Modest Nature

Magmortar comes in on Whimsi or Xatu and just... blows this team up lol, the only countermeasures are full HP Steelix and AJet Samurott. Toxicroak also doesn't really have any switchins on the team, and sets up on the one threat to Magmortar then goes to town, and can't be revenged by Whimsi else it just gives Magmortar a free switch back in.

gave up trying to make a better offensive core so here, have a balanced one. klinklang sets up on xatu, whims and miltank. jelli handles sd samurott and steelix to an extent while miltank takes on houndoom pretty nice, also being a secondary switch in to whims due to its bulk. stoss over body slam so that it isn't completely steelix fodder.

Virizion @Rockium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

Golbat@Eviolite
Ability: Infiltrator
Evs:252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird

- Defog
- Toxic

Golbat fears almost nothing of Whimsicott Specs except Psychic, Virizion can use Miltank as fodder setup and take the whole team with their Stabs + Continental Crush after a Swords Dance and Magmortar can take Xatu and Samurott with Thunderbolt, do not fear Whimsicott and give an Ohko in Steelix after the damage of hazards

Congrats cyanize, well done and nice core.

This week lets go with something that could be pretty helpful for newer players learning how to prepare for different styles of teams, Sun.

Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Submit your cores to break this team till the 29th!

Vanilluxe @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Ground]

Slowking @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Tail

This is a cool core that utilizes some pretty threatening mons and sets. Scarf Vanilluxe is a standard and huge threat to Sun since it can switch the Sun to hail every time it comes in and do massive damage to every single pokemon on that team. AV Slowking is cool because its an Emboar check and can do serious damage with Future Sight and Fire Blast. Dragon Tail can be used to stall out Sun turns if possible. This core when used right should effectively stop most Sun sweepers in their tracks, although Vanilluxe does have to be wary of Shiftry's Sucker Punch while Slowking needs to be careful around Emboar and switching in to a Wild Charge

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Freeze-Dry
- Blizzard
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Ground]

shit man sniped above kinda but still lol

So, basically, this core aims to take advantage that the opposing team relies on Sun to win against other teams. Slowbro works as an answer to Regirock and Slowbro, as well as Shiftry thanks to Z-Signal Beam, an old SM set, to cover for Shiftry. Vanilluxe takes care of the rest, taking away the sun using Snow Warning, and doing heavy damage to the entire team in general.

audino @ audinite | regenerator
bold nature | 252 hp / 208 def / 48 spa
wish | protect | toxic | dazzling gleam

thanks to audino's fantastic bulk and being knock off immune, it can overwhelm threats such as shiftry, regirock, whimsicott (even if its phys def its not doing much w/o life orb or choice specs), and even emboar if it has mega evolved and sun isn't up by toxic stalling or just firing off dazzling gleams. providing wish support to slowking and piloswine is also very useful in checking victreebel and sigilpyh, as audino lets in both for free. also causing mind games with protect making emboar think of what move it wants to lock itself into, due to slowking and piloswine bouncing off each others weaknesses. in addition stallling out sun turns can be key for slowking or piloswine to check victreebel.

slowking @ assault vest | regenerator
modest nature | 252 hp / 156 spa / 100 spdef
scald | future sight | fire blast | dragon tail

slowking acts as a check to emboar; being able to muscle all hits from it bar wild charge, which audino can eat and pilo is immune to, and with scald ohkoing embaot from full as well as future sight. slowking also greatly helps dealing w victreebel, taking a neautral solar beam as well as a +1 solar beam, it can then fire back with a sun-boosted fire blast to ohko it. slowking can also eat anything sigilyph decides to throw its way, and can be phased out with dragon tail. additionally, it can take whimsicott's enegery balls fairly well and having the coverage to exploit and deal massive damage to it.

252 SpA Whimsicott Energy Ball vs. 252 HP / 100 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 116-140 (29.4 - 35.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Victreebel Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 100 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 204-240 (51.7 - 60.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252+ SpA Victreebel Acid Downpour (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 100 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 220-259 (55.8 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
156+ SpA Slowking Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Victreebel in Sun: 404-476 (134.2 - 158.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
156+ SpA Slowking Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Whimsicott: 256-302 (98 - 115.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
156+ SpA Slowking Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Emboar: 314-372 (86.9 - 103%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

piloswine @ eviolite | thick fat
adamant nature | 252 hp / 252 atk / 4 def
stealth rock | earthquake | icicle crash | ice shard

piloswine's main job is to ensure that the core has an effiecent way of breaking sigi, also dealing solid damage to nearly every team member thanks to stab priority in ice shard. it can also take on emboar dependant on what move it's choice locked into.

252 SpA Sigilyph Psychic vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Piloswine: 127-150 (31.4 - 37.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Whimsicott Energy Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Piloswine: 210-248 (51.9 - 61.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Piloswine Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Whimsicott: 138-164 (52.8 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Piloswine Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victreebel: 170-204 (56.4 - 67.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Piloswine Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Sigilyph: 306-360 (107.3 - 126.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Piloswine Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Emboar: 422-498 (116.8 - 137.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Piloswine Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Shiftry: 182-216 (56.6 - 67.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
