I noticed that Mega Abomasnow, in addition to being the meta's first truly viable TR mega (sorry Mawile) also does a fantastic job at keeping the meta's prominent Intimidate users at bay. So SwagPulse Fini + physical attackers seemed like a good fit here, and the type synergy with Abomasnow was looking good too. Hoopa-U is the obligatory offensive TR setter, and it works well with Fini which can give it both recovery and attack boosts. I added Victini mainly because I wanted a second TR setter that also helped the Ferrothorn match-up (a beta version of this team had Diancie in this slot), but as it turns out a V-Create Victini at +2 attack is an absolute beast. On this team, Fini moves before Victini inside of TR, so you can power up Victini prior to launching a V Create or Bolt Strike -- I can name on one hand the mons that want to absorb either of those hits lol. With a solid FWG core + Hoopa-U complete, I added in Snorlax as the obligatory late-game wincon that just doesn't die assuming its checks are cleared out, and I'd say the first four mons on this team do a good job of exactly that. Finally, I added Scrafty for Intimidate and Fake Out support, but added my own personal twist; Eject Button is a seriously underrated item that so far has only seen mainstream use on Politoed. Scrafty is a good candidate for Eject Button as it provides upfront utility, but can quickly become dead weight if left on the field. Eject Button lets this team maintain more favorable positioning overall.

e: I actually ended up deciding to run 11 Speed IVs on Hoopa-U so Fini can Swagger Hoopa-U *before* it attacks.

Pretty standard look at Aboma trick room but I wanted a fast mode to go with it. Aboma clicks blizzard and grass moves while Hoopa sets trick room and maximizes trick room turns. Koko + fini let me control terrain and use Koko as a really threatening special attacker using nature power. Lando-t provides secondary speed control outside of trick room. Aegis is toxic to prevent lax from ending me and to just stop bulky threats like Roost mence or Milotic.

Sylveon.

Description ::
  • I initially started with the core of Mega-Aboma + Diancie, which is actually a nifty core as they take on each other's checks decently well, i.e. Diancie takes on most fire types not named flash cannon heatran and Aboma just rolls over most ground types. Diancie's EVs allow it to survive +2 Thousand Arrows from zygarde which is a decent benchmark considering the team doesn't have intimidate support and weakness policy complements nicely with it's bulk and typing.
  • Aegislash just complements the core pretty decently, taking on various steel types and subbing up against celesteela(slightly creeped that thing) and ferrothorn quite easily. Z-Flash Cannon is a nice tech in general due to the lax spam going on these days easily taking it out from around 60% and most importantly taking on Mega-metagross.
  • Next up, Hoopa was added as another trick room setter since by this time I had realised that this team was gonna be slow as ass, and further helps against opposing psychic types and aegislash.
  • And at last I wanted a solid win-con, and just ended up using belly drum lax. Fini has reflect helping it get off a belly drum in most matches and the best thing is this lax version is totally different from the curse-lax, since it is so much more threatening immediately. Protect on lax helps a lot against opposing z-moves and recycle wasn't necessary on the set considering I only was going to belly drum once a match and had heal pulse on fini. In addition fini also has nature's madness providing the ultimate chip for various attackers in the team.

  • so once i finished the team i realised its the same team i co-built with Yoda2798 except abomasnow is snorlax on that team. ironically, i was also considering subbing one of the tapus for snorlax, but taking out bulu made me a bit too landorus weak (plus i like grassy stab with abomasnow) while taking out tapu fini left some heatran holes. feel free to make either switch if its better
  • this is focus blast abomasnow because heatran thinks its a check to you, so not (careful though, as it does not ohko, but you can still catch it off guard by double targetting since its not likely to protect). i can also dump the massive 4 remaining evs into spdef to give genesect attack i guess (the av set is annoying for this team)
  • heatran is there to melt steel types, abuse the water check that is our mega, and eruption is good in trick room
  • hoopa is trick room setter with misty seed for bulk, dont think i should elaborate much on why its good
  • tapu fini is glue of the team, landorus and salamence counter, amazing wincondition under trick room, primary heatran check
  • diancie is your second setter that abuses physical bulk dstorms. what you can do here to make it interesting is run another misty seed as with both defensive boosts, trick room and spread, it becomes a gigantic threat. life orb if you prefer damage like myself

Standard Abomasnow, EVs are to make sure that any non-AV Kartana is KO'd after hail from Bilzzard and that Tapu Koko is a 2HKO. Volcanion's here since it has a good matchup against Heatran and the Tapus, EVs help it live a LO Timid Koko Tbolt and Modest Lele Shattered Psyche. LO Hoopa-Unbound is a monster that uses Trick Room. Clefairy is there to support the team whenever I need to get those powerful attacks off. Landorus is kinda just there to Intimidate, Z move, and make it so I'm not totally reliant on Trick Room. Nihilego is my other Trick Roomer, and I chose it over Diancie because I felt that Diancie wasn't offensive enough for my team. Also Beast Boost. The EVs are just max Defense, Max HP, and just enough Special Attack to get a Beast Boost in Special Attack.

Everyone has been going with the obvious HailRoom ft Lax and Fini for this build as expected so I wanted to share something a little more fun I built featuring Abomasnow. Everyone see's me as the hail user which isn't untrue but I wouldn't consider this one of the more serious hail teams i've built. The idea is to keep hail up while overpowering the opponent with numerous special threats such as Greninja and Darkrai. Jynx was something that brought the team a faster than average Fake Out and always gave the team a way to spread some status around in the form of lovely kiss, she can also benefit from opponents psychic terrain as well as the hail the teams based around. The teams heavily reliant on Abomasnows natural bulk to maintain hail and you can't be afraid to leave Aboma in on attacks, it lives essentially everything.

I'm saving my own hailroom team for a rmt in the next couple weeks n_n

TR is where Abomasnow shines best, and GenOne has the best TR-centric team.

IDK why you guys are voting for mizu's team - she said herself that it's not a serious team. Her team appears super frail and gets crushed easily once the speed advantage is lost. Wait for her to post her hailroom RMT ;)
