[Overview]

Aegislash's unique defensive typing in Ghost/Steel allow Aegislash to wall and/or pivot on common sets of various Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Diancie, Solgaleo and Mega Rayquaza. Its commendable 60/150/150 bulk lets it function as an effective switchin to a multitude of Pokemon. In addition to these assets, its Ghost typing also allows it to block Rapid Spin and Endeavor, inconveniencing both hazard removers that rely on Rapid Spin and Sturdy Shedinja. Its Ghost typing gives it an immunity to Fighting which, along with the myriad of resistances granted by its unique typing, allow it to wall common Contrary sets in conjunction with Flash Fire. However, its bulk isn't good enough to take repeated blows from threats such as Mega Mewtwo Y or Mega Diancie. Also, while its Ghost typing can be valuable defensively, it also leaves Aegislash weak to common moves such as Knock Off, Spectral Thief and Moongeist Beam, the latter being one of the best moves on specially offensive Pokemon. Aegislash often competes with Registeel as a defensive Steel type, but its immunity to Fighting gives it an edge over Registeel on some teams containing Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X.

[Prankster]
Aegislash @ Safety Goggles / Darkinium Z / Icium Z
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Haze / Encore
- Shore Up
- U-Turn / Parting Shot
- Destiny Bond

[Moves]

Haze allows Aegislash to neuter common users of Power Trip and Stored Power. It is also an emergency answer to setup sweepers. Shore Up is for recovery, and is indisputably the best recovery move due to healing 66% in Sand with no drawbacks. U-Turn is used for slow pivoting, keeping momentum and safely bringing in an offensive teammate capable of revenging a threat or a sweeper that is able to safely set up on the opposing Pokemon. Parting Shot allows it to decrease a Pokemon's offenses while bringing in a check to the opposing offensive threat. It's notably good for staying in vs threats like Mega Gengar and Mega Garchomp. However, it does not work versus Dark Types nor Magic Bounce Pokemon, so this can result in the other side gaining momentum while you do not. Encore lets Aegislash lock the foe into a favorable move for you to gain momentum on, such as Endeavor on Shedinja, Rapid Spin on Solgaleo or Fake Out on common users of -ate such as Rayquaza-Mega, Diancie-Mega or Kyurem-Black. Encore also allows you to lock most setup sweepers into a setup move, gaining momentum. Examples of this include Regigigas' Shift Gear, various Tail Glow sweepers and various Quiver Dance sweepers. Destiny Bond allows Aegislash to serve as a trade with an opposing Pokemon, either once Aegislash has done its job and has no more business being on the field or when the trade is greatly in your benefit. However, ensure you pair Destiny Bond with U-Turn specifically to ward off attacks for as long as you can. Spectral Thief is an option over Haze to minimize Aegislash's passivity and blocking Pokemon from setting up. However, this comes at the price of not being able to remove stat boosts that have been set up before Aegislash has come in, forcing it to take a hit before removing the stat boosts. Baton Pass is an option for pivoting if you are running Spectral Thief, as it allows you to pass stolen boosts as well as conserve PP in general. Core Enforcer is an option to remove abilities such as Poison Heal, Aerilate and Regenerator on any Pokemon faster than it. In addition, its base 60 Speed allows it to underspeed all common offensive threats which helps this move do its job. However, Aegislash already struggles to fit in everything it wishes to, so running Core Enforcer is a luxury that it often won't have.

[Set Details]

Safety Goggles allows Aegislash an immunity to Spore, granting the opportunity to potentially Encore and as a result giving the player a free turn of momentum. A Sassy nature in conjunction with 0 IVs and EVs in Speed allows you to maximize special bulk underspeed key pivots in the metagame, such as Giratina and Solgaleo. Prankster allows you to gain priority on all of your status moves, which is appreciated by multiple moves on the set - In particular, Encore, Haze and Destiny Bond. Icium Z helps in general by removing your opponent's stat boosts while healing your HP to full value upon using Haze. It's useful when you're low on HP and need to bring yourself back to full. Darkinium Z in conjunction with Parting Shot lets you heal up a Pokemon on your team in case of an emergency, but this is stopped by Magic Bounce or Dark types.

[Usage Tips]

Switch in Aegislash on Pokemon that use moves which Aegislash resistssuch as Mega Diancie, Mega Rayquaza or Kyurem-Black and Encore them into the resisted move so you can heal yourself, Core Enforcer the offensive threat or the switchin, or use U-Turn to gain momentum. Aegislash, while having respectable bulk and typing, should not be played recklessly as a wall as it relies on its slew of resistances to make up for its middling bulk in the metagame. Use opportunities where the opponent cannot damage you to heal your health. Ensure you grab an opportunity to gain momentum whenever possible. Since Aegislash is slower than a good portion of the metagame, it can aid your momentum with U-Turn by allowing you to bring in something that can directly threaten the opponent's Pokemon. Scout for coverage moves to hit Aegislash such as V-Create, Precipice Blades or Moongeist Beam, as a surprise coverage move can risk Aegislash being KOed easily or significantly weakened.

[Team Options]
Zygarde-Complete checks a lot of what checks Aegislash such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar. In addition, it can use many of the support moves Aegislash uses such as Defog or Core Enforcer, freeing up moveslots for Aegislash to spend on something else. Magic Bounce Audino can help ease the matchup against Mega Gengar, being able to bounce back moves such as Entrainment or Lovely Kiss and being immune to its Judgment across all of its sets. Most Yveltal sets are good at checking Mega Gengar, due to their primary Dark typing allowing them a Dark-type Revelation Dance which helps combat Normalize and a resistance to Mega Gengar's Judgment. Yveltal also has good overall bulk. Mega Mewtwo Y is an excellent offensive check to a lot of what checks Aegislash such as Mega Gengar or Primal Kyogre. Sheer Force and Psychic Surge sets both do an excellent job of checking these three Pokemon due to Mega Gengar's natural weakness to Psychic moves and Primal Kyogre's low physical bulk which Mewtwo-Mega-Y hits with Bolt Strike or Psystrike. As Aegislash walls a plethora of offensive threats in the tier due to its nice defensive typing, putting one of these offensive threats on your team, such as Mega Mewtwo X, will allow you to punch holes in the opponent's teams while making sure yours is unscathed by the opponent's Imposter.

[Magic Bounce]
Aegislash @ Leftovers / Darkinium Z / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Topsy Turvy/Haze/Spectral Thief
- U-turn / Parting Shot
- Shore Up
- Defog/Core Enforcer

[Moves]
Topsy Turvy allows you to invert the opponent's stat boosts and is a good option for scouting opposing Magic Bounce in case other teammates have targeting status moves that would be unfortunate to have Bounced back. Haze can be run over Topsy Turvy, as it removes boosts that setup sweepers attain throughout the match, regardless of the ability that the setup sweepers use. Spectral Thief allows you to steal the opponent's stat boosts and take them, while also allowing Aegislash to not be as passive. U-Turn is a momentum grabber, allowing you to bring in a Pokemon capable of setting up on or revenge killing the opponent. Alternatively, Parting Shot can be used to lower the opponent's offensive stats and bring in a different wall or an offensive Pokemon that can set up on it. However, it doesn't work on Magic Bounce, so this may result in your opponent gaining momentum, forcing you to rely on double switches to gain momentum. Shore Up is for reliable recovery, healing 66% in sand with no downsides. Defog removes entry hazards from both sides of the field. Core Enforcer is used to take away opposing abilities such as Poison Heal and -ates, allowing Aegislash to put pressure on the opponent.

[Set Details]
Leftovers allows it to get free healing in between each turn, which is useful at all times. Rocky Helmet allows you to chip opponents when they use moves that make contact, suck as U-Turn, -ate boosted Extreme Speed or -ate boosted Fake Out. Magic Bounce is useful for bouncing back entry hazards from non-Mold Breaker Pokemon and bouncing back status moves such as Spore or Will-O-Wisp. This ability can be useful against teams that rely on hazards or status to do damage, but can be circumvented by Core Enforcer which hurts this set. Darkinium Z can be used in conjunction with Parting Shot to restore full HP to any of your team members in a pinch while also gaining momentum. A lack of investment in Speed in conjunction with 0 IVs and a Sassy Nature allows you to underspeed as much as possible whilst maximizing your special bulk.

[Usage Tips]
Switch Aegislash in on predicted status moves from Pokemon that cannot harm it, such as Mega Audino and Registeel. Despite not having the luxury of priority recovery that the Prankster set does, Aegislash's Magic Bounce set can still function as an -ate switchin due to its typing. Don't play Aegislash recklessly as Magic Bounce can be incredibly valuable in the course of a game, due to bouncing back hazards, status effects and other moves. Scout for users of Parting Shot and switch in on a predicted one to gain free momentum. If you use Z Parting Shot, scout for Soundproof or opposing Magic Bounce and use it wisely, as wasting your Z-Move can often put you at a very disadvantageous position. Scouting for coverage is much more important here than on Prankster as you do not have Prankster Destiny Bond to punish the use of coverage moves such as V-Create.

[Team Options]
As this set is much more reliant on scouting for coverage, it is much more important to keep a Pokemon that can tank common users of said coverage. Zygarde-Complete does the job well, walling Pokemon that hit Aegislash super effectively such as Mega Blaziken, Mega Gyarados or Mega Tyranitar. Having fast offensive threats that can revenge the threats that check Aegislash is appreciated in case you manage to find an opportunity for a free switch. Mega Mewtwo X in particular goes nicely due to beating threats such as Primal Kyogre, Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados while also being walled by Aegislash which helps your team be more resistant to Imposter. Mega Mewtwo Y can handle threats to Aegislash that Mega Mewtwo X cannot, such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza or Mega Diancie by either outspeeding them or taking a hit and OHKOing back with coverage or Psychic Surge boosted STAB.

[Flash Fire]
Aegislash @ Safety Goggles / Darkinium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shore Up
- U-turn / Parting Shot
- Defog / Core Enforcer / Spectral Thief

[Moves]
Will-O-Wisp is a useful move for crippling Physical attackers or forcing recovery from walls over the course of a game. Shore Up is the best recovery move for this set alone due to gaining 66% health in Sand with no consequence outside of it or in other weather. U-Turn is used to gain momentum, bringing in something that can either revenge kill or better handle the current adversary. Parting Shot is also used to gain momentum while lowering your opponent's offensive stats. However, this is reflected by Magic Bounce and cannot be used on Soundproof Pokemon. Defog is used to remove hazards from both sides of the field. Core Enforcer can be used over Defog if you already have hazard removal or have no need for it. Spectral Thief can be used if you wish to have a better matchup against setup in general. Entrainment is an option to take away Poison Heal and other abilities such as -ate, Regenerator, and Sturdy.

[Set Details]

Safety Goggles blocks Spore, which ensures that your foe gets no free turns by using it. However, it does not block Lovely Kiss, so it is not guaranteed to check sleep. Darkinium Z in conjunction with Parting Shot allows you to restore the HP of any Pokemon to 100% just once in the match should Parting Shot be executed successfully. It also allows Aegislash to function as a Trick/Switcheroo absorber. Minimum speed ensures Aegislash outspeeds as much as possible so it can go last and give you momentum with U-Turn. Flash Fire blocks V-Create which is a common coverage option on -ates and a common boosting move for Contrary, which allows Aegislash to check these two sets better.

[Usage Tips]

Feel free to use this set as a switch-in to -ate users such as Diancie-Mega, Rayquaza-Mega or Kyurem-Black. However, be sure to scout for Precipice Blades, as that is a coverage move that can be used over V-Create on -ates to hit Flash Fire Steel-types. Use Will-O-Wisp to scout for Magic Bounce. Flash Fire Aegislash is a semi-reliable Physical Contrary check as well as a good Mega Mewtwo X answer while also answering -ates better than the other two sets due to being immune to V-Create.

[Team Options]
Misty Surge support can let Aegislash run an item other than Safety Goggles without having to worry about Spore, allowing it to run items such as Leftovers, Rocky Helmet or a Z Crystal. In addition, Misty Surge decreases the damage output from Draco Meteor which can help in the matchup versus Contrary. Dark-types such as Mega Tyranitar, Mega Gyarados and Yveltal wall the threats that Flash Fire Aegislash struggles to handle, such as Mega Gengar and Psychic Surge, Sheer Force or Contrary variants of Mega Mewtwo Y. Mega Audino is immune to Moongeist Beam, which lets it take on the special setup sweepers using this move that Aegislash struggles to take on, such as Triage Mega Rayquaza or Shell Smash setup Pokemon oriented specially.

[Other Options]

A Levitate set is optional, but Flash Fire will generally wall -ates more reliably as V-Create is better coverage on them. In addition, Celesteela fulfills the role of a Ground-immune Steel due to its typing, so it wouldn't be good to run Aegislash unless you were to Imposterproof a specific threat.

[Checks and Counters]

• Super-Effective Coverage - Super-effective coverage move such as V-Create and Precipice Blades on common offensive Pokemon OHKOs or greatly damages Aegislash if it is not running an ability to mitigate damage such as Flash Fire or Levitate. Due to its low HP stat, it relies on resisted hits to do its job.
• Magic Bounce - Pokemon that use Magic Bounce such as Mega Audino, Giratina, Zygarde-Complete and Yveltal have no issues with switching in on Aegislash as Aegislash relies on status moves to put in work versus the opponents team and therefore cannot do much versus Magic Bounce users.
• Mega Gengar - Mega Gengar can do a huge chunk to or OHKO Aegislash with its STAB Judgment. However, Aegislash has access to Prankster Destiny Bond on one of its sets, so this could potentially ward off Gengar attacking.
• Strong Neutral Hits - Strong neutral hits such as Primal Kyogre's Water Spout and Galvanize Zekrom's Boomburst can do a strong amount to Aegislash. While not enough to OHKO it, it's enough to force it to use recovery or switch out.
• Defensive Ghost and Dark types - Defensive Ghost and Dark types such as Yveltal and Giratina often carry coverage such as Revelation Dance, Spectral Thief, or Pursuit which can hurt Aegislash a lot.

i thought electric types were fast

am qc o/
red = notes for myself in wip stage, will be removed later
[Overview]

• Unique defensive typing in Ghost/Steel allow Aegislash to wall and/or pivot on common sets of various Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Diancie, Solgaleo and Mega Rayquaza.
• Commendable 60/150/150 bulk lets it function as an effective switchin to a multitude of Pokemon
• Ghost typing means it can't be trapped by Pokemon that use trapping abilities such as Primal Groudon and Gengarite Gengar, allowing it to escape their traps without compromising its item slot.
• Ghost typing also allows it to block Rapid Spin and Endeavor, inconveniencing both Regenerator Assault Vest Solgaleo and Sturdy Shedinja.
• Immunity to Fighting along with the myriad of resistances granted by its unique typing allow it to wall common Contrary sets in conjunction with Flash Fire.
• Ghost typing can be a hindrance as it is weak to Moongeist Beam, one of the best moves on specially offensive Pokemon.
• xatu idk how this got here but leaving it in until i get out of wip
maybe mention the fact that it's significantly less bulky than registeel so it's pressured a lot more by stuff like ogre steam eruption. also magnet pull is pretty popular so emphasize aegi's ability to avoid it

[Prankster]
Aegislash @ Safety Goggles / Icium Z Good against Contrary / Darkinium Z Good for healing up your wincon in an emergency situation, last slash due to threat of Magic Bounce
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Haze
- Shore Up
- U-Turn / Parting Shot
- Encore / Defog / Destiny Bond

[Moves]

• haze allows Aegislash to neuter common users of aps
• shore up best recovery option
• u-turn for slow pivoting, keeping momentum and occasionally bringing in an offensive mon capable of revenging a threat
• parting shot allows it to decrease a pokemon's offenses while bringing in a check to the opposing offensive threat.
• encore lets aegislash lock the foe into a favorable move for you to gain momentum on, such as endeavor on shedinja or rapid spin on solgaleo
• defog allows aegislash to get rid of hazards on both sides of the battle, however you cannot use this on dark type pokemon or dazzling pokemon
• destiny bond allows aegislash to serve as an emergency trade to pokemon you have no answer for and want eliminated
maybe add core/thief here too, it's necessary imo otherwise aegi is so passive and everything kinda just sets up shell smash on it and gets a kill if you u-turn.

[Set Details]

• safety goggles allows aegislash to come into a pokemon's spore and potentially Encore, giving the player a free turn of momentum.
• A Relaxed nature in conjunction with 0 IVs and EVs in speed allows you to underspeed key pivots in the metagame, such as Giratina and solgaleo.
• Prankster allows you to gain priority on all of your status moves, which is appreciated by multiple moves on the set - In particular, Encore, Haze and Destiny Bond.
• Icium Z helps against Contrary by removing your opponent's stat boosts while healing your HP to full value via Z Haze. how does it help against contrary? they just boost up again
• Darkinium Z in conjunction with Parting shot lets you heal up a Pokemon on your team in case of an emergency, but this is stopped by Magic Bounce or Dark types.

[Usage Tips]

• This set functions as a good answer to physically oriented Pokemon using the combination of shell smash, power trip and dazzling, queenly majesty or psychic surge due to removing their stat boosts and thereby neutralizing their main way of damaging Aegislash.
• This set also functions as a decent switch-in to common -ate Extremespeed users, such as Rayquaza, Diancie and Kyurem-Black.

Going to finish this today/tomorrow, need two days or so to rework this analysis for post-Magnet Pull ban but just posting to confirm I'm not dead

Funbot28

Banned deucer.
Overview:
* "Aegislash functions as a nice pivot to Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Diancie by virtue of resisting most of their STAB moves. However, these Pokemon commonly run coverage that hits Aegislash, so it is recommended to use a pivotal move or ability such as Parting Shot + Prankster or Flash Fire."
You kinda mention this in your first point already. Just say that its weak to common coverage moves like Spectral, Moongeist, and Koff, meaning that it has a harder time switching into these threats compared to something like Registeel. That last part can go somewhere in the Set Details or Usage Tips.
* I woudn't say that Registeel is necessarily better, just that it is more team specific then the former Steel-type due to its typing leaving it susceptible to stack weaknesses with its teammates, specifically Giratina.

Prankster
* Slash Darkinium Z before Icium Z

Moves:
* Haze in general is an emergency answer to setup sweepers, so just add that on top of what you have already.
* Remove that bit about Shore Up and just say its a recovery move.
* Parting Shot also allows it to stay in versus threats like Primal Groudon and Mega Gengar, allowing it to escape while weakening the opposing threat for its incoming teammate.
* Also mention Encore for setup sweepers.
* Specify that Destiny Bond just be paired with U-Turn specifically.
* I would add both Spectral Thief and Baton Pass on that bullet.

Set Details:
* Sassy nature should be slashed first, with Relaxed being left here as a mention.
* Icium Z is helpful in general when Aegi is low and needs to pull of a Haze on a setup sweeper, Contrary mons can still click their Fire coverage the next turn and do a hell of a lot even at +0.

Usage Tips:
* Its not only specific to what you mentioned at the first point, just a great emergency answer to setup that can be slapped on a majority of teams.

Team Options?

Magic Bounce:
* Darkinium Z should be slashed first

Moves:
* Refer to Shore Up fix above
* The point on Core Enforcer seems to have been missed

Usage Tips:
* Also mention that it does not have the luxury of priority recovery as well
* Add mention of scouting for coverage moves like in previous set.

Team Options?

Flash Fire:

Moves:
* Slash Sprectral and Core in the set itself

Team Options:
Generally you have bullet points and do it in a paragraph form later on.

* First mention should be partners that it can improof, such as Fire coverage Mega Diancie and Contrary Mega Mewtwo X.
* Zygarde-C should be mentioned over Giratina, Ghost + Ghost is no bueno imo.

Other Options:
* Remove weather setter option, that archetype is not significant enough to consider.

Check and Counters:
* Replace V-Create with SE coverage moves in general
* Have point with Ghost and Dark-types in general that threaten Aegislash

Implement this and I will check again.

I have ocd about AM QC'ing BH analysis so just gonna add on something to ^ post, implement what you agree

* Overview
- Weakness to Moongeist Beam leaves Aegislash vulnerable to Contrary users like MMY which Aegislash would normally check with Flash Fire sets
- I see Pursuit Gyarados a lot nowadays and this might be another notable threat to Aegislash, but I will let QC decide if this information is relevant enough

* Magic Bounce
- I'm not a huge fan of slapping Topsy-Turvy or Haze on non-Unaware 'mons because they can just OHKO Aegislash using Power Trip / Moongeist Beam or other moves that aim its weakness, but I will leave this to QC.

* Flash Fire
- Simple Beam / Topsy Turvy could work because stuff like Mega Rayquaza with Contrary can stay in, get to +6 with Draco Meteor, and just 2HKO Aegislash
- Anchor Shot is possible option to trap the likes of Mega Rayquaza of Mega Diancie relying on V-create to circumvent Steel-types, might fit better on Other Options section

* Team Options
- Specs Mega Ray 2HKOs Mega Ray with 64.5% chance after Stealth Rock, and this means slapping in other walls such as FC Chansey might be nice because they compensate each other's weakness and possibly add Knock Off absorber to this core
- Aegislash is good Prankster user in hyperoffense teams due to being emergency check to out-of-control sweeper while simultaneously functioning as a spinblocker which will keep hazards on field that would have likely been set in the beginning of the match.
- Switch-ins to Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar which would use Knock Off
- Teammate that would handle Primal Kyogre such as Primal Groudon (Red Orb), Gyarados, and others
- When it comes to Gengar, Audino checks most Normalize variants but the ones with dual STAB will threaten both Aegislash and Audino, and this makes Yveltal / Gyarados a good fit so I'd say this is worth a mention

* Checks and Counters
- V-create -> Super effective attacks: Due to Aegislash being heavily reliant on typing to function as a wall, supereffective moves are capable of 2HKOing most Aegislash variants. Fire-type moves like V-create from the likes of Primal Groudon will most likely OHKO non-Flash-Fire variants, same thing to Ground-type moves, and stuff like Knock Off will remove items while Moongeist Beam is being carried on most Special setup sweepers. If this section gets too long, you can separate it.
- Primal Groudon / Primal Kyogre -> Strong neutral attacks: Again, Aegislash is reliant on its myriad of resistances to take hits with its mediocre bulk with 60 HP, and this means Water Spout from Primal Kyogre or attacks from Galvanize users might threaten to 2HKO it.
- Mega Gengar looks okay but mention how Aegislash can take it down using Prankster Dbond in emergency so that will make some connections with Prankster set you mentioned, I guess

- Mega Gengar looks okay but mention how Aegislash can take it down using Prankster Dbond in emergency so that will make some connections with Prankster set you mentioned, I guess
Implemented all of these Funbot28

AM QC check
A bit disorganized but all the comments are in bold.
[Overview]

• Unique defensive typing in Ghost/Steel allow Aegislash to wall and/or pivot on common sets of various Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Diancie, Solgaleo and Mega Rayquaza.
• Commendable 60/150/150 bulk lets it function as an effective switchin to a multitude of Pokemon.
• Aegislash functions as a nice pivot to Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Diancie by virtue of resisting most of their STAB moves. However, these Pokemon commonly run coverage that hits Aegislash, so it is recommended to use a pivotal move or ability such as Parting Shot + Prankster or Flash Fire.
• Due to its Ghost typing, Aegislash is weak to common utility moves such as Knock Off or Spectral Thief. In addition, its Ghost typing can be a hindrance as it is weak to Moongeist Beam, one of the best moves on specially offensive Pokemon. Due to these reasons as well as better bulk, Registeel functions better than Aegislash as a Steel type.

[Prankster]
Aegislash @ Safety Goggles / Darkinium Z / Icium Z
I have never seen anyone use z haze. Consider moving to OO? I guess it's good for switching in on Contrary mons, but you still can only trade with them.
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Haze
- Shore Up
- U-Turn / Parting Shot
- Encore / Destiny Bond

[Moves]

• Haze allows Aegislash to neuter common users of Power Trip and Stored Power. It is also an emergency answer to setup sweepers.
• Shore Up is for recovery.
• U-Turn is used for slow pivoting, keeping momentum and safely bringing in an offensive teammate capable of revenging a threat or a sweeper that is able to safely set up on the opposing Pokemon.
• Parting Shot allows it to decrease a Pokemon's offenses while bringing in a check to the opposing offensive threat. It's notably good for staying in vs threats like Primal Groudon and Mega Gengar.
Reword for clarity, I think you mean that it's good for not being forced to switch out, it sounds like you're actually staying in to take the hit.
• Encore lets Aegislash lock the foe into a favorable move for you to gain momentum on, such as Endeavor on Shedinja, Rapid Spin on Solgaleo or Fake Out on common users of -ate such as Rayquaza-Mega, Diancie-Mega or Kyurem-Black. Encore also allows you to lock most setup sweepers into a setup move, gaining momentum. Examples of this include Regigigas' Shift Gear, various Tail Glow sweepers and various Quiver Dance sweepers.
• Destiny Bond allows Aegislash to serve as a trade with an opposing Pokemon, either once Aegislash has done its job and has no more business being on the field or when the trade is greatly in your benefit. However, ensure you pair Destiny Bond with U-Turn specifically to ward off attacks for as long as you can.
• Spectral Thief is an option over Haze to minimize Aegislash's passivity and blocking Pokemon from setting up.
Plus it can't hit normals like the afformentioned Regi, it can't remove Normalize Mega Gengar's stat boosts though if you're staying in against Gengar you're stupid
• Core Enforcer is an option to remove abilities such as Poison Heal, Aerilate and Regenerator on any Pokemon faster than it. However, Aegislash already struggles to fit in everything it wishes to, so running Core Enforcer is a luxury that it often won't have.

[Set Details]

• Safety Goggles allows Aegislash an immunity to Spore, granting the opportunity to potentially Encore and as a result giving the player a free turn of momentum.
• A Sassy nature in conjunction with 0 IVs and EVs in Speed allows you to maximize special bulk underspeed key pivots in the metagame, such as Giratina and Solgaleo. Relaxed is also an option, but Sassy allows you to take on -ates better due to higher bulk against their best raw powered attack in Boomburst.
• Prankster allows you to gain priority on all of your status moves, which is appreciated by multiple moves on the set - In particular, Encore, Haze and Destiny Bond.
• Icium Z helps in general by removing your opponent's stat boosts while healing your HP to full value upon using Haze. It's useful when you're low on HP and need to bring yourself back to full.
• Darkinium Z in conjunction with Parting shot lets you heal up a Pokemon on your team in case of an emergency, but this is stopped by Magic Bounce or Dark types.

[Usage Tips]

• This set functions as a good answer to setup in general that can fit on a multitude of teams.
• This set also functions as a decent switch-in to common -ate Extreme Speed users, such as Rayquaza-Mega, Diancie-Mega and Kyurem-Black.
Be aware choice specs mray boomburst has a high chance to 2hKO, guaranteed after stealth rock, though Aegi can recover or Parting Shot stall it if it doesn't get a crit, Moongeist is instakill though. 252 SpA Choice Specs Aerilate Rayquaza-Mega Boomburst vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 156-183 (48.1 - 56.4%) -- 88.3% chance to 2HKO
• Aegislash, while having respectable bulk and typing, should not be played recklessly as a wall. Use opportunities where the opponent cannot damage you to heal your health.
• Ensure you grab an opportunity to pivot whenever possible. Since Aegislash is slower than a good portion of the metagame, it can aid your momentum with U-Turn by allowing you to bring in something that can directly threaten the opponent's Pokemon.
• Scout for coverage moves to hit Aegislash such as V-Create, Precipice Blades or Moongeist Beam, as a surprise coverage move can risk Aegislash being KOed easily or significantly weakened.

[Team Options]
• Zygarde-Complete: Zygarde-Complete checks a lot of what checks Aegislash such as Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. In addition, it can use many of the support moves Aegislash uses such as Defog or Core Enforcer, freeing up moveslots for Aegislash to spend on something else.
Uhmmmmm, it ca'nt check most primal kyogre, especially the PH ones, because most of them run either Ice beam or moonblast. But this Aegislash actually checks PH Kyogre quite nicely since it can just Core Enforce the Poison Heal or Spectral Thief the boosts.
Plus Aegislash covers its fairy and ice and dragon weaknesses and Zygarde handles its fire and ground weaknesses (usually)

Audino-Mega: Magic Bounce Audino can help ease the matchup on Mega Gengar, being able to bounce back moves such as Entrainment or Lovely Kiss and being immune to its primary attack across all of its sets.
• Yveltal: Most Yveltal sets are good at checking Mega Gengar, due to their primary Dark typing allowing them a Dark-type Revelation Dance and a resistance to Mega Gengar's primary attack. Yveltal also has good overall bulk.
• Mega Mewtwo Y: Mega Mewtwo Y is an excellent offensive check to a lot of what checks Aegislash such as Primal Groudon, Mega Gengar or Primal Kyogre. Sheer Force and Psychic Surge sets both do an excellent job of checking these three Pokemon due to Primal Groudon's low special bulk, Mega Gengar's natural weakness to Psychic moves and Primal Kyogre's low physical bulk which Mewtwo-Mega-Y hits with Bolt Strike or Psystrike.
• Threats that it walls: Aegislash allows you to have a wall for many offensive threats. Putting one of these offensive threats on your team, such as Mega Mewtwo X, will allow you to punch holes in the opponent's teams while making sure yours is unscathed by the opponent's Imposter.
A physically defensive switchin to powerful special boomburst attackers, like a Soundproof mon, is good. Nothing in that previous checks list can switch in on a specs Mega Ray boomburst, I would suggest something like Fur Coat Chansey or a weird soundproof mon like Megapert to take those.
Imposter Chansey, lets you scout for suprise coverage, and can be safely pivoted in via prankster Parting Shot

Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Topsy Turvy/Haze/Spectral Thief
- U-turn / Parting Shot
- Shore Up
- Defog/Core Enforcer

[Moves]
• Topsy Turvy allows you to completely invert the opponent's stat boosts and is a good option for scouting opposing Magic Bounce in case other teammates have targeting status moves that would be unfortunate to have Bounced back.
• Haze hits Magic Bounce setup sweepers while also giving you the ability to heal yourself fully if you are holding Icium Z.
• Spectral Thief allows you to steal the opponent's stat boosts and take them,
• U-Turn is a momentum grabber, allowing you to bring in a Pokemon capable of setting up on or revenge killing the opponent.
• Alternatively, Parting Shot can be used to lower the opponent's offensive stats and bring in a different wall or an offensive Pokemon that can set up on it.
But it lets opposing bounce get momentum against you.
• Shore Up is for reliable recovery.
• Defog removes entry hazards from both sides of the field while also removing your opponent's screens.
• Core Enforcer is used to take away opposing abilities such as Poison Heal and -ates while making sure that Aegislash isn't entirely passive/

[Set Details]
• Leftovers allows it to get free healing in between each turn, which can be useful when the opponent uses a status move such as Defog or a move that does negligible damage such as U-Turn.
• Icium Z in conjunction with Haze allows you to restore your HP fully, keeping Aegislash healthy.
• Rocky Helmet allows you to chip opponents when they use moves that make contact, suck as U-Turn, -ate boosted Extreme Speed or -ate boosted Fake Out.
• Magic Bounce is useful for bouncing back entry hazards from non-Mold Breaker Pokemon and bouncing back status moves such as Spore or Will-O-Wisp.
• Darkinium Z can be used in conjunction with Parting Shot to restore full HP to any of your team members in a pinch while also gaining momentum.
• A lack of investment in Speed in conjunction with 0 IVs and a Sassy Nature allows you to underspeed as much as possible whilst maximizing your special bulk.

[Usage Tips]
• Switch Aegislash in on predicted status moves from Pokemon that cannot harm it, such as Audino and Registeel.
• This Aegislash can function as an -ate switchin; However, it risks being surprised by coverage more than Prankster due to not having Destiny Bond to ward coverage off or Encore to lock them into a favorable move. In addition, it does not have the luxury of priority recovery that the Prankster set does.
• Don't play Aegislash recklessly as Magic Bounce can be incredibly valuable in the course of a game.
• Scout for users of Parting Shot and switch in on a predicted one to gain free momentum.
• If you use Z Parting Shot, scout for Soundproof or opposing Magic Bounce and use it wisely, as wasting your Z-Move can often put you at a very disadvantageous position.
• Scouting for coverage is much more important here than on Prankster as you do not have Prankster Destiny Bond warding off coverage moves such as V-Create.

This is literally a copy-paste of the above section. I would add Sturdy Shedinja here, since Aegislash is pretty solid hhazard control unless the opponent is Moldy. Plus Shedinja can take all those coverage moves, except Moongeist.
Oh and Imposter Chansey.

[Flash Fire]
Aegislash @ Safety Goggles / Darkinium Z

Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shore Up
- U-turn / Parting Shot
- Defog / Core Enforcer / Spectral Thief

[Moves]
• Will-O-Wisp is a useful move for crippling Physical attackers or forcing recovery from walls over the course of a game.
• Shore Up is the best recovery move for this set alone due to gaining 66% health in Sand with no consequence outside of it or in other weather.
• U-Turn is used to gain momentum, bringing in something that can either revenge kill or better handle the current adversary.
• Parting Shot is also used to gain momentum while lowering your opponent's offensive stats. However, this is reflected by Magic Bounce and cannot be used on Soundproof Pokemon.
And it raises the stats of contrary mons..
• Defog is used to remove hazards from both sides of the field and your opponent's screens when needed.
But raises the evasion of Contrary mons which can bite back at inonvenient times, yes, this has happened to me.
• Core Enforcer can be used over Defog if you already have hazard removal or have no need for it. It lets you check Contrary better.
• Spectral Thief can be used over Defog if you wish to have a better matchup against setup in general.

[Set Details]

• Safety Goggles blocks Spore, which ensures that your foe gets no free turns by using it. However, it does not block Lovely Kiss, so it is not guaranteed to check sleep.
• Darkinium Z in conjunction with Parting Shot allows you to restore the HP of any Pokemon to 100% just once in the match should Parting Shot be executed successfully. It also allows Aegislash to function as a Trick/Switcheroo absorber.
• Minimum speed ensures Aegislash outspeeds as much as possible so it can go last and give you momentum with U-Turn.
• Flash Fire makes Aegislash a better -ate check than Magic Bounce, as V-Create is common -ate coverage. Flash Fire also helps in checking Contrary by blocking V-Create.
And overheat

[Usage Tips]

• Feel free to use this set as a switch-in to -ate users such as Diancie-Mega, Rayquaza-Mega or Kyurem-Black. However, be sure to scout for Precipice Blades, as that is still a coverage move.
That 2hKOs Aegislash. I mean High Horsepower is a 'coverage move" as well :).
• Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple an opposing Pokemon or scout for Magic Bounce with no consequence.
• Whenever you can, use U-Turn or Parting Shot to gain momentum on the foe.
It can be switched in on Contrary sets, take a hit from them and then hit back with Core, probably gaining a free turn as they uselessly try to use Overheeat or V-C to hit it/switch out if they know it's FF already. But don't Parting Shot contrary mons, switch your imposter in on them instead, then they will probably have lower stats than the imposter
Just make sure you have high health all the time if you can, or it can't check anything

Add Giratina, which is more specially bulky than Zygarde-C and can check more threats but adds extra weaknesses like another ghost and dark weakness

• Threats that it walls: Aegislash allows you to have a wall for many offensive threats. Putting one of these offensive threats on your team, such as Pixilate Mega Diancie with Fire coverage, will allow you to punch holes in the opponent's teams while making sure yours is unscathed by the opponent's Imposter.

add strong setup sweepers that can now freely run Fire coverage to hit enemy Steels and you can imposterproof them with Aegislash, like Mguard Mega diancie or Smash blazicon (once Groudon-p is hopefully banned), Pixilate Diancie with v-create coverage which just runs through a lot of other teams, Contrary MMY of your own with psychboost/overheat/fleur cannon and a filler attacking move that doesn't raise your stats, since the imposter will beat Aegislash if it's at +4 spatk.
Something that takes really really powerful attacks like Registeel to check specs -ate boomburst from mray. This thing doesn't have the health to spare to be your only -ate check since it also will have to check Contrary
Something that can beat dark-type setup sweepers, this thing can't switch in on a Shell Smash from ttar, yveltal, or gyarados. I would suggest Unaware Gyarados wihch can even live a 260 bp power trip from any mon even Ttar, and Sthief the boosts from it

[Other Options]

• A Levitate set is optional, but Flash Fire will generally wall -ates more reliably as V-Create is better coverage on them. In addition, Celesteela fulfills the role of a Ground-immune Steel due to its typing, so it wouldn't be good to run Aegislash unless you were to Imposterproof a specific threat.
This is just bad
Sunsteel strike KOs sturdy Shed and bops Mega Audino, which otherwise walls you and probably bounces back all your status moves, a lot of them are mbounce and the rest are PH, and immune to Core Enforcer and Spectral Thief

[Checks and Counters]

• Super-Effective Moves - Super-Effective moves such as V-Create and Precipice Blades on common offensive Pokemon OHKOs or greatly damages Aegislash if it is not running an ability to mitigate damage such as Flash Fire or Levitate. Due to its low HP stat, it relies on resisted hits to do its job.
Levitate ...
• Primal Groudon - It hits Aegislash with one STAB move or the other, either OHKOing Aegislash or leaving it at very low HP. It is recommended to run Giratina on your team, just to have an attempt to check Primal Groudon.
Interesting that this wasn't mentioned at ALL in team options, you kept saying Zygarde-C
• Strong Neutral Hits - Strong neutral hits such as Primal Kyogre's Water Spout and Galvanize Zekrom's Boomburst can do a strong amount to Aegislash. While not enough to OHKO it, it's enough to force it to use recovery.
• Mega Gengar - Mega Gengar can do a huge chunk to or OHKO Aegislash with its STAB Judgment. However, Aegislash has access to Prankster Destiny Bond on one of its sets, so this could potentially ward off Gengar attacking.

• Defensive Ghost and Dark types - Defensive Ghost and Dark types such as Yveltal and Giratina often carry coverage such as Revelation Dance, Spectral Thief, or Pursuit which can hurt Aegislash a lot.

Aegislash functions as a nice pivot to Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Diancie by virtue of resisting most of their STAB moves. u said this like a hundred times already However, these Pokemon commonly run coverage that hits Aegislash, so it is recommended to use a pivotal move or ability such as Parting Shot + Prankster or Flash Fire. this reads more like a usage tips sentence or something. remove mentions of counterplay, thats for the later sections. mention how its bulk isnt good enough to take repeated super effective coverage moves from the likes of mmy and co.

Due to these reasons as well as better bulk, Registeel functions better than Aegislash as a Steel type. dont say regi is better because then there would be no reason to use aegislash. move this regi bit to its own bullet point and elaborate on how it competes with registeel as an all-purpose defensive steel type

In addition, it does not have the luxury of priority recovery that the Prankster set does. if its so much worse then why is this an ate switchin at all then
• Don't play Aegislash recklessly as Magic Bounce can be incredibly valuable in the course of a game. this is far too vague
• Scout for users of Parting Shot and switch in on a predicted one to gain free momentum.
• If you use Z Parting Shot, scout for Soundproof or opposing Magic Bounce and use it wisely, as wasting your Z-Move can often put you at a very disadvantageous position.
• Scouting for coverage is much more important here than on Prankster as you do not have Prankster Destiny Bond warding off punish the use of coverage moves such as V-Create.

• Shore Up is the best recovery move for this set alone due to gaining 66% health in Sand with no consequence outside of it or in other weather. u should have stated this earlier as well
• U-Turn is used to gain momentum, bringing in something that can either revenge kill or better handle the current adversary.
• Parting Shot is also used to gain momentum while lowering your opponent's offensive stats. However, this is reflected by Magic Bounce and cannot be used on Soundproof Pokemon.
• Defog is used to remove hazards from both sides of the field and your opponent's screens when needed. see above
• Core Enforcer can be used over Defog if you already have hazard removal or have no need for it. It lets you check Contrary better. u really cant check contrary even with this move. both mmy and mega ray can 3hko on the switch in so core doesnt do anything. ur pretty much banking on them using v-create or spore or w/e
• Spectral Thief can be used over Defog if you wish to have a better matchup against setup in general.

Flash Fire also helps in checking Contrary by blocking V-Create. condense this into one sentence

see above. mention misty surge support here as well, helpful in nerfing draco damage and frees up the item slot, improving the matchup vs contrary tremendously

[Checks and Counters]

• Super-Effective Moves Coverage - Super-Effective coverage moves such as V-Create and Precipice Blades on common offensive Pokemon OHKOs or greatly damages Aegislash if it is not running an ability to mitigate damage such as Flash Fire or Levitate. Due to its low HP stat, it relies on resisted hits to do its job.
• Primal Groudon - It hits Aegislash with one STAB move or the other, either OHKOing Aegislash or leaving it at very low HP. It is recommended to run Giratina on your team, just to have an attempt to check Primal Groudon.
magic bounce mons like audino wall p much all its sets completely

• Ghost typing also allows it to block Rapid Spin and Endeavor, inconveniencing both Regenerator Assault Vest Solgaleo and Sturdy Shedinja. certain hazard removal mons > av solgaleo. not all people associate rapid spin with that specific set and solgaleo isnt exactly the end all be all of rapid spin users
• Immunity to Fighting along with the myriad of resistances granted by its unique typing allow it to wall common Contrary sets in conjunction with Flash Fire.
Due to its Ghost typing, Aegislash is weak to common utility moves such as Knock Off or and Spectral Thief. In addition, its Ghost typing can be a hindrance as it is weak to Moongeist Beam, one of the best moves on specially offensive Pokemon. "Due to its Ghost typing, Aegislash is weak to common moves such as Knock Off, Spectral Thief and Moongeist Beam, the latter being one of the best moves on specially offensive Pokemon. Due to these reasons as well as better bulk, Registeel functions better than Aegislash as a Steel type. dont say regi is better because then there would be no reason to use aegislash. move this regi bit to its own bullet point and elaborate on how it competes with registeel as an all-purpose defensive steel type

- Haze / Encore
- Shore Up
- U-Turn / Parting Shot
- Encore / Destiny Bond

[Moves]

• Haze allows Aegislash to neuter common users of Power Trip and Stored Power. It is also an emergency answer to setup sweepers.
• Shore Up is for recovery. surely you can say a little more about this move
It's notably good for staying in vs threats like Primal Groudon pick a different example. and Mega Gengar. mention how it doesnt work vs dark types.
• Core Enforcer is an option to remove abilities such as Poison Heal, Aerilate and Regenerator on any Pokemon faster than it. mention its base 60 speed helps However, Aegislash already struggles to fit in everything it wishes to, so running Core Enforcer is a luxury that it often won't have.

Relaxed is also an option, but Sassy allows you to take on -ates better due to higher bulk against their best raw powered attack in Boomburst. why is relaxed an option? how does the extra def come in useful?
• Prankster allows you to gain priority on all of your status moves, which is appreciated by multiple moves on the set - In particular, Encore, Haze and Destiny Bond.
• Darkinium Z in conjunction with Parting shot lets you heal up a Pokemon on your team in case of an emergency, but this is stopped by Magic Bounce or Dark types.
• Icium Z helps in general by removing your opponent's stat boosts while healing your HP to full value upon using Haze. It's useful when you're low on HP and need to bring yourself back to full.

[Usage Tips]

• This set functions as a good answer to setup in general that can fit on a multitude of teams.
• This set also functions as a decent switch-in to common -ate Extreme Speed users, such as Rayquaza-Mega, Diancie-Mega and Kyurem-Black.
either reword this or remove it altogether. this doesnt tell the reader how to use this mon
• Aegislash, while having respectable bulk and typing, should not be played recklessly as a wall. why not? Use opportunities where the opponent cannot damage you to heal your health.
• Ensure you grab an opportunity to pivot gain momentum whenever possible.

• Haze hits Magic Bounce setup sweepers while also giving you the ability to heal yourself fully if you are holding Icium Z. haze works regardless of the opponents ability > haze hits magic bounce
• Spectral Thief allows you to steal the opponent's stat boosts and take them,
• U-Turn is a momentum grabber, allowing you to bring in a Pokemon capable of setting up on or revenge killing the opponent.
• Alternatively, Parting Shot can be used to lower the opponent's offensive stats and bring in a different wall or an offensive Pokemon that can set up on it. mention its downsides
• Shore Up is for reliable recovery.
• Defog removes entry hazards from both sides of the field while also removing your opponent's screens. not really relevant
• Core Enforcer is used to take away opposing abilities such as Poison Heal and -ates, while making sure that Aegislash isn't entirely passive/ allowing aegislash to put pressure on the opponent

[Set Details]

• Icium Z in conjunction with Haze allows you to restore your HP fully, keeping Aegislash healthy. thats what shore ups for
• Rocky Helmet allows you to chip opponents when they use moves that make contact, suck as U-Turn, -ate boosted Extreme Speed or -ate boosted Fake Out.
• Magic Bounce is useful for bouncing back entry hazards from non-Mold Breaker Pokemon and bouncing back status moves such as Spore or Will-O-Wisp. mention how the ability makes aegislash troubling to deal with for bulky teams that rely on passive damage to win, but core enforcer can be used to remove this nerfing the set greatly
• Darkinium Z can be used in conjunction with Parting Shot to restore full HP to any of your team members in a pinch while also gaining momentum.

• Aegislash, while having respectable bulk and typing, should not be played recklessly as a wall as it relies on its slew of resistances to make up for its middling bulk in the metagame. Use opportunities where the opponent cannot damage you to heal your health.
• Ensure you grab an opportunity to gain momentum whenever possible.

• Zygarde-Complete checks a lot of what checks Aegislash such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar. In addition, it can use many of the support moves Aegislash uses such as Defog or Core Enforcer, freeing up moveslots for Aegislash to spend on something else.
• Magic Bounce Audino can help ease the matchup against Mega Gengar, being able to bounce back moves such as Entrainment or Lovely Kiss and being immune to its Judgment across all of its sets.
• Most Yveltal sets are good at checking Mega Gengar, due to their primary Dark typing allowing them a Dark-type Revelation Dance which helps combat Normalize and a resistance to Mega Gengar's Judgment. Yveltal also has good overall bulk.
• Mega Mewtwo Y is an excellent offensive check to a lot of what checks Aegislash such as Mega Gengar or Primal Kyogre.
• As Aegislash walls a plethora of offensive threats in the tier due to its nice defensive typing, putting one of these offensive threats on your team, such as Mega Mewtwo X, will allow you to punch holes in the opponent's teams while making sure yours is unscathed by the opponent's Imposter.

[Magic Bounce]
Aegislash @ Leftovers / Darkinium Z / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Topsy Turvy/Haze/Spectral Thief
- U-turn / Parting Shot
- Shore Up
- Defog/Core Enforcer

[Moves]
• Topsy Turvy allows you to invert the opponent's stat boosts and is a good option for scouting opposing Magic Bounce in case other teammates have targeting status moves that would be unfortunate to have Bounced back.
• Haze removes boosts that setup sweepers attain throughout the match, regardless of the ability that the setup sweepers use.
• Spectral Thief allows you to steal the opponent's stat boosts and take them, while also allowing Aegislash to not be as passive.
However, it doesn't work on Magic Bounce, so this may result in your opponent gaining momentum, forcing you to rely on double switches to gain momentum.
• Shore Up is for reliable recovery, healing 66% in sand with no downsides.
• Defog removes entry hazards from both sides of the field.
• Core Enforcer is used to take away opposing abilities such as Poison Heal and -ates, allowing Aegislash to put pressure on the opponent.

[Set Details]
• Leftovers allows it to get free healing in between each turn, which is useful at all times.
This ability can be useful against teams that rely on hazards or status to do damage, but can be circumvented by Core Enforcer which hurts this set.

• Switch Aegislash in on predicted status moves from Pokemon that cannot harm it, such as Mega Audino and Registeel.
• Despite not having the luxury of priority recovery that the Prankster set does, Aegislash's Magic Bounce set can still function as an -ate switchin due to its typing.
• Don't play Aegislash recklessly as Magic Bounce can be incredibly valuable in the course of a game, due to bouncing back hazards, status effects and other moves.
• Scout for users of Parting Shot and switch in on a predicted one to gain free momentum.
• If you use Z Parting Shot, scout for Soundproof or opposing Magic Bounce and use it wisely, as wasting your Z-Move can often put you at a very disadvantageous position.
• Scouting for coverage is much more important here than on Prankster as you do not have Prankster Destiny Bond to punish the use of coverage moves such as V-Create.

[Team Options]
• As this set is much more reliant on scouting for coverage, it is much more important to keep a Pokemon that can tank common users of said coverage. Zygarde-Complete does the job well, walling Pokemon that hit Aegislash super effectively such as Mega Blaziken, Mega Gyarados or Mega Tyranitar.
• Having fast offensive threats that can revenge the threats that check Aegislash is appreciated in case you manage to find an opportunity for a free switch. Mega Mewtwo X in particular goes nicely due to beating threats such as Primal Kyogre, Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados while also being walled by Aegislash which helps your team be more resistant to Imposter.
• Mega Mewtwo Y can handle threats to Aegislash that Mega Mewtwo X cannot, such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza or Mega Diancie by either outspeeding them or taking a hit and OHKOing back with coverage or Psychic Surge boosted STAB.

[Flash Fire]
Aegislash @ Safety Goggles / Darkinium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shore Up
- U-turn / Parting Shot
- Defog / Core Enforcer / Spectral Thief

• Defog is used to remove hazards from both sides of the field.
• Core Enforcer can be used over Defog if you already have hazard removal or have no need for it.
• Spectral Thief can be used if you wish to have a better matchup against setup in general.
• Entrainment is an option to take away Poison Heal and other abilities such as -ate, Regenerator, and Sturdy.

• Flash Fire blocks V-Create which is a common coverage option on -ates and a common boosting move for Contrary, which allows Aegislash to check these two sets better.

[Usage Tips]

• Feel free to use this set as a switch-in to -ate users such as Diancie-Mega, Rayquaza-Mega or Kyurem-Black. However, be sure to scout for Precipice Blades, as that is a coverage move that can be used over V-Create on -ates to hit Flash Fire Steel-types.
• Use Will-O-Wisp to scout for Magic Bounce.
• Flash Fire Aegislash is a semi-reliable Physical Contrary check as well as a good Mega Mewtwo X answer while also answering -ates better than the other two sets due to being immune to V-Create.

[Team Options]
• Misty Surge support can let Aegislash run an item other than Safety Goggles without having to worry about Spore, allowing it to run items such as Leftovers, Rocky Helmet or a Z Crystal. In addition, Misty Surge decreases the damage output from Draco Meteor which can help in the matchup versus Contrary.
• Dark-types such as Mega Tyranitar, Mega Gyarados and Yveltal wall the threats that Flash Fire Aegislash struggles to handle, such as Mega Gengar and Psychic Surge, Sheer Force or Contrary variants of Mega Mewtwo Y.
• Mega Audino is immune to Moongeist Beam, which lets it take on the special setup sweepers using this move that Aegislash struggles to take on, such as Triage Mega Rayquaza or Shell Smash setup Pokemon oriented specially.
