NU Dodrio

[OVERVIEW]

Dodrio's high Speed and Attack stats make it a solid revenge killer and potential setup sweeper in NU. At maximum Speed, Dodrio can outspeed threats such as Sigilyph, Typhlosion, Mismagius, and Virizion. Additionally, it can OHKO fast Pokemon such as Hitmonlee, Scyther, Mismagius, and Houndoom with a strong STAB Brave Bird. With Brave Bird and coverage for Steel-tpes and Rock-types in Jump Kick, Dodrio can hold Flyinium Z or Fightinium Z to use the corresponding Z-Move as a fantastic wallbreaker. Dodrio's access to the move Swords Dance makes these attacks even more dangerous. However, because Dodrio is too frail to take many attacks. Dodrio also faces heavy competition from Braviary, which is bulkier and can also set up with Bulk Up.

Moves
========
Swords Dance gives Dodrio a huge boost in power, which can allow it to sweep or do significant damage to the opposing team. Brave Bird is Dodrio's strongest Flying-type STAB move, capable of 2HKOing most Pokemon that don't resist it if Dodrio is holding a Life Orb. STAB Return deals no recoil damage and dent most switch-ins. It hits Electric-types such as Manectric, Lanturn, and Electivire and is a good option for hitting Pokemon like Garbodor and Druddigon, which could quickly wear Dodrio down with a combination of residual damage and Brave Bird recoil. If Dodrio's team desires priority, one can replace Return with Quick Attack. At +2, Quick Attack can do up to 69% to Sceptile and OHKOes Sneasel 94% of the time after Stealth Rock damage. Other threats, including Virizion and Emboar, can also take more than 50% from a +2 Quick Attack. Lastly, Jump Kick allows Dodrio to hit the Rock- and Steel-types it cannot do much damage to with its other attacks. This includes Pokemon like Steelix, Aurorus, Regirock, Klinklang, and Rhydon.

Set Details
========
252 Attack EVs and 252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature give Dodrio the speed and power necessary for sweeping through teams, and a Jolly nature ensures that Dodrio outspeeds the likes of Sigilyph, Scyther, Delphox, Manectric, and Mismagius. Flyinium Z allows Dodrio to use Supersonic Skystrike, which can inflict massive amounts of damage on immediate threats or walls. Dodrio OHKOes Drapion after Stealth Rock damage with Supersonic Skystrike and OHKOes Slowbro at +2. Supersonic Skystrike also does not make contact, making it very useful when Dodrio is up against Pokemon like Druddigon, Vileplume, and Garbodor. All-Out Pummeling from Fightinium Z can used to break through Steel- and Rock-types such as Steelix and Rhydon, KOing both at +2 if Steelix's Sturdy is broken. A Life Orb can be used to strengthen all of Dodrio's attacks, and it even +2 Brave Bird to OHKO Vaporeon. Unboosted Life Orb Dodrio can OHKO Scyther, Sigilyph, and Delphox. However, the recoil from Brave Bird in conjunction with Life Orb significantly decreases Dodrio's longevity.

Usage Tips
========
With such high Speed and strong STAB attacks, Dodrio can function as a revenge killer, but it doesn't have to be kept off the field for an entire match. It can also be used to create offensive pressure or even just do heavy damage to one specific wall. Dodrio much prefers to enter the battle without taking prior damage, meaning slow U-Turns and Volt Switches are fantastic ways to get it in. Due to how fragile Dodrio is, it is recommended that one sets up Swords Dance only when Dodrio will take minimal damage or when the opponent is guaranteed to switch. Dodrio can scare out slower offensive Pokemon such as Emboar, Incineroar, and non-Unburden Hitmonlee by threatening them with super effective moves. This can allow you to predict a switch and get Dodrio to +2 without it taking any damage. Dodrio can use its Ghost and Ground immunities to switch in on such attacks, but this is very risky unless the foe is Choice-locked.

Team Options
========
Bulky pivots that take attacks for Dodrio such as Slowbro and Steelix pair very well. Slow U-turn users such as Xatu and Incineroar can allow Dodrio to cleanly enter the battle. Volt Switch and U-turn users that can create momentum, such as Rotom-C, can also be used. Xatu helps in preventing Stealth Rock, which keeps Dodrio healthy, while Incineroar and Rotom-C lure in Fighting- and Grass-types, respectively. Because of Dodrio's Stealth Rock weakness, entry hazard removal in the form of Hitmontop, Cryogonal, Golbat, Skuntank, and others is beneficial to it. Pokemon that appreciate Dodrio's wallbreaking ability, including other Normal- and Flying-types, Sneasel, and Drapion, act as good synergetic partners. The presence of entry hazards, including Stealth Rock and Spikes, are great for Dodrio, as they provide passive damage to further weaken foes and make sure that Steelix's Sturdy stays broken. This means that Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Steelix, which lure in Fighting-types and can set up Stealth Rock or Spikes, are great teammates.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Dodrio can be used with a Choice Band and the moves Brave Bird, Quick Attack, Jump Kick, and Knock Off. Quick Attack further helps Dodrio be a solid revenge killer, and Knock Off OHKOes Rotom, helps Dodrio remove Steelix's item, and removes potential Rocky Helmets. The issue with this set is that Dodrio is very fragile, meaning it can spam Brave Bird less than its competition, Braviary, can. Additionally, Dodrio lacks U-turn, meaning Braviary can better take advantage of Choice Band. This set also faces competition from Dodrio's standard set, it allows Dodrio to set up and switch between moves. Another option is Z-Mirror Move, which boosts Dodrio's attack two stages and uses the Z-Move version of the last used move, meaning that Dodrio could hypothetically come in on an Earthquake, be unaffected, and then attack with a +2 Tectonic Rage the next turn. The issue with this Z-Move is how situational it is, and Dodrio often wants to set up without having to use its Z-Move. Z-Acupressure, another setup move, raises a random stat by 2 stages and gives Dodrio a 50% critical hit rate, but due to how random in nature the move is, it's little more than a gimmick. Flail can do extraordinary damage to foes but can be tedious to set up and is outclassed by Reversal Unburden Hitmonlee. Finally, Pursuit can be useful for trapping and dealing good damage to Psychic- and Ghost-types, but Dodrio is outclassed as a Pursuit trapper by Sneasel, and Dodrio's movesets have no real room for Pursuit.

Checks and Counters
==============

**Steelix**: Steelix can take any hit from Dodrio and loses less than half of its health to a Jolly Life Orb Jump Kick. In return, Steelix can potentially 2HKO Dodrio with Heavy Slam. Steelix must be cautious of +2 All-Out Pummeling, however, as that will OHKO it if it does not have Sturdy intact.

**Rocky Helmet Users**: Because all of Dodrio's best moves make contact, Pokemon holding a Rocky Helmet can very quickly wear it down. Druddigon, Garbodor, Xatu, and Steelix are all Pokemon that potentially use Rocky Helmet. However, +2 Supersonic Skystrike can KO these threats while ensuring Dodrio takes no Rocky Helmet, Aftermath, or Rough Skin damage.

**Rock-types**: Rock-type Pokemon like Aurorus, Rhydon, Regirock, and Barbaracle resist both of Dodrio's STAB moves and only take notable damage from Jump Kick. In return, these Pokemon can throw off super effective STAB moves. However, they are heavily damaged or OHKOed by All-Out Pummeling.

**Stealth Rock**: Dodrio loses 25% of its maximum health when it switches into Stealth Rock. This means that it loses a decent amount of its longevity, especially combined with its most spammable move, Brave Bird, making it take recoil damage.

**Faster Offensive Pokemon and Priority**: Because Dodrio's mediocre bulk, Pokemon that are faster than it are able to inflict massive amounts of damage or even OHKO it. This includes the likes of Sneasel, Lycanroc, Cincinno, Unburden Hitmonlee, and common Choice Scarf users such as Braviary, Drapion, and Emboar. Priority moves can be an issue as well, though Quick Attack makes Dodrio less susceptible to them.

Overview
-Base 110 Speed and base 110 Attack makes Dodrio a respectably strong and fast physical attacker. this can be gathered from lookign at the graphic shown above on the dex, talk about what it outspeeds and why that makes dodrio viable.
-Access to Jump Kick allows Dodrio to hit Steel types, which otherwise wall it. It also has access to reliable recovery in Roost, a setup move in Swords Dance, and additional utility in Knock Off. again listing info that can be found in the moveset isn't what we're looking for here. talk about the moves it has and why that makes it deserve a spot on your team, don't talk about moves that aren't relevant to the sets your writing as a general rule. for example, you can say "dodrio's is one of the few normal ( or flyign) types that can break past sturdy steel and rock types thanks to Jump Kick.
-With strong STAB moves and Jump Kick, Dodrio can use Normalium Z, Flyinium Z, or Fightinium Z effectively. talk about how it uses it effectively against the metagame
-Dodrio is more or less a "glass cannon"; with base 70 defense, and base 60 HP and Special Defense, this Pokemon can almost only be used as an offensive threat. glass cannon is good here, as you should be listing negatives to the pokemon as well. but again, don't just list stats.

name: Setup Sweeper
move 1:Swords Dance
move 2: Brave Bird
move 3: Return
move 4: Jump Kick/Knock Off/Quick Attack
item: Life Orb/Flyinium Z/Fightinium Z i might be alone in this thinkign but i'd like to see qa slashed with return and have jump kick be the primary move on slash 4 with MAYBE qa slashed behind it as well. the bird relies on jump kick so much to get past steelix that I almost can't see myself running a set without it. i prob wouldnt run knock as it doesnt give a lot of good neutral coverage over jump kick. also fight and fly z should be over life orb
ability: Tangled Feet early bird is the better ability here
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 atk/ 4 def/ 252 spe formatting should be 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Moves
========
-Swords Dance gives Dodrio a huge boost in power, which can allow it to sweep or do significant damage to an opposing team.
-Brave Bird is Dodrio's strongest Flying STAB, capable of 2HKOing most Pokemon that don't resist the move if Dodrio is holding a Life Orb.
-Return is a Base 102 STAB move that deals no recoil damage, and is another physical attack that can put a dent into most switch ins.
-The final move slot most commonly goes to Jump Kick, which allows Dodrio to hit the Rock and Steel types it normally cannot do real damage to with its other attacks. However, Knock Off can be used to hit Ghost switch ins such as Jellicent and Cofagrigus. Additionally, the priority that Quick Attack offers can be nice to hit some Choice Scarf Pokemon that come in to revenge kill. talk about each option you list for moveslots in seperate bullet points. i dont think knock off is worth a mention at all as cofag commonly runs z move and brave bird hits every ghost barr rotom harder

Set Details
========
-252 Attack and 252 Speed with a Jolly nature gives Dodrio the speed and potential power to sweep through teams. you can afford to mention that jolly is important here because of its speed tier and what it outruns
- Though Life Orb gives additional 1.2x power to every move Dodrio executes, Flyinium Z and Fightinium Z can be used as a way to break some walls more effectively. Fightinium Z is used primarily for Steelix, which is almost always a good switch in to this Pokemon. it gives 1.3x power and i'd talk more about fly and fight z and what they do for dodrio, rn it almost feels like the tone of this sentence makes life orb sound better than both.

Usage Tips
========
-Dodrio much prefers to enter battle without taking prior damage, mean slow U-Turns/Volt Switches are fantastic ways to get this threat in. Additionally, Dodrio can work as a revenge killer in some situations.
-Try to use Dodrio in the late game, when most walls are weakened. Steelix is Dodrio's best check, as there is no way for Dodrio to OHKO it without prior damage. what other checks should i try to weaken? i think you should also mention that thanks to its speed dodrio acts as a solid revenge killer, so it doesnt have to stay in the back the whole game. a game where dodrio doesnt sweep isn't necessarily a lost game. you can also just force slower pokemon out and chip its checks with jump kick or its dual stabs.
-Due to how fragile this Pokemon is, it is recommended that one sets up Swords Dance only in a time where Dodrio will take minimal damage/when the opponent is guaranteed to switch. what kinds of scenarios, give examples.

Team Options
========
-Bulky Pokemon that can act as pivots to take attacks for Dodrio such as Slowbro and Steelix pair very well.
-Additionally, slow U-turners such as Xatu and Incineroar can act as ways to allow Dodrio to cleanly enter battle. Volt Switchers and U-turners that can create momentum, such as Rotom-Cut , can also be used well as a teammate.
weak to rocks so hazard removers that synergize well should go here, as well as offensive and defensive switch ins to dodrio checks. you can also mention other normal and flying types that appreciate dodrios ability to get through steelix and rhydon etc easier

Other Options
=============
-Dodrio can be used also with a Choice Band or Choice Scarf. Though Choice Band combines respectable power with high speed, this set is outclassed by the Swords Dance set. Choice Scarf makes Dodrio the fastest relevant Choice Scarf user in the tier, but forces the user to miss out on real sweeping power. Dodrio as a whole is outclassed by physical attackers in the tier like Sneasel and Emboar, both of which can run Choice Band sets (while Emboar can run Choice Scarf as well), and threaten the more prominent walls in NU such as Steelix, Slowbro, and Jellicent better than Dodrio can. why is cb outclassed? when would i want to use scarf dodrio, if ever? is dodrio really outclassed by those pokemon or do they aim to do different thigns? regardless it probably belongs more in the overview than here.
Checks and Counters
===================

Steelix: Steelix can live any hit from Dodrio, and takes less than half from a Jolly Life Orb Jump Kick. In return, Steelix can potentially damage Dodrio for more than half of its HP with a 100 base power Heavy Slam.

Rocky Helmet Users: Because All of Dodrio's best moves (bar Z moves) make physical contact, Pokemon holding a Rocky Helmet can very quickly wear it down. which pokemon are holding helmets? do they actually beat dodrio reliably even with helmet?

Rock Types: Rock types resist both of Dodrio's STAB moves, and only take real damage from Jump Kick. In return, these Pokemon can throw off super effective Rock moves. examples please
Stealth Rock: Though not quite a "counter", Dodrio loses 25% of its max health when it switches in on Stealth Rock. This means that along with being worn down by a potential Life Orb and being frail in general, Dodrio loses a quarter of its health by switching in on this hazard. i might change this to residual damage as dodrio can be forced to take rocks and recoil from bb, but leaving it as rocks is fine as well i suppose
Choice Scarf Pokemon: Common Choice Scarf Pokemon in the tier such as Emboar, Delphox, Hitmonlee, and Braviary can outspeed and kill standard Dodrio without a Choice Scarf.
Sneasel: Sneasel can outspeed Dodrio without a scarf, and can fire off super-effective Ice type attacks, including priority Ice Shard. i might change this one to "faster pokemon" or something as theres more to the list of pokemon that outrun and check dodrio than just sneasel
Comments in bold. Tag me when you've implemented this stuff and I'll give it another look before stamping.

i like the mention of braviary in the overview, but explain why and what kind of team you'd want to use dodrio on. if the pokemon was completely outclassed it wouldn't have an analysis after all. theres a ton of random formatting mistakes in here that should be cleaned up before the 2nd check (random bolding, no spaces between slashes, etc.) so check up on the grammar prose standards to get rid of any easy mistakes.

this is a good start QC 1/3

Overview
-Dodrio's high Speed stat allows it to outspeed major threats in the tier, including Drapion, Virizion, and Meloetta.
- Dodrio is one of the few Flying types that can break through Rock and Steel type walls because of its access to the move Jump Kick.
-With strong STAB moves and Jump Kick, Dodrio can use Normalium Z, Flyinium Z, or Fightinium Z. Normalium Z and Flyinium Z would be used to quickly faint major threats, while Fightinium Z would be used more often for the aforementioned Rock and Steel types that Dodrio would otherwise struggle with.
-Dodrio is more or less a "glass cannon"; because of this, Dodrio needs good hazard control and Slow U-turn teammates to get it in without taking damage.
-Dodrio is generally outclassed by Braviary, which is bulkier and has a easier time setting up in the current metagame.
- In addition to listing the threats Dodrio can outspeed, you could place more emphasis on those that it can KO with its powerful Brave Bird, such as Mismagius, Houndoom, Hitmonlee, Scyther, etc. that Braviary would miss out on.
- Even though you mentioned Normalium Z here, it is absolutely nowhere to be seen anywhere else in the analysis. Since you apparently aren't making use of it, remove this mention. Btw, you want to mention Swords Dance here too, since it's the main reason Dodrio would make use of Z-moves in the first place.
- I won't go as far as to say that Dodrio is 'outclassed' by Braviary; it just faces strong competition with it. I would also like to point out that Braviary is also stronger than Dodrio, and emphasize that Braviary sets up with Bulk Up.

Set Details
========
-252 Attack and 252 Speed with a Jolly nature gives Dodrio the speed and potential power to sweep through teams, while a Jolly nature ensures that Dodrio can still outspeed the likes of Virizon, which can OHKO Dodrio with Close Combat after rocks, and has an 18% chance to OHKO Dodrio with Stone Edge. Jolly also outspeeds Cyrogonal and Mismagius.
- Z moves have given Dodrio a lot more wallbreaking potential, with Flyinium Z being used to inflict heavy damage on switch-ins to Dodrio that are not Steel or Rock type. Fightinium Z is used to break through said Steel and Rock types such as Steelix and Rhydon. Life Orb is another option, and it can be used as a way to boost the power of all of Dodrio's attacking moves by 1.3x.
- You don't need to go into the specifics of what Virizion does to Dodrio (after all, why not do the same for Cryo and Magius); the implications are already pretty obvious given Dodrio's status as a glass cannon. Since the Speed tier between Jolly and Adamant Dodrio is pretty crowded, you can list more options such as Scyther and Delphox, up until the slowest threat that non-Jolly Dodrio fails to outspeed which is Sigilyph.
- Is that really what Flyinium Z is used for? I would imagine it is used either to inflict insane damage (being able to OHKO the likes of Slowbro after +2 and OHKO Drapion after Stealth Rock damage) or to provide Dodrio with a powerful Flying-type nuke that doesn't inflict recoil damage nor make contact, the latter being especially handy when taking out Garbodor, Druddigon, and Vileplume.
- It's a good rule of thumb to talk about items (or moves) in the order they are slashed in. Are you going to talk about Fightinium Z first, or are you going to slash Flyinium Z on the set first?
- Specify that All Out Pummeling OHKOes non-Sturdy Steelix and Rhydon after a +2 boost.
- Again, you don't have to list exact numbers that don't explain anything. Instead, tell us what the Life Orb boost can do for Dodrio (such as being able to OHKO Vaporeon with +2 LO Brave Bird, or being able to OHKO Sigilyph, Delphox, and Eviolite Scyther with LO Brave Bird). Also, obviously note on Life Orb recoil stacking with Brave Bird recoil which drastically shortens Dodrio's lifespan. Honestly, this is a pretty big drawback that would convinee me from removing it from the item slash (why would I use this over Flyinium or Fightinium again?), and just mention Life Orb in Set Details as an alternative item should the Z-slot already be used up.

Usage Tips
========
-Due to how fragile this Pokemon is, it is recommended that one sets up Swords Dance only in a time where Dodrio will take minimal damage/when the opponent is guaranteed to switch. This includes when a passive Pokemon is on the field, when an opponent is crippled, or on predicted switches.
- What kinds of passive Pokemon can Dodrio set up on that don't threaten it with status or excessive damage? An opponent crippled how? If you can't think of examples then I don't blame you because I personally struggle to see how Dodrio can set up safely without forcing the opponent out with the threat of a powerful Brave Bird (which would be the points I underlined). In this case, elaborate on the kinds of Pokemon Dodrio can force out for potential Swords Dance opportunities.
- You may also note that Swords Dance is not a major priority for Dodrio since it hits respectably hard without boosts as it is. Dodrio should only consider Swords Dance to either break bulkier cores or to clean up against a weakened offensive team with boosted Quick Attacks.

Team Options
========
- Due to its rock weakness, hazard removal in the form of Hitmontop, Cryogonal, Golbat, Skuntank and others are beneficial to Dodrio.
-Pokemon that appreciate Dodrio's breaking ability, including other Normal and Flying types, Sneasel, and Drapion act as good synergetic partners as well.
- You could list additional advantages those pivots have, such as resisting Dodrio's weaknesses or providing utility such as status or Stealth Rock.
- You can specify how these VoltTurners provide momentum for Dodrio. For example, Xatu can prevent Stealth Rock for Dodrio, Incineroar takes Ice-type moves and lures in Fighting-types for Dodrio, while Rotom-C easily baits in Grass-types.
- Dodrio likes entry hazard support, particularly Spikes as they keep Steelix's Sturdy broken. List entry hazard users and mention if they provide any more synergy for Dodrio (such as resisting weaknesses or baiting in Pokemon for Dodrio to threaten).

Other Options
=============
-Dodrio can be used also with a Choice Band as its item. Though Choice Band combines respectable power with high speed, this set is outclassed by the Swords Dance set. This is because when Dodrio is locked into a move, the opponent can switch out into a solid check, forcing Dodrio to switch out as well. Dodrio as a whole is outclassed by Braviary, who is bulkier, has access to Fighting coverage and setup moves as well, and is more generally versatile. For pure breaking power, Dodrio is also outclassed by Emboar, which has a deeper movepool and the ability Reckless.
Honestly this section is bashing Dodrio far more than is necessary and makes it seem like an unviable Pokemon. That's not what Other Options is; it's to touch upon any potential options Dodrio could consider but is held by shortcomings which you should elaborate.
- Choice Band (and probably Dodrio in general looking at what's written here) is a bit better than you give it credit for. CB can consist of Brave Bird, Jump Kick, Quick Attack, and Knock Off, with Choice Band Quick Attack being nice for picking off threats and Knock Off removing Rocky Helmets and Steelix's Leftovers while also smashing Rotom. Couple that with the Speed and those are really solid advantages over Braviary. If you want disadvantages to the set, it's that Dodrio lacks U-turn, its lesser HP and bulk makes it spam less Brave Birds than Braviary can, and it may compete with Dodrio's Flyinium Z set as it also has a Flying-type nuke (albeit only usable once), but can switch moves and set up.
- Mirror Move combined with Flyinium Z boosts Dodrio's Attack by 2 while allowing it to use a Z-Move of the move just used, meaning it could technically switch into an Earthquake and retaliate with a +2 Tectonic Rage. However, mention that this scenario is situational, and that Dodrio prefers having a setup move that is not dependent on its Z-move.
- Z-Acupressure boosts Dodrio's critical hit ratio to 50% of the time in addition to boosting a random stat by +2, which is hopefully Attack. Obviously, the random nature of the set means that it is just a gimmick at best.
- Dodrio has STAB on Flail which is incredibly strong at full power, but not only is it difficult to set up, it doesn't help against Dodrio's traditional checks and is outclassed by Reversal Hitmonlee, which has Unburden.
- Pursuit can be neat to corner frail Ghost- and Psychic-types, such as Mismagius, Delphox, and Sigilyph. However, it is less effective at this than Sneasel who has STAB on Pursuit, and Dodrio's movesets have little room for this move.

Checks and Counters
==============

Druddigon, Garbodor, Xatu, and Steelix are all Pokemon that potentially use Rocky Helmet in the tier.
Rock Types: Rock types resist both of Dodrio's STAB moves, and only take real damage from Jump Kick. In return, these Pokemon can throw off super effective Rock moves. Pokemon like this include Aurorus, Rhydon, Regirock, and Barbaracle.
Stealth Rock: Though not quite a "counter", Dodrio loses 25% of its max health when it switches in on Stealth Rock. This means that along with being worn down by a potential Life Orb and being frail in general, Dodrio loses a quarter of its health by switching in on this hazard.
Choice Scarf Pokemon: Common Choice Scarf Pokemon in the tier such as Emboar, Delphox, Hitmonlee, and Braviary can outspeed and kill standard Dodrio without a Choice Scarf.
Faster Offensive Pokemon: With Dodrio's mediocre bulk, Pokemon that're faster than it are able to inflict massive amounts of damage or even OHKO it. This includes the likes of Sneasel, Lycanroc, Cincinno, and Unburden Hitmonlee.
- First off, your formatting for C&C isn't correct. You should list each section like this (**Steelix**) and this (**Rocky Helmet Users**); check back on the analysis format if you're uncertain.
- You should mention what its counters/checks should watch out for. For example, Steelix should watch out for +2 All-Out Pummeling if its Sturdy is broken, while the Rocky Helmet users get KOed by +2 Supersonic Skystrike without laying a scratch on Dodrio.
- Way to be redundant about stating how much Stealth Rock does to Dodrio twice, and somehow missing out on Brave Bird recoil cutting further into Dodrio's longevity.
- Honestly, 'Choice Scarf Pokemon' and 'Faster Offensive Pokemon' can be combined together. You may even change that section into 'Faster Attacks' and throw in priority moves such as Ice Shard, Fake Out, Mach Punch, and Sucker Punch into the mix, though do note that Dodrio's access to Quick Attack makes it slightly less vulnerable to these.

Tag me when you're done and I'll look over it again for the 2nd check.

-Dodrio's high Speed stat allows it to outspeed major threats in the tier, including Drapion, Virizion, and Meloetta. Additionally, Dodrio's strength at +2 means it can OHKO threats such as Hitmonlee, Scyther, Mismagius, and Houndoom, all of which Braviary would miss out on.
Erm, you misunderstand me; Dodrio OHKOes all of these at +0 (this shows me u hadn't done as much homework on this as u should). I was referring to Dodrio's ability to outrun and immediately KO them, while Braviary would be outsped. After all, the Speed tier is the biggest advantage Dodrio has over Braviary.

-Life Orb can be used as a valuable way to strengthen Dodrio's attacks, and will even secure an OHKO at +2 with Brave Bird on Pokemon such as Vaporeon, Eviolite Scyther, Sigilyph, and Delphox.
Vaporeon is the only one among the 4 listed here that requires +2 for the OHKOed, as the other three drop to +0 LO Brave Bird. Be sure to learn how to separate between these.

-Dodrio can be used also with a Choice Band as its item. This set inlcudes the moves Brave Bird, Quick Attack, Jump Kick, and Knock Off. Quick Attack further helps Dodrio as a solid revenge killer, and Knock Off helps Dodrio remove Steelix's item, as well as potential Rocky Helmets. It also acts as a way to OHKO Rotom. The issue with this is that Dodrio is very fragile, meaning it can spam Brave Bird less than its competition, Braviary, can. This set faces competition from Dodrio's previously
Dodrio also lacks U-turn, which is a big advantage Braviary has to make Choiced sets more effective.

Implement these and u can QC 2/3 this and start writing it up.

Mention that Return on Dodrio hits Electric-types like Lanturn and Manectric in particular, and is good as a non-recoil STAB option against targets like Garbodor and Druddigon that might KO you with residual damage otherwise. You should also mention some specific mons that get OHKOed by +2 Quick Attack that would normally beat Dodrio (such as Sceptile probably?). You can also mention in Usage Tips that Dodrio can use its Ghost- and Ground-type immunities to switch into certain mons, but this is very risky unless they're Choice-locked.

Fantastic, thank you!

[OVERVIEW]

Dodrio's high Speed stat and respectable physical strength Attack (both its Speed and Attack are the same (110), so both are either high or respectable. Be consistent) makes it a solid revenge killer and potential setup sweeper in NU. At maximum Speed, Dodrio can outspeed threats such as Sigilyph, Typhlosion, Mismagius, and Virizion. Additionally, it can OHKO fast Pokemon such as Hitmonlee, Scyther, Mismagius, and Houndoom with a neutral strong STAB Brave Bird (saying "neutral" implies typing, as in neutral targets, like Normal hits Water neutrally. A better word is "unboosted", but it isn't needed here). This is important because Dodrio is more or less a "glass cannon"; it can deal large amounts of damage, but is too frail to take many attacks from the aforementioned Pokemon in return. (moved a few things for better flow; also, it's obvious that it deals large amounts of damage, so it doesn't need to be restated) With a strong STAB move in Brave Bird,(RC) and coverage for Steel-(AH) and Rock-types in Jump Kick, Dodrio can hold Flyinium Z and or Fightinium Z and use the corresponding Z moves Z-Move as a fantastic wallbreaking nukes nuke. Dodrio's access to the move Swords Dance makes these attacks even more dangerous. However,(AC) because Dodrio is more or less a "glass cannon",(AC) it is too frail to take many attacks.(period) Dodrio also faces heavy competition from Braviary, which is bulkier and can also set up with the move Bulk Up. Dodrio should be used on offensive teams looking for a fast and strong revenge killer or wallbreaker that can occasionally sweep.

Moves
========
Swords Dance gives Dodrio a huge boost in power, which can allow it to sweep or do significant damage to an opposing team. Brave Bird,(RC) meanwhile,(RC) is Dodrio's strongest Flying STAB move, capable of 2HKOing most Pokemon that don't resist the move it if Dodrio is holding a Life Orb. STAB Return is a Base 102 STAB move that deals no recoil damage,(RC) and is another physical attack that can put a dent into most switch-ins. Return can be used to hits Electric types such as Manectric, Lanturn, and Electivire,(RC) and is a good option to hit Pokemon like Garbodor or and Druddigon, which could wear down Dodrio extremely with residual damage if and Brave Bird were used recoil. The final move slot most commonly goes to Jump Kick, which allows Dodrio to hit the Rock and Steel-types it normally cannot do real damage to with its other attacks. (text needs to match order of moves on set) If priority is desired on a team Dodrio is used on, one can replace Return with Quick Attack. At +2, Quick Attack can do up to 69% to Sceptile,(RC) and OHKOes Sneasel 94% of the time with prior after Stealth Rock damage. Other threats, including Virizion and Emboar, can also take more than half of their health from a +2 Quick Attack. Lastly,(AC) Jump Kick allows Dodrio to hit the Rock- and Steel-types it cannot do much damage to with its other attacks.(period) (you should add a few examples)

Set Details
========
252 Attack EVs and 252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature gives give Dodrio the speed and potential power to sweep through teams, while and a Jolly nature ensures that Dodrio can still outspeeds the likes of Sigilyph, Scyther, Delphox, Manectric, and Mismagius,(RC) all of which an Adamant nature could not outspeed. (implied) As for the item, Z-(AH)Moves have given give Dodrio a lot more wallbreaking potential.(period),(RC) with Flyinium Z allows Dodrio to use Supersonic Skystrike,(AC) which can being used to inflict massive amounts of damage on immediate threats or walls. Dodrio OHKOes Drapion after Stealth Rock damage with Supersonic Skystrike,(RC) for example,(RC) and OHKOes Slowbro at +2. This incredibly strong Z move Supersonic Skystrike also does not make contact, making it very useful when Dodrio is up against Pokemon like Druddigon, Vileplume, and Garbodor. Fightinium Z Jump Kick All-Out Pummeling from Fightinium Z (use actual Z-Move names) is can be used to break through said Steel-(AH) and Rock-types such as Steelix and Rhydon,(AC) KOing both of them at +2. At +2, Dodrio knocks out Rhydon and Steelix with All Out Pummeling, assuming that Steelix's Sturdy is not intact. A final item option is a Life Orb. A Life Orb can be used as a valuable way to strengthen all of Dodrio's attacks, and will even it secures an OHKO at +2 with Brave Bird on Vaporeon with +2 Brave Bird. At neutral attack, Life Orb Dodrio can OHKO Scyther, Sigilyph, and Delphox. But because Life Orb takes inflicts a small amount of recoil, the recoil from Brave Bird in conjunction with Life Orb can very quickly decrease the Dodrio's longevity of Dodrio.

Usage Tips
========
With such high speed and strong STAB attacks, Dodrio can function as a revenge killer, and not a Pokemon one but it doesn't necessarily has have to keep stay (or "be kept", whichever you prefer) in the back for an entire match. It can also be used to create pressure,(RC) or even just to do heavy damage to one specific wall. Dodrio much prefers to enter the battle without taking prior damage, meaning slow U-Turns/Volt Switches U-turns and Volt Switches are fantastic ways to get this threat it in. And Due to how fragile this Pokemon Dodrio is, it is recommended that one sets up Swords Dance only in a time where when Dodrio will take minimal damage/when damage or the opponent is guaranteed to switch. Dodrio can scare out slower offensive Pokemon such as Emboar, Hitmonlee (but not Unburden variants), and Incineroar by threatening them with super effective moves. This can allow a player to predict a switch and get Dodrio to +2 without it taking any damage. Dodrio can also use its Ghost-(AH) and Ground-type immunities to switch in on these attacks (original wording implies all attacks), but this is very risky unless the opposing attacker foe is Choice-(AH)locked into their move via Choice Scarf, Choice Band, or Choice Specs.

Team Options
========
Bulky Pokemon that can act as pivots to take attacks for Dodrio such as Slowbro and Steelix pair very well. Additionally, slow U-turners U-turn users such as Xatu and Incineroar can act as ways to allow Dodrio to cleanly enter the battle. Volt Switchers and U-turners Volt Switch and U-turn users that can create momentum, such as Rotom-C Rotom-Cut ,(RC) (messed up spacing) can also be used well as a teammates. Xatu helps in preventing Stealth Rocks Rock, keeping Dodrio healthy, while Incineroar and Rotom-Cut Rotom-C lure in Fighting-(AH) and Grass-types, respectively. With to its Dodrio's Stealth Rock weakness, entry hazard removal in the form of Hitmontop, Cryogonal, Golbat, Skuntank,(AC) and others are is ("hazard removal" is singular) beneficial to Dodrio it. Pokemon that appreciate Dodrio's wallbreaking ability, including other Normal-(AH) and Flying-types, Sneasel, and Drapion,(AC) act as good synergetic partners.(period),(RC)and The presence of entry hazards, including Stealth Rock and Spikes, are great for Dodrio, as they provide passive damage to further weaken foes,(RC) and make sure that Steelix's Sturdy stays broken. This means that Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Steelix (which lures lure in Fighting-types) that can set up Stealth Rock or Spikes are great teammates.

Other Options
=============
Dodrio can be used also with a Choice Band as its item.(period) This set inlcudes along with the moves Brave Bird, Quick Attack, Jump Kick, and Knock Off. Quick Attack further helps Dodrio as a solid revenge killer, and Knock Off OHKOes Rotom and helps Dodrio remove Steelix's item, as well as removing potential Rocky Helmets. It also acts as a way to OHKO Rotom. The issue with this set is that Dodrio is very fragile, meaning it can spam Brave Bird less than its competition, Braviary, can. Additionally, Dodrio lacks the move U-turn, meaning Braviary can take advantage of Choice-locking items better than Dodrio can. This set also faces competition from Dodrio's previously mentioned Flyinium Z / Fightinium Z set standard set (it is the only set), as even though Z-(AH)Moves are one-time nukes, these sets the standard set allows Dodrio to set up and switch between moves. Another option is Z-(AH)Mirror Move,(AC) which.(period) Mirror Move in conjunction with Flyinium Z will boosts Dodrio's Attack to +2 and then uses a Z-(AH)Move of the last used move, meaning that Dodrio could hypothetically come in on an Earthquake, be unaffected, and then attack with a +2 Tectonic Rage the next turn. The issue with this Z move is how situational it is, and Dodrio often wants to set up without having to use its Z-(AH)Move to do so. Z-Acupressure, another setup move, raises a random stat by 2 stages and gives Dodrio a 50% higher chance to score critical hits on the opponent, but due to how random in nature the move is, it's little more than a gimmick. Additionally,(RC) Flail can do extraordinary damage to foes,(RC) but can be tedious to set up,(RC) and is outclassed by Reversal Unburden Hitmonlee. Finally, Pursuit can be useful to trap and deal good damage to Psychic-(AH) and Ghost-types, but Dodrio is outclassed as a Pursuit trapper by Sneasel, and Dodrio's movesets have no real room for Pursuit.

Checks and Counters
==============

**Steelix**: (Random third asterisk) Steelix can live any hit from Dodrio,(RC) and takes less than half of its health from a Jolly Life Orb Jump Kick. In return, Steelix can potentially damage Dodrio for more than half of its HP with a 100-(AH)Base Power Heavy Slam. Steelix must be cautious of +2 All-(AH)Out Pummeling, however, as that will OHKO it if it does not have Sturdy intact.

**Rocky Helmet Users**: Because all of Dodrio's best moves (bar Z-(AH)Moves) make physical contact, Pokemon holding a Rocky Helmet can very quickly wear it down. Druddigon, Garbodor, Xatu, and Steelix are all Pokemon that potentially use Rocky Helmet in the tier. However, +2 Supersonic Skystrike can OHKO these threats,(RC) while ensuring Dodrio takes no Rocky Helmet, Aftermath, or Rough Skin damage.

**Rock-type Pokemon**: Rock-type Pokemon like Aurorus, Rhydon, Regirock, and Barbaracle resist both of Dodrio's STAB moves,(RC) and only take real any notable damage from Jump Kick. In return, these Pokemon can throw off super effective Rock moves. Pokemon like this include Aurorus, Rhydon, Regirock, and Barbaracle. These Pokemon, like Steelix, though, are heavily damaged or OHKOed by All-(AH)Out Pummeling.

**Stealth Rock**: Though not quite a "counter", Dodrio loses 25% of its maximum health when it switches into on Stealth Rock. This means that Dodrio loses a decent amount of its longevity, especially combined with its most spammable move, Brave Bird,(RC) is also making making Dodrio take recoil damage.

**Faster Offensive Pokemon/Priority Pokemon and Priority**: With Dodrio's mediocre bulk, Pokemon that're that are faster than it are able to inflict massive amounts of damage or even OHKO it. This includes the likes of Sneasel, Lycanroc, Cincinno, and Unburden Hitmonlee,(AC) and.(period) Additionally,(RC) common Choice Scarf users,(AC) including Braviary, Drapion, and Emboar can inflict massive amounts of damage to Dodrio while outspeeding it (these two sentences could easily be combined). Priority moves can be an issue as well, though it should be noted that Dodrio has access to Quick Attack, which makes it less susceptible to priority.

Try to avoid unnecessary and implied fluff to your sentences. But more importantly, there are a lot of sentences that could have been written or combined in a much clearer and concise manner. I advise you to do so; it'll help a lot.

Additionally, Dodrio lacks the move U-turn, meaning Braviary can better take advantage of Choice Band Choice-locking items better than Dodrio can. This set also faces competition from Dodrio's previously mentioned standard set, as even though Z-Moves are one-time nukes, the standard set it allows Dodrio to set up and switch between moves. Another option is Z-Mirror Move, which boosts Dodrio's attack to +2 Attack by two stages and uses a the Z-Move version of the last used move, meaning that Dodrio could hypothetically come in on an Earthquake, be unaffected, and then attack with a +2 Tectonic Rage the next turn. The issue with this Z-Move is how situational it is, and Dodrio often wants to set up without having to use its Z-Move to do so. Z-Acupressure, another setup move, raises a random stat by 2 stages and gives Dodrio a 50% higher chance to score critical hits critical hit rate, but due to how random in nature the move is, it's little more than a gimmick. Flail can do extraordinary damage to foes but can be tedious to set up, (comma) and is outclassed by Reversal Unburden Hitmonlee. Finally, Pursuit can be useful to for trapping and dealing good damage to Psychic- and Ghost-types, but Dodrio is outclassed as a Pursuit trapper by Sneasel, and Dodrio's movesets have no real room for Pursuit.

Checks and Counters
==============

**Steelix**: Steelix can live take any hit from Dodrio and takes loses less than half of its health from to a Jolly Life Orb Jump Kick. In return, Steelix can potentially damage 2HKO Dodrio for more than half of its HP with a 100-Base Power Heavy Slam. Steelix must be cautious of +2 All-Out Pummeling, however, as that will OHKO it if it does not have Sturdy intact.

**Rocky Helmet Users**: Because all of Dodrio's best moves (bar Z-Moves) make contact, Pokemon holding a Rocky Helmet can very quickly wear it down. Druddigon, Garbodor, Xatu, and Steelix are all Pokemon that potentially use Rocky Helmet in the tier. However, +2 Supersonic Skystrike can OHKO these threats while ensuring Dodrio takes no Rocky Helmet, Aftermath, or Rough Skin damage.

**Rock-types Type Pokemon**: Rock-type Pokemon like Aurorus, Rhydon, Regirock, and Barbaracle resist both of Dodrio's STAB moves and only take notable damage from Jump Kick. In return, these Pokemon can throw off super effective Rock STAB moves. These Pokemon, like Steelix, though, However, they are heavily damaged or OHKOed by All-Out Pummeling.

**Stealth Rock**: Though not quite a "counter", Dodrio loses 25% of its maximum health when it switches into Stealth Rock. This means that Dodrio it loses a decent amount of its longevity, especially combined with its most spammable move, Brave Bird, also making Dodrio it take recoil damage.

**Faster Offensive Pokemon and Priority**: With Because of Dodrio's mediocre bulk, Pokemon that are faster than it are able to inflict massive amounts of damage or even OHKO it. This includes the likes of Sneasel, Lycanroc, Cincinno, and Unburden Hitmonlee, and common Choice Scarf users including such as Braviary, Drapion, and Emboar. Priority moves can be an issue as well, though it should be noted that Dodrio has access to Quick Attack, which Quick Attack makes it Dodrio less susceptible to priority them.
