[OVERVIEW]

With an amazing defensive typing and fantastic natural bulk, Florges is able to take on threats such as Heracross, Kommo-o, Kingdra, and Umbreon with ease. Florges's access to a variety of utility moves, such as Wish, Synthesis, and Calm Mind, allows it to function as a formidable setup sweeper and cleric in the RU tier. While Florges has one of the highest Special Defense stats of the tier, its overlooked Special Attack stat is still above average for a defensive Pokemon, allowing it to hit hard without Special Attack investment. However, Florges is held back by its lackluster Defense, which causes it to struggle against powerful physical attackers such as Honchkrow, Mega Glalie, and Stoutland. Its low HP stat causes Florges to face competition with Umbreon as a cleric, since Umbreon's higher HP stat allows it to pass larger Wishes compared to Florges. Due to Florges's reliance on STAB Moonblast, Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Moltres, Venusaur, and Bronzong are able to take advantage of it. Meanwhile, Florges falls victim to Trick and Taunt users such as Rotom-C, Gardevoir, and Jellicent as well, as both moves limit its ability to set up and support its team. Lastly, Florges is unable to benefit from either one of its abilities, Flower Veil and Symbiosis, since they are much more suitable in double battles as opposed to in single battles.

Moves
========

Moonblast acts as Florges's primary STAB attack and complements its decently high Special Attack, allowing it to hit Pokemon such as Kommo-o, Flygon, and Umbreon hard. The chance of a Special Attack stat drop can potentially allow Florges to beat other Calm Mind users such as Slowbro and Reuniclus while weakening other special attackers such as Shaymin and Gardevoir. Calm Mind boosts Florges's amazing Special Attack and Special Defense further, allowing it to become a formidable bulky setup sweeper that can be difficult to take down. Synthesis provides Florges a way to recover; while its potency is reduced by weather effects such as Gigalith's Sand Stream, it is also amplified under Torkoal or Ninetales's Drought. Aromatherapy allows Florges to act as a cleric by removing status conditions for itself and its team, making it difficult for defensively oriented teams that rely on status conditions to whittle down Florges's bulkier teammates.

Set Details
========

The EV spread along with a Bold nature helps remedy Florges's lackluster Defense, allowing it to take attacks from Pokemon such as Sharpedo, Virizion, and Heracross better. Remember that using large amounts of Special Defense investment is unnecessary, since Florges already has amazing natural Special Defense that is further amplified by Calm Mind. An alternate spread of 248 HP / 120 Def / 136 Spe with a Timid nature allows Florges to outspeed maximum Speed Adamant Honchkrow and Tyrantrum, allowing Florges to knock them both out with Moonblast if they try to revenge kill it. Leftovers provides Florges with passive recovery, allowing it to stay as healthy as possible throughout the match.

Usage Tips
========

Florges can be used as a pivot into special attackers such as Shaymin, Goodra, and Yanmega in order to set up Calm Mind. Florges is also able to set up Calm Mind on Pokemon it has the type advantage over, such as Umbreon, Chesnaught, and Sharpedo. After Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Rotom-H, Salazzle, and Registeel have been removed, Florges has the potential to pull off a sweep. It is also important to have Unaware users such as Pyukumuku and Quagsire, Haze users such as Mantine and Dragalge, and Trick users such as Espeon and Rotom-C removed since these Pokemon will make it difficult for Florges to set up and sweep. It is important to note that if Florges receives a Choice Scarf, it will be able to outspeed both Jolly nature Honchkrow and Tyrantrum. Remember that due to Florges's naturally high Special Attack, it can still hit decently hard with Moonblast without any Calm Mind boosts. Use Aromatherapy and Synthesis sparingly, since both of these moves only have 8 PP; therefore, it is usually not the best idea to set up Calm Mind on Pokemon with access to Toxic such as Porygon2, Mantine, and defensive Moltres, since they can force Florges to use up these moves's PP quickly.

Florges does struggle against other setup sweepers such as Comfey, due to its access to Taunt, and Slowbro and Reuniclus, due to their access to higher PP recovery moves as well as Psyshock to target Florges's low Defense. Florges struggles the most against Curse Snorlax due to Rest's instant recovery of all of Snorlax's HP, Snorlax's naturally high Special Defense allowing it to tank boosted Moonblasts, and its ability to hit Florges physically. If possible, try to avoid switching Florges in when entry hazards are on the field, since it is vulnerable to all three forms of them; they can turn potential 3HKOs from Pokemon such as Swellow and Tectonic Rage Flygon into easy 2HKOs.

Team Options
========

Florges fits well on balance and stall teams due to its ability to function as a solid bulky setup sweeper while providing Aromatherapy support for its team. Therefore, Pokemon that are vulnerable to status conditions like burns and Toxic poison such as Gligar, Bronzong, and Jellicent appreciate Florges's Aromatherapy support. Due to Florges's vulnerability to Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Salazzle and Registeel, Ground-types like Flygon, Rhyperior, and Gligar make great partners. Steel-types such as Bronzong, Escavalier, and Registeel can also work well with Florges due to their type synergy, with Steel-types being able to deal with opposing Steel- and Poison-types while Florges can apply pressure to Fighting-types such as Kommo-o and Heracross. Water-types such as Mantine, Jellicent, and Milotic are able to deal with the aforementioned Steel-types as well as Fire-types such as Moltres well. Mantine and Milotic are also able to check bulky setup sweepers such as Slowbro and Snorlax with Haze while Jellicent is able to shut them down with Taunt.

Pokemon like Cresselia, Umbreon, and Doublade that are threatened by Dark-types such as Zoroark and Umbreon and Fighting-types such as Pangoro and Heracross appreciate Florges functioning as a decent check to them. Bulkier Psychic-types such as Cresselia and Slowking function as great partners for Florges, since they benefit from Aromatherapy support and Cresselia is able to check Poison-types such as Roserade and Salazzle very well. Florges appreciates Toxic Spikes support from Pokemon such as Roserade and Dragalge, since poison weakens bulkier foes such as Pyukumuku, Porygon2, and Slowbro.

move 4: Aromatherapy

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Moonblast functions as Florges's main STAB move and also has a chance to lower the target's Special Attack, hitting decently hard due to Florges's base Special Attack and Fairy's good neutral coverage. Wish allows Florges to function as a solid cleric, allowing it to heal up its teammates or itself. Protect guarantees Florges will be able to receive its Wish while also providing a scouting tool against potential Choice item users such as Gardevoir and Zoroark. Synthesis is primarily used as a form of instant recovery. Remember that its potency is reduced in Gigalith's Sand Stream but heightened under Torkoal and Ninetales's Drought. Aromatherapy allows Florges to remove status conditions from itself and the rest of its team.

Set Details
========
The EV spread alongside a Bold nature maximizes Florges's Defense stat, allowing it to check physical attackers such as Pangoro, Heracross, and Virizion better. Alternatively, 136 Speed EVs along with a Timid nature allow Florges to outspeed maximum Speed Adamant Honchkrow and Tyrantrum, which will allow Florges to knock them both out with Moonblast if they attempt to revenge kill it. Leftovers is essential, since it keeps Florges healthy throughout the match through passive recovery.

Usage Tips
========

Florges is an excellent pivot into special attackers such as Sharpedo, Goodra, and Yanmega due to its high Special Defense stat, as well as physical attackers it has the type advantage over such as Heracross and Pangoro. With Wish, Florges is able to heal its team whenever it's required. However, do note that it can be fairly obvious which Pokemon Florges will pass the Wish to if you only have one or two low-health Pokemon. Due to Aromatherapy, Synthesis, and Wish's low PP, it is important to use these three moves sparingly throughout the match. For example, save Aromatherapy for a Pokemon that does not appreciate Toxic such as Jellicent and Cresselia rather than using it on burned Pokemon that have access to reliable recovery and don't mind the Attack drop, like Slowbro and Milotic.

If Florges is running Synthesis over Protect, it should always prioritize Synthesis over Wish to heal itself; however, if Protect is chosen, it can be used as a way to scout for potential Choice item users such as Zoroark, Shaymin, and Gardevoir and guarantee that Florges will be able to receive its own Wish. Do note that the combination of Wish and Protect is fairly obvious if Florges is low on HP, which the opponent can use to their advantage to gain momentum. Even though Florges has fantastic bulk, its vulnerability to all three forms of entry hazards can easily turn 3HKOs from Pokemon such as Choice Specs Gardevoir and Choice Band Sneasel into 2HKOs with only Stealth Rock up. Trick users such as Gardevoir and Rotom-C are able to cripple Florges with an unwanted Choice item, which will make it difficult for Florges to support its team. However, if Florges receives a Choice Scarf, it will be able to outspeed both Jolly Honchkrow and Tyrantrum.

Team Options
========

This Florges set fits better on stall teams due to its ability to provide vital cleric support to stall staples such as Pyukumuku and Espeon; however, it can fit also on balance teams as a fantastic cleric if needed. Pokemon like Dragalge, Bronzong, and Jellicent that lack reliable recovery or are vulnerable to volatile status conditions such as burns and Toxic appreciate Florges's ability to pass Wishes and remove status conditions with Aromatherapy. Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Salazzle, Dragalge, and Doublade are able to wall Florges due to their resistance to Fairy, so Ground-types such as Gligar and Flygon make good partners. Florges complements Pokemon like Slowbro, Umbreon, and Bronzong that are threatened by Dark-types such as Sharpedo and Zoroark and Fighting-types such as Kommo-o and Heracross since Florges functions as a decent check to them. Psychic-types such as Cresselia and Slowking are able to function as great checks to Poison-types such as Venusaur and Salazzle, while Florges is able to check Dark-types and provide them with Aromatherapy support. In addition, Espeon and Xatu are able to reflect Taunts from Pokemon such as Comfey and Jellicent in addition to bouncing back entry hazards for Florges. Bulky Water-types like Mantine, Jellicent, and Milotic can check threatening Steel-types as well as Fire-types such as Moltres well. Moreover, Jellicent, Pyukumuku, and Quagsire are able to check setup sweepers such as Slowbro and Snorlax that are able to take advantage of Florges.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Hidden Power Fire gives Florges a way to deal with Steel-types such as Escavalier and Doublade that it would otherwise have trouble with. Psychic can be used to allow Florges to lure in and take out Poison-types such as Salazzle, Roserade, and Venusaur that can threaten it. Remember that Psychic will also do more damage to Poison-type Pokemon that are neutral to Fairy such as Dragalge and Toxicroak. Magic Coat enables Florges to reflect crippling moves such as status conditions, if it does not run Aromatherapy, and Taunt from Pokemon such as Comfey, Mismagius, and defensive Moltres. Toxic provides Florges with an easier matchup against bulkier foes with recovery such as Slowbro, Mantine, and Milotic as well as Unaware users like Pyukumuku and Quagsire.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Pokemon that Resist Fairy**: Fire-types such as Moltres and Rotom-H, Poison-types such as Venusaur and Roserade, and Steel-types such as Registeel and Doublade all resist Florges's Moonblast, while the latter two types threaten Florges with super effective STAB moves. Salazzle deserves a mention because it 4x resists Fairy and can either stop Florges with Taunt or just set up Nasty Plot against it. However, Steel- and Poison-types must be wary of Florges's potential coverage options in Hidden Power Fire and Psychic, respectively.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Even with maximum Defense investment, Florges still struggles to take hits from powerful physical attackers such as Stoutland, Feraligatr, Dhelmise, and Bruxish.

**Taunt and Encore**: Taunt users such as Jellicent, Mismagius, and Gligar are able to prevent Florges from setting up Calm Mind, healing itself with Synthesis, or supporting its team with Wish and Aromatherapy. Comfey is the Taunt user Florges must watch out for, since it can Taunt Florges and proceed to set up Calm Mind on it while healing off any damage accumulated from Moonblast. Meanwhile, Encore users such as Whimsicott and Salazzle are able to lock Florges into a move, which can be detrimental because Florges must be conservative with its PP.

**Unaware and Haze**: Unless Florges is running Toxic, Unaware users such as Quagsire and Pyukumuku are able to wall Calm Mind Florges by ignoring its stat boosts, and both are able to tank multiple Moonblasts from it very well. Haze users such as Dragalge and Mantine can temporarily stop Florges by removing its boosts, which will stop a potential sweep immediately.

in overview mention underwhelming HP makes it give "weak" wishes

in usage tips of cm mention that reun and slowbro beat florges w/ psyshock (as opposed to higher pp on recovery)
Pokemon like Cresselia, Umbreon, and Doublade that are threatened by Dark-types such as Zoroark and Umbreon and Fighting-types such as Pangoro and Heracross appreciate Florges functioning as a decent check to them. Cresselia specifically functions as a great partner for Florges since it benefits from Aromatherapy support and Cresselia is able to check Poison-types such as Roserade and Salazzle very well.
split this up cuz its very confusing
Entry hazard removers such as Mantine and Cryogonal are able to prevent Florges from taking any unnecessary damage.
remove, florges isnt weak to hazards and has its own recovery
Pokemon that are vulnerable to status conditions like burns and Toxic such as Dragalge, Bronzong, and Jellicent appreciate Aromatherapy support through Florges.
this feels kinda unnecessary when the first bulletpoint mentions how its good on balance/stall for its ability to clear status.. maybe merge this with the first point. also remove drag as an example that gets bothered by burn, mention gligar instead

for 2nd set I dont like how u mention florges is a good switchin to shaymin since its 2hko'd by seed flare after SR and the spdef drop could be a thing .-. remove that example, mention something else like sharpedo

Note that due to Florges's decently high Special Attack stat, it is able to pick up KOs on Pokemon such as Tyrantrum, Honchkrow, and Kommo-o as well as being able to significantly damage Pokemon like Flygon and Heracross.
remove this (from both sets), this is unnecessary information, anyone with half a brain will know that

save Aromatherapy for a Pokemon that does not appreciate burns such as Dragalge and Bronzong
not the best examples. jellicent and cresselia are better (for toxic, dont mention burn, 6% is nothing)

Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Moltres, Dragalge, and Doublade are able to wall Florges due to their resistance to Fairy, therefore Ground-types such as Gligar and Nidoqueen make good partners.
moltres doesnt fit here since the examples you gave get bopped by moltres, put it in a separate bulletpoint along w/ other fire types (mainly just salazzle)
Steel-types such as Bronzong and Registeel have perfect type synergy with Florges since Steel-types are able to check opposing Steel-types
i dont like this, there isnt really a stall that can check another steel in the tier.. remove this part, and remove the part about steel types checking poisons. they all get bopped by nidoqueen and salazzle, and only really check dragalge which isnt as common as the former two.

Pokemon such as Gligar and Mantine are able to provide Florges with crucial entry hazard removal, which will prevent Florges from taking any unnecessary damage.
remove, not weak to hazards

remove honchkrow and tyrantrum from c&c and add other physical attackers that dont get OHKO'd

QC approved 1/3 if u do all of that

- Setup Sweeper stoppers feels like such a mouthful to me. Having 2 different mentions for Unaware users and Haze can make your point go through better since that section aims to be at direct as possible. Due a part for unaware users and one for Haze cause every bulky win condition despise Haze. Wouldnt mention Phazers cause stuff like Donphan wont be staying in and risking taking damage taking damage against Florges.

- The trick mention on checks and counters is more suited for Usage Tips instead since the it is something the user has to be aware when using any Florges set since a choice locked Florges is 90% useless. Mention it on Usage Tips for both sets instead, as said. You covering that weakness on overview makes me feel isnt needed on checks and counters as well.

- It is not true that Florges lacks an ability, it can be confusing to tell someone that especially if the reader doesnt know about Pokemon. Rephrase, mention how it cant make use of its abilities for its benefit or how they are useless.

Some other things I see but they can be fixed with the prose. This is pretty good. QC 2/3 once implemented

Gonna start leaving this quote, not everything is applicable to you but the ideas are the same regardless

Why wincon / win condition and not sweeper? This isn't a battle commentary where you are explaining how to create a specific situation for Bisharp to sweep (ex weakening check to x% so Bisharp KOes them without taking damage and thus can survive another attack and KO that mon etc.). Basically what I'm getting at is calling a Pokemon itself a "win condition" is a misuse of the word "condition", and I know you guys are considering your position in the match or all the factors involved in actually winning with the given Pokemon, but newer players tend to pick up this terminology without considering "winning" (ie using it interchangeably with sweeper).

(Examples: Fire Emblem, FF Tactics victory conditions: defeat all enemies, defeat the leader, survive for x turns--all these are based on the state of the game. YGO: reducing opp to 0 LP, having Exodia in your hand, drawing any number of cards that enables you to get Magical Scientist and Catapult Turtle out on the first turn, etc. Basically any game that has defined "winning").

Edit: Here's something else I thought of about why you should care regarding new players and such. Since you are a tutor, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say you feel good when your tutee shows improvement right? Small extension of tutees to newer players, let's say there's a game on stours and peeps are in the lobby. Someone says "What's player X's wincon?" From a rando, would you rather hear "Clefable because it has good defense and can set up Calm Mind" or "Clefable completely wrecks this team cuz all X needs to do is get Pokemon A down to 60% and it can't stop Clef anymore". Definitely the second right? It shows they have at least grasped the basics of each team, and this type of thinking gives them a tool to improve on their own.

Problem is right now new players are going to answer the first because that is the most prevalent way people use "wincon". Bad cuz it offers nothing to the battle discussion. ex from OU forum

"it starts using Bulk Up to patch its low atk and makes it have a good amount of def and spD, being a dangerous win condition late game"

A new player reading this will probably say "Talonflame cuz Bulk Up boosts its attack and defense" instead of "Talonflame cuz if it gets a Bulk Up vs Clef lategame, nothing can stop it", when talking about an actual match.

Ideally people start only using "wincon" in regards to battles, so that when anyone hears the term, they also hear how people assess both sides (teams and position) in regards to actually winning.
Instead, "... can pull off a sweep" or similar

CM Florges actually beats Nidoqueen lacking a Poison move which is fairly common nowadays due to the prevalence of Mantine requiring Nidoqueen to run Thunderbolt over Sludge Wave or Poison Jab, so mention that somewhere. Be specific about what layers of entry hazards are needed to 2HKO Florges with Swellow's Boomburst etc, it's useful information. Make Protect the first slash over Synthesis and mention it first in the moves section. Protect is usually the better option since Florges can be 2HKOed by powerful attacks rather easily, and protect prevents that if you are slower (which you usually are).

Pokemon like Dragalge, Bronzong, and Jellicent that lack reliable recovery or are vulnerable to volatile status conditions such as burns and Toxic appreciate Florges's ability to pass Wishes and remove status conditions with Aromatherapy. Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Salazzle, Dragalge, and Doublade are able to wall Florges due to their resistance to Fairy, therefore Ground-types such as Gligar and Nidoqueen make good partners. Florges complements Pokemon like Slowbro, Umbreon, and Bronzong that are threatened by Dark-types such as Sharpedo and Zoroark and Fighting-types such as Kommo-o and Heracross since Florges functions as decent checks to them. Psychic-types such as Cresselia and Slowking are able to function as great checks to Poison-types such as Venusaur and Salazzle while Florges is able to check Dark-types and provide them with Aromatherapy support. In addition, Espeon and Xatu are able to reflect back Taunts from Pokemon such as Comfey and Jellicent, (AC) as well as entry hazards with Magic Bounce (not sure if 'with Magic Bounce' is necessary) for Florges.

Hidden Power Fire provides Florges a way to deal with Steel-types such as Escavalier and Doublade that it would otherwise have trouble with. Psychic can be used to allow Florges to lure in Poison-types such as Nidoqueen, Roserade, and Venusaur that can threaten Florges. Remember that Psychic will do more damage to the Pokemon that are neutral to Fairy such as Dragalge and Toxicroak. Magic Coat enables Florges to reflect back crippling moves such as status conditions, if it forgoes Aromatherapy, (isn't it also useful in conserving Aromatherapy's PP?) and Taunt from Pokemon such as Comfey, Mismagius, and defensive Moltres. Toxic provides Florges an easier matchup against bulkier foes with recovery such as Slowbro, Mantine, and Milotic as well as Unaware users like Pyukumuku and Quagsire.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Pokemon that Resist Fairy**: Fire-types such as Moltres and Rotom-H, Poison-types such as Venusaur and Nidoqueen, and Steel-types such as Registeel and Doublade all resist Florges's Moonblast, while the latter two types threaten Florges with super- effective STAB moves. Salazzle deserves a mention because it 4x resists Fairy and can either stop Florges with Taunt or just set up Nasty Plot on it. However, Steel- and Poison-types must be wary of Florges's potential coverage options through in Hidden Power Fire and Psychic, (AC) respectively.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Even with maximum Defense investment, Florges still struggles to take hits from powerful physical attackers such as Stoutland, Feraligatr, Dhelmise, and Bruxish.

**Taunt and Encore**: Taunt users such as Jellicent, Mismagius, and Gligar are able to prevent Florges from setting up Calm Mind, healing itself with Synthesis, and or supporting its team with Wish or Aromatherapy. Comfey is the Taunt user Florges must watch out for since it place can Taunt Florges under Taunt and proceed to set up Calm Mind on it, as well as the ability to while healing off any damage accumulated from Moonblast. Meanwhile, Encore users such as Whimsicott and Salazzle are able to lock Florges into a move, which can be detrimental because Florges must be conservative with its PP.

**Unaware and Haze**: Unless Florges is running Toxic, Unaware users such as Quagsire and Pyukumuku are able to wall Florges by ignoring its stat boosts, and both are able to tank multiple Moonblasts from it very well. Haze users such as Dragalge and Mantine can temporarily stop Florges by removing its boosts, which will stop a potential sweep immediately.

[OVERVIEW]

With an amazing defensive typing and fantastic natural bulk, Florges is able to take on multiple threats such as Heracross, Kommo-o, Kingdra, and Umbreon with ease. Florges's access to a variety of utility moves, such as Wish, Synthesis, and Calm Mind, allow allows it to function as a formidable setup sweeper and cleric in the RU tier. Meanwhile, Florges falls victim to Trick and Taunt users such as Rotom-C, Gardevoir, and Jellicent as well, as both limit its ability to set up and support its team. Lastly, Florges is unable to benefit from either one of its abilities, Flower Veil and Symbiosis, since they are much more suitable in the double battles format as opposed to single battles.

Moonblast acts as Florges's primary STAB attack that compliments and complements its decently high Special Attack, allowing it to hit Pokemon such as Kommo-o, Flygon, and Umbreon hard. Synthesis provides Florges a way to recover up; however, Synthesis's its potency is reduced by weather effects such as Gigalith's Sand Stream, but it is also amplified under Torkoal or Ninetales's Drought. Aromatherapy allows Florges to act as a cleric by removing status conditions for itself and its team, (comma) Aromatherapy also makes also making it difficult for defensively oriented (RH) teams that rely on status conditions to whittle down bulkier teammates.

Set Details

The EV spread along with a Bold nature helps remedy Florges's lackluster Defense, allowing it to take attacks from Pokemon such as Sharpedo, Virizion, and Heracross better. Remember that using large amounts of Special Defense investment is unnecessary, (AC) since Florges already has amazing natural Special Defense which that is further amplified by Calm Mind.

Usage Tips
========

Florges can be used as a pivot into special attackers such as Shaymin, Goodra, and Yanmega in order to set up Calm Mind. Florges is also able to set up Calm Mind on Pokemon it has the type advantage over such as Umbreon, Chesnaught, and Sharpedo, as well as Nidoqueen without a Poison-type move. After Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Rotom-H, Salazzle, and Registeel have been removed, Florges has the potential to pull off a sweep. It is also important to have Unaware users such as Pyukumuku and Quagsire, Haze users such as Mantine and Dragalge, and Trick users such as Espeon and Rotom-M Rotom-C removed as well. Remember that due to Florges's naturally high Special Attack, it can still hit decently hard with Moonblast without any Calm Mind boosts. Use Aromatherapy and Synthesis sparingly, (AC) since both of these moves only have 8 PP; therefore, (AC) it is usually not the best idea to set up Calm Mind on Pokemon with access to Toxic such as Porygon2, Mantine, and defensive Moltres, (AC) since they can force Florges to use up these moves quickly. While Florges does have the tools to pull off a sweep, it can struggle against other setup sweepers such as Comfey, (AC) due to its access to Taunt, and Slowbro and Reuniclus, (AC) due to their access to higher PP recovery moves as well as Psyshock to target Florges's low Defense. Particularly, Florges struggles the most against Curse Snorlax due to Rest's instant recovery of all of Snorlax's HP, (AC) while Snorlax's has naturally high Special Defense, which allows allowing it to tank boosted Moonblasts, and it is able its ability to hit Florges physically. Try to avoid switching Florges on entry hazards, (AC) since it is vulnerable to all three forms of them; they can turn potential 3HKOs from Pokemon such as Swellow and Tectonic Rage Flygon into easy 2HKOs. Trick and Switcheroo users such as Espeon and Noivern are able to cripple Florges by giving it a Choice item that prevents Florges from sweeping, since it will not be able to setup set up anymore. However, if Florges receives a Choice Scarf, it will be able to outspeed both Jolly nature Honchkrow and Tyrantrum.

Team Options
========

Florges fits well on balance and stall teams due to its ability to function as a solid bulky setup sweeper while providing Aromatherapy support for its team. Therefore, Pokemon that are vulnerable to status conditions like burns and Toxic such as Gligar, Bronzong, and Jellicent appreciate Florges's Aromatherapy support through Florges. Due to Florges's vulnerability to Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types such as Salazzle and Registeel, Ground-types like Flygon, Nidoqueen, and Gligar make great partners since they have the type advantage, most of the time, over these three types. Steel-types such as Bronzong, Escavalier, and Registeel can also work well with Florges due to their type synergy, with Steel-types being able to deal with opposing Steel- and Poison-types while Florges can apply pressure on Fighting-types such as Kommo-o and Heracross. Pokemon like Cresselia, Umbreon, and Doublade that are threatened by Dark-types such as Zoroark and Umbreon and Fighting-types such as Pangoro and Heracross appreciate Florges functioning as a decent check to them. Bulkier Psychic-types such as Cresselia and Slowking function as a great partners for Florges, (AC) since it benefits they benefit from Aromatherapy support and Cresselia is able to check Poison-types such as Roserade and Salazzle very well. Water-types such as Mantine, Jellicent, and Milotic are able to apply deal with the aforementioned Steel-types as well as Fire-types such as Moltres well. Mantine and Milotic are also able to check bulky setup sweepers such as Slowbro and Snorlax with Haze while Jellicent is able to stallbreak shut them down them with Taunt. Florges appreciates Toxic Spikes support from Pokemon such as Roserade and Dragalge, (AC) since it will be able to weaken bulkier foes such as Pyukumuku, Porygon2, and Slowbro.

Moonblast functions as Florges's main STAB move which and also has a chance to lower the target's Special Attack, (AC) Moonblast also hits hitting decently hard due to Florges's base Special Attack and Fairy-type STAB being able to hit most of the tier for Fairy's good neutral damage coverage. Wish allows Florges to function as a solid cleric, allowing it to heal up its teammate or itself. Protect is an option over Synthesis that can guarantee Florges will be able to receive its Wish while also providing a scouting tool against Pokemon such as Gardevoir and Zoroark. Synthesis is primarily used as a form of instant recovery. Remember that its potency is reduced in Gigalith's Sand Stream (RC) but heightened under Torkoal and Ninetales's Drought. Florges is an excellent pivot into special attackers such as Sharpedo, Goodra, and Yanmega, due to its high Special Defense stat, as well as physical attackers it has the type advantage over such as Heracross and Pangoro. With Wish, Florges is able to heal its team whenever it's required. However, do note that it can be fairly obvious who Florges will pass the Wish to if you have one or two low health Pokemon. Due to Aromatherapy, (AC) and Synthesis, (AC) having 8 PP and Wish's having only 10 low PP, (though I'm reasonably sure Wish has 16?) it is important to use these three moves sparingly throughout the match. For example, save Aromatherapy for a Pokemon that does not appreciate Toxic such as Jellicent and Cresselia rather than on Pokemon that are burned like Slowbro and Milotic that have access to reliable recovery while they and don't mind the Attack drop. If Florges is running Synthesis over Protect, it should always prioritize Synthesis to heal itself; however, if Protect is chosen it can be used as a way to scout for potential Choice item users such as Zoroark, Shaymin, and Gardevoir and guarantees guarantee that Florges will be able to receive its own Wish. Do note that the combination of Wish and Protect is fairly obvious if Florges is low on HP, which the opponent can use to their advantage to gain momentum. Even though Florges has fantastic bulk, its vulnerability to all three forms of entry hazards can easily turn 3HKOs from Pokemon such as Choice Specs Gardevoir and Choice Band Sneasel into 2HKOs with only Stealth Rocks Rock up. Trick users such as Gardevoir and Rotom-M Rotom-C are able to cripple Florges with an unwanted choiced Choice item, which will make it difficult for Florges to support its team. However, if Florges receives a Choice Scarf, it will be able to outspeed both of Jolly nature Honchkrow and Tyrantrum.

Hidden Power Fire provides gives (it should be "provides Florges with", but that makes three "with"s in one sentence) Florges a way to deal with Steel-types such as Escavalier and Doublade that it would otherwise have trouble with. Psychic can be used to allow Florges to lure in and take out Poison-types such as Nidoqueen, Roserade, and Venusaur that can threaten it. Remember that Psychic will also do more damage to the Poison-type Pokemon that are neutral to Fairy such as Dragalge and Toxicroak.

===================

**Pokemon that Resist Fairy**: Fire-types such as Moltres and Rotom-H, Poison-types such as Venusaur and Nidoqueen, and Steel-types such as Registeel and Doublade all resist Florges's Moonblast, while the latter two types threaten Florges with super effective STAB moves. Salazzle deserves a mention because it 4x resists Fairy and can either stop Florges with Taunt or just set up Nasty Plot on against it.

**Taunt and Encore**: Taunt users such as Jellicent, Mismagius, and Gligar are able to prevent Florges from setting up Calm Mind, healing itself with Synthesis, or supporting its team with Wish or and Aromatherapy.

**Unaware and Haze**: Unless Florges is running Toxic, Unaware users such as Quagsire and Pyukumuku are able to wall Calm Mind Florges (the part about stat boosts isn't applicable to cleric Florges) by ignoring its stat boosts, and both are able to tank multiple Moonblasts from it very well. Haze users such as Dragalge and Mantine can temporarily stop Florges by removing its boosts, which will stop a potential sweep immediately.
