ANTY UPLOAD

[OVERVIEW]

Guzzlord is a potent tank that can act as a wallbreaker with Choice Specs, its great bulk, and powerful STAB attacks. However, Guzzlord faces competition as a wallbreaker from some of the other Dragon-types in the tier such as Drampa and Alolan Exeggutor because its Special Attack stat is lower, although it carves a niche due to its bulk and unique typing. As a result, Guzzlord can check a variety of Pokemon with its Fire-, Water-, and Grass-type resistances such as Pyroar, Lanturn, Ludicolo, Lilligant and Manectric. Unfortunately, residual damage from Toxic and Scald burns obstruct Guzzlord's longevity. Futhermore, with a wretched base 43 Speed, Guzzlord has a very mediocre Speed tier that makes it easy to revenge kill. Additionally, being locked into a move after it scores a KO can be costly for Guzzlord because it may give a free setup opportunity to an opposing Pokemon.

Moves
========

Draco Meteor is Guzzlord's most vigorous STAB attack and hits everything bar Steel- and Fairy-types neutrally. Dark Pulse is Guzzlord's secondary STAB attack, which allows it to wallbreak without drawbacks. Fire Blast is perfect coverage for Guzzlord because it hits Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Mawile super effectively. Lastly, Sludge Wave is utilized to OHKO bulky Fairy-types such as Togetic and Granbull, which would wall Guzzlord otherwise.

Set Details
========

Choice Specs allows Guzzlord to become a wallbreaker. Beast Boost gives Guzzlord a Special Attack boost after it KOes a foe. This is useful because it makes Guzzlord a bigger threat coming off a 97 Special Attack stat. 252 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature maximize Guzzlord's offensive prowess, ensuring it hits as hard as possible. 196 Special Defense EVs allows Guzzlord to be bulky, acting as a secondary Fire-, Water-, and Grass-type check for its teammates. Additionally, 60 Speed EVS allow Guzzlord to outspeed uninvested base 50 Speed Pokemon such as Mawile and Piloswine.

Usage Tips
========

Guzzlord penalizes most passive playstyles, so it should be used as a switch-in to passive Pokemon such as Sableye and Weezing. Guzzlord should be making use of its wallbreaking prowess during the early-game as much as possible so that its teammates can have an easier time later on. Despite Guzzlord's wallbreaking prowess, it still struggles to break through walls such as Audino, so prior damage on these Pokemon is necessary. Furthermore, prediction is very important when using Guzzlord because it opens holes for other team members to exploit if it uses the correct move. Lastly, be wary when locking Guzzlord into moves such as Fire Blast and Sludge Wave because they can give free setup opportunities to the opposing team, which can be costly.

Team Options
========

Guzzlord fits well on teams that need a pivot into Grass-, Fire-, and Water-types. Guzzlord's Dark-typing leaves it susceptible to Fighting-types, so Fighting-type checks such as Weezing make for good partners. Guzzlord likes to be brought in with a slow Volt Switch or U-turn, so pair it with Pokemon such as Lanturn and defensive Mesprit. Mesprit can also provide Healing Wish support for Guzzlord, which gives it another chance at wallbreaking. Hazard removers such as Hitmonchan make for good partners because Guzzlord does not like to come in while hazards are up, and Guzzlord pressures Ghost-types for Hitmonchan in return. Additionally, setup sweepers and late-game cleaners such as Primeape and Carracosta appreciate Guzzlord's wallbreaking capabilities.

Moves
========

Draco Meteor is Guzzlord's strongest STAB move, hitting Pokemon hard even without a boosting item; however, it is unreliable because it lowers Guzzlord's Special Attack and can miss. Dark Pulse is Guzzlord's secondary STAB attack and hits everything bar Fairy-, Fighting-, and opposing Dark-types. Fire Blast gives Guzzlord great coverage, allowing it to OHKO Steel-types such as Mawile and Ferroseed. Sludge Wave is utilized to OHKO Fairy-types such as Granbull and Togetic, which otherwise wall Guzzlord. Lastly, Earthquake allows Guzzlord to 2HKO Lanturn and Assault Vest Magmortar.

Set Details
========

Beast Boost boosts Guzzlord's Special Attack stat by one stage if it scores a KO, which is beneficial because Guzzlord's base Special Attack stat is only 97. Assault Vest boosts Guzzlord's special bulk further, while 252 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature allow Guzzlord to hit as hard as possible. 196 Special Defense EVs allow Guzzlord to check Fire-, Water-, and Grass-types with ease. 60 Speed EVs enables Guzzlord to outspeed uninvested base 50 Speed Pokemon such as Mawile and Piloswine.

Usage Tips
========

Guzzlord fits well on bulky offensive and balanced playstyles that need a pivot into special attackers such as Magmortar and Lanturn. Guzzlord should also pivot into weak or resisted special attacks and fire back with a strong STAB move. While Guzzlord resists Dark, make sure that it does not get hit by Knock Off because it will hinder its ability to tank special moves. Guzzlord should spam Draco Meteor mainly versus offensive teams, since they usually lack appropriate switch-ins to the move.

Team Options
========

Guzzlord fits on teams in need of a Fire-, Water-, and Grass-type check due to its unique typing and bulk. Weezing makes for a decent partner because it appreciates the plethora of special attacks Guzzlord can tank while Guzzlord appreciates Weezing's ability to tank physical attacks. Weezing can also provide Toxic Spikes, which wears down the opposing team. Additionally, hazard removers such as Hitmonchan and Skuntank make for good teammates because they can remove the hazards that Guzzlords hates, since they wear it down fast. Moreover, Skunktank can also absorb Toxic Spikes for Guzzlord, and Guzzlord can pressure Ghost-types for Hitmonchan.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A bulkier RestTalk set can be used to give Guzzlord some form of recovery. Alternatively, Guzzlord can be used as a Trick Room sweeper to take advantage of its mediocre Speed tier. Flamethrower can also be used over Fire Blast because it has no drawbacks. Dragon Tail is a neat option that forces switches and works well on hazard stacking teams. Lastly, Dragonium Z can be used to keep Guzzlord's item unrevealed and deal with its regular checks after they have been lured in.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Mr. Mime, Mawile, and Togetic all check Guzzlord but have to watch out for Sludge Wave.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Hitmonchan and Primeape can easily revenge kill Guzzlord or force it out.

**Residual Damage**: Status moves such as Toxic can wear Guzzlord down. Entry hazards can also hinder how many times Guzzlord is able to switch in.

**Faster Pokemon**: Due to Guzzlord's mediocre Speed tier, any fast Pokemon can easily revenge kill a weakened Guzzlord. Examples include Jynx and Ninjask.

Can I suggest flamethrower slashed with fire blast? The only time you're really clicking fire blast is when you expect a steel type switching in. Flamethrower OHKOs ferroseed, although it misses the OHKO on Silvally-Steel. I've found the 100% hit chance more valuable than the extra base power given how situation dependent clicking the fire move is

AM check:
"Its Incredible HP stat turn guzzlord into a perfect bulky wallbreaker"
Also mention its incredible offensive typing and decent special attack.
The overview should go over how it has many common weaknesses, most notably to fighting and fairy. Also mention how being locked into its STABs can be very exploitable, especially Draco, in addition to being somewhat frail physically.
Mention Draco Meteor's stat drops in the set.
OO is extremely bare. Mention why using the options listed are generally not as good as the main set.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Its Incredible HP stat turn guzzlord into a perfect bulky wallbreaker more so tank, than wallbreaker. its wallbreaking ability comes from power dual stab + coverage
  • Beast Boost helps Guzzlord become even a more fearsome wallbreaker after it gets a kill. i dont think this is a point tbh, as soon as you get a kill because of how slow it is it gets revenge killed. and a lot of the time you are clicking draco, so even if you claim a kill with it, you are still at a net -1
  • Guzzlord checks a variety of Pokemon with its Fire-, Water-, and Grass-type resistance such as Charizard, Lanturn, Ludicol, amd Liligant. this is fine, altho maybe change zard for pyroar because zard has focus blast
  • Between Draco Metoer Sludewave, Fireblast, and Darkpluse Guzzlord has solid coverage. mention dual stab is draco + dark pulse and then flamethrower allows you to hit steel types and fairy types respectively
  • lack of reliable recovery makes it status bait and hinders its longevity. meh, i dont think this is due to lack of reliable recovery, more so the pokes it switches into, toxic and scald stuffs etc
  • Unfortuanly with a wretched base 43 Speed, Guzzlord has a very medicre Speed tier which makes easy to revenge kill after it scores a Kill.
i also like the point above, mention locking itself into any move is exploitable
[SET]

Moves
========
  • Draco Meteor is Guzzlord's strongest STAB attack which is a powerful move that hits everything bar Steel- and Fairy-types neutrally.
  • Fireblast is a nice coverage move for Guzzlord, that hits Steel-types such as Ferroseed.
  • Dark pulse is Guzzlord's secondary STAB attack, that allows it to wall break without special attack drops. ^swap these around
  • Sludge Wave is good coverage that hits bulky Fairy-types such as Togetic, Granbull, and Clefairy.
Set Details
========
  • 252 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature maximizes Guzzlord's offensive prowess, ensuring it hits as hard as possibe.
  • 196 Special Defense EVs allows Guzzlord to be a secondary Fire, Water, and Grass-type check.
  • 60 speed EVS allows Guzzlord to outspeed uninvested base 50 speed Pokemon such as Mawile, and Piloswine. ^swap these 2 points as well, since you are investing in speed and then dropping the rest into bulk
  • Choice Specs turns Guzzlord into a fearsome wallbreaker.

Usage Tips
========
  • Guzzlord should be making use of its wallbreaking prowess during the early game as much as possible so its teammates can have an easier time later on.
  • Guzzlord punishes most passive playstyles, so it should be used as a switch in to passive Pokemon such as Sabeyle and Weezing.
  • Prediction is important for Guzzlord, as it can easily give the opponent free turns and free setup, depending on the move it locks itself into; however, due to Guzzlord's powerful STAB moves most Pokemon take a lot of damage from Draco Meteor and Dark Pulse.replace that with open holes for other pokemon on your team to exploit if you hit a target
  • Despite its wallbreaking prowess guzzlord still struggles to break walls such as audino. without prior damage
mention that locking yourself into certain moves like fire blast and sludge wave can allow the opponent to settup potentially, and that the user should be weiry of this happening

Team Options
========
  • Guzzlord's Dark-type leaves it susceptible to Fighting-types so Fighting checks such as Weezing make good partners.
  • Guzzlord likes to be brought in on slow volturn so pair it with users such as lanturn, and defensive mesprit. mention here that running guzzlord allows you to more heavily counterplay offense with the rest of your slots, so fast scarfers like pyroar work really well with it since guzzlord likes to come in on slow pokemon, those are its main oppurtuintys to wallbreak
  • Healing wish users such as Mr.Mime and Musharna give Guzzlord another chance at wallbreaking mentioning mr mime but not mesprit? thats probably the most relevant hwish user rn
  • Poison-types that absorb toxicspikes such as skunktank is a good partner because it can also remove hazards for guzzlord this is just generic teambuilding advice, skunk doesnt sound like some good advice on this pokemon at least. maybe mention it doesnt like being chipped by hazards so a defogger / spinner especially spinner since it can come in on a lot of ghost types and threaten or try to break
  • Setup sweepers and late game cleaners that apperciate Guzzlord's wall breaking such as Primeape and Carracosta good point

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Assault Vest can be used to futher Guzzlord's bulk in special defense
  • a bulkier set with Rest talk can be used
  • Using Guzzlord as a trickroom sweeper
  • ill need some more qc people to support, but potentially a dragoniumz set? it means you dont need to worry about locking yourself into a move and gives you a specs draco with none of the drawbacks of specs or draco

  • Healing wish users such as Mr.Mime, Mesprit and Musharna give Guzzlord another chance at wallbreaking wish goes far better with guzz than healing wish, it's not the type of mon you'll wanna sacrifice another mon for most of the time

[OVERVIEW]

Guzzlord is a potent tank that can act as a wallbreaker with Choice Specs Specs, its great bulk, and powerful STAB attacks. However, Guzzlord faces competition as a wallbreaker from some of the other Dragon-types in the tier such as Drampa and Alolan Exeggutor because it's its Special Attack stat is lower, although it carves a niche due to its bulk and unique typing. As a result, Guzzlord can check a variety of Pokemon with its Fire-, Water-, and Grass-type resistances such as Pyroar, Lanturn, Ludicolo, Lilligant Lilligant and Manectric. Unfortunately, residual damage from Toxic and Scald burns obstruct Guzzlord's longevity. Futhermore, with a wretched base 43 Speed, Guzzlord has a very mediocre Speed tier that makes it easy to revenge kill. Additionally, locking being locked into a move after it scores a kill KO can be costly for Guzzlord because it may give a free setup opportunity to an opposing Pokemon.
