Larvesta is a formidable physical wall that syngerizes strongly with LC's Poison-types, helping stop Fighting- and Grass-type attackers that often overwhelm them. It also has reliable recovery, Flame Body to threaten burns, and a slow U-turn, allowing it to check the ever-present Mienfoo and very strong Grookey while generating momentum. Teammates like Carvanha and Choice Scarf Mudbray appreciate Larvesta reliably checking Grookey. Its slow U-turn pairs very well with a trapper like Diglett, which removes Bug-resistant Pokemon like Mareanie. Despite its strengths, Larvesta is very weak to Stealth Rock, requiring a removal teammate like Rapid Spin Staryu. Natu can also block Stealth Rock but cannot remove it once it has been set.

Larvesta carves a niche for itself through being one of the few Fighting- and Grass-type resists in the tier that isn't Poison-type, leaving it much less vulnerable to being trapped and against opposing Psychic-type attackers.(This isn't really true. Stuff like Diglett can still trap Larv with Rock Slide and it isn't that much better against Psychic-types. Instead, reword this section to mention how it is a good complement to Poison-types and prevent them from getting overwhelmed by providing a secondary check to these threats.) This, along with its reliable recovery, ability to threaten burns with Flame Body, and slow U-turn allow it to check the ever-present Mienfoo and very strong Grookey multiple times over the course of a match, and generate momentum while doing so. Teammates like Carvanha and Scarf Mudbray appreciate Larvesta because of its reliability in checking Grookey. Despite its strengths, Larvesta is very weak to Stealth Rock. This makes it important to run hazard removal in the form of either Rapid Spin Staryu or Defog Timburr, which are suboptimal team choices. Natu can also block Stealth Rock from being set up, but cannot remove them once they have been set. Despite Larvesta causing teambuilding constraints, it is a solid choice for a Fighting- or Grass-type check on teams that are built around trivializing some of the strongest Pokemon in the current LC meta. (This is very negative. Just state how Larv needs consistent hazard control, so you want something like Spin Star or Natu.) (Add a point about a slow U-turn synergizing with Diglett to remove foes like Mareanie, maybe after the sentence about its strengths)
