Overview
Garchomp comes with a great stat spread; most importantly, its base 102 Speed allows it to outspeed top-tier threats such as both Mega Charizard formes, Kyurem-B, and Mimikyu. Its high Attack stat lets it KO a lot of Pokemon such as both Mega Charizard formes, bulky Kyurem-B, Aegislash, and Magearna. It has a great movepool with reliable STAB moves in Outrage and Earthquake, Poison Jab to strike Fairy-types, and Fire Fang to KO the Pokemon, mostly Steel-types, that are weak to Fire and aren't hit super effectively by Earthquake and Outrage such as Kartana and Ferrothorn. Rough Skin offers chip damage that helps it in turning some 3HKOs and 2HKOes into 2HKOs and OHKOs and some non-guaranteed OHKOs into guaranteed OHKOs, such as when facing defensive Mega Metagross. Rough Skin also helps Garchomp defeat F.E.A.R. Aron. Garchomp's great offensive typing lets it defeat the ever-so-common Steel- and Dragon-type Pokemon such as Magearna, Aegislash, and Mega Charizard X. With an immunity to Electric, key resistances to Fire- and Rock-type moves, which are used by powerful attackers such as Mega Charizard Y and Crustle, and above-average bulk, Garchomp is capable of surviving most non-super effective attacks. However, its 4x weakness to Ice makes it vulnerable to Ice-type attacks carried by common threats such as Kyurem-B, Porygon-Z, and Greninja. Despite having a high Attack stat, it's not able to defeat all physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, and Mega Aggron.

Choiced Chomp
Garchomp @ Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
- Fire Fang / Stone Edge

Set Comments

Moves

Outrage is Garchomp's most powerful STAB move and hits all the Dragon-types such as Kyurem-B and Mega Charizard X super effectively and deals massive damage to Pokemon that do not resist it. It also has a minimal opportunity cost, as in most battles, Garchomp won't get confused. Earthquake hits Steel-, Poison-, Electric-, and Rock-types super effectively and other types that resist Outrage neutrally, allowing it to KO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Mega Metagross, Blaziken, and Jirachi. Poison Jab hits Fairy- and Grass-types super effectively, letting Garchomp KO Whimsiscott, Togekiss, Primarina, Mega Gardevoir, and non-Choice Scarf Tapu Lele. Fire Fang lets it KO other Steel-types that are not hit super effectively by Earthquake such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Kartana. It also comes with a 10% chance to burn and/or flinch the target, which might prove to be useful against F.E.A.R. Pokemon that use Toxic stall such as level 2 Probopass. Stone Edge can be used over Fire Fang to hit Flying-types like Mega Pinsir, as Earthquake can't hit them. It also gives Garchomp EdgeQuake coverage, which few Pokemon resist.

Set Details

252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature let Garchomp outspeed as many Pokemon as possible, which includes non-Choice Scarfed base 100 and below Speed Pokemon such as Charizard, bulky Kyurem-B, and Choice Specs Genesect. 252 Attack EVs with Choice Band allow it to hit as hard as possible. Rough Skin is the ability of choice to hurt physical attackers that use contact moves.

Usage Tips

It's best to send Garchomp in if the opponent has Pokemon that are outsped by it and are not bulky enough to wall its attacks. This includes a huge portion of the metagame, as its base 102 Speed and 130 Attack combined with Choice Band lets it OHKO common threats like both Mega Charizard formes, bulky Kyurem-B, and Magearna as well as having a high chance of KOing Mega Mawile even after Intimidate. Garchomp should use Outrage against most foes barring if they resist it or Garchomp has other coverage moves that deal super effective damage. Avoid sending it against Donphan, Magnezone, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Aggron, as they are able to take its attacks and in return either wear it down or retaliate with their own attacks. Use Fire Fang over Outrage when facing Crustle, as the opponent may predict Garchomp to use Outrage and OHKO Garchomp with Counter. Fire Fang does around 30% damage, which combined with the Rough Skin damage that Crustle suffers on using Counter makes it a guaranteed 3HKO for Garchomp.

Team Options

Powerful special wallbreakers like Porygon-Z and Greninja are great teammates for Garchomp, as they can defeat physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro and Mega Blastoise, which Garchomp struggles against. Porygon-Z can also check Mega Lopunny and Jumpluff for Garchomp. Pokemon that are able to defeat the highly used Mega Gyarados such as Tapu Koko, bulky Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Venusaur are necessary and pair up well with Garchomp. as Mega Gyarados is able to KO it with Outrage. Mega Gyarados itself emerges as another great teammate for Garchomp, as it is capable of defeating Sturdy Pokemon and other Pokemon that Garchomp is not able to defeat like Mega Slowbro, Mega Aggron, Dragonite, and Donphan. Garchomp has great synergy with Mega Venusaur, since Mega Venusaur beats Mega Gyarados, Donphan, Magnezone, Mega Altaria, and Mega Slowbro, which defeat Garchomp, while Garchomp can check the Pokemon that defeat Mega Venusaur such as both Mega Charizard formes, Icium Z Kyurem-B, and Mega Metagross. Choice Specs Magearna defeats Kyurem-B, Mega Gyarados, Tapu Lele, Mega Altaria, and Mega Slowbro, turning out to be another great partner for Garchomp. Aegiaslash and Genesect can be paired with Garchomp to scare off the abundant Fairy-types such as bulky Mega Mawile, Mega Altaria, and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, which can be problematic for Garchomp. Mega Heracross can defeat Mega Gyarados, Kyurem-Black, Mega Slowbro, and all Sturdy Pokemon, which Garchomp appreciates, making it a reliable team member.

Strategy Comments

Other Options

Fling can be used to defeat Air Balloon Heatran and Magnezone. Choice Scarf boosts Garchomp's Speed, letting it defeat fast offensive threats such as Greninja and Choice Scarf Kyurem-Black and granting it guaranteed wins against Blaziken and Jirachi, but without Choice Band's Attack boost, it's unable to defeat other common threats like Mega Mawile, Magearna, bulky Kyurem-B, and Aegislash. Swords Dance along with Z-Moves is an effective check to a lot of walls in 1v1 and helps Garchomp KO a lot of bulky Pokemon that otherwise are able to tank its hits including Mega Slowbro, Mega Venusaur, and Chansey. Devastating Drake is an option that hits hard, and with it, Garchomp can OHKO Dragonite and bulky Kyurem-Black.Tectonic Rage is a similar option that lets Garchomp always OHKO Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Tapu Lele, which Garchomp is not always able to defeat with Earthquake. Corkscrew Crash with Iron Tail lets Garchomp lure in and defeat some Fairy types that usually defeat it, namely bulky Tapu Lele and Mega Altaria. However, running Z-Moves leaves it without Choice Band, which decreases the power of its other moves and the capability of defeating other bulky offensive Pokemon, resulting in loss of other ties. Garchomp also gets to use Substitute along with Z-Moves, which helps in blocking status moves, defeating F.E.A.R. Pokemon, and taking Z-Moves from other Pokemon, but Substitute leaves it devoid of coverage options. Mega Garchomp with an EV spread of 248 HP / 176 Def / 76 SpD / 8 Spe and an Impish nature with the moves Outrage, Earthquake, Rock Tomb, and Swords Dance can be used as a bulkier option. The EVs are optimized to defeat all the Sturdy Pokemon, Porygon-Z, bulky Primarina, and Heatran as well as Blaziken with Hidden Power Ice, which usually defeat it. 8 Speed EVs let it outspeed base 100 and below Speed Pokemon such as Mimikyu after Rock Tomb. This set gives Garchomp a major advantage in Team Preview, owing to regular Garchomp being weak to the aforementioned threats, and it can give a huge surprise to the opponent.

Checks and Counters

Ice-type Attacks: Ice-type moves do a lot of damage to Garchomp, as it is 4x weak to Ice. Pokemon like Kyurem-B, Porygon-Z, Donphan, Greninja, and Genesect carry Ice-type moves and are able to defeat Garchomp if they outspeed it or survive its attacks. Life Orb Blaziken with Hidden Power Ice can also defeat Garchomp after a +1 Speed boost. Mega Aggron with Avalanche can decide not to Mega Evolve and OHKO Garchomp with it.

Physically Bulky Pokemon: Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, and Mega Aggron are able to tank Garchomp's attacks and either wear it down by boosting their defenses and healing or KO it with their attacks. Mega Altaria can take a Choice Band Poison Jab from Garchomp with ease and retaliate with a Pixilate-boosted Giga Impact or Hyper Beam, both of which are able to OHKO it.

Sturdy Pokemon: Donphan and Choice Specs Magnezone are able to survive a hit thanks to their ability Sturdy and KO Garchomp with with Ice Shard and Hidden Power Ice, respectively. Golem also mostly defeats Garchomp by the virtue of having Z-Moves, Counter, and Sucker Punch in its sleeves.

Faster Offensive Pokemon: Garchomp gets outsped by some hard hitters like Greninja, Choice Scarf Kyurem-B, Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and Mega Lopunny, which can OHKO it.

Overview
- Garchomp comes with a great stat spread most importantly base 102 speed which allows it to outspeed a lot of Pokemon. examples?
- It has a great movepool which gives it coverage to hit a lot of Pokemon super effectively. again, give examples of what pokemon its coverage allows it to hit
- Rough Skin offers chip damage and helps it defeat Endeavor Aron. why is chip damage important besides aron?
- With an immunity to Electric, key resistances to Fire- and Rock-type moves, and above-average bulk, Garchomp is capable of surviving most non super effective attacks.
- Also has a mega evolution with insanely boosted attacking stats which makes it a devastating wallbreaker.
- Its 4x Ice weakness makes it vulnerable to Ice-type attacks. which pokemon specifically threaten garchomp with ice moves
- Despite its high attacking stat its not able to defeat all the physically defensive Pokemon.
- Mega Garchomp comes at the cost of its speed which leaves it outsped by a lot of base 100 and above speed Pokemon.
- mention its high attack stat

Choiced Chomp
Garchomp @ Choice Band / Choice Scarf (spaces before and after slashes)
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD Or 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpA

- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
- Fire Fang / Fire Blast (again)

Moves

- Outrage is Garchomp's most powerful STAB move Power what's this "power" for which hits all the Dragon-types such as Kyurem-Black, and Mega Charizard X super effectively and deals massive damage to those Pokemon who don't resist it. It doesn't need to worry about confusion and locking into the move since its 1v1 and the main purpose is to KO the opposing Pokemon first.
- Earthquake hits Steel-, Poison-, Electric-, and Rock-types super effectively and other types which resist Outrage neutrally allowing it to KO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Mega Metagross, and Jirachi.
- Poison Jab hits Fairy- and Grass-types super effectively letting it KO Tapu Bulu, Whimsiscott, and Togekiss.
- Fire Fang is mainly in the set to KO Genesect, Ferrothron Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Kartana. Celesteela still lives three Fire Fangs despite being weak to Fire. It also comes with a 10% chance to burn and/or flinch the target which might prove to be useful against Lv1 Sturdy Pokemon which use Toxic stall. sturdy pokemon such as
- Fire Blast turns out to be better than Fire Fang in the some cases such as wehn facing Ferrothorn so its used with the Scarf set.
Set Details

- The Band set uses the first EV spread and Jolly nature. 252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature to outspeed as many Pokemon as possible and 252 Attack EVs with Choice Band allows it to hit as hard as possible.
- The Scarf set uses the second EV spread and Naive nature. 252 Speed EVs along with a Naive nature along with Choice Scarf to maximize Garchomp's speed allows it to outspeed a major part of the meta including Choice Scarf Kyurem-Black, Scarf Porygon-Z, Scarf Genesect, and Greninja. 252 Attack EVs for maximum damage output and 4 SpA to increase Fire Blast's power. 4 spa EVs doesn't increase it by anything, don't mention it
- Rough Skin is chosen as the ability to get chip damage. again, why is chip damage useful in certain situations
Usage Tips

- Its best to send Scarf Garchomp if the opponent has Pokemon which are outsped by it and are not bulky enough to wall its attacks. This section includes a large portion of the meta as its base 102 Speed and 130 Attack lets it KO common threats like both Mega Charizard, Scarf Kyurem-Black, Scarf Porygon-Z, Specs Greninja, Mega Pinsir, Tapu Koko, Mimkyu, Mega Gengar, Scarfed Togekiss, and Jirachi. no need to list every pokemon it beats, just mention a few key ones
- Use Outrage against all the Pokemon except Fairy-types and those who resist it.
- Avoid sending it against physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, Deoxys-D, and Avalugg as they are able to tank its attacks and defeat it most of the time.
- Use Earthquake when facing Crustle as the opponent may predict Garchomp to use Outrage and use Counter to OHKO it. Earthquake does around 49% damage, combined with the Rough Skin damage that Crustle suffers on using Counter makes it a guaranteed 2HKO for Garchomp.
- The Band set defeats Bulky Kyurem-Black and loses to Choice Scarf Kyurem-Black whereas the Scarf set defeats Choice Scarf Kyurem-Black and loses to Bulky Kyurem Black so predict accordingly.
- It faces a hard time against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Magnezone. They are able to survive at least one hit and most of them KO it back with their moves. "it faces a hard time" sounds very odd. reword it so it make sense. also this sounds more like a c&c section, so add something like "avoid bringing in garchomp against these pokemon"
Team Options

-
Pokemon that can defeat Mega Gyarados and physically defensive Pokemon pair up well with Garchomp like Tapu Koko, Porygon-Z, Genesect, and Mega Venusaur. Garchomp in turn covers Mega Venusaur's weaknesses by checking Both Mega Charizard, Mega Pinsir, and Genesect.
- Mega Gyarados emerges out as another great teammate for Garchomp as it is capable of defeating Sturdy Pokemon, other physically bulky Pokemon like Mega Slowbro, Deoxys-D, and Donphan which Garchomp can't.
- Choice Specs Magearna defeats Kyurem Black, Porygon-Z, Mega Gyarados, Tapu Lele, Mega Blastoise, Primarina, Mega Slowbro, Mega Pinsir, Deoxys-D, Umbreon, Sableye, and Avalugg turning out to be a great partner for Choice Scarf Garchomp. While at the same time, Choice Scarf Garchomp covers Magearna's weak points by having the capability of defeating both the Mega Charizard, Tapu Koko, Genesect, and Victini.

Endure Chomp

Garchomp @ Salac Berry / Liechi Berry spaces and slashes
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Endure
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab / Fire Fang / Fire Blast / Iron Head again
Set Comments

Moves

- Endure allows Garchomp to survive one attack and scout for the opponent's move along with getting +1 Speed/Attack boost if it does 75% damage or more.
- Outrage is its strongest STAB move which does a lot of damage.
- Earthquake takes care of those Pokemon which wall Outrage. such as?
- The last moveslot can be occupied by Poison Jab, Fire Fang or Iron Head depending upon the team requirements. Poison Jab hits Fairy-types with great power. Fire Blast and Fire Fang should be used with Salac Berry and Liechi Berry respectively and they KO the likes of Genesect, Kartana, and Ferrothorn. give poison jab and fire fang/fire blast their own bullets
Set Details

- Max Speed EVs with a Jolly nature along to outspeed most of the Pokemon in the meta.
- 252 Attack EVs for maximum power.
- Rough Skin provides free damage to physical attacker using contact moves.
- Salac Berry defeats faster offensive Pokemon while Liechi Berry defeats bulky offensive Pokemon. examples of what salac can help beat and what liechi can help beat
Usage Tips

- Use Salac Berry if your team requires a counter to fast Scarf attackers like Scarfed Kyurem-Black and Liechi Berry if the team requires a powerful attacker against bulky offensive Pokemon such as Bulky Icium-Z Kyurem-Black.
- Use Endure if you think the foe's attack will KO Garchomp so that it lives one attack and get +1 Speed/Attack Boost. It also helps in breaking Sturdy and hurts physical attackers with Rough Skin. This combo acts as pseudo Sash + Scarf/Band. fluff After gaining +1 Speed boost it can KO faster Pokemon easily such as Scarf Kyurem-Black, Tapu Koko, Genesect, and Scarf Porygon-Z without Ice Beam and +1 Attack boost gives it a high chance of KOing Primarina, Bulky Kyurem-Black, Magearna, Bulky Porygon-Z, Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini, and Meloetta.
- Outrage to be used most of the time against all non-resisted Pokemon.
- When Facing Crustle, use Earthquake on the first turn as it survives one Outrage and will be going for Counter to KO Garchomp and then use Endure on the second turn followed by Outrage if using Salac Berry. In case of Liechi Berry, use Earthquake then Outrage. This strategy lets you to beat 112 Speed EVs invested Crustle even if it goes for Shell Smash on the first turn and still by any chance if it gets outsped by Crustle, Garchomp still survives an Earthquake fairly easily.
Team Options

- Tapu Koko and Mega Venusaur pair up well with Endure Garchomp. Tapu Koko and Mega Venusaur scare off Mega Gyarados and Primarina which are able to defeat Salac Berry Garchomp and Mega Venusaur can also take on Magnezone which survives an Earthquake because of Sturdy and one hits Garchomp with Hidden Power Ice.
- Mega Gyarados is another good team member as it scares Donphan, Mega Slowbro, and Deoxys-D which Garchomp can't defeat. gyara also defeats dnite
- Choice Scarf Trick Porygon-Z can take on Mega Gyarados, Deoxys-D, Chansey, and Umbreon which can take multiple hits from Garchomp and either KO it with their own moves or wear it down.
this seems lacking, list team options that can take care of pokemon like mega venusaur and others

Other Options

- In the Scarf set, Iron Tail could be used over Poison Jab to always defeat Tapu Lele but it has low accuracy. its not low, just unreliable compared to the other moves
- 252 Attack EVs invested Z-Outrage OHKOes Bulky Porygon-Z, Bulky Kyurem-Black, has a high chance of OHKOing Meloetta and 2HKOes Mega Venusaur. just say "Dragonium Z is an option that hits hard"... and say why its outclassed by the choice items
- Fling can be used on the Choiced sets to defeat Air Balloon Heatran, Magnezone and Pokemon that carry Counter.
- Z-Earthquake with 252 Attack EVs invested, can be used to always OHKO Magearna, Primarina, and Mega Mawile, Tapu Lele. same as dragonium z
- [Rocky Helmet set] ??
- [Other Options - Mega] this has nothing in it, mention why it is outclassed by scarf/band garchomp and say what niche it has over normal chomp
Checks and Counters

Ice-type moves:
Ice-type moves do a lot of damage to Garchomp as it is 4x weak to Ice. Pokemon like Kyurem-Black, Porygon-Z, Donphan, Greninja, and Genesect carry Ice-type moves and are able to defeat Garchomp if they outspeed it or live its attacks.
Physically Defensive Pokemon: Avalugg, Mega Slowbro, Chansey, Umbreon, Type:Null, and Deoxys-D are able to tank Garchomp's attack and they either wear it down by boosting their defenses and healing or KO it with double damage moves like Counter and Avalanche. avalugg can also be put into ice-type moves
Sturdy Pokemon:
Donphan, random comma? and Choice Specs Magnezone are able to take one hit and KO it back with their moves.
Faster Offensive Pokemon: Banded Garchomp gets outsped by some hard hitters like Greninja, Scarf Kyurem-Black, Scarf Porygon-Z, Scarf Genesect which are able to OHKO it while the Scarf set outpseeds most of the Pokemon but gets outsped by Scarf Pheromosa which carries Ice Beam which OHKOes it. scarf pheromosa is bad, don't mention it
this is pretty good, mostly just mention more examples in the overview and go into slightly more detail

Overview
- Garchomp comes with a great stat spread most importantly base 102 speed which allows it to outspeed a lot of Pokemon. Give example of which notable Pokemon it can outspeed
- It has a great movepool which gives it coverage to hit a lot of Pokemon super effectively. Same as above.
- Rough Skin offers chip damage and helps it defeat Endeavor Aron. Does the chip damage help it in another matchup?
- With an immunity to Electric, key resistances to Fire- and Rock-type moves, and above-average bulk, Garchomp is capable of surviving most non super effective attacks. Mention two or three popular Pokemon that uses such moves.
- Also has a mega evolution with insanely boosted attacking stats which makes it a devastating wallbreaker. Is that really important? Garchompite should never be used tbh.
-
Its 4x Ice weakness makes it vulnerable to Ice-type attacks. from which Pokemon?
- Despite its high attacking stat its not able to defeat all the physically defensive Pokemon. Such as?
- Mega Garchomp comes at the cost of its speed which leaves it outsped by a lot of base 100 and above speed Pokemon. Not important.
+Mention its great typing that let it beat and resist popular Pokemon like Steel-type Pokemon, mention its high attack.

Moves

- Outrage is Garchomp's most powerful STAB move Power (Base Power?) which hits all the Dragon-types such as Kyurem-Black, and Mega Charizard X super effectively and deals massive damage to those Pokemon who don't resist it. It also has a minimal opportunity cost as in most games it won't get confused.
- Poison Jab hits Fairy- and Grass-types super effectively letting it KO Tapu Bulu (not relevant), Whimsiscott, and Togekiss, Non-Scarfed Lele if Garchomp has Choice Band
- Fire Fang is mainly in the set to KO Genesect, Ferrothron, Mega Scizor, and Kartana. Celesteela still lives three Fire Fangs despite being weak to Fire. It also comes with a 10% chance to burn and/or flinch the target which might prove to be useful against Lv1 Sturdy Pokemon which use Toxic stall.
- Fire Blast turns out to be better than Fire Fang in the some cases such as wehn facing Ferrothorn so its used with the Scarf set.
Set Details

- The Band set uses the first EV spread and Jolly nature. 252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature to outspeed as many Pokemon (Non scarfed base 100 such as...) as possible and 252 Attack EVs with Choice Band allows it to hit as hard as possible.
252 Attack EVs for maximum damage output and 4 SpA to increase Fire Blast's power not needed.
- Rough Skin is chosen as the ability to get chip damage against which Pokemon?
-Mention when to use Band and when to use Scarf. you forgot to say what band beats. Band is also a superior choice since its the only way garchomp can survive in the metagame.

(Cut down the examples after Greninja)
- Use Outrage against all the Pokemon except Fairy-types and those who resist it. (I'd re-phrase that better)
- Avoid sending it against physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, Deoxys-D, and Avalugg as they are able to tank its attacks and defeat it most of the time. Remove avalugg, not relevant this gen.
Idk if that's necessary, will leave it for other QC.
- It faces a hard time against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Magnezone. They are able to survive at least one hit and most of them KO it back with their moves. (Re-phrase it to say Avoid picking Garchomp when seeing these Pokemon, mention which moves.)

You name a lot of Pokemon as teammates but only say that Garchomp covers Mega Venusaur weaknesses? Why not just put it alone then? I'd put physically defensive Pokemon alone, and Pokemon that beat mega dos alone.
Please do not give so many examples, just 3 is enough.
-Mention Pokemon that pairs well against Fairy-type Pokemon as they can be problematic.

- Choice Scarf Trick Porygon-Z can take on Mega Gyarados, Deoxys-D, Chansey, and Umbreon which can take multiple hits from Garchomp and either KO it with their own moves or wear it down.

This isn't a set in gen 7 1v1, so I don't think it really deserves one and I think all QC members share same opinion after that Discord chat in the analysis channel.

Other Options

- In the Scarf set, Iron Tail could be used over Poison Jab to always defeat Tapu Lele but it has low accuracy.
- 252 Attack EVs invested Z-Outrage OHKOes Bulky Porygon-Z, Bulky Kyurem-Black, has a high chance of OHKOing Meloetta and 2HKOes Mega Venusaur.
- [Rocky Helmet set]
-[Other Options - Mega]

-Mention Sword Dance + Z-Moves being an effective check to a lot of walls in 1v1 but fails to take on the offensive side of the metagame effectively.

Sturdy Pokemon: Donphan and Choice Specs Magnezone are able to take one hit and KO it back with their moves.
Some imperfections, too many examples sometimes. I don't know if Choice Scarf deserves to be slashed alongside Choice band or be put in OO since Garchomp really needs that Choice Band to survive in a bulky oriented metagame. Tagging Kentari lost heros Elo Bandit to respond to this when making their QC.

Amazing work dude.
QC 1/3 (I think u need now 3 qc since were 4, will check)
Implemented the changes here! Thanks for the suggestions, AM QC, and QC
Few things that I'd like to bring up
- Outrage is Garchomp's most powerful STAB move Power what's this "power" for which hits all the Dragon-types such as Kyurem-Black, and Mega Charizard X super effectively and deals massive damage to those Pokemon who don't resist it. It doesn't need to worry about confusion and locking into the move since its 1v1 and the main purpose is to KO the opposing Pokemon first.
It doesn't need to worry about confusion and locking into the move since its 1v1 and the main purpose is to KO the opposing Pokemon first.
- I messed that up lol. Yeah I meant Base Power by that but during checking the analysis I accidentally removed something while I was editing and forgot to correct that.

- Should Deoxys-D be listed in C&C? While I was calculating the damage output I thought that Deoxys-D uses 252 HP and Def which walled Garchomp so I had put it in C&C but after reading the set in the analysis its 252 HP and Speed so Band Garchomp has a chance of defeating it :P
252 Atk Choice Band Garchomp Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Deoxys-Defense: 195-231 (64.1 - 75.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Choice Band Garchomp Outrage vs. +2 252 HP / 0 Def Deoxys-Defense: 99-117 (32.5 - 38.4%) -- 2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

After Leftovers and Iron Defense the lowest roll does 84%, average does 93%, highest does 102%

Overview
- Garchomp comes with a great stat spread most importantly its base 102 speed which allows it to outspeed a lot of Pokemon such as both Mega Charizards, Kyurem-B, Landorus, and many more.
- Its high 130 Base Attack stat lets it KO a lot of Pokemon such as Mega Charizards, Bulky Kyurem-B, and Magearna.
- It has a great movepool with reliable STABs in Outrage and Earthquake, Poison Jab to strike Fairy-types and Fire Fang allows it to KO the Pokemon, mostly Steel-types, which are weak to Fire and aren't hit super effectively by Earthquake and Outrage such as Kartana and Ferrothorn which otherwise would've walled it.
- Rough Skin offers chip damage which helps it in turning some 3HKOs/2HKOs into 2HKOs/OHKOs and some OHKOs with a high chance into guaranteed OHKOs such as when facing defensive Mega Metagross Rough Skin converts Earthquake 2HKO into OHKO. It also helps Garchomp defeat Endeavor Aron.
- Its great offensive typing allows it to defeat the ever so common Steel- and Dragon-type Pokemon such Mega Charizard X, Magearna, and Aegislash.
- With an immunity to Electric, key resistances to Fire- and Rock-type moves which are used by powerful attackers such as Mega Charizard Y and Crustle, above-average bulk, Garchomp is capable of surviving most non super effective attacks.
- Its 4x Ice weakness makes it vulnerable to Ice-type attacks which are carried by common threats such as Kyurem-B, Porygon-Z, and Greninja.
- Despite its high attacking stat its not able to defeat all physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro, Deoxys-D, and Umbreon.

Moves

- Outrage is Garchomp's most powerful STAB move with 120 Base Power which hits all the Dragon-types such as Kyurem-B and Mega Charizard X super effectively and deals massive damage to those Pokemon who don't resist it. It also has a minimal opportunity cost as in most games it won't get confused.
- Earthquake hits Steel-, Poison-, Electric-, and Rock-types super effectively and other types which resist Outrage neutrally allowing it to KO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Mega Metagross, and Jirachi.
- Poison Jab hits Fairy- and Grass-types super effectively letting it KO Whimsiscott, Togekiss and non-scarfed Tapu Lele.
- Fire Fang is in the set to KO other Steel-types which are not hit super effectively by Earthquake such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Kartana. It also comes with a 10% chance to burn and/or flinch the target which might prove to be useful against Lv1 Sturdy Pokemon which use Toxic stall such as Level 2 Probopass.
- Stone Edge here to hit Flying-types that Earthquake can't hit like Mega Pinsir.

Set Details

- 252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature to outspeed as many Pokemon as possible which includes non-scarfed base 100 and below speed Pokemon such as Charizard, Kyurem-B, and Mimikyu.
- 252 Attack EVs with Choice Band allows it to hit as hard as possible.
- Rough Skin is the ability of choice to weaken physical attackers that use contact moves. Rough Skin doesn't weaken physical attackers, but rather just hurts

Usage Tips

- Its best to send Band Garchomp if the opponent has Pokemon which are outsped by it and are not bulky enough to wall its attacks. This section includes a large portion of the meta as its base 102 Speed and 130 Attack combined with Choice Band lets it KO common threats like both Mega Charizard, Bulky Kyurem-B, Magearna, and Mega Mawile. Garchomp, even Band, does not a guarenteed KO on Mega Mawile because of Intimidate.
- Garchomp should use Outrage against most foes barring if they resist it or Garchomp has other coverage moves that deal super effective damage.
- Avoid sending it against physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, and Deoxys-D as they are able to tank its attacks and defeat it most of the time.
- Use Fire Fang over Outrage when facing Crustle as the opponent may predict Garchomp to use Outrage and use Counter to OHKO it. Fire Fang does around 30% damage, combined with the Rough Skin damage that Crustle suffers on using Counter makes it a guaranteed 3HKO for Garchomp.
- Avoid picking Garchomp when you see Magnezone and Donphan as these Pokemon are almost always guaranteed to win the tie. Both Magnezone and Donphan are able to survive at least one attack, thanks to their ability and the former KOes it with Hidden Power Ice while the latter can defeat it with Z-Earthquake and Ice Shard. I don't really know what you mean by tie. It seems the other pokemon just win
Reorder these points so you're saying what to send it in on, avoid sending it on, and then how to beat the pokemon in that order.

Team Options

-
Powerful Special wallbreakers like Porygon-Z and Greninja are great teammates for Garchomp as they are able to defeat physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro and Mega Blastoise which Garchomp struggles against.
- Pokemon that are able to defeat Mega Gyarados such as Porygon-Z, Tapu Koko, Mega Pinsir, and Mega Venusaur pair up well with Garchomp as Intimidate lowers Garchomp's attack and Mega Gyarados is able to KO it with Outrage. Mega Gyarados, being a highly used Pokemon, increases the necessity of carrying a check alongside Garchomp.
- Mega Gyarados emerges out as another great teammate for Garchomp as it is capable of defeating Sturdy Pokemon and other Pokemon which Garchomp is not able to defeat like Mega Slowbro, Deoxys-D, Dragonite, and Donphan. At the same time, Garchomp defeats Mega Mawile, Again not always Magearna, Tapu Koko, Whimsiscott, and Primarina which threaten Mega Gyarados.
- Garchomp has great synergy with Mega Venusaur. Mega Venusaur beats Mega Gyarados, Donphan, Magnezone, and Mega Slowbro which defeat Garchomp and Garchomp can check the Pokemon that defeat Mega Venusaur such as both Mega Charizard, Icium-Z Kyurem-B, and Mega Metagross.
- Choice Specs Magearna defeats Kyurem B, Mega Gyarados, Tapu Lele, and Mega Slowbro turning out to be a great partner for Choice Band Garchomp. While Garchomp covers Magearna's weak points by having the capability of defeating both the Mega Charizard, Tapu Koko, and Mega Mawile.
- Aegiaslash and Genesect can be paired with Garchomp to scare off the abundant Fairy-types such as defensive Mega Mawile and Scarf Tapu Lele which can be problematic for Garchomp.
This all very good and detailed!

Strategy Comments

Other Options

- Fling can be used in the Choice Band set to defeat Air Balloon Heatran and Magnezone.
- Choice Scarf boosts Garchomp's speed letting it defeat fast offensive threats such as Greninja, Scarf Genesect, and Scarf Porygon-Z but without Choice Band's attack boost, its not able to defeat other common threats like Mega Mawile, Magearna, Bulky Kyurem-B, and Aegislash.
- Swords Dance along with Life Orb is an effective check to a lot of walls in 1v1 and helps it OHKO a lot of bulky Pokemon which otherwise are able to tank it including Mega Slowbro, Type:Null, and Chansey but Garchomp doesn't always get the opportunity to set up against offensive threats and without the Choice items boost, in some cases, it falls short on KOing them.
- Dragonium-Z Outrage is an option that hits hard but that leaves it without Choice Band which decreases the power of its other moves and the capability of defeating bulky offensive Pokemon resulting in loss of other ties.

Fling can be used in the Choice Band set to defeat Air Balloon Heatran and Magnezone. Don't you beat Magnezone unless it's HP Ice and lose if it's HP Ice either way. Choice Scarf boosts Garchomp's speed letting it defeat fast offensive threats such as Greninja, Scarf Genesect, and Scarf Porygon-Z but without Choice Band's attack boost, its not able to defeat other common threats like Mega Mawile, Magearna, Bulky Kyurem-B, and Aegislash. Swords Dance along with Z moves is an effective check to a lot of walls in 1v1 and helps it OHKO a lot of bulky Pokemon which otherwise are able to tank it including Mega Slowbro, Deoxys-D, and Chansey but Garchomp doesn't always get the opportunity to set up against offensive threats and without the Choice items boost, in some cases, it falls short on KOing them. Dragonium-Z Outrage is an option that hits hard and makes it capable of OHKOing a lot of bulky Pokemon. Groundium-Z Earthquake is a similar option which always OHKOes Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Tapu Lele which Garchomp is not always able to defeat with Earthquake but running Z-Moves leaves it without Choice Band which decreases the power of its other moves and the capability of defeating bulky offensive Pokemon resulting in loss of other ties. I'd mention that the Z-Move set gets to run Substitute. You also end up with less coverage on the Z-Move set.

Faster Offensive Pokemon:

Good analysis. 3/3 from me.

Stone Edge can be used over Fire Fang to hit Flying-types like Mega Pinsir, (ac) as Earthquake can't hit them. It also gives Garchomp EdgeQuake coverage, which few Pokemon resist.
Set Details

252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature lets it Garchomp outspeed as many Pokemon as possible, which includes non-sChoice Scarfed base 100 and below sSpeed Pokemon such as Charizard, Bbulky Kyurem-B, and Choice Specs Genesect. 252 Attack EVs with Choice Band allows it to hit as hard as possible. Rough Skin is the ability of choice to hurt physical attackers that use contact moves.

Usage Tips

It's best to send Band Garchomp in if the opponent has Pokemon whichthat are outsped by it and are not bulky enough to wall its attacks. This section includes a huge portion of the metagame, (AC) as its base 102 Speed and 130 Attack combined with Choice Band lets it OHKO (I think?) common threats like both Mega Charizard, B formes, bulky Kyurem-B, and Magearna, and also has as well as having a high chance of KOing Mega Mawile even after Intimidate. Garchomp should use Outrage against most foes barring if they resist it or Garchomp has other coverage moves that deal super effective damage. Avoid sending it against Donphan, Magnezone, Mega Slowbro, (AC) and Mega Aggron, (AC) as they are able to take its attacks and in return they can either wear it down or retaliate with their own attacks. Use Fire Fang over Outrage when facing Crustle, (AC) as the opponent may predict Garchomp to use Outrage and OHKO back Garchomp with Counter. Fire Fang does around 30% damage, which combined with the Rough Skin damage that Crustle suffers on using Counter makes it a guaranteed 3HKO for Garchomp.

Team Options

Powerful Sspecial wallbreakers like Porygon-Z and Greninja are great teammates for Garchomp, (AC) as they can defeat physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro and Mega Blastoise, (AC) which Garchomp struggles against. Porygon-Z can also check Mega Lopunny and Jumpluff for Garchomp. Pokemon that are able to defeat the highly used Mega Gyarados such as Tapu Koko, Bbulky Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Venusaur are necessary and pair up well with Garchomp, (AC) as Mega Gyarados is able to KO it with Outrage. Mega Gyarados, being a highly used Pokemon, increases the necessity of carrying a check alongside Garchomp. Mega Gyarados itself emerges out as another great teammate for Garchomp, (AC) as it is capable of defeating Sturdy Pokemon and other Pokemon whichthat Garchomp is not able to defeat like Mega Slowbro, Mega Aggron, Dragonite, and Donphan. It, since Mega Venusaur beats Mega Gyarados, Donphan, Magnezone, Mega Altaria, and Mega Slowbro, (AC) which defeat Garchomp, (AC) while Garchomp can check the Pokemon that defeat Mega Venusaur such as both Mega Charizard formes, Icium- Z Kyurem-B, and Mega Metagross. Choice Specs Magearna defeats Kyurem-(AH)B, Mega Gyarados, Tapu Lele, Mega Altaria, and Mega Slowbro, (AC) turning out to be another great partner for Garchomp. Aegiaslash and Genesect can be paired with Garchomp to scare off the abundant Fairy-types such as bulky Mega Mawile, Mega Altaria, (AC) and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, (AC) which can be problematic for Garchomp. Mega Heracross can defeat Mega Gyarados, Kyurem-Black, Mega Slowbro, and all Sturdy Pokemon, (AC) which Garchomp appreciates, making it a reliable team member.

Swords Dance along with Z m-(AH)Moves is an effective check to a lot of walls in 1v1 and helps Garchomp KO a lot of bulky Pokemon whichthat otherwise are able to tank its hits including Mega Slowbro, Mega Venusaur, and Chansey after setting up Swords Dance. Dragonium-Z Outrag. Devastating Drake is an option that hits hard, and with it, Garchomp can one shotOHKO Dragonite and Bbulky Kyurem-Black. Groundium-Z EarthquakTectonic Rage is a similar option which lets itthat lets Garchomp always OHKOes Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Tapu Lele, (AC) which Garchomp is not always able to defeat with Earthquake. Garchomp also gets to use Substitute along with Z-Moves, (AC) which helps in blocking status moves, defeating F.E.A.R. Pokemon, and taking Z-Moves from other Pokemon, (AC) but Substitute leaves it devoid of coverage options. Mega Garchomp with an EV spread of 248 HP / 176 SpDef / 176 SpDef / 8 Spe and an Impish nature with the moves Outrage, Earthquake, Rock Tomb, and Swords Dance can be used as a bulkier option. The EVs are optimized to defeat all the Sturdy Pokemon, Porygon-Z, Bbulky Primarina, and Heatran, (rc) as well as Blaziken, (AC) which usually defeat it. 8 Speed EVs lets it outspeed base 100 and below Speed Pokemon such as Mimikyu after Rock Tomb. This set gives Garchomp a major advantage in the team pTeam Preview, (AC) owing to the regular formeGarchomp being weak to the aforementioned threats, (AC) and it can give a huge surprise to the opponent.

Checks and Counters

Ice-type aAttacks: Ice-type moves do a lot of damage to Garchomp, (AC) as it is 4x weak to Ice. Pokemon like Kyurem-B, Porygon-Z, Donphan, Greninja, and Genesect carry Ice-type moves and are able to defeat Garchomp if they outspeed it or survive its attacks. Life Orb Blaziken which may be carryingith Hidden Power Ice can also defeat Garchomp after a +1 Speed Bboost. Mega Aggron with Avalanche can decide not to Mega eEvolve and OHKO Garchomp with it.

Physically Bulky Pokemon: Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, and Mega Aggron are able to tank Garchomp's attacks and they either wear it down by boosting their defenses and healing or KO it with their attacks. Mega Altaria can take a Choice Banded Poison Jab from Garchomp with ease and retaliate with a Pixilate-(AH)boosted Giga Impact or Hyper Beam, (AC) both of which are able to OHKO it.

Sturdy Pokemon: Donphan and Choice Specs Magnezone are able to survive a hit, (rc) thanks to their ability Sturdy and KO it back with theirGarchomp with with Ice Shard and Hidden Power Ice, (AC) respectively. Golem also mostly defeats Garchomp by the virtue of having Z-Moves, Counter, and Sucker Punch oin its sleeves.

Faster Offensive Pokemon: Garchomp gets outsped by some hard hitters like Greninja, Choice Scarf Kyurem-B, Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and Mega Lopunny, (AC) which can OHKO it.

Overview
Garchomp comes with a great stat spread,; (sc) most importantly, its base 102 Speed which allows it to outspeed top-(AH)tier threats such as both Mega Charizard formes, Kyurem-B, and Mimikyu. Its high Attack stat lets it KO a lot of Pokemon such as both Mega Charizard, B formes, bulky Kyurem-B, Aegislash, and Magearna. It has a great movepool with reliable STAB moves in Outrage and Earthquake, Poison Jab to strike Fairy-types, (ac) and Fire Fang allow it to KO the Pokemon, mostly Steel-types, whichthat are weak to Fire and aren't hit super effectively by Earthquake and Outrage such as Kartana and Ferrothorn which otherwise would've walled it. Rough Skin offers chip damage whichthat helps it in turning some 3HKOs/2HKO and 2HKOes into 2HKOs/ and OHKOs and some non-guaranteed OHKOs with a high chance into guaranteed OHKOs, (ac) (not necessary but improves flow) such as when facing defensive Mega Metagross Rough Skin converts Earthquake from being a 2HKO into an OHKO. Rough Skin also helps Garchomp defeat F.E.A.R. Aron. Garchomp's great offensive typing lets it defeat the ever so -so-common Steel- and Dragon-type Pokemon such Mega Charizard X,as Magearna, and Aegislash, and Mega Charizard X. With an immunity to Electric, key resistances to Fire- and Rock-type moves, (ac) which are used by powerful attackers such as Mega Charizard Y and Crustle, and above-average bulk, Garchomp is capable of surviving most non-(ah)super effective attacks. IHowever, its 4x weakness to Ice makes it vulnerable to Ice-type attacks carried by common threats such as Kyurem-B, Porygon-Z, and Greninja. Despite having a high Attack stat, it's not able to defeat all physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, and Mega Aggron.

Moves

Outrage is Garchomp's most powerful STAB move with 120 Base Power whichand hits all the Dragon-types such as Kyurem-B and Mega Charizard X super effectively and deals massive damage to those Pokemon whichthat do not resist it. It also has a minimal opportunity cost, (ac) as in most battles, (ac) Garchomp won't get confused. Earthquake hits Steel-, Poison-, Electric-, and Rock-types super effectively and other types whichthat resist Outrage neutrally, (ac) allowing it to KO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Mega Metagross, Blaziken, and Jirachi. Poison Jab hits Fairy- and Grass-types super effectively, (ac) letting itGarchomp KO Whimsiscott, Togekiss, Primarina, Mega Gardevoir, and non-scarfedChoice Scarf Tapu Lele. Fire Fang lets it KO other Steel-types whichthat are not hit super effectively by Earthquake such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Kartana. It also comes with a 10% chance to burn and/or flinch the target, (ac) which might prove to be useful against F.E.A.R. Pokemon whichthat use Toxic stall such as Llevel 2 Probopass.

Garchomp has great synergy with Mega Venusaur.

Other Options

Fling can be used in the Choice Band set to defeat Air Balloon Heatran and Magnezone. Choice Scarf boosts Garchomp's speedSpeed, letting it defeat fast offensive threats such as Greninja, and Choice Scarf Kyurem-Black, (rc) and grantsing it guaranteed wins against Blaziken and Jirachi, but without Choice Band's aAttack boost, it's unable to defeat other common threats like Mega Mawile, Magearna, Bbulky Kyurem-B, and Aegislash. Z-Corkscrew Crash with Iron Tail lets Garchomp lure in and defeat some Fairy types which-(AH)types that usually defeat it, (AC) namely Bbulky Tapu Lele and Mega Altaria. ButHowever, running Z-Moves leaves it without Choice Band, (AC) which decreases the power of its other moves and the capability of defeating other bulky offensive Pokemon, (AC) resulting in loss of other ties.
