[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Fire Blast is Charizard's strongest attack When boosted by Solar Power and the sun, it will OHKO almost everything that does not resist it and 2HKOes resists in Araquanid and Dragalge. Solar Beam allows Charizard to OHKO Ground- and Water-types that can normally take a Fire Blast such as Milotic and Rhyperior.Focus Blast rounds off Charizard's coverage by 2HKOing Gigalith, the best answer to Charizard in the tier. It 2HKOes Thick Fat Snorlax too, which can potentially take two sun-boosted Fire Blasts after Stealth Rock damage. Flamethrower is the best filler because it is a 100% accurate Fire-type move when Charizard does not need to go for an overkill. Air Slash can be used over Flamethrower, however, to OHKO Araquanid and as a safe middle-ground move versus other Water-types.

Set Details
========

Max Special Attack and Speed EVs are utilized to hit as hard and be as fast as possible. A Timid nature is preferred to outpace Moltres which could otherwise due massive damage to Charizard with its own sun-boosted Fire Blast. It also lets Charizard speed tie with Flygon and OHKO it with a sun-boosted Fire Blast if Charizard wins the tie. A Modest nature is still an appealing option due to the lack of other relevant Pokemon in its speed tier. A Modest Fire Blast in the sun will always 2HKO Mantine and it reaches other insane feats such as OHKOing specially defensive Umbreon and Porygon2 after Stealth Rock damage. Solar Power is Charizard's only niche. It becomes the most powerful wallbreaker in the tier under the sun. Fire Blast nets many OHKOs and 2HKOs with a Choice Specs, making it the preferred item over Life Orb. Additionally, Charizard loses 22% of its health whenever it attacks in the sun, making it very undesirable.

Usage Tips
========
Charizard should take advantage of passive Pokemon such as Registeel, Comfey, and Gligar. However, two requirements must be sent. One, sun should be up as Charizard is a mediocre wallbreaker without the Solar Power and sun boost to its Fire Blast. Second, Stealth Rock should be cleared as Charizard can only barely survive switching in considering Solar Power also chips at its health. Fire Blast should be clicked the majority of the time due to its insane power. A resisted Fire Blast is stronger a neutral Solar Beam.
Try to get in Charizard in safely, since Solar Power is already cutting its turns.

Team Options
========
- torkoal or ninetales
- lefeon and venusaur are teammates u commonly see on sun teams
- mantine is a solid hazard remover since torkoal can be unreliable and times or if ur using ninetales.
- voltturn is appreciated from the likes of zoro and gligar, fine picks on sun teams.
- espeon and xatu to bounce rocks
- eject button cress, appreicates stronger moonlights and can get a free switch into zard.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
- Overheat seems like a great option, but the move is often overkill compared to Fire Blast, which also does not lower Charizard's Special Attack.
- Charizard can attempt to sweep with Z-Sunny Day and Choice Scarf sets, but Pokemon such as Mantine and Kommo-o can take these sets on, which would normally lose to the Choice Specs set.
- hp elec

Checks and Counters
===================

**Gigalith and other weather**: Gigalith sets up the sand with Sand Stream, negating Charizard's ability and making it much weaker. It can knock out Charizard with Stone Edge if it is locked into Solar Beam. Focus Blast does a ton, so it must be wary when switching in mindlessly.

**Thick Fat Snorlax**: Snorlax almost always avoids the 2HKO from sun-boosted Fire Blast and it can either Rest or fish for a paralysis with Body Slam. Once again, a well-timed Focus Blast will 2HKO Snorlax however.

**Stealth Rock**: Stealth Rock prevents Charizard from coming for free, and it racks very quickly with Solar Power. Common users of Stealth Rock are Gliscor, Registeel, and Rhyperior.

**Faster Attackers**: Charizard has a solid Speed tier, but it is still outpaced by powerful attackers such as Zoroark, Choice Scarf Tyrantrum, Zygarde-10% and Salazzle.

**Continuous Pressure**: Making more offensive plays to prevent Chariazard from coming in is a great way to limit how many KOs it can net. Another strategy is to avoid bringing passive Pokemon in for continous periods of time and using Pokemon that beat Charizard in a 1v1 scenario such as Mantine and Araquanid.

Vertex After a quick checking it looks pretty good so far but cant give it a check without a properly written checks and counters section. Get that done and feel free to tag me so do the QC.

je suis d'ailleurs
- Fire Blast nets many OHKOs and 2HKOs with a Choice Specs, making it the preferred item over Life Orb.
mention LO + Solar Power recoil as well (22% every turn you attack is kinda ridiculous)

cress or eject button slowking in team options?

It 2HKOes Thick Fat Snorlax too, which can potentially take two sun-boosted Fire Blasts after Stealth Rock damage.
is a bit misleading since fire blast in sun from modest specs is only a 10% chance to 2hko + miss chance

i'd personally drop hidden power electric to oo and slash air slash after flamethrower. but u can wait on the rest of qc on that

qc 1/3 after

remove banned mons (i saw a mantine mention maybe u have more idk) Vertex

mention mega abomasnow's hail removing sun in c&c (tho its not a counter for obvious reasons)

venusaur is not a faster attacker (in c&c) unless its in sun, and even then charizard is more of a threat to venu than venu is to zard. replace it with zydog, scarf tyrantrum, and swellow

2/3

why is this even getting an analysis
