Ubers Deoxys-A

QC: MiyoKa, Nayrz, Minority
GP: marthaa, fireflame479

[OVERVIEW]

* With monstrous base 180 Attack and Special Attack along with base 150 Speed, Deoxys-A is capable of being a revenge killer and a powerful wallbreaker.
* It provides great matchups versus offense and some balance teams, as it lacks switch-ins.
* Access to a powerful STAB Psycho Boost and a large movepool including Superpower, Ice Beam, Extreme Speed, and Dark Pulse makes it one of the best all-out attackers in the tier.
* Deoxys-A benefits heavily in Psychic-type spam core teams, notably with Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain, as it negates a key weakness in priority and boosts the damage output of Psychic-type attacks, allowing it to break through teams with a bit more ease.
* Due to the frailty of Deoxys-A, it is OHKOed by nearly every offensive move, which makes it only fit on offense teams, as it is unable to provide any kind of defensive synergy.
* The presence of Necrozma-DM means opposing teams have more room to check Deoxys-A if it uses the wrong move or lacks coverage.
* It is extremely vulnerable to Choice Scarf users such as Yveltal and Xerneas as well as priority users such as Marshadow, Giratina-O, Extreme Speed Arceus, and Rayquaza.

Moves
========

* Psycho Boost is a powerful STAB move, enabling Deoxys-A to have very few switch-ins, with the only ones being Dark-types and bulky Psychic- and Steel-types. Paired with Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain, Psycho Boost becomes a nuke, dealing massive damage to Pokemon that do not resist it.
* Ice Beam enables Deoxys to OHKO Yveltal and Zygarde-C from full HP and helps Deoxys-A deal with other Dragon-, Flying-, and Ground-types such as Mega Salamence, Giratina-O, Ultra Necrozma, Lugia, and Arceus-Ground.
* Superpower allows Deoxys-A to hit Dark- and Steel-types such as Arceus-Dark and Ferrothorn as well as Chansey and Blissey with the help of previous Stealth Rock damage.
* Dark Pulse can hit opposing Psychic-types such as the Necrozma formes and Lugia; it also hits Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar.
* Extreme Speed can be used to revenge kill Choice Scarf users after they have been severely damaged and should be only used on non-Psychic Terrain teams.
* Psychic can be an alternative over Psycho Boost to avoid Special Attack drops if the fire power is not needed.

Set Details
========

* A Rash nature allows Deoxys-A to take advantage of its high Special Attack to fire off powerful STAB Psycho Boosts, capable of OHKOing non-bulky Xerneas, Giratina-O, and offensive Primal Groudon.
* Even with a Rash nature, Deoxys-A is able to outspeed notable Mega Pokemon such as Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and Mega Mewtwo X due to its fantastic Speed tier. With maximum Speed investment, it is also able to outspeed notable Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Ultra Necrozma, Marshadow, and Naganadel.
* A Life Orb enables Deoxys-A to take advantage of the increases in power of inboth physical and special offensive moves,and recoil is not determinal due to Deoxys-A's frail bulk.

Usage Tips
========

* Powerful STAB Psycho Boosts can punch holes through opposing teams, so try to weaken walls as much as possible for teammates to clean and possibly sweep.
* If against setup sweepers, prior damage will allow Deoxys-A to revenge kill them with Extreme Speed.
* Usually, Deoxys-A would be forced to switch out against potential Choice Scarf users, as they will immediately OHKO Deoxys-A. Therefore, team composition and possible item scouting is important.
* Preserving Deoxys-A for late-game can allow it to clean up weaken revenge killers and walls that have been crippled by its teammates.
* Because of its frail bulk, Deoxys-A is not a reliable switch-in to anything unless you are attempting a double switch to bring it in safely or using it as death fodder.
* Deoxys-A's full potential can be exhibited when it comes in on Psychic Terrain, as it does not need to worry about getting revenge killed by priority users such as Marshadow, Mega Lucario, Extreme Speed Arceus formes, and Yveltal. It can safely OHKO frail priority users or deal massive damage to these Pokemon without worrying about getting OHKOed first.
* Against teams with Pressure, one must be wary of how many Psycho Boosts can be used in battle. Timing and prioritizing threats are important for Deoxys-A to effectively do its job.

Team Options
========

* Tapu Lele is the premier partner for Deoxys-A, as it sets up Psychic Terrain, allowing Deoxys-A to become immune to priority moves and substantially increasing the power of Psycho Boost.
* As an independent glass cannon, Deoxys-A can be used on offensive and hyper offense teams, with the primary role of wallbreaking and denting Pokemon to allow its teammates to clean up late-game.
* Entry hazard users, such as Necrozma-DM, Primal Groundon, and Excadrill, allow Deoxys-A to get the necessary chip damage needed to wear down Pokemon that would take hits from it, turning 2HKOs into possible OHKOs.
* Due to the frailness of Deoxys-A, it is difficult to bring it on a hard switch. Therefore, slow, bulky pivots such as Yveltal and Mega Scizor can take hits and then U-turn out into Deoxys-A, ensuring that it does not get KOed before applying offensive pressure.
* Late-game sweepers such as Rock Polish Necrozma-DM, Rock Polish Primal Groundon, Marshadow, and Dragon Dance Mega Salamence can take advantage of opposing teams that have been crippled by Deoxys-A.
* As Deoxys-A has weaknesses to the common Ghost- and Dark-type Pokemon in the Ubers metagame, checks to these such as Xerneas and Yveltal make great partners and can deal with Deoxys-A's counters.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Fire Punch helps Deoxys-A hit Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Magearna hard.
* Knock Off can cripple a Pokemon by removing its item and punish any switch-ins. This helps Deoxys-A with the matchup against foes such as Lugia and the Necrozma formes.
* Psychium Z turns Psycho Boost into a nuke, especially in Psychic Terrain, which can easily OHKO walls such as specially defense Primal Groudon and Giratina-O after Stealth Rock damage.
* Nasty Plot + All-Out Pummeling from Fightinium Z and Focus Blast allows Deoxys-A to break through most balance teams and OKHOes most bulky Steel- and Dark-types that would otherwise check it.
* Focus Sash allows Deoxys-A to land two hits before going down, but it loses out on the extra damage output from Life Orb.
* Low Kick is another niche option due to the massive weight of Pokemon in the Ubers metagame allowing it do deal good damage and avoids stat drops. However, Superpower is preferred, since it already hits hard and doesn't rely on weight factors for damage.
* A Naive nature allows Deoxys-A to outspeed neutral natured slower Choice Scarf users such as Kyurem-W and Landorus-T, as well as Blaziken after one Speed Boost, though losing special attacking power isn't the best for Deoxys-A.
* A lead set with Focus Sash and Stealth Rock can enable Deoxys-A to be more utility-based, but Deoxys-S does a much better job at it.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Priority Users**: Marshadow, Mega Lucario, and Extreme Speed Arceus are the most common revenge killers and will OHKO Deoxys-A with ease. However, priority moves will not work if Psychic Terrain is in effect.

**Choice Scarf Users**: Choice Scarf users with Speed-boosting natures such as Xerneas and Yveltal are able to outspeed Deoxys-A and revenge kill it. These matchups force Deoxys-A to switch out.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Mega Sableye and Yveltal are unaffected by Deoxys-A's powerful Psycho Boost and in rare instances can Pursuit trap and OHKO Deoxys-A. However, they must be careful of Superpower and other coverage moves.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types such as Lugia, the Necrozma formes, and Gothitelle resist Psycho Boost. However, they must be careful of the possible Knock Off and Deoxys-A's versatile moveset to avoid taking massive damage.

**Steel-types**: Steel types such as Necrozma-DM, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn resist Psycho Boost and take neutral from or resist the majority of Deoxys-A's moves.

reword the 2nd point of the overview, it is good vs offense and some balanced builds, as it lacks switch-ins
mention which moves you are talking about in the overview: ice beam superpower knock off and extreme speed, mention that it makes it one of the best All out attacker in the tier
remove the 5th point, its more for set moves
reword the 6th point and say it benefits from Psychic Terrain and say it a staple in those kind of teams and why it is a good archetype too
merge the scarf and the priority point, remove genesect and kangaskan mention, mention the pokemons in order of viability
remove the two last points imo

use this set, update the set moves and set details, but move the timid naive option and the focus sash mention to Other Options
mention that extreme speed should be only used in non-Psychic Terrain teams, remove the tyranitar and muk-a mention and add instead Arceus Dark and Chansey/Blissey.

Add that Psychic should be used over Psycho Boost if the firepower isnt needed and to avoid the drop in usage tips, mention necrozma dm instead of ferrothorn in entry hazards point in team options, mention rock polish necrozma DM in cleaners instead of mega lucario, rock polish pdon instead of double dance, remove extremkiller mention and add marshadow there, remove the 6th point (prankster and status) and remove the little bit in the last point: as long as both have not taken previous chip damage.
OO: remove the three mentions, remove zen headbutt one, makes suicide lead one the last in order, add a mention for nasty plot + Z Focus Blast / Psychic / Ice Beam or focus sash

remove the last point in C&C, mention the pokemon in order of viability in general

implement and i'll stamp

Implemented all that you said to the best of my ability.

* Access to a large movepool such as Superpower, Ice Beam, Extremespeed, and Knock Off makes it one of the best all-out attackers in the tier.
* STAB Psycho Boosts allows Deoxys - A to hit extremely hard, with Dark-Types and specially defensive Pokemon being the only few switch ins.
merge those two points, remove knock off mention since its not in the set.

add a point between the actual 6th and 7th point where u say that the new addition in Necrozma-DM means that teams have now more room to check Deo-A in case the Deo-A user click the wrong move or doesnt run coverage.

after a discussion with qc team we decided that this should be the optimal slashing, make the change in set moves, keep Psychic mention and add its a potential option with Tapu Lele, move knock off mention to OO and remove bronzong mention, add that it punishes switch-ins.

* Hazard entry users, such as Cloyster, Dusk-Mane Necrozma, Greninja, Primal Groundon, and Excadrill, allow Deoxys-A's to get the necessary chip needed to wear down Pokemon that would take hits from Deoxys-A, turning 2HKOs into possible OHKOs.
remove cloyster and greninja mention

* Prankster and status users can inflict status to Deoxys-A, which can hinder its role on offensive teams. Primal Groudoun is the perfect teammate for these situations has it can negate Thunder-Wave and Will-o-Wisps from opposing Prankster users or status users.
remove, pointless.

Again, remove Thunder and Signal Beam from Other Options, devellop the Fire Punch point, it hits Steel such as Celesteela and Magearna hard

* Nast Plot + Z- Psychic / Focus Blast / Ice Beam allows Deoxys-A to increases its offensive capability.
It is Nasty Plot + Z-Focus Blast, precise that it breaks most balanced teams, and whats the z focus blast targets

* Z-Focus Blast can also be used to dent opposing bulky Steel types and Dark types.
Remove this point

Implemented to the best of my knowledge.

* Nasty Plot + Z-Focus Blast allows Deoxys-A to break through most balance teams bulky Steel and Dark types.
make it more clear, something like "* Nasty Plot + Z-Focus Blast allows Deoxys-A to break through most balance teams and OKHOes most bulky Steel and Dark types that should check it."

Added. Thanks for the help!

The formatting of Moves will probably have you told to change it when its time for GP. Remove the colons and just make them normal sentences. This applies to the Knock Off mention in OO as well.

That set MiyoKa gave you was one we both decided on internally so I'm otherwise fine with this.

Not QC, just some suggestions

Overview
- You can rephrase the second-last bullet in the overview to remove the part where it says the addition of Necrozma DM as that thing isn't helpful in analyses.

Moves
- In the moves section, you can move the example of Lugia from Dark Pulse to Ice Beam as it hits harder than Dark Pulse, since Lugia can't Roost up before Deoxys-A (Unless Paralyzed, Stick Webs).

Other Options
- For Low Kick, mention its niche over Superpower which is avoiding stats drops. Then you can also add in some examples of Pokemon mainly because of which Superpower is preferred over Low Kick such as Ferrothorn and Blissey.
- For the Naive nature option, state that it comes at the cost of its Special Attack which is why it isn't mostly used.
- Fire Punch can also include Ferrothorn's example.
- I'd move the Focus Sash option a bit above the others since it lets it do the revenge killing job more efficiently against boosted Pokemon.

Checks & Counters
- For Priority attackers section, you can add in that their priority moves wouldn't affect DeoA if Psychic Terrain is up.
- Steel-types: Though keep in mind Superpower is SE Vs Ferrothorn and heavily damages it and can't take on DeoA mostly if it isn't at full health. So you can add in that Ferrothorn has to be careful about this.

4 Atk Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Superpower vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Ferrothorn: 299-354 (84.9 - 100.5%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
4 Atk Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Superpower vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Ferrothorn: 299-354 (84.9 - 100.5%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

* Due to the frail bulk of Deoxys-A, gets OHKOed by nearly every offensive move.
Add to this that Deoxys-A pretty much only fits on offense teams due to the fact that it is unable to provide any kind of defensive synergy. This is integral to Deoxys-A's identity and should be featured in the overview.

I would consider ordering C&C with things that can actually switch in listed first. See Pokemon like Mega Sableye, Necrozma-DM, and Lugia can accomplish this. Your division by types is good.

Moves
========

* Psycho Boost is the signature move of Deoxys-A. a powerful STAB move, enabling Deoxys-A to have very few switch-ins such as Dark-(AH)types and bulky Psychic- and Steel Pokemon-types. Paired with Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain, it becomes a nuke, dealing massive damage to those that do not resist it.
* Ice Beam is a great coverage move enablingenables Deoxys to OHKO Yveltal and Zygarde-C from full. Also and helps Deoxys-A deal with other Dragon-(AH), Flying-(AH), and Ground-(AH)types such as Mega Salamence, Lugia, Giratina-O, Ultra Necrozma, Lugia, and Arceus-Ground.
* Superpower allows Deoxys-A to hit Dark-(AH) and Steel-(AH)types such as Ferrothorn, Arceus-Dark and Chansey /, (AC) Chansey, and Blissey, with the help of previous Stealth Rocks damage.
* Dark Pulse can hit opposing Psychic type Pokemon-(AH)types such as the Necrozma formes and Lugia; it also hits Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar.
* Extremes Speed can be used to revenge kill Choice Scarf users after they have been severely damaged and should be only used ion non-Psychic Terrain teams.
* Psychic can be an alternative over Psycho Boost if the firepower is not needed and to avoid Special Attack drops.

Set Details
========

* A Rash nature allows Deoxys-A to take advantage of its high Special Attack to fire off powerful STAB Psycho Boosts, capable of OHKOing non-bulky Xerneas, Giratina-O, and offensive Primal Groudon.
* Even with a Rash nature, Deoxys-A is able to outspeed notable megas such as Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and Mega Mewtwo X due to its fanastic Speed tier. With maximum speed investment, it is also able to outspeed notable Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Ultra Necrozma, Marshadow, and Naganadel.
* A Life Orb enables Deoxys-A to take advantage of increases in both physychical and special offensive moves, and recoil is not determinal due to Deoxys-A's frail bulk.

Usage Tips
========

* Powerful STAB Psycho Boosts can punch holes through opposing teams, so try to weaken walls as much as possible for teammates to clean and possibly sweep.
* In the casef against set-up Pokemonup sweepers, prior damage will allow Deoxys-A to revenge kill them with Extremes Speed.
* Usually Deoxys-A would be forced to switch out against potential choice scarf usersChoice Scarf and priorty users, so bear in mind that Deoxys-A is still in a great sSpeed tier. Staying in on choice sChoice Scarf users will immediately get OHKOedOHKO Deoxys-A, so team composition and possible item scouting is important.
* Preserving Deoxys-A for late-(AH)game can allow it to clean up weaken revenge killers and walls that have been crippled by its teammates.
* Because of its frail bulk, Deoxys-A is not a reliable switch-in unless you are attempting a double switch to bring it in safely or useding it as death fodder.
* Deoxys-A's full potential can be exhibited when it comes in on Psychic Terrain, as it does not need to worry about getting revenge killed by priority users such as Marshadow, Mega Lucario, E-xtreme Speed Arceus formes, and Yveltal. It can safely OHKO frail priority Pokemon or provideusers or deal massive damage to these Pokemon without worrying about Deoxys-A getting OHKOed first.
* Against teams with Pressure ability, one must be wary as to how many Psycho Boosts can be used in battle. Timing and prioritizing threats is important for Deoxys-A to effectively do its job.

Team Options
========

* Tapu Lele is the premier partner for Deoxys-A, whichas it sets up Psychic Terrain, allowing Deoxys-A to become immune to priority moves and substantially increasesing the power of Psycho Boosts.
* As a independent glass cannon, Deoxys-A can be implemented in offensive /used on offense or hyper offensive teams, with the primary role of wallbreaking teams and denting Pokemon thato allows its teammates to clean up late game.
* Hazard entry
-game.
* Entry hazard
users, such as Dusk-Mane Necrozma-DM, Primal Groundon, and Excadrill, allow Deoxys-A's to get the necessary chip damage needed to wear down Pokemon that would take hits from Deoxys-A, turning 2HKOs into possible OHKOs.
* Due to the frailness of Deoxys-A, it is difficult to bring it on a hard switch-in. Therefore, slow bulky slow pivots such as Yveltal and Mega Scizor can take hits, then U-Tturn out into Deoxys-A, ensuring that it does not dieget KOed before applying offensive pressure.
* Late-game sweepers such as Rock Polish Dusk Mane Necrozma-DM, Rock Polish P-Grounrimal Groudon, Marshadow, and Dragon Dance Mega Salamence can take advantage of opposing teams that have been crippled by Deoxys-A.
* WithAs Deoxys-A has weaknesses to the common ghost and dark Ghost-(AH) and Dark-type Pokemon in the Ubers metagame, checks to these such as Xerneas and Yveltal make great partners and can deal with Deoxys-A's counters.

Other Options
=============

* Fire Punch helps Deoxys-A hit Steel-(AH)types such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, (AC) and Magearna hard.
* Knock Off is a great move that can deter a Pokemon by removing their item and punish any switch-ins. This move helps Deoxys-A with the Psychic match-up against foes such as Lugia, and the Necrozma forms.
* Z-Psycho Boost
es.
* Psychium Z
turns Psycho Boost into a nuke, especially in Psychic Terrain, which can easily OHKO walls such as Special Defense P-specially defensive Primal Groudon and Giratina-O after Stealth Rocks damage.
* Nasty Plot + Z-Focus BlastShattered Psyche allows Deoxys-A to break through most balance teams and OKHOes most bulky Steel-(AH) and Dark-(AH)types that would otherwise check it.
* A Focus Sash allows Deoxys-A to land two hits before going down, however,but it loses out the extra power output from Life Orb.
* Low Kick is another niche option due to the massive weight of Pokemon in the Ubers metagame and avoids stat drops. However, Superpower is preferred, (AC) since it already hits hard and doesn't rely on weight factors for damage.
* A Naive nature allows Deoxys-A to outspeed neutral sChoice Scarf users such as Kyurem-W, and Landorus-T, as well as Blaziken after one Speed Boost, though losing special attack power isn't the best for Deoxys-A.
* A lead set with Focus Sash with Taunt/Rocks Lead and Stealth Rock can enable Deoxys-A to be more utility-based, but Deoxys-S does a much better job at it.

Checks and Counters

**Psychic T-types**: Psychic-(AH)types such as Lugia, the Necrozma formes, and Gothitelle resist Psycho Boost. However, one muchthey must be careful withof the possible Knock Off and itDeoxys-A's versatile moveset to avoid taking massive damage.

**Steel T-types**: Steel types such as Dusk Mane Necrozma-DM, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn resist Psycho Boosts and take neutral or not very effecticve hits from the majority of Deoxys-A's movesets.
