Ah, I see. Being Castlevania uses classic monsters can't really base much off it (and characters from the games would be too on the note), that said you'd think they'd be able to make some Machine monsters from the various Metal Gears, Alien monsters from Contra, and Zombie monsters from Silent Hills (you'd know people would freak out if they made a Pyramid Head expy). :P

Most of the classic monsters are in the public domain. They can't use Bela Lugosi's likeness (that's owned by his family), but they can use Dracula. They can use Frankenstein's monster, but not the Universal likeness. They can use a werewolf, not the Wolf Man, etc.
