltres deal with Heatran, as well as metagame staples such as Toxapex and Nihilego. Substitute protects Moltres from status, shuts down passive foes such as Celesteela, and scouts for wayward Electric- and Rock-type coverage from Melmetal and Choice Scarf Buzzwole, respectively. Remember, though, that running Moltres means not running Galarian Moltres, which opens up various holes in Flying teams. To compensate, Gravity Landorus-T is immune to Electric and can help beat Poison teams. Alternatively, Psychic Thundurus-T is a niche option to help against Poison teams. Dragonite covers Moltres's weakness to Water and appreciates Moltres pressuring Steel-types so that it can sweep.

- Moltres burns through a lot of its checks in Monotype! This feels a little untrue, I'd say some of the matchups it improves over "its checks" such as Steel, Ice, Grass.
- "Its Fire typing, reliable recovery in Roost, and good Speed tier makes it a valuable asset to Flying teams." Moltres is really uncommon due to Galarian Moltres being the main trend on Flying team and its main use if for the steel and ice mu. Lots of emphasis needed on the Steel mu in this writing.
- Since you arent using Galarian Moltres you have to talk about how you're reliant on other ways to cover the Poison Matchup like Swords Dance Landorus, something more niche like Galarian Articuno, or completely giving up the entire mu in the teammates area.
- " Moltres poses a formidable offensive check to Steel-types such as Excadrill, Celesteela, and Melmetal." Melmetal and Celesteela are pretty annoying for Flying but unsure about Excadrill. If anything Rock Blast Excadrill is the main check Steel has (kinda uncommon due to sd sets prevailing) so I'd remove it for like Heatran.
- Scorching Sands has Heatran has the first example that's good. I'd mix up the other examples, like tyranitar (dark/rock) moltres doesn't really do much until hydreigon is gone and terrakion is on two of the worst types in monotype. (fighting doesn't win in general). Just generalize it for more meta stuff like pex/nihi.
- Substitute should also have like passive Pokemon it sets up on like Celes.
- Review the teammates section

lmk when implemented

Moltres burns through a lot of its checks in Monotype! Its Fire typing makes it one of the best options on Flying teams to beat Steel and Ice teams. Moltres poses a formidable offensive check to teams, especially threatening Steel-types such as Melmetal and Celesteela. Scorching Sands helps Moltres deal with Heatran, (AC) as well as metagame staples such as Toxapex and Nihilego. Substitute protects Moltres from being statused, keeps it safe against status, shuts down passive foes such as Celesteela, and helps it scout scouts for wayward Electric- and Rock-type coverage from Melmetal and Choice Scarf Heracross, (AC) respectively. Remember, though, that running Moltres means not running Galarian Moltres, opening which opens up various holes in Flying teams. To compensate, (I imagine?) Swords Dance Landorus-T is immune to Electric and can help beat Poison teams. Alternatively, Galarian Articuno is a niche option to help against Poison teams. Dragonite covers Moltres's weakness to Water and appreciates Moltres pressuring the opponent's Steel-types so that it can sweep.

Hey :)! I think something is missing from the implemented GP, it should be:

Substitute protects Moltres from status, shuts down passive foes such as Celesteela [...]
