Megas For All: V4! (Voting - Lickilicky, Togekiss, Dusknoir)

Would you guys be interested if I had MFA include Gen 8 mons when it comes out?

Mega Weavile
New Typing: Dark/Ice ---> Dark/Ice
New Ability: Pressure/Pickpocket ---> Technician
New Stats:
HP: 70
Attack: 120 ---> 145 (+25)
Defense: 65
Special Attack: 45 ---> 145 (+100)
Special Defense: 85 ---> 60 (-25)
Speed: 125
New Moves: Sludge Bomb, Icicle Spear
Description: A little like the Technician Hitmontop aka Technitop meme in Gen IV (Don't know if it was a meme or not). I gave it a special attack boost for special STABs along with the capacity to go physical or special (or mixed if you really want to) and Sludge Bomb to help it go special. Also, I think it might be one of the few Pokemon to viably run Technician Hidden Power. Counters wouldn't be too hard to find due to below-average bulk and no boost to speed upon Mega Evolving.

Mega Talonflame
New Typing: Fire/Flying ---> Fire/Flying
New Ability: Flame Body/Gale Wings ---> Magic Guard
New Stats:
HP: 78
Attack: 81 ---> 130 (+49)
Defense: 71 ---> 116 (+45)
Special Attack: 74 ---> 70 (-4)
Special Defense: 69 ---> 125 (+36)
Speed: 126 ---> 100 (-26)
New Moves: N/A
Description: Bulk Up user. Magic Guard helps stallbreak reasonably well and make being forced out less bad due to immunity to Rocks. Struggles against offense due to less speed.

Mega Crawdaunt
New Typing: Water/Dark ---> Water/Steel
New Ability: Hyper Cutter/Shell Armor/Adaptability ---> Aggressor (Steelworker for Dark-type moves)
New Stats:
HP: 63
Attack: 120 ---> 175 (+55)
Defense: 85 ---> 135 (+50)
Special Attack: 90
Special Defense: 55
Speed: 55 ---> 50 (-5)
New Move: Iron Head
Description: Wallbreaker. I imagined its shell being hard as steel, hence the steel-typing. It's still aggressive, so I went with Dark-type steelworker.

Talonflame

Fire / Flying → Fire / Flying

HP: 78 → 78 (0)
Atk: 81 → 131 (+50)
Def: 71 → 81 (+10)
SpA: 74 → 80 (+6)
SpD: 69 → 89 (+20)
Spe: 126 → 140 (+14)

Flame Body / Gale Wings → Reckless

  • With the nerf to gale wings, Talonflame has lost a lot of its previous versatility. One large problem it faces is its low attack stat, meaning it can't deal enough damage to break most relevant answers. With Reckless and this attack boost, however, it will be able to throw off extremely strong Flare Blitzes and Brave Birds.
  • Defenses were increased to allow a little more survive-ability after recoil, and a slight speed increase to push it above mons that would otherwise beat it, like Tapu Koko.
  • Mons with good defense, especially Rock types, balance out this set, as well as faster mons that can hit it super-effective.
Weavile

Dark / Ice → Dark / Ice

HP: 70 → 70 (+0)
Atk: 120 → 140 (+20)
Def: 65 → 55 (-10)
SpA: 45 → 130 (+85)
SpD: 85 → 65 (-20)
Spe: 125 → 150 (+25)

Pressure / Pickpocket → Dark Aura

  • There is certainly a Dark Aura to Weavile, hence the ability. It gives a nice boost to his main stab, whether physical or special.
  • To avoid having to boost either attack or speed even higher (boosting defenses doesn't really fit), I decided that Weavile could make a cool mixed attacker, hence the large buff to special attack. It also makes Weavile much more versatile, whether fully offensive or setup-wise.
  • This idea does not seem at all broken, as regular Weavile can actually achieve higher damage on the physical end. All it has over the regular is Speed and way more versatility.
Last but certainly not least...

Crawdaunt

Water / Dark → Water / Steel

HP: 63 → 63 (+0)
Atk: 120 → 120 (+0)
Def: 85 → 155 (+70)
SpA: 90 → 90 (+0)
SpD: 55 → 115 (+60)
Spe: 55 → 25 (-30)

Hyper Cutter/Shell Armor/Adaptability → Armour Burden (Defense and Sp.Def are doubled + Slow Start effect)
New Moves: Gyro Ball, Aqua Ring

  • Justification: Mega Crawdaunt's new shell is made of a ridiculously tough kind of metal, making it insanely bulky and changing its overall secondary typing to Steel. However, it is extremely heavy, resulting in Crawdaunt taking several turns to get into a good battle stance.
  • Pros and Cons: While the effects of Slow Start may seem undesirable, they can be countered by the use of Swords Dance. However, this means it has a significantly lower damage output than a regular Crawdaunt, which balances it out. If you manage to get it in after removing solid checks, however, have fun breaking through your opponent while they can't break through you!
  • Checks and Counters: Burn status essentially makes Mega Crawdaunt a non-threat. Phasing moves such as Whirlwind, Roar and Dragon Tail reset its Slow Start counter, and remove setup. Strong super-effective hits will wear it down thanks to its lack of reliable recovery outside of Aqua ring.
  • Team suggestions: Pair with a wish-passer to give it multiple opportunities to get in, as well as a cleric to remove Burn status. It has 3 weaknesses in Ground, Fighting and Electric, all of which a mon like Landorus-Therian can help remove.
  • Set suggestions: SD 3 Attacks, SD Sub Dual STAB, Sub Toxic Aqua Ring Crabhammer
Set suggestion: S P E C I A L C R A W D A U N T I S B A C K B O Y S

Crawdaunt-Mega
Ability: Hyper Cutter/Shell Armor/ Adaptability ----> Stakeout
Typing: Dark/Water

Stats:

HP: 63
Attack: 120 ----> 150 (+30)
Defense: 85 ----> 95 (+10)
Special Attack: 90
Special Defense:55 ----> 65 (+10)
Speed: 55 ----> 105 (+50)

Movepool Additions: Pursuit, poison jab
Description: Crawdaunt has become taller. It has developed long legs and arms. It is black in colour and looks permanently angry. These longer legs enable it to catch opponents off guard, hence the ability.

Competitive analysis: Crawdaunt should be used as a trapper to support threats that hate lele. It is also able to put pressure on switch-ins by hitting them with boosted knock offs and crabhammers.

Talonflame-Mega
Ability: Gen 6 Gales wings
+10 in all

Yes it's a joke but srsly that's all you need.
the stats have to be +100 total, so +20 in all would work but +10 in all wouldn't
you're not wrong, that could work :^)
then again you could just SD and enjoy the benefits of dual STAB, unless you plan to run HP Steel like a baller
or you could go mixed with like surf, iron head, ice beam and insert physical move here. use special moves until slow start wears off

KirbyRider1337 its two moves.
Yeah, just remove Smart Strike, it's useless. Here's your Weavile's stats: 70/140/55/85/95/165 (±0/+20/-10/+30/+10/+40)
20-10+30+10+40=90, not 100. 45 SpA+30=75, not 85.

Talonflame: Ezaphs, MaceMaster, Marowhacker

NU Ex-Wallbreakers
Yanmega, Dragalge and Pangoro were the fiercest wallbreakers in the NU tier while they were legal thanks to their great abilities. All 3 will have an ability cap of 4, and adding up to 3 moves to Yanmega's movepool will be tolerated.

Congratulations to Marowhacker for his Mega Talonflame (and me for Crawdaunt and Weavile)!

Mega Yanmega
Type
: Bug/DRAGON
Stats-
HP: 86
Atk: 76
Def: 86 -> 106 (+20)
SpAtk: 116 -> 146 (+30)
SpDef: 56 -> 90 (+34)
Speed: 95 -> 111 (+16)
Ability: Tinted Lens
Move Additions: Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Flash Cannon
Description: Upon Mega Evolution, Yanmega becomes what it always should've been: the first ever Bug/Dragon-type. To fit it's new Dragon status, Yanmega gains 2 good new STAB moves in Dragon Pulse and Draco Meteor (eat it, Mega Sceptile), as well as Flash Cannon to take darn pesky Dragon-immune Fairies. Otherwise, those immunities don't matter with a great ability in Tinted Lens, negating most resistances. When Mega Evolving, Yanmega gains a ton of Special Attacking power and bulk, as well as some Speed to hit a good Speed tier, both with and without a Speed Boost. Overall, Mega Yan-Mega becomes the threat it always wanted to be.

Mega Dragalge
Type
: Poison/Dragon
Stats-
HP: 65
Atk: 75
Def: 90 -> 125 (+35)
SpAtk: 97 -> 132 (+35)
SpDef: 123 -> 153 (+30)
Speed: 44
Ability: Regenerator
Move Additions: U-Turn, Synthesis
Description: This killer kelp (hooray for alliteration for making me call something Killer Kelp... does it even classify as kelp after evolving?) Dragalge become a menace of the murky waters after Mega Evolving. With big boosts to it's bulk and Special Attack, Dragalge can take more hits and dish harder ones back out, though really it's stat boosts do sway more towards taking advantage of a good defensive typing. To help with that, Dragalge gains a good recovery move in Synthesis (Algae go through Synthesis, why doesn't it learn this?) to increase longevity and a great defensive ability in Regenerator, healing Dragalge when forced out. U-Turn pairs well with Regenerator, allowing Dragalge to act as a slow bulky pivot and healing in the process, as well as getting it out of sticky situations, like U-Turning on a switch into a Dugtrio who thought it could trap you.

Mega Pangoro
Type
: Fighting/Dark
Stats-
HP: 95
Atk: 124 -> 154 (+30)
Def: 78 -> 108 (+30)
SpAtk: 69
SpDef: 71 -> 91 (+20)
Speed: 58 -> 78 (+20)
Ability: Tough Claws
Move Additions: Sucker Punch
Description: Mega Pangoro is Pangoro, but meaner. With boosts to Attack, both defenses, and Speed, Pangoro has a usable speed stat, is stronger, and harder to take down. On top of that, it gains Tough Claws as a Life Orb boost to all of it's favorite moves like Drain Punch, Knock Off, Poison Jab, the elemental punches, Bullet Punch, and new priority STAB in Sucker Punch. Plus, it's new speed stat makes it's former signature move, Parting Shot, way more usable, which is always a plus. Overall, it's Pangoro, but greatly improved in every way.

Don't underestimate it's damage output, though: it still has 144 base attack.

HP: 86 (+0)
Attack: 106 (+30)
Defense: 91 (+5)
Special Attack: 141 (+26)
Special Defense: 81 (+25)
Speed: 110 (+14)
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Head Smash, Baton Pass
Description: Since our vicious insectoid friend is based on an actual dinosaur contemporary, I went with the fossil-associated Rock typing. As it turns to its long-neglected primordial move choices, it gets Technician to boost Ancient Power, Silver Wind, and more. A frightening sweeper, especially after the Speed Boost from its unevolved form. Baton Pass lets it spread its primal terror to teammates and furthers its terrifying versatility, even if not Mega!
Yanmega @ Yanmegite ( / Fightinium Z)
