  1. B&W Research Thread

Since this is where the Kyurem thing is posted, I'd figure this is where to post this. Apparently a poster of key chains related to the upcoming 15th movie has been put out, only it includes 2 yet to be seen pokemon (or presumably one could be a form of existing pokemon). One is undoubtedly...
  2. List of Released Dream World Pokemon Mark II

There is a third, albeit much less likely possibility: that a lone wolf or a small group who did not vocalize their fiendish plot figured out a script to spam arceus early on and singlehandedly highjacked the pole.
  3. Let's shake up the DW OU metagame...

I think it would be fun (and interesting) to see everything but the above bolded and Aldaron's proposal lifted for DW OU. With other high powered pokes like Keldeo, Genosect, Shadow Tag Candy, Techniloom, etc, we may find the majority of those others to not be so broken anymore. It is at least...
  4. List of Released Dream World Pokemon Mark II

Just a thought, but what if some figured out a script to spam Arceus (similar to what happened with mudkip and ditto towards the end of the pole) sometime near the beginning and let it run the length of just about the entire pole. That would mean that ONE PERSON may very well have sealed the...
  5. The best of the best!

Set-up Sweeper: Volcarona/Dragonite. Both of these can tear apart teams with just one boost, and are definitely taking down a fair chunk with 2+ boosts. Both are also fairly versatile and have fairly good coverage. On a team together, they are killer. Non Set-up Sweeper: CB Haxorus. While some...

It all depends on what you consider reasonably good. Unburden Hitmonlee has already been mentioned. Personally, I think Sand Force Hippo may have uses. 112 base attack with boosted Quake-Edge in Sand will hurt. Granted, this role is better played by Landorus, but hippo's bulk doesn't hurt it...

Serebii has Shellder, Seel, and Chinchou added for the Sparkling Sea, but nothing new for the other areas. http://serebii.net/blackwhite/sparklingsea.shtml
  8. List of Released Dream World Pokemon Mark II

Absol - Superpower Larvitar - Bite Machop - Low Kick Hippopotas - Superpower Phanpy - Heavy Slam Mankey - Low Kick Seems like they released a number with Superpower
  9. OU CCAT: Nidoking Edition

    1. Zapdos (Physically Defensive) 2. Curse Snorlax 3. Nidoking (Sheer Force) Gen 1 Love!
  10. List of Released Dream World Pokemon Mark II

It is probably related to them being set back in releases from the Earthquake/Tsunami months back, and they're now trying to catch up to where they wanted to be at this point.
  11. Project Mono-Type: Water

    Quagsire. Unaware sets it apart.
  12. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 5 - Sandstorm (Excadrill/Thundurus Banned)

It depends how much they try to speed boost and who predicts better. If they try to boost to +4-6, you should be able to OHKO if you predict when they pass and start hitting since roar has negative priority. If they predict and pass when you are not expecting it, then yes, they may win that if...
  13. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 5 - Sandstorm (Excadrill/Thundurus Banned)

I personally don't find Baton Pass teams broken or all that hard to deal with. While a well played team can be tough, a good player can still beat that team. In other cases, it may be up to luck if you do not have a move that would allow you to otherwise take out a key player. And if they try to...
  14. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 5 - Sandstorm (Excadrill/Thundurus Banned)

Getting back to Baton Pass, doesn't it make more sense (assuming it is "broken", which I don't quite agree with) to ban the ONE poke that "breaks" the move instead of the move itself? Before Magic Bounce Espeon, no one seemed to have a problem with Baton Pass. See my point

Maybe that is your experience, but mine is that Quagsire works quite well if you invest in defense, which it is stronger in anyways and (I believe) quag is better suited as a defensive wall anyways. Defensive quag almost always kills excadrill unless it has been weakened too much by other things...
  16. (Un)Official Smogon University PO Stats -- August 2011

The problem with Lucario is his relative frailty, especially with all the E-quakes and fire moves running amuck. If allowed to set up, especially the SD variants, it can do alot of damage and is almost guaranteed to knock out at least one of the opposing pokes assuming its not too near death...
  17. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 5 - Sandstorm (Excadrill/Thundurus Banned)

Don't forget about QUagsire and Gastrodon as viable Excadrill counters. I smiled just about every time I see an drill and my quag is still at good health. IMO quagsire is the best excadrill counter or at least on par with gliscor. While I have never used it, I image it is somewhat similar with...
