  1. Peaked 1900 Gravity Lando-I Team

Thanks for the replies. I've tried almost all the suggestions: Latias was effective, and healing wish was excellent, but I couldn't find the space for reliable recovery and it got worn down far too easily to effectively counter Keldeo and others throughout the match, especially with life orb...

Is adamant Mega Pinsir a thing? I keep outspeeding it with things I shouldn't.
  3. Peaked 1900 Gravity Lando-I Team

This is a team I made around gravity Landorus-I (a set I fell in love with) the other day, and I've had good success with it, peaking at 1900: However, as is my usual pattern, whenever I get success with a team I plummet in rating immediately after. I want to fix this pattern so I'm trying to...

I tried Gastrodon but it didn't really work too well against those specific things. SpDef Trevenant though is definitely a very reliable counter for the both of them, though I chose to run rest chesto berry because of Thundurus T-Wave and Keldeo scalds. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was looking for something on my team that could counter or at least check Thundurus-I and Keldeo in one, and I ended up going for Lanturn because I couldn't think of anything else. Obviously Lanturn is complete ass and has helped my team very little. I would use Mega Venusaur but I already...
  6. Pokémon Hippowdon

I was going to ask the same thing, but if roost on CB Talonflame is viable, that could sure as hell be. I would personally run another coverage move (Iron head sand force?), but slack off isn't crazy. With T-Tar and sand force I could see it hitting really hard.
  7. Pokémon Hippowdon

Has anyone tried offensive Hippowdon and can give feedback about it? It seems pretty solid in theory, but I'm not sure how it is in practice.

I love this set, but wouldn't Lando-I be a better option for the same thing? Sheer force earth power hits harder and has no Lo recoil, you can invest in only special attack, and outspeed a lot more. It doesn't lure in Hippowdon as well, but does a better job bypassing stuff like Rotom-W...

Thanks for the responses, magic bounce definitely seems like the best bet. I'm also going to try choice banded Scizor, and U-Turn out into a defogger after that. HO teams with a Deoxys-D lead were giving me so many issues.

How do I deal with a Deoxys-D lead? Is it possible to completely shut it down before it sets up hazards, without it using magic coat on you?

What is the best EV spread and nature for an assault vest Tornadus-T that runs Superpower? I can't find the right balance between investing in speed, special attack, and bulk while having a nature that doesn't prove negative on a stat that might be useful ....
  12. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

My bad about the Rotom, but still: 252+ Atk Choice Band Goodra Power Whip vs. 248 HP / 216+ Def Rotom-W: 254-300 (83.8 - 99%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock I'm not sure what any of these calcs show beyond choice band Goodra gets OHKOs that special Goodra can't. Even if you slap specs...
  13. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

Choice banded Goodra anyone? With very high base power moves and sap sipper I could see this set working: Goodra w/choice band 252HP 252+Atk 4 def Outrage Power Whip Earthquake Iron Tail Here are some calcs: 252+ Atk Choice Band Goodra Iron Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Togekiss: 312-368 (83.4 -...

I like to use Kecleon with life orb and max attack adamant, as a dedicated revenge killer with his combination of fake out + shadow sneak/sucker punch. I think with its low attack it needs as much power as possible, and with max HP it still has enough special bulk to take more than one powerful...

Against nearly every wall, Bouffalant has the bulk to take a hit if he 2HKOs them. Getting revenge killed is a problem but you can just withdraw Bouffalant to dent something else later in the match as well. He probably does want wish support if you need to break numerous walls, which is a...
  17. Gen 6 UU Playstyles: Sandstorm

That's a bit of a bad match up considering Heliolisk packs a 120bp 4x super effective move. 252 SpA Mega Houndoom Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Probopass in Sand: 90-106 (27.7 - 32.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO 252+ SpA Choice Specs Sand Force Probopass Power Gem vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Houndoom in...

Why is Seismitoad ranked, and in B- at that? Is it his defensive water absorb set, offensive swift swim set, or something else? I'll probably test out Bouffalant to see if it deserves a ranking. Running his choice banded reckless set through the calc machine he 2HKOs every physically defensive...
  19. Gen 6 UU Playstyles: Sandstorm

What's the best option for a wish passer in a sand team whose typing works well with the team? I know it may seem ridiculous to use Probopass in UU, but it gets both a 1.5x boost in SpD and a boost to its attacks with Sand Force. Its Volt Switch could help gain momentum for the team, and it...

I think offensive Furfrou is underrated: Furfrou w/Life Orb Jolly, 252 speed 252 attack 4 HP Return Sucker Punch U-Turn T-Wave/Wild Charge Return is the main STAB move. Granted, 80 base attack is mediocre at best, especially when jolly not adamant, but with a life orb and high base power...
