Ubers Arceus-Fairy

[OVERVIEW]

Arceus-Fairy has a really good defensive typing and is the best Arceus forme against Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-types such as Yveltal, Mega Salamence, Marshadow, and Mega Sableye. It has excellent stats overall and an expansive movepool that includes Stealth Rock, Recover, Toxic, and Calm Mind, allowing it to be a great support Pokemon that can set Stealth Rock against most entry hazard controllers and pressure them with Toxic or Judgment. Arceus-Fairy is also able to check plenty of threats and allow Primal Groudon to run an offensive set, or can be a deadly setup sweeper on more offensive teams with its Calm Mind set. Arceus-Fairy also has access to the unique Fairy-type Judgment coupled with coverage options and Toxic, which makes it able to pressure Fairy-resistant Pokemon found in offensive teams. However, Arceus-Fairy suffers from the omnipresence of Ho-Oh, Steel-types, and Mega Gengar. A downside of using Arceus-Fairy over Arceus-Ground or Arceus-Water in balance and bulky offense builds is being more vulnerable to Primal Groudon, Mega Lucario, Ho-Oh, and Primal Kyogre, as well as being more pressured by Mega Gengar.

Moves
========

Stealth Rock provides an entry hazard and is very good on Arceus-Fairy, as it's able to beat common hazard controllers with Fairy-type coverage and Toxic, and it frees Primal Groudon from having to run the move. Recover allows Arceus-Fairy to maintain its HP, allowing it to come in many times and check offensive threats more effectively. Judgment is Arceus-Fairy's main way to deal damage, hitting Dragon- and Dark-types hard. Toxic is useful for threatening bulky Pokemon that Arceus-Fairy cannot beat with Judgment such as Primal Groudon and other support Arceus formes like Arceus-Water and Arceus-Ground. Earth Power breaks through Steel-types and Mega Gengar, which completely wall Arceus-Fairy otherwise. Arceus-Fairy needs to drop Toxic to use Earth Power, however, which makes it fairly unreliable against bulky threats such as Ho-Oh and support Arceus formes. Fire Blast surprises switch-ins such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela.

Set Details
========

Pixie Plate is held to boost Judgement's power. A Timid nature and 192 Speed EVs make Arceus-Fairy outspeed Jolly Mega Lucario. The EVs in Defense and HP maximize Arceus-Fairy's physical bulk to better check offensive threats such as Rayquaza, Marshadow, and Mega Salamence. Arceus-Fairy can run some other spreads, such as a bulkier spread of 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe and a Bold nature to outspeed neutral-natured base 90 Speed Pokemon while maximizing physical bulk. 88 Speed EVs and a Timid nature allow Arceus-Fairy to outspeed Yveltal, while 96 Speed EVs plus a Timid nature enables Arceus-Fairy to outspeed Palkia. It can also run some Special Defense to better tank special attacks from the likes of Lunala.

Usage Tips
========

Set Stealth Rock against Pokemon that can't do much back to Arceus-Fairy, such as Dark- and Dragon-types as well as Arceus-Ground, Primal Groudon, and Giratina if they lack Toxic. Arceus-Fairy can also set up Stealth Rock against Mega Sableye with no fear, since it forces it out with Judgment, and can cripple Defog Arceus formes with Toxic when they clear Stealth Rock. Arceus-Fairy can cripple its checks with Toxic, so be sure to beat all opposing Steel-types before revealing it. Arceus-Fairy can also use Toxic against Stealth Rock users such as defensive Primal Groudon. It is fine to trade Toxic with Primal Groudon if your team doesn't pack a solid status absorber, as this will always help teammates deal with Primal Groudon. Avoid giving Steel-types free turns by keeping an Arceus-Fairy without Earth Power or Fire Blast in; always try to pressure them by immediately switching to your Steel-type check. Earth Power should be used to take down checks such as Mega Gengar and Steel-types, while Fire Blast hits bulky Steel-types that don't fear Earth Power. Avoid being hit by Toxic to preserve Arceus-Fairy's longevity, and also avoid paralysis, which eliminates Arceus-Fairy's Speed tying potential, making it not able to check what it should.

Team Options
========

Arceus-Fairy running Stealth Rock allows Primal Groudon to run an offensive set that can handle Steel-, Poison-, and Fire-types thanks to its coverage, good stats, and typing. Zygarde-C teams up very well with Arceus-Fairy; Arceus-Fairy is able to switch into non-STAB Ice Beams and Dragon-type attacks, and Zygarde-C is able to easily check threats to Arceus-Fairy such as Ho-Oh, Mega Gengar, and Steel-types. RestTalk Zygarde-C can also switch into status-inducing moves and can act as Speed control if it packs Glare. Ho-Oh is a decent teammate for Arceus-Fairy, being able to pressure the opposing team, beat down Steel-types such as Magearna and Ferrothorn, and profit from Arceus-Fairy's ability to check threats such as Mega Salamence and Zygarde-C. Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Klefki can set up Spikes, and Arceus-Fairy can pressure Defog users to keep their Spikes layers up and has very good synergy with them. Marshadow threatens most Steel-types, pressures stall with its Bulk Up set, breaks defensive cores with Hidden Power Ice and Rock Tomb, and can check Mega Gengar decently with Shadow Sneak and Pursuit. Mega Salamence can check Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh on offensive teams and act as a strong wincon against most other playstyles. Gyarados soft checks Primal Groudon and pressures more defensive builds. Giratina-O and Celesteela can deal with Swords Dance Primal Groudon; Celesteela can check and weaken Stone Edge variants, while Giratina-O walls Fire Punch variants and can phaze Primal Groudon with Dragon Tail or hit it with Hex or Draco Meteor. Primal Kyogre is a solid teammate; its offensive set can weaken Primal Groudon with Ice Beam for Arceus-Fairy and break through defensive teams with Calm Mind, and its defensive variant can absorb status, pressure Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh, and cripple threats such as Ferrothorn with Scald. Yveltal, Tyranitar, and Pursuit users such as Deoxys-A are options to bypass Mega Gengar with. Primal Kyogre with Rest and Mega Sableye can act as status absorbers, with the latter also being able to bounce hazards back.

[SET]
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind

move 3: Judgment
move 4: Earth Power
item: Pixie Plate

evs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Calm Mind is Arceus-Fairy's setup move. Recover allows Arceus-Fairy to maintain its health while setting up. Judgment is Arceus-Fairy's most powerful STAB move and is Pixie Plate-boosted, OKHOing threats such as Mega Salamence, Yveltal, and Arceus-Dark at +1. Earth Power completes Arceus-Fairy's coverage, hitting Primal Groudon and Steel-types that resist Judgment super effectively. Fire Blast over Earth Power allows Arceus-Fairy to surprise and hit Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Celesteela super effectively, as well as hitting Mega Lucario and Magearna harder.

Set Details
========

Pixie Plate is required to use Arceus-Fairy and gives a 20% damage boost to Judgment. A Timid nature plus 192 Speed EVs makes Arceus-Fairy outspeed Jolly Mega Lucario. 252 EVs in HP and 64 EVs in Defense allow Arceus-Fairy to take on physically offensive threats such as Rayquaza and tank +2 Mega Lucario's Bullet Punch and +1 Mega Salamence's Double Edge at after Stealth Rock damage. Full investment in Speed with a Timid nature can be run to allow Arceus-Fairy to Speed tie with fully invested unboosted Mega Salamence and Arceus. Calm Mind boosts Arceus-Fairy's Special Attack and Special Defense stats, making investing in them unnecessary. A offensive EV spread of 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe can be used to maximize offensive presence and OKHO Ferrothorn, Mega Lucario, and Celesteela at +1 with Fire Blast.

Usage Tips
========

This set fits better on Sticky Web-based builds, as it can deal with Yveltal easily and is a threatening setup sweeper, but it can also work well on non-Sticky Web teams. Arceus-Fairy can easily get setup opportunities on some common offensive Pokemon in the tier such as Choice Sacrf Lunala and Yveltal thanks to its high defenses. Avoid Toxic, as it ruins Arceus-Fairy's longevity; a solution to that is to switch in Arceus-Fairy on Will-O-Wisp. Try to weaken the opposing team and KO Steel- and Poison-types to make Arceus-Fairy a successful sweeper. To keep Arceus-Fairy safe for checking threats, control entry hazards, avoid status, and switch in on attacks that can't 2HKO Arceus-Fairy in order to be able to use Recover. Set up with Arceus-Fairy early in the game before an opposing Gengar Mega Evolves to keep Arceus-Fairy safe from it. Gengar can't switch safely into Earth Power and can't OHKO +1 Arceus-Fairy with Sludge Wave, but if Gengar has already Mega Evolved, you should double switch into your Mega Gengar check.

Team Options
========

Pokemon such as Primal Groudon and Ferrothorn can set Stealth Rock for Arceus-Fairy, making it easier for Arceus-Fairy to do its job. Shuckle can set up Sticky Web for Arceus-Fairy, while Arceus-Fairy can beat most Flying-type threats such as Rayquaza and Yveltal and can pressure Giratina-O in return. Primal Groudon and Mega Lucario can beat most of Arceus-Fairy's checks as well as Primal Kyogre, Steel-types, and Poison-types, which makes it easier for Arceus-Fairy to sweep. Toxapex checks such as Primal Groudon, Mega Gengar, and Rayquaza are appreciated, as Arceus-Fairy struggles to beat Toxapex. Primal Kyogre, Mega Salamence, and Rayquaza are good teammates that beat Arceus-Fairy's checks such as Ho-Oh and Primal Groudon. Giratina-O checks Primal Groudon, can use Defog, and profits from Arceus-Fairy's ability to beat down Dark-types such as Yveltal. With Arceus-Fairy being weak to Toxic and other status, Steel-types and Mega Sableye backing it up is appreciated. Zygarde-C checks Ho-Oh, Mega Gengar, and most threats to Arceus-Fairy. It also can weaken the opposing team and has good synergy with Arceus-Fairy, as both can tank each other's weakness, and the Rest set can also come in on Toxic for Arceus-Fairy.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Defog on the Stealth Rock support set can be viably used, but it is outclassed by Giratina-O, Arceus-Water, and Arceus-Ground, as they can threaten most entry hazard setters, while Arceus-Fairy can't. Arceus-Fairy can also run an offensive set with Recover, Judgment, Earth Power, and Stone Edge to break through offense teams and lure Ho-Oh. Thunder can be used to hit Ho-Oh and Primal Kyogre. Iron Defense on the Calm Mind set allows Arceus-Fairy to set up on physical threats and be a powerful and bulky setup sweeper.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Mega Lucario can't switch safely into Judgment and doesn't outspeed Arceus-Fairy, but it can deal huge damage to Arceus-Fairy with boosted Bullet Punch and pressure slower variants with Iron Tail, forcing them out. Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor don't fear Arceus-Fairy unless it runs Fire Blast and can force it out or set up on it. Healthy Magearna can steal boosts from Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy and force it out. Dialga can deal huge damage to Arceus-Fairy, cripple it with Thunder Wave or Toxic, and set Stealth Rock on its switch out.

**Mega Gengar**: Mega Gengar can trap Arceus-Fairy thanks to Shadow Tag and deal a huge amount of damage with Sludge Wave, or it can use Taunt on Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy to take it down with Destiny Bond.

**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh resists Arceus-Fairy's common coverage moves and can hit it hard with STAB moves and burn it with Sacred Fire. Substitute variants can set up on Arceus-Fairy's Toxic if it's not running enough Speed. Arceus-Fairy's only answer to Ho-Oh is the rare Stone Edge.

**Primal Groudon**: Primal Groudon resists Arceus-Fairy's STAB moves and can deal huge amounts of damage to it. Primal Groudon can set up on Arceus-Fairy if it doesn't pack Earth Power, but Toxic still threatens Primal Groudon.

**Primal Kyogre**: Rest Primal Kyogre variants can absorb Toxic and are enough bulky to take Judgment, and they can also burn Arceus-Fairy with Scald and phaze Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy with Roar. Offensive variants almost 2HKO Arceus-Fairy with Origin Pulse and can set up on support Arceus-Fairy sets if it doesn't run Toxic. Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy can't beat Calm Mind Primal Kyogre.

**Poison-types**: Toxapex can set up Toxic Spikes on the support Arceus-Fairy set and can remove Calm Mind boosts with Haze. Arceus-Poison can hit hard with Judgment and steal boosts with Psych Up.

**Toxic Users**: Toxic cripples Arceus-Fairy by making it lose its ability to set up and constantly check physical offensive threats.

**Special Setup Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Lunala can boost their Special Attack and Special Defense stats and beat Arceus-Fairy, but they dislike Toxic.

Hey man! Just wanted to drop a few suggestions:
Arceus-Fairy has a really good defensive type, making it the best check for Dark- and Fighting-types such as Arceus-Dark, Mega Mewtwo X, and Yveltal, and it also has an immunity to Dragon attacks, allowing it to being a decent check to most Dragon-types in the tier.
Most relevant dragon-types in the tier dont really carry Dragon-type attacks but rather use their secondary Stab. Exceptions would be Palkia and Zekrom that aren't as prevailing as Ray, Zygarde or Mmence that get walled due to Fairyceus's bulk not typing. Its not that major but i think its abit misleading.

There's only a few Pokemon in the tier that can resist Arceus-Fairy's STAB move, being Fire- and Steel-types mostly, such as Primal Groudon, Ho-Oh, and Magearna
These pokemon are in almost every team. You might even say unboosted fairy stab is kinda bad since steel types like ferro celest and mag are everywhere. Imo a better way to relay the message would be to say that it can ohko threats such as ray, mmence and deal heavy damage to Zygarde without requiring to carry ice coverage unlike most arceus formes

* Calm Mind is Arceus-Fairy's setup move and boosts its Special Attack to threat the opponent team.
You can talk bout SpDef here too, maybe mention that it doesn't lose to ditto as well.

mentionned marshadow and swapped order between the cm set and the support one, this is still waiting for a qc check btw

Careful about the Overview mentioning things that aren't listed as sets (Defog and 3 atk). Arc-Fairy is also one of the more common Arc formes thanks to Marshadow so you might want to ease up on the last bullet a bit.

SR Usage Tips: setting SR up against Groudon can be tricky due to the threat of Toxic, watch out. Mention setting up Rocks vs Dark and Dragon mons it can get to switch out too. You don't necessarily have to kill all Steels since PDon and Ho-Oh are realistic switchins, so change it to mention that you should be careful not to give free turns to Steel-types. Also mention that this has no fear of setting SR vs Sableye teams. Mention other mons that can help handle PDon (Giratina-O, Mence, Ray) as teammates.

CM Usage Tips: explain why this set is good on Webs (hard Yveltal check) and make sure to say it works fine on non-web teams. Mention partners for handling Toxapex

C&C: Steel-type bullet should just be Steel-types, since most of them can beat Fairyceus (Scizor, Ferro, Celes, Solg, Magearna) when healthy.

I'll stamp once these edits are made.

Overview:
* However, Arceus-Fairy suffers from the omnipresence of Ho-Oh, Steel-types, and Mega Gengar in the metagame, making it outclassed by Arceus-Ground.
Not a big fan of this point as Arceus-Fairy performs super different roles than Arceus-Ground, being able to set up SR vs Sabeleye teams and also deal with things like Yveltal a lot better.

Set:
Discussed with other QC, and Earth Power shouldn't be slashed on the SR set as the lack of toxic prevents you from pressuring things like opposing support Arceus and other non steel type switchins as well.

Usage Tips:
Trading Toxic with Primal Groudon can be effective if you have no great status absorb. Ensuring the passive damage on Groudon can assist teammates that like the support set weakened.

Team Options:
* Yveltal, Tyranitar, and Pursuit users such as Deoxys-A are options to bypass Mega Gengar.
If you want to mention niche Pursuiters you can also mention Marshadow as it also threatens Gengar with Shadow Sneak. Marshadow can actually get its own point as it can threaten steels with fighting stab, gengar with sneak/pursuit, and appreciates Arceus-Fairy dealing with things like Yveltal.

* Primal Kyogre with Rest and Mega Sableye can act as status absorbers, the latter also being able to bounce hazards back.
You can probably mention Primal Kyogre on its own point as its defensive set can be mentioned as a status absorb, and its offensive set can use mentioning as Arceus Fairy and Kyogre can both weaken Primal Groudon for each other.

SD Primal Groudon can take advantage of Arceus-Fairy despite it being able to Toxic it. Mention some SD Primal Groudon checks that can fit on a bulky offensive team where Arceus Fairy is found.

Other Options:
* Defog on the Stealth Rock support set can be used, as it can be a viable Defog user.
I think you are misunderstanding Other Options. The defog set is mentioned here not because its viable but instead you need to explain why Defog Arceus Fairy is outclassed.

Will stamp when my changes are implemented.

Toxic should be the only 4th move, it is too essential really.

Arceus-Fairy is definitely not outclassed by Arceus-Ground, which you write in the overview.

Team options for the SR set is weird because it should lean on more offensive teammates. When using SR Arceus you free up Groudon to do more offensive stuff and the best way to take advantage of this is using offense! So rather than lame balance teammates like Ho-oh, Tyranitar, and Sableye (to name a few), mention stuff like Marshadow, Salamence and even Gyarados.

It's best if things like this are listed in order of relevance.

it can set Stealth Rock against most Defog users and beat most of them in a one-on-one situation
Not too sure about this one. You outright beat Gira-O. Against support Arc that aren't Dark / Dragon you trade Toxic. You beat Mega Sab, but a risky op might be able to get you to toxic or sr yourself.

Its movepool also allows it to run offensive sets, such as Calm Mind.
This sentence doesn't really say anything at all.

Overall I think that the intro could have more depth to it. Think larger implications for teambuilding.

In C&C please merge the steel-types into a single section and list all the relevant ones that check Arc Fairy.

Fix these things and I'll stamp.

Arceus-Fairy has a really good defensive type, making it one of thebest check for Dark- and Fighting-types such as... Mega Mewtwo Y
Do you mean MM2X?

...can set Stealth Rock against most hazard control Pokemons and pressure most of them with Toxic or Judgment, althrough it still has to be wary from Mega Sableye...
This phrasing gives the wrong impression. When I mentioned Mega Sab earlier I was doing a run through of all anti-hazard ops in comparison to the blanket statement the previous intro said about how SR Arc Fairy matches up against anti-hazard mons. It was not to explicitly mention what you've put here, which is off. I wanted to see a sentence that more accurately sums up Arc Fairy's matchup vs. anti hazard ops.

Nothing was added to the intro in regards to depth / implications for team building.

Let me make it clear that I'm not asking for more sophisticated writing style or sentences that flow better; I was looking for an elegant intro that completely nails the merits of this mon on a level that isn't readily known by people that are reading the analysis.

In regards to my C&C merger you lazily CPed the two together rather than listing them in an order that makes logical sense or begins with the hardest / most relevant checks.

Stealth Rock provides entry hazards and is very good on Arceus-Fairy, as it's able to beat common hazard control Pokemon with Fairy-type coverage and Toxic, and it frees a team option (what is "team option"?). Recover allows Arceus-Fairy to maintain its HP, allowing Arceus-Fairy it to come in many times and check offensive threats more effectively. But Arceus-Fairy needs to drop Toxic to use that, which makes it kind of unreliable against bulky threats such as Ho-Oh and support Arceus variants formes (variants = set; in this case, this is saying "support Arceus-Normal sets"). Fire Blast surprises Arceus-Fairy switch-ins such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela.

A Timid nature plus 192 Speed EVs in Speed make Arceus-Fairy outspeed Jolly Mega Lucario. The EVs in Defense and HP maximize Arceus-Fairy's physical bulk to check offensive threats such as Rayquaza, Marshadow, and Mega Salamence. The Pixie Plate is needed to use Arceus-Fairy, slightly boosting Judgment's power. It can run some other spreads, such as a bulkier EV spread of 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe and a Bold nature with enough Speed to outspeed neutral base 90s,(RC) while maximizing the physical bulk. Or 88 Speed EVs in Speed and a Timid nature allows Arceus-Fairy to outspeed Yveltal, or while 96 Speed EVs in Speed plus a Timid nature enables Arceus-Fairy to outspeed Palkia. Set Stealth Rock against Pokemon that can't do much back to Arceus-Fairy, such as Dark- and Dragon-types, and Arceus-Ground, Primal-(RH)Groudon, and Giratina if they don't carry Toxic. Luring switch-ins such as Ho-Oh (Ho-Oh is immune to Earth Power so idk if this is supposed to be a different Pokemon or...?) with Earth Power can also help to Toxic them. Arceus-Fairy can also use Toxic against Stealth Rock users such as defensive Primal Groudon. It is fine to trade Toxic with Primal-(RH)Groudon if your team doesn't pack a solid status absorber, as it this will always help teammates to deal with Primal-(RH)Groudon weakened. Try to weaken the opposing team and kill KO Steel- and Poison-types to make Arceus-Fairy a decent wincon. To keep Arceus-Fairy safe for checking threats, entry hazard control is a must-have, avoid status, and switch in on attacks that can't 2HKO Arceus-Fairy in order to be able to use Recover. Set up with Arceus-Fairy early in the game before the opposing Gengar Mega Evolves to keep Arceus-Fairy safe from it. Gengar can't switch safely into Earth Power and can't OHKO Arceus-Fairy at +1 with Sludge Wave, but if Gengar has already Mega Evolved, you should double switch into your Mega Gengar check.

Pokemon such as Primal Groudon and Ferrothorn can set Stealth Rock for Arceus-Fairy, making it more efficient for Arceus-Fairy to do its job. Shuckle can set up Sticky Web for Arceus-Fairy, while Arceus-Fairy can beat most Flying-type threats such as Rayquaza and Yveltal and can also pressure Giratina-O in return. Primal Groudon and Mega Lucario can beat most of Arceus-Fairy's checks as well as Primal Kyogre, Steel-, and Poison-types, which makes it easier for Arceus-Fairy to sweep. Toxapex checks such as Primal Groudon, Mega Gengar, and Rayquaza are appreciated, as Arceus-Fairy struggles in beating to beat Toxapex. With Arceus-Fairy being weak to Toxic and status, Steel-types and Mega Sableye backing it up is appreciated.

Arceus-Fairy can carry some options,(RC) such as Defog on the Stealth Rock support set can be used, as it can be a viable Defog user, but it is outclassed by Giratina-O, Arceus-Water, and Arceus-Ground, as they can threaten most entry hazards setters, while Arceus-Fairy can't. (remove line break) It can also run an offensive set with 3 Attacks + Recover set with Recover,(AC) Judgment, Earth Power, and Stone Edge can be possible to break offense teams and lure Ho-Oh. Thunder can be used to hit Ho-Oh and Primal Kyogre. Iron Defense on the Calm Mind set allows Arceus-Fairy to set up on physical threats and be a powerful and bulky setup sweeper.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Mega Lucario can't switch safely into Judgment and doesn't outspeed Arceus-Fairy with 192 EVs (the standard set has 192 Speed EVs, so this is assumed), but it can deal huge damage to Arceus-Fairy with boosted Bullet Punch and pressures pressure slower variants with Iron Tail and forces it force them out. Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor don't fear Arceus-Fairy unless it runs Fire Blast and can force it out or setup set up on it. Healthy Magearna can steel steal boosts from Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy and forces force it out. Dialga can deal huge damage to Arceus-Fairy or cripple it with Thunder Wave or Toxic and can set Stealth Rock on the its switch out.

**Mega Gengar**: Mega Gengar can trap Arceus-Fairy thanks to Shadow Tag and deal a huge amount of damage with Sludge Wave,(AC) or it can Taunt Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy and take it down with Destiny Bond. (improves readability)

**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh resists both of Arceus-Fairy's coverage moves and can hit it hard with its STAB moves and burn it with Sacred Fire. Substitute variants can set up on Arceus-Fairy's Toxic if it's not running enough Speed. Arceus-Fairy's only answer to Ho-Oh is the rare Stone Edge.

**Primal Groudon**: Primal Groudon resists Arceus-Fairy's STAB moves and can deal huge amounts of damage to Arceus-Fairy it.

Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy can't beat opposing Calm Mind Primal Kyogre.

**Poison-types**: Toxapex can set up Toxic Spikes on the support Arceus-Fairy set and can cancel remove Calm Mind boosts with Haze. Arceus-Poison can hit hard with Judgment and steal boosts with Psych Up.

**Toxic Users**: Toxic cripples Arceus-Fairy and lessens its longevity, making it lose its ability to set up or and constantly check physical offensive threats.

**Special Setup Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Lunala can boost their Special Attack and Special Defense stats and beat Arceus-Fairy, but they dislike Toxic.

Arceus-Fairy also has access to the unique Fairy-type Judgment coupled with coverage options and Toxic, which makes it able to pressure Fairy-resistant Pokemon found in offensive alike teams. However, Arceus-Fairy suffers from the omnipresence of Ho-Oh, Steel-types, and Mega Gengar in the metagame. The A downside of using Arceus-Fairy over Arceus-Ground or Arceus-Water in balance and bulky offense builds is being more weak vulnerable to Primal Groudon, Mega Lucario, Ho-Oh, and Primal Kyogre, which are checked by either Arceus-Ground or Arceus-Water, while as well as being more pressured by Mega Gengar.

Moves
========

Recover allows Arceus-Fairy to maintain its HP, allowing it to come in many times and check offensive threats more effectively. Judgment is Arceus-Fairy's main way to deal damage, hitting Dragon- and Dark-types hard. Toxic is useful to for threatening bulky Pokemon that Arceus-Fairy cannot beat with Judgment, (comma) such as Primal Groudon and other support Arceus formes, (comma) such as like Arceus-Water and Arceus-Ground. Earth Power breaks through Steel-types and Mega Gengar, which completely wall Arceus-Fairy otherwise. But Arceus-Fairy needs to drop Toxic to use that Earth Power, however, which makes it kind of fairly unreliable against bulky threats such as Ho-Oh and support Arceus formes. Fire Blast surprises switch-ins such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela.

Zygarde-C teams up very well with Arceus-Fairy; Arceus-Fairy is able to switch into non-STAB Ice Beams and Dragon-type attacks, and Zygarde-C is able to hard easily check threats to Arceus-Fairy easily, such as Ho-Oh, Mega Gengar, and Steel-types. RestTalk Zygarde-C can also switch on into status-inducing moves if it is the RestTalk variant and can act as Speed control if it packs Glare. Ho-Oh is also a decent teammate for Arceus-Fairy, being able to pressure the opposing team, beat down Steel-types such as Magearna and Ferrothorn, and profit from Arceus-Fairy's ability to check threats such as Mega Salamence and Zygarde-C. Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Klefki can all set up Spikes, and Arceus-Fairy can pressure Defog users to keep the entry hazards their Spikes layers up and also has very good synergy with them. Marshadow threatens most Steel-types, pressures stall with its Bulk Up set, breaks defensive cores with Hidden Power Ice and Rock Tomb, and can check Mega Gengar decently with Shadow Sneak and Pursuit.
