In X&Y, the great hero Farfetch'd has received an extraordinary gift in the newly increased critical hit ratio. Now, with it's signature item the Stick, moves like Slash, Leaf Blade, and Night Slash all have a 100% critical hit ratio. Now the honorable Duck can cleave it's opponents in half with ease, as Slash and Night Slash essentially have 105 base power and ignore the opponent's defense boosts, while Leaf Blade hits hard with what is essentially a base power of 135. Additionally, due to the Steel type losing it's resistance to Dark, Farfetch'd now has an easier time with Steel type opponents.
After the traditional 3 turn waiting period carried over from Black and White, even mighty foes such as the great Regirock shall fall to a single Leaf Blade. Even the great Steelix falls in two hits. And we mustn't forget that Brave Bird still has a high chance of getting a critical hit as well, and it is still Farfetch'd's most powerful move and used to take out foes such as Breloom and even the mighty Scizor.
It must be remembered, however, that even after the three turn waiting period, many of these threats will still outspeed the great Farfetch'd, such as Ninjask, Archeops, and Accelgor. And Dodrio. And Miltank. And Flareon...
